Smartform Image size is becoming larger

Dear Experts,
We have designed a smartform for printting letters. We have copied the image from word document and displayed on the smartform. The Images are coming larger in size.
How do we get in the same size, like what it looks like in word document..

Hi,
u can set Resolution ...
The graphic resolution controls the size of a graphic when it is printed. High resolutions produce small graphics while low resolutions produce large graphics.
If you choose default value 0, the original resolution of the imported graphic file is used.
can use following DPI..and check several sizes and chose appropriate
75  dpi
100 dpi
200 dpi
150 dpi
300 dpi
600 dpi

  • Caller Image size have become smaller

Upgraded my Xperia S to andriod jelly bean 4.1.2. Its amazing but I have lost my most favourite feature in Sony Mobile. The Caller Images have become smaller. Before the jelly bean update. The Caller image used to be full size as that of the screen. Post upadate the image size has reduced drastically with a lot white spaces around the image.
    Can anyone help, please

If you have synced your contacts to your for example Google account the contact picture will be cropped and smaller. But if you have local stored contacts and add a contact picture it will still be big.
Gmail recently added support for big pictures so if you add the picture on the contact through Gmail.com you will also get a bigger picture.

  • Encore For Mac Crashing When Project Size actually becomes Larger then the Setup

I've been an Encore user for years on the PC and have recently started using CS4 on the Mac.  I have been having  some issues with Encore crashing, and I think I have narrowed it down to the following.
I encode all of my M2V files for Standard DVD outside of Encore using Episode.  Encore seems to work just fine for me usually until I get toward the end of the project, then it will crash.   The funny thing is, if it crashes once and I'm able to bring the project back up into Encore, I can build a disk image to my hard drive and then simply use Toast to make all of my copies to DVD.  I may not ever be able to bring that project back into Encore to re-edit, but the DVD that I burn from the disk image works just fine.
I believe Encore is crashing once I import assets as a timeline (I usually import my assets directly to a new timeline) which end up being close to or exceeding the disk size of the project settings, which is always standard DVD.   If I import the asset first before creating a timeline with it and actually add it to the project, it does't crash.  But, once I add the content to the project by making a timeline out of it and apparently if it exceeds the size of the standard DVD, Encore will then crash.  Does this make sense?  Why would it crash, it didn't work that way in Encore on the PC, if I had more content then would fit onto a DVD it simply told me that when I checked the build before building it.  This is crazy!
    Thanks!

    Hi Jeff, thanks.
Yes, I have done this.  I thought I explained that in my post.  Okay, well I guess I need to officially report this to Adobe, you would think they already knew it, unless it's an isolated case to my machine, which it could be, that's what I'm trying to find out if anyone can replicate the problem.  I Suppose Windows users aren't experiencing this problem, or maybe just don't realize the problem exist.
I might add, I first discovered this problem when went to encode motion buttons which is usually my last step before building the project.  If the encode turns the project into one that exceeded the expected project disk capacity,  it will usually crash the application, but sometimes I can go ahead and write  a disk image before exiting, but I can never open the project again after that.  If I didn't have a backup, all of the time spent on that project is wasted, and the project files becomes corrupt and will not open.
One last note of interest.  I did a test project where I identified the project as a double sided DVD thinking it would be a good workaround if id didn't crash once I imported more than 4.7 GB of data into active timelines. But that didn't work.  Now I can of course  import as many M2V compliant source clips as I want to and it doesn't crash Encore, but as I convert an asset one at a time into a timeline, *** soon as it exceeds the project disk size, Encore crashes.  Thankfully, I can still open the project, but the project from then on out seems to be very touch and go and Encore then want to crash by simply double clicking too fast or whatever!  Not sure is this later problem is actually related to my initial problem or not.
    Thanks for your feedback.

