  • Smartband and sleep as an droid

Hi I just got an Z2 with an swr10 included, and I have used sleep as an droid  for a long time,I found that you are recommending "sleep as an droid" and even have it listed in "Sony select" that is why I was surprised that it do not support the swr10 smartband, so I posted a question on their forum ( https://groups.google.com/forum/embed/?parenturl=https%3A%2F%2Fsites.google.com%2Fsite%2Fsleepasandroid%2Fforum&service=jotspot&ul=1&place=forum%2Fsleep-as-an-droid&showpopout=true&showsearch=true#!topic/sleep-as-an-droid/NoBF7UV4m90 ) and to my suprize they do not have any api information on swr10 so it's not posible for them to support swr10 at the moment. Could you please provide them with the needed information to get Smartband and  sleep as an droid working together both with sensors and vibration alarm //Micke.

I'd like to see integrtaion with myfitnesspal.com and similar sites.  They already support over 50 apps and fitness trackers, I'd like to see the SWR10 get added to that list.  I've heard (but not confitmed) that they (myfitnesspal) do the intergration, they just need the web API to get to the step and related data.

  • Smartband and Lifelog does not detect jogging

    Hello,
Smartband and Lifelog does not detect jogging (does not distinguish walking and jogging/running).
For example - walking with speed 5.7Km/h and treadmill running with speed 9-10 km/h.
    Smartband worn on left hand.

    Hi,
As I understand, lifelog log your exercise as running if the pace is 2.5 steps/ second or above.

  • Smartband and Google+ notifications

    Hi There,
just received my Z2 with bundled smartband yesterday - loving it so far!
I only wonder if notifications for google+ will be added to the apps list, as this would make the smartband my perfect companion.
    Thanks for your answer!
    kind regards,
    Alex

I just realised that you can tap into notification and get more settings.
By the way, Google + is there in the list:

  • Smartband and lifelog accuracy

    Hi,
I've been using smartband with the lifelog app for a couple of weeks now and i've also made some comparison with my Garmin Vivofit.
    Some issues that i've noticed:
    1. Smartband constantly record 10-15% less steps than the Vivofit per day.
    2. Smartband is not recording my walking time. it will track the steps that i take but do not record it in terms of walking time. e.g. as of writing this post, i've clock about 1449 steps, but the walking time that is recorded is only 3mins, which equates to 108m based on the app. Running time at this point is at 0mins and 0 distance. i didn't jog today so i don't think it is possible to clock about 1449steps in 3mins. And given a stride length of 67cm, with 1449 steps i should be recording around 970m rather than 108m. hence there is definitely something wrong here.
is there a bug in the smartband or lifelog app such that it is not tracking correctly? because the difference is too inconsistent.
i've reset the smartband a numbers of times to try to resolve this but it is still not working. i've also tried to close the lifelog app or shut down the phone hoping that it will help to fix this problem but it is not working.
please advise on how to fix this.
secondly, i'm also having issues with the NFC connection. when i try to connect via NFC it will give many reading error messages before successfully connecting or syncing the data. it will also prompt that a new tag is collected and "the tag is empty, to use it download an NFC writer application."
really not sure what this means and how it should be fixed.
    thanks.

    Hi, thanks for your reply.
I don't really have connection issues with the smartband to the phone. I usually disconnect it and only sync it at the end of the day to track my movements. My issues is with the tracking accuracy compared to others fitness tracker. It is sometimes even 30% lower than other devices in steps count and walking time doesn't get recorded properly. Hence was wondering if it is connected the whole time would it improve accuracy which I tried for 1 day but didn't seem to help.
Also noticed that if you are linked the whole time to the phone it will affect the phone data connection. WhatsApp or Line messages will be sent in a delayed fashion, taking longer time to send.
Really not sure what else to do about it since I've tried resetting it a few times.
    Thanks

  • SmartBand and SmartWatch intergration

Not really a support question but a suggestion.
It would be great if Sony can build an app for the SmartWatch which can display information collected from the SmartBand... I mean, both products are made by Sony .... the integration should be quite seamless.
This was the watch can act as the "display" for the SmartBand. Food for thought.

  • Impossible to pair my Smartband with a Samsung S3

    Hello,
I've recieved my smartband yesterday, and i went from excited to mad.
I'm running android 4.4.2 on my samsung galaxy S3 (which have a 4.0 LBE support).
I've downloaded Lifelog / SmartConnect and Smartband applications yesterday, so they're all up-to-date with the latest version.
When I try to pair my smartband with NFC, nothing happens (just the noise when a NFC tag is recognize by the phone).
When I try to pair my smartband with Bluetoooth, it just "connect" then 1millisecond later, disconnects. Sometimes I get error message like err 129 ( with an error message like "something went wrong when asking the device more informations")
I previously had a Withing pulse tracker, which I sold when I pre-order the smartband. I now deeply regret my choice
PS: It's been one year i'm using the SRS BTX300, and it can be paired with both NFC/Bluetooth (I say this just to let you know that my  bluetooth / NFC is working)

I'm sorry to hear about this.
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices will not show in the Bluetooth devices menu.
If you have problems connecting the SmartBand I suggest that you reset the core unit, uninstall SmartConnect, SmartBand and Lifelog applications and reinstall them again. Then try to do another pairing via NFC.
    To reset your SmartBand
    1 Turn off your SmartBand.
2 Press and hold down the power key until notification light A starts flashing.

