Smartform Error "No defined value'

Hi ,
I am getting an error message in smartform 'Amount field has no defined value'.
I have declared the amount field in global data & it has default value as '0' & i am computing its value in one of the nodes.
When i try to print this field value at the end in text editor ,it gives the above error message.
Kindly help.
Thanks.

Hi,
If you are using it in the program lines, have you check if its in the list of variables in the upper part of the node (FROM/IN and TO/OUT).

Leonard Chomi.

    Hi friends,
       I have declared a field 'GV_total' for totals in global declaration and also in currency fields.
    I have calculated the total in the program lines into this variable 'GV_total' and displaying this variable GV_total in the text element.
    I have activated the smartform and run the print program, it is displaying the total currectly in the output.
    Now the issue is, when I activate the smartform it is diplaying error message like "GV_total has no defined values".
    how to rectify this error.
    Please help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
    It is just a warning, you can avoid this by specifying a Value(say 0) while declaring the variable in Global definitions.

  • Smartforms error 173

    I would like to know how to solve the following error in smartforms:
    Error number: 173
    Message     : "Table does not fit into window."
    Exception   : FORMATTING_ERROR
    Message ID  : SSFCOMPOSER
    I am trying to fit a main window and another window in a
    template
    Thanks in advance

    As I discovered, this error occurred when there is a conflict between the window created for a template and the template itself. The main node for the template is the window in which one can define a height. In the template, which is the node below the window node, one is also required to enter a value for height that has to be the same value. This can be done in the Template table (tab Template), you’ll find the height defined that is in conflict with the height defined in the table of the window.

  • Error while deleting values of characteristic /1FB/COMPANY/Company (RFC des

    Dear all,
    I am trying to synchronize Company master data between local BCS system and SAP BW with UGMD_BATCH_SYNC program. In the synchronization mode, Full Synschronization (Write and Delete) was selected.
    However, I receive the following error message when executing the program:
    Error while deleting values of characteristic /1FB/COMPANY/Company (RFC destination )
    Message no. UGMD077
    Diagnosis
    When writing or deleting values of characteristic /1FB/COMPANY/Company errors occurred in the system with RFC destination . As the changes have already been defined in the local storage location this results in the master data being asynchronous between the local and remote storage location.
    System Response
    Processing is continued.
    Procedure
    Carry out a manual synchronization of the master data later using report UGMD_BATCH_SYNC. You can find additional information there under Application Help.
    FYI, RFC Destination for my data basis is left blank.
    What may causes this error and how to resolve it?
    Thank you.

    Hi MontyBurns,
    May I know what settings that I need to check in UGMDSYNC program? As far as I can tell, there is only one parameter that we need to specify in the program i.e. Field Name. As I am trying to synchronize from BCS to BW, I have chosen the followings settings:
    Source = LOCAL
    Target = ALLBW
    All,
    Interesting thing that I notice after executing the UGMDSYNC program is the following message:
    Synchronize/Display Variances Between Systems
         The compound dependencies for the attributes or texts are not defined
         uniformly in the systems investigated.
         Example:
         Texts are defined as language-specific in the local systems and as
         language-independent in remote systems (for example BW systems). The
         same can apply for other compounds such as version or time dependencies.
    System Response
         The display of differences between the systems will be affected. A
         manual synchronization will not be completely successful.
    Procedure
         1.  Ensure that the dependencies for the attributes and texts are the
             same in all systems.
         2.  Start the synchronization process again.
    Procedure for System Administration
    I can check the attributes and texts in BW via RSD1 by specifying InfoObject = 0COMPANY and checking the Master data/texts and Attribute tabs. But how do I check similar settings in BCS Workbench? I can't determine whether the Company text is language-dependent or not simply by displaying specific Company from Process View > Master Data > Consolidation Units > Company.
    Thanks.

  • Error Missing Parameter Values

    I am very inexperinced in VB and ASP.Net.
    That being said I have used forums and tutorials to develop the code below.
    In the code I have hard coded some values to be passed to the report for testing...see num_inv and ser_inv.
    When I run the code I get an error "Missing Parameter Values".
    If I remove the lines that setparamervalues and turn on the enableparamaterpromt the report works fine and I can manually enter the values and see my completed report.
    More Details...
    The Crystal Report uses an ODBC connection to a SQL Server.  I am only using one view to feed the report and there are no subreports.  I am buidling the web app in VS2010 with the crystal reports version for VS2010 installed.
    Dorry if I didn't give enough information...I don't know what else is relavant.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
        Private Const PARAMETER_FIELD_NAME_1 As String = "Invoice"
        Private Const PARAMETER_FIELD_NAME_2 As String = "Serial"
        Private Sub WebForm2_Init(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Init
            ConfigureCrystalReports()
        End Sub
        Private InvoiceReport As ReportDocument
    Private Sub ConfigureCrystalReports()
            Dim num_inv As Integer
            Dim num_ser As Integer
            num_inv = 880822
            'Request.QueryString("inv")
            num_ser = 1
            'Request.QueryString("ser")
            InvoiceReport = New ReportDocument()
            Dim reportPath As String = Server.MapPath("S36 Invoice.rpt")
            InvoiceReport.Load(reportPath)
            InvoiceReport.SetParameterValue(PARAMETER_FIELD_NAME_1, num_inv)
            InvoiceReport.SetParameterValue(PARAMETER_FIELD_NAME_2, num_ser)
            CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = reportPath
        End Sub

    I would start by enabling the parameter prompt and passing the parameters in code.  You will only be prompted for the parameters that did not receive an acceptable value.  This will let you see if your code to set the values is working for one or neither of your parameters.  Calling the setparametervalues method will not return an error if the value isn't accepted.
    Also, make sure your datatype is the same as defined in the report, and make sure you have no differences in the parameter names.  Note, if the parameters are automatically created in the report because they came from a stored procedure, you need to include the @ symbol in the name as you see in the designer.