  • Image size reduction without losing resolution

I am creating marketing materials and product labels for my company using Elements 9. I am not a Photoshop expert but I have a reasonable knowledge of the program. I need to resize certain assets such as logos and paste them onto various documents. The problem I am having is that no matter what method I use to resize, they always lose resolution and appear pixelated and/or blurry in the final printed version.
Normally I receive the assets in a hi-res image. It could be a jpeg or bitmap or any other number of format. I will open it in Elements, select it and remove the background via the Magic Wand>Layer Via Cut, and delete the background layer.
From there, I have tried everything from the simple select, grab the corner and manually drag inwards method, to using Image>Resize>Image Size and filling in the fields. When I performed the latter, I typed in 300dpi, made sure Constrain Proportions was turned on, checked Resample, and selected Bicubic Sharper, and entered the size in inches. Then I copy/paste into the document, and it looks fine. I save, which normally opens up Reader and I print from there. The printed image looks great except for any logos I resized, which look awful. I also tried printing from within Elements, but it won't do it without giving me a message first saying that the document will print at less than 200dpi, which is obviously not desirable.
One I paste the image onto the document, the Image Size>Resize becomes unusable because I can't seem to select just the logo - even with the bounding box clearly visable around the logo, resizing causes the entire document to be affected.
I have tried many combinations of selecting/deselecting every option I can find, including Alias/Anti-Alias (which for some reason sometimes doesn't seem selectable at all). I've scoured forums and tutorials for help on this, and have tried every method I could find. In the end, nothing has worked. There has got to be a way to do this. Our 30 day trial is almost over and we went ahead and purchased the program without knowing whether we could resolve this issue - if we can't, it will be pretty much useless to us. Please help me so I can tell my boss he didn't just waste company money on this program!
In short, my question is, what is the correct (or best) method for reducing image size? Please be detailed - and thank you!

Thanks for the reply Jon, but unfortunately I ended up with the same result as MTSTUNER said (using the Crop Tool).
MTSTUNER, that definitely helped. The problem must have been in pasting, which as you said brings a "non-smart" image over. I was even able to resize a bit on the new document without losing any clarity whatsoever. Very helpful - THANK YOU!

  • Since downloading the 2013 Keynote upgrade, the slide image size on handouts with 3 slides per page option is very small. Is there a way to make the slide size larger while still keeping 3 slides per page   lines?

With the new Keynote upgrade (version 6.1), the slide image size on handouts is very small, which makes it difficult to read slide content when compiling lecture notes for students. Is there a way to make the slide size larger while still keeping to a format of 3 slides per page with lines?

A number of posts have reported the same issue, two workarounds:
    1
check the paper handling options or equivalent in your print dialogue box and set to scale to fit

in the Keynote option, in the dropdown menu in the Print section, select Individual Slides
then choose Layout, and set the number of pages, when printed you will have multiple pages on a single sheet.

  • Web Flash Gallery: Problem setting Large Images size

When using the Lightroom Flash Gallery I am not able to change the size of the Large Images (Web | Appearance | Large Images | Size). When I set the size to Medium or Small, the large images always ends up with the same size as when set to Large. Only when setting the size to Extra Large there is a slight change in size.
How can I change the Large Images size to Medium and Small?

  • Animation size larger than actual image size after saving as gif?

    Hi,
I just created an animation (600x600 pixel) and saved it as gif. Everything seems fine except the grainy quality and the fact that it is nearly twice as large as my actual image size (100%) shown on photoshop. I don't mind the grainy quality but the large size is disturbing... Anyone know why or how to fix this problem?
Any help will be appreciated as it's an anniversary gift and I'm stuck on the last step running out of time . Thanks in advance!
    Angela.

The 300GB partition is the partition I am booting off of, and the one I was writing about. Disk0s1 is the EFI partition, 210MB. The other Internal hard drive is the core storage physical volume, already mounted, mounted in the image. Recovery HD is the 650MB system recovery partition.
I rebooted to the recovery partition and used Disk Utility to verify the volume, it said everything checked out alright.
In disk utility, the top entry has this data
Name :     Internal Hard Drive     Capacity :     319.21 GB (319,213,174,784 Bytes)
Type :     Logical Volume Group     Available :     16.8 MB (16,777,216 Bytes)
Disk Status :     Online     Used :     319.2 GB (319,196,397,568 Bytes)
However the other entry, right below it has this
         Mount Point :     /     Capacity :     318.88 GB (318,877,626,368 Bytes)
Format :     Encrypted Logical Partition     Available :     202.18 GB (202,175,160,320 Bytes)
Owners Enabled :     Yes     Used :     116.7 GB (116,702,466,048 Bytes)
Number of Folders :     241,519     Number of Files :     1,246,454
So I guess the reboot fixed my problem, df -h now shows 37% used, but the logical vomume group still shows only 16MB free. Anyways, things seem to be working now.