  • Running with Smartband only

    Hi everyone,
I know others have posted about this, but I can't find an answer to my specific problem...
I went running today, with my Smartband only, leaving my phone at home. When I got back LifeLog showed my run, down to the closest minute, but then when I went back on an hour or so later the run had disappeared, it's still showing my steps but the running value is down to 0. Does anyone know why this may happen?
    Thank you in advance!

I'm still struggling with this, tried resetting it etc and it's still the same. Did a 20 minute jog today, at 12pm I took a screenshot and the running had tracked, by 12.23pm it has disappeared. I'd not disconnected my Smartband or anything. My partner still has the same problem with his smartband and phone. I've noticed that my Smartband will only connect with Bluetooth, when I turn it off and try to connect with NFC only my phone turns Bluetooth on automatically. Could that be affecting it? Thank you all for your help once more.

  • Smartband is not recognized by Smart connect

    Hi
I have 10inch tablet with Android 4.4.2 and BT 4.0. Tablet recognizes the smartband and connects, as well as the band vibrates due to the connection. Other BT devices work with the tablet as well.
However teh Smart Connect does not work. It recognizes headphones and my phone (connected to tablet) but when I establish the connection tablet-band, the Smart Connect does nothing

That's quite odd, have you downloaded Lifelog?

  • How to prioritise connection of CAR Bluetooth PHONE system/ device over SmartBand Talk SWR30

After pondering about this device for over a month I asked my wife to gift it me for Christmas. For 3 days I really liked it, but then a critical flaw became apparent  Having not driven for a few days due to the holidays I set off in my car, only to realise that I was not receiving telephone calls, SMS and other notifications on my built-in car bluetooth system (Ford Sync by Sony/ Microsoft), only on the Smartband Talk. Doing some research it became clear that if my SWR30 was already connected with my Xperia (Z2) my Ford Sync could not connect! I realise the limitations of Bluetooth (i.e. you cannot have simultaneous connections using a same Bluetooth profile) and the workaround is to manually turn off the Phone Audio (handsfree) Bluetooth profile for SWR30 in the Z2. Remembering to turn off/ back on is proving to be irritating and too much effort. I thought I might be able to create an Event (macro) in Sony's Smart Connect app to do this automatically, but this cannot be done as the app is rather limiting! It is more important for my car system to work with my Z2 as I use it frequently and is altogether a safer and more legal way of answering calls etc. Has any one got ideas or suggestions? I really like this SmartBand (its far sleeker & lighter than true smartwatches) and I actually want the talk feature, but if I cannot resolve the car bluetooth problem (and this will probably affect all other Bluetooth car systems/ devices) easily and smoothly, regretfully, the SWR30 will be going back to the seller

As stated before, I really like the SmartBand Talk and was very disappointed to learn that it could not coexist with a car Bluetooth system! Having had a few days off between Christmas and New Year I was determined to resolve this "flaw" and am glad to report that I have and in a slick way! Prompted by "ensaro's" widget suggestion, unfortunately I did not want a toggle which had to be manually executed, it had to be automatic. So I thoroughly researched the Google Play Store, trying out many, and ended up with 2 apps which were real contenders: Trigger (by Egomotion) and Automagic (by Gridvision). Both apps basically allow you to create a trigger (eg Bluetooth Car Audio wants to connect to phone) followed by an action (eg switch off Bluetooth phone connection to SmartBand, followed by switch on connection to Bluetooth Car Audio). Trigger calls this automation task a Trigger, Automagic calls it a Flow.Trigger is fairly intuitive visually, but unfortunately support for this supposedly highly rated app seems no longer to exist! This became very frustrating for me as at times it would not run (however, it also allows a widget to be created to manually run the task manually)... therefore I dug in to the more heavyweight Automagic! Automagic uses a dynamic flowchart, where you add a trigger, an optional condition (true/ false) and finally action(s). The style reminded me of my programing days many years ago and the logical nature excited me. The possibilities are huge and may scare off some users looking for a quick result, but in fact it is really quite easy to use, especially once you undertstand some of the slightly "obscure" terminology used (after all this a German programer at work and some translation suggestions may be required). At the end of the day I created 2 flows, one to connect to the car system (via disconnection of SmartBand and then connection to my car) and one to reconnect to the SmartBand when not in car (the trigger being that the car Bluetooth is no longer connected/ disconnected). These flows are passive and apparently use very little battery power, executing when a trigger condition is matched and so far is working well. If anyone wants to see how my flows are constructed, I will be happy to email them. You open them up directly in Automagic (going to their site allows you to download a 9 day trial with up to 3 flows working)... my flows are embellished with extra actions, such as switching off WiFi and playing a sound when a connection has taken place... and most important of all there is a forum with lots of help and examples and I was really happy when the progaming author, Martin, actually replied to a query... Problem... sorted! Automagic is well worth £2.40   ...