  • DECODE SQL Function - Parsing error in Defining Objects in Universe Designe

    Hi,
    I have created a class and an object in BO XI R3 Universe designer.
    I am getting the parsing error while defining the object when using the custom SQL as
    select decode(matteraction,null,decode(matterissue,null,'MATTER','ISSUE'),decode(matterissue,null,'TYPE IS ACTION',' ACTIONu2019)) as TYPE from wh_cf_cmsu
    The object Type is "character", i have tried with Long Text, Number, Date as well and the same sql works fine by returning String values through TOAD.
    Do we have any constrains in using DECODE in BO XI R3 or any other syntax please....
    Please guide me in resolving this issue.
    Thanks,
    Karthik.

    Hi,
    1.At back end check the data type for matteraction column and define it accordingly in object definition.
    2. Try to break your select clause definition into smaller parts and check it where the exact issue is  as below
    i.select decode(matterissue,null,'TYPE IS ACTION',' ACTIONu2019) ............
    ii.select decode(matteraction,null,decode(matterissue,null,'MATTER','ISSUE') ..........
    iii.select decode(matteraction,null,decode(matterissue,null,'MATTER','ISSUE'),decode(matterissue,null,'TYPE IS ACTION',' ACTIONu2019)) as TYPE from wh_cf_cmsu

    Are the parameters in your procedure in the same order as they are created in this code? Oracle command works by position unless you change it to be BindByName.
    Failing that you seem to have defined a parameter (P_NAME) to have a length of 6, and are then setting it's value to a string with a length of 9.
    Also the in/output parameter is defined as type decimal. Is this correct? It is defined as InputOutput but you don't assign it any value.
    If these suggestions don't help then perhaps if you post the stored procedure you might get some more ideas.

  • Error in Quantity/Value Determination  : VPRS (IV)

    Gurus,

    Lakshmipathi,
    Pricing procedure is defined as you indicated. It is all standard. VPRS is getting determined for other materials for IV. Only for this specific material it is a problem.
    The error says as below
    Diagnosis
    "This condition has not been determined using condition records. The amount or value should be determined from another data source. For cost (condition category 'G') it is read using conditions from the material valuation segment, for a cash discount condition it is read using conditions from the terms of payment table.
    In this transaction an error occurs - the material valuation segment or the terms of payment table could not be read or a currency translation has failed."

  • User Defined field and User defined values.

    Curently testing this in the demo database before rolling it out to a customer.
    I added a user defined field to my item master data base called Lengthcm of type Amount.
    I have created a query:
    SELECT u_lengthcm = CASE
                      WHEN $[oitm.blen1unit] = 5 THEN $[oitm.blength1] * 2.54
                      WHEN $[oitm.blen1unit] = 6 THEN $[oitm.blength1] * 2.54 * 12
                      ELSE 0 END
    Length unit 5 is inches and length unit 6 is feet.
    In Item Maintenance then I create a user defined value for the lengthcm field linked to the query and set to auto-update when the blength1 field changes.
    This works perfectly for 1 inch through 9 inches (1" through 9") and fills in the centimeter value. When I put in a value in feet (1', 2'), it does nothing and if I put in any value of 10" or greater gives an error message:
    [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server] Arithmetic overflow error
    converting nvarchar to data type numeric. 'Received Alerts' (OAIB).
    Checking database structure back end, blen1unit is of type small int, blength1 is numeric of size 19, 6 and so is my lengthcm field.

    I enter not a concrete date but 'sysdate' value.
    The message is of course DD-MM-YYYY in English (DD-MM-RRRR is inPolish). Sorry of mistake.

  • Report error: ORA-20001: Error fetching column value

    Hi,
    I try to build a tabular form with 1 column as "Select List (Query based on LOV)". This select list should display round about 1.100 rows in the LOV ordered by name. So I got the error: report error:
    ORA-20001: Error fetching column value: ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numerischer oder Wertefehler: character string buffer too small
    When I try tho define this column as Popup LOV (Query based LOV) only the the ID of the attribute and not the display value appeares in the row. The LOV it self displays the display number and not the the ID. I want to see the display value in the column of the particular row and the LOV and return the ID to the record by insert or update as it is normal in LOVs of form regions.
    This lot of rows in the LOV is necessary because it is a part to develop formulas like (number_of_acquisitions - number_of_old_parts)/100 or so. The most formulas will be more complex. In the database there should only be the ID as reference to the attributes.
    Please help me to display the attribute bases on LOV in every particular row.
    Thank you

    In Apex 4 there is now a column type "Popup Key LOV (named LOV)" which is exactly what you are looking for.