  • When I have resized and saved an image in Photoshop (CS, version 8.0 for Mac) using image size, why is it so large when I open it in preview or another image viewer? Has it actually saved according to the size I specified?

When I have resized and saved an image in Photoshop (CS, version 8.0 for Mac) using image size, why is it so large when I open it in preview or another image viewer? Has it actually saved according to the size I specified?

You want to view the image at the Print Size, which represents the size that shows in the Image>Resize Dialog.
    View>Print Size
Since screen resolution is almost always lower that the print resolution (somewhere between 72 and 96 usually), images will always look bigger on the screen, unless you view them at print size.
(apple Retina displays have a much higher resolution than normal screens, closer to the average print size resolution)

  • Larger image size and disk performance

    hey all,
Granted the majority of users here won't experience issues with larger image sizes, but i'm hoping a few may be able to shed some experience.
I work with a H3D, Mamiya RB (with various Leaf backs) and also drum scanned film. The issue is that often a single image size can be anything from 150mb upto 500mb, this is excluding any post production changes.
My current aperture library is on a FW800 disk, but disk i/o is crippling the box and program at the moment. I'm looking at the express slot and wondering who here is running a disk off that and what they feel it's like from a performance perspective.
An example is a recent location shoot which has a handful of images above 500mb each. Aperture takes around 10-15 mins to startup when this folder is selected (constantly processing the image every time it starts) and this leads to a totally unresponsive OS.
How are you handling large files with Aperture?
      Mac OS X (10.3.9)

On the Quad I process 250Mb+ TIF scans, not often, but often enough. External drives 7200rpm in a Sonnet 500P encl. attached to eSATA muliport card (Sonnet E2P). Performance is equal to internal so far as I can judge.
I recall the PCMCIA then PC Card bus speed was horrendously slow. Not sure what the Expresscard bus speed is, but it would be a crying shame to attach 300Gb/s burst capable drives (or RAID 5 driving 200Mb+ continuous) to a backend bus capable of a few Mb.
As Alan notes, a MBP may be OK for field work and tethered shooting, but for the image sizes you have, the preferred solution would be a Mac Pro.

  • Cs4 small jpeg file shows as large image size

Hi I am using Photoshop CS4 and I am trying to downsize images shot from my camera to less than 1 mb, by shifting the quality of the jpeg slider to the left in the save as menu.
Once I've done that when I open the newly reduced jpeg file again, and I go to the image Size, it shows as 25 Mb,
This started happening after I reinstalled the Cs4 Creative Suite to my computer.
What can I do, as when I tried to upload the images, ebay said they were too large, ie the file size of the image didnt get reduced at all.
Is it possible to fix this as I have reinstalled the software twice, and I still get the same problem,
    thanks

Is it possible to fix this as I have reinstalled the software twice, and I still get the same problem
I think the problem is not at all Photoshop’s.
When you degrade an image by reducing the jpg quality the number of pixels does not change so the uncompressed image (as indicated for the opened file in Photoshop’s Image Size dialog) naturally has the old size.
What are ebay’s image requirements? Do they mention some maximum width/height in pixels?

  • PSE 9: Image size is printing/saving larger than what I selected.

I was sent some pdf files for a banner for my kids' upcoming birthday party.  When I open one of the images it said that the image size was 7"x7" (it's a 7" circle) so I left it as is.  The only thing I changed on the sign was I changed the color of a number and two letters from pink to blue and that was it.  I then saved the image and gave it a new name.  When I look at it, upload it to the print shop or print it from my home computer the image is no longer 7" but is now 8" (the circle) and it larger than the rest of the banner pieces.  I have no idea how to get it to print/upload at the original 7" size.

