Smartforms in different languages

Hi guys,
In one form I want the matter to be printed in two different languages.
Eg. One window in English other window in Germany. Is it possible.

In Smartforms we have a option in the initial screen of smartforms
Go to Transaction SMARTFORMS
Enter your form name
then change
Click the Form Attributes
Go to the general attributes of form attributes
there you find language attributes
select the all languages Radio button for multiple languages.

Hi,
Check this setting in your smart form.
Global Settings --> Form Attributes --> General Attributes Tab.
Set radio button 'To All Languages'.
Now your smart form will be translated automatically to the logon language.
For example if you want to see your form in korean language, logout SAP once, then login with korean language 'KO'. (field after username and password)
If you need any specific text in other languages ... you have to create text id in SO10 using different logon languages.

Editing smartform in different language

I want to change default language of smart form
to chinese and edit its content. Please let me
know how can we do this.

HI Wish,
Copy the smart form into another form in the languages you want from the smartforms transaction.(go to smartforms->copy) from the menu.Probably you should be able to do this by loggin in that partiular logon language.

Smartforms in different language conflict

hi i created a form in original language English,
now i have to translate it in French
tha thing is when i run the program there is a difference in the window display in English and French,
in English two lines were displayed in the first page, while in French one line in first and second line is displayed
in the second page?
what might cause this errror?

To Maintain smartform in different languages

Hi ,
I'm using the same form layout for spanish and french languages .
The below steps been followed-
1.GO to transaction se63
2.Go to menu bar Translation - > ABAP Objects -> Other Long texts
3.Select FS Forms and styles - > SSF SAP Smart Form
4.Enter Object Name , Source language & Target language and Edit
but here when i give Translation as
Source Language                enUS    English US
Target language                   esES    Spanish ES
or
Source Language                enUS   English US
Target language                   frFR    French FR
and pressed edit button, it is giving me an error "Incorrect Codepage" due to which i'm not able to maintain the translated text.
But if i give translation as
Source Language                enUS    English US
Target language                  deDE    German DE
when pressed edit button, I'm able to enter to next screen to maintain the translated text.
I'm not able to figure out what is the problem, please help me out.

Probably the error is because other languages are not installed on the system.
Confirm with your basis team for the languages supported.

Need smartform output in different languages

Hi expert,
Can you please let me know how can I see the output of a smartform in different languages. I'm seeing the output of a sales order. I have three output types . ZZAC,ZZ00, ZZ01. The smarform is developed with the language attributes of Translate into all languages. Is it required to convert the forms in SE63? or there are other ways we can see it.
I need the output in all the languages like FR,EN,DE,IT,ES ,EN etc.

Try This... hope it will solve your problem....
To maintain the translations:
1. Go to transaction SE63 in R/3. Go to menu Translation->R/3 Enterprise->Other Long Texts.
2. Select the object type in the pop up. Smartform (SSF) object type is found under Forms and Styles(FS).
3. Enter the name of the Smart form and choose the source and target language(Let the Source Language be 'EN'). Now Click on 'EDIT'.
4. This would open a screen with the Smartform code in Source language on the top and an editor with the same code in the bottom. Find the text for which you need to maintain the translation and insert the translation in that place.
As usual after required texts are maintained Save and Activate.
To see the translated Smartform create an output type and assign the smartform and the driver program to this output type. In the transaction that sends output to this smartform, select the output type and select the language in which the smartform has to be displayed (translations have to be maintained in this language).This will give the smartform in the required language.

if the language parameter, be it a flag or sy-langu is passed to the Smartform, then u can have different variables for the same text carrying the same word in different languages. Based on the language parameter, u can use conditions in ur Smartform to display the correct word depending on the language. Hope u clear...

Smartforms : Probelm with Text in different languages.

Hi,
In development server in client 500 and language EN i create some new text coping existing text and change the text. These text are visible in language DE using transaction smartforms.
I try to check the form in development server client 510 language EN. the changes are present but when i try to see the change in client 510 languare DE the changes doesnot exists. The New text contains the same text as the original text which was copied. both having the same text.
Can somebody help here.

Even without translations if you do the changes in Smartforms in DE language it will reflect in other client, check the smartform is activated properly in DEV client.
For translation for your info:
SE63-> Menu TRanslations->R3 enterprice->otherlongtexts->smart forms.
Give the name of the smartform and source and destination language.
Once you do the translation you need to activate the Smartform.
The above navgations deffres woith SAP version.