I opened this image in PSE, and the diameter measures 6" on my equipment. Be that as it may, if you want to reduce the size try the following:
Go to Window and check rulers to make them visible
    Open picture file
Duplicate background layer. Shut off visibility of the background layer by clicking on its eye icon. Work on the background copy layer.
Access the move tool, and using one of the corner handlles drag towards the center to make image smaller. Commit.

  • Image size and format for IMovie

I am trying to make a short stop motion animation in IMovie. I have made my images in Adobe illustrator. I transfer the images into IMovie as JPEGS.the images, which are basically line drawings, look sharp and clean but as soon as you watch them as moving pictures they become broken up.
what am I doing wrong? does this have to do with my image size or format?

iDVD will try to downsize the image to work, but your TV often will overscan with the result being edges clipped off. The amount of clipping can vary, so the "TV Safe" settings will typically be the center 80-90% of the image. So, if you add a border that makes the image 10-15% larger, that should display the whole image. For example, if you had a 150 dpi image that was 640x480, you could put a 10% border on it so the final image was 704x528.

  • Unwanted image size change when moving a image it's Tab to another Tab in CC 2014

Hi, I opened a photo with a physical size 16"w 36"h. Since role paper comes in 24" width, I proceeded with expanding the canvas size to 24"w, height is unchanged at 36". Then I opened two photos in separate tabs in Photoshop, changed the image sizes to 8"w x 12"h. One Photo is from a 36megapixel camera and the other from a 16megapixel camera. Created two layers in the 24x36 image tab. Then I proceeded to copy each photo and paste in each of those layers (one image per layer in case you’re wondering). The problem is as follows, the copied images are larger when pasted into those layers, 10” wide and not 8”, 14”high and not 12”. Thinking maybe the canvas size had something to do with this, so I made that change. The result was the same, larger when pasted into those layers, 10” wide and not 8”, 14”high and not 12”. Could someone please advise what I’ve done wrong? Note, the ruler bars are visible. Thanks

When you bring one image into another, it is the pixel size that counts.  The physical size of the source image becomes irrelevant.

  • Image Size reduction and gain resolution... Help?

I have searched the forums and seen plenty of talk of Image Size and resolutions but havent stumbled upon what I need.
Hopefully someone will be nice enough to help me or to link me to help?
I have a large photo (3456x2304) but it is at 72ppi.
I am trying to use it as a very small image (200px or so) but I need it at 300ppi.
I keep going into Image Size and reducing its dimensions to the size I need and marking 300dpi.
Problem is when it resizes it gets horribly pixelated!!!
I cant figure out how to use the image size and/or crop tool in order to reduce the dimensions and not lose quality.
Best work around I have found is to reduce it to about 750px 72ppi and then in illustrator contract the image to the actual print size while gaining resolution...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a relationship between image size and ppi (resolution)  that can not be changed.  Here is an example from the web titled "understanding resolution".
Let's say you have an image that is 9 inches wide and 6 inches high with a resolution of 240 pixels/ per inch (8.9mb file).  If you change one of the values the other two will change (resample image turned off).  In this example if you changed the width to 6 inches the height would become 4 inches and the resolution would become 360 ppi.
So if you are taking a large image and reducing the size the ppi has to go up.  There are the same number of pixels in the picture, they are compressed into a smaller space.  The article says this is because a digital image has no absolute size or resolution.  All it has is a certain number of pixels in each dimension.
    Hope this helps.

  • Keep exported image size in HTML as shown in PDF

I have many inline formulas (imported from Word file via using mathtype) in PDF article made by ID. But when I export the articles as HTML, the images for formulas become much larger than shown in PDF version. How can i keep the exported images to the same size as they are shown the PDF file? I know I can edit the html file to specify image size, but that is the ideal work flow.
    Thank you.

    Hi Eric,
If i'm getting you right. you have the formulas placed as the images.
So, to keep the size fixed, In HTML export Options in image tab keep the image size as fixed.
    Snapshot to refer:
Now you have image of same size as it appears in InDesign.