Issues in Smartform when logging in two different languages

Hi Experts,
I have created a Smartform with orignal language as EN (English).
The Smartform is working fine when I login through EN language but when I login through EL (Greek)
I am facing problems.
The Smartform created in language EN does not get completely updated in EL.
Only the Form Interface,Global definitions are getting updated but the Text that I have created
does not get updated. The latest changes made in EN are not getting reflected when I login thorough EL.
I need to solve this problem at the earliest.
Please help me with this problem.

Faced the same problem. You just login in Greek (EL) and open the smartform in change mode. Now you will get a popup with 3 buttons in Greek, Please select the 2nd Button (i.e. Change Orig. Language). On clicking you will get a popup, there you have specify EL in the New original language and press continue button, again you will get 2/3 popup, just continue with that and now you just active it.. Thatu2019s all. Now will be able to see all your texts ...
Just do the same thing again in EN logon...Now your form will work in both EL and EN.

Smartform in different Langauges

Hi All,
Ive converted a SAP script to a smartform.
Earlier all column headers in the sap script were read from the driver program's
text elements.
These text elements were maintained in different languages.
So simply changing the logon langauage would automatically change the language of the column headers.
example text-001 Code (in EN)
text-001 Codigo (in ES)
These texts could be directly printed in the script.
But this is not possbile in the smartform as text-001 is not a recognized variable for the smartform
How can i maintain translations for this program? There are many languages.

Hi,
One way of doing it is as given below.
1)In the driver program, the function module which triggers the smart form has a control parameter.
We need to pass the target language to this structure.
2)Replicate all the paragraph formats and charecter formats in the smart style changing the font which supports the other languages.
3)Replicate all text elements (for each language) in the smartform and use condition based on language to determine which text element would be called.
while replicating the text elements, make use of the paragraph format created for that language.

SMARTFORM in Hebrew language

Anyone has experience in SMARTFORM in Hebrew language
I have a form in EN and for testing i have convert EN text into HE Lang (Tcode:SE63).
When i print this invoice into HE language , SAP Convert the invoice from Right to Left(all the English char) but it works in different way.
Example :
1.
EN : Schindler Nechushtan Elevators Ltd
HE: Ltd Schindler Nechushtan Elevators
2.
EN: Tel: 972 3 7214400 Fax: 972 3 7214405
HE : 7214405 Tel: 972 3 7214400 Fax: 972 3
Do anyone has idea "How it works" and how can i start defined Hebrew forms.

Do you think that for HE i should not translate from SE63 .
I have a form in EN (dev language EN) and from SE63 i convert EN to HE (with all EN).
Now from SE63 , I have a form in HE with English text .
some text is converted from Right to left with strange order
HE --yr.comravi.shankar.tiwary at ch.schindle :E-mail
EN will be : ravi.shankar.tiwary atch.schindler.com
Do you have any example for me how can i handle EN + HE in same form or how can i do it .
do you think that in HE i have to translate the form not through SE63 but to logon in HE and then translate.

Developing SAPScript in different languages

How can I develop SAPScripts in a different Language?

SE63 is mainly for smartforms.
Do as following
copy the script in required languages.
as far as data is concerned you dont need to worry abpout language.
only thing standard text.
so
go to so10 and give the text id(Ilet us say ST) and text name and language then say create . give the text of particular language.
If you givr EN then enter english transalation if you enetr DE then give german translation. and save it.
Now you can include these text in your script at the required placed or you can get this text using the read_text in your progarmm and place different texts in different fields . then you can use these varaiables in your script.
depend upon the logon language the respective transalationtext will be displayed .

Now how to print the invoices depending upon the logon language?
should i create invoices in smart forms or sapscript which one is better?
How to maintain the title and all the text of invoice in different languages?

Hi Sunny,
It is pretty simple.
Create a smartform(it is easy to design & fast to develop) in English Language.
Then goto transaction SE63 & maintain translations in the required language for your smartform texts.
Now, when you logon to the target language & print the invoice, it will print in logon language as per the translations you have maintained.

Can we get a output in different languages for the same configuration done in NACE. or it is language specific.
They have symbols which have values both in german and english. But when we run the transaction we are getting the output only in german language.We want the out put in english
language.

A Smartform can be maintained in many languages other than the language that it is created. Translations for the texts have to be maintained for this purpose.
To maintain the translations:
