Smartfrom vs Adobeform compatibility with MS Outlook 2007

Hi Friends,
Some of you might be aware that there is an issue with rendering (eg: displaying of table formats etc) of smartforms that are sent as an email in MS Outlook 2007.
I am facing this issue with display of a table grid in a smartform. When this smartform is sent as an email, the table grid is not displayed in MS Outlook 2007. Would using an Adobeform instead of Smartform help this issue ?
Any ideas/suggestions to overcome this problem?
Note : We raised an OSS message with SAP and we got the following reply:
"Sadly the problem isn't a SAP-specific problem but a general problem with Microsoft Outlook 2007. Instead of using Internet Explorer as HTML-Renderer Microsoft chose Word 2007 for various reasons. Because of this Outlook 2007 isn't downward-compatible to Outlook 2003 and can't show many of the formerly possible HTML-tags, especially everything within a "form"-Tag. This greatly narrows the possibilities to generate interactive mails."
Thanks-
Harmeet.

Hi:
Office 2007 works fine for me on W8.1 including Outlook.
Suggest you either try reinstalling it or find the outlook.exe shortcut in the Office programs folder on your C:\ programs folder and try starting it from there.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only person struggling with exact issue.  I've rebooted, upgraded, re-installed, pulled all my hair out as nothing works.
The biggest dissapointment with this thread is that nobody seems to have responded with a solution.
And yes I've managed to pull together enough intellegence to tick the box "sync to outlook" in iTunes - still nothing man.
Definately does not sync from phone to PC and is very hit and miss on PC to Phone.  In other words now running 2 seperate calendars - Not helpful Jan.

I have an Iphone 3G about 5 years old and tried to sync it for the first time with microsoft outlook 2007 on my laptop and completed the sync for my contacts.  After that, when I tried to used any downloaded apps, they will not load and start.  I powered off theiphone and restarted it -- no change.
When I touch the app, it fills the screen for a split second as if it wants to start, but nothing happens.  This is with all downloaded apps (free or paid for) only.  Everything else works fine.

  • Problems with Sync iPod Touch with MS Outlook 2007 Calendar

I've seen oodles of complaints in this area, I'm thinking Apple isn't ready for prime time with "Calendar"
I have a 10 year old palm pilot, that has been syncing a MS-outlook calendar for work, and one from home, and it allows me to have a PDA with an accurate calendar. The work computer is typically newer (Windows 7, Outlook 2007), the home computer is typically older (XP, Outlook 2001). But changes between the two have happened over the years, and the Palm faithfully keeps on Syncing the two. I only want one calendar to see all my life's activities (work meetings, kid's dentist appointments, wife's sewing groups, going out with friends, etc.)
Did I mention my palm is 10 years old? I purchased an iPod Touch last week, and I knew in advance it would force me to install iTunes (so both are new).
While the ipod touch has wonderful things on it (I've jumped 10 years in technology), I need a mobile PDA with an "accurate" calendar. Note the word Accurate.
After Syncing, I see some recurring entries on time, some recurring entries out by an hour, some recurring entries that were deleted on my computer, still there in the ipod.
I've read that sometimes when you do a change (just to the content) of a recurring item, it can change the time of the calendar entry
I've read that there are known bugs in deleted recurring entries, still appearing.
While my Palm Pilot was not perfect, it handled those situations.
From ideas I've read, I've reset my backup in iTunes, I've emptied my outlook calendar, synced it empty to ipod, imported my outlook calendar back, and synced it to ipod forcing it to "overwrite", but problem entries still remains.
I've read some people say they no longer use recurring entries. Not an option for me. If I have a client for a year that wants to meet every Tuesday at 2:00 pm, but oh, I can't July 13, he can't October 19, how am I supposed to remember on those future dates, that the PDA while saying there is a meeting, there really isn't one?
How do I go about with the entries out by an hour. Show up for every meeting one hour early, in case my PDA is wrong. Not acceptable.
I've played with both date settings on the ipod (one is the ipod date, one is the calendar date). And both settings on my computer (calendar time zone and computer time zone). My computer has a DST switch, ipod does not. I'm really begining to hate DST both on the impact it has for a human body to switch, but also all the crap it causes in a more and more and more technologically connected world. But I have to rely on a city selection choice, that ipod knows if it goes with DST or not??? I don't really trust Apple on that one, sorry, it seems they've not latched on to the concept of time correctly. So I don't trust their DST on or off decisions, that I can't tell if they've done or not. I can't find any GMT time zones, I can find UTC, but no number is beside it (I want to choose my offset number of the time zone I'm in).
While I like many kewl Apps the ipod touch has, the bottom line is, I need a PDA with a calendar. And I need a calendar that is accurate. And I don't want to enter 48 entries manaully in outlook 2007, when I can enter 52 with just one recurring effort, and delete 2 that don't work on a specific future day.
I don't want to arrive an hour early for a meeting, cause I can't trust if calendar entry is correct or out by an hour.
How can I tell if DST is on or off on the iPod (I do business monthly in an area that does not do DST). Playing around with time settings in my iPod to try to get most calendar items accurate with their time, but after a sync, it changes my time zone on the iPod to Phoenix. And I normally have it set to Calgary. I know Calgary is MST (with DST), but what is Phoenix? Why should I have to look up what time zone they are in, or do they do DST? Why does my ipod time zone change after a Sync!!!
I'm a small business owner, but if Apple is not ready for Prime time, someone please tell me. I have a 10 year old son who wants my new ipod toy, and I'm starting to feel it is only that, a toy, not yet ready for business.
Thank you for reading thus far

I can't understand this question, can you clarify?
By 'put a CD into itunes' did you mean you were viewing a CD in itunes or you had imported the tracks from the CD into your itunes library?
On what screen were you seeing 'no sync high lighted' and what does that mean?
Do you sync your entire library automatically with your ipod, do you need to select tracks to be automatically synced, or you manually manage your ipod's library?

  • CS6 compatibility with older macs (2007-2008), using Mavericks 10.9

I've heard about compatibility issues with older macs (2007-2008) when trying to run Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection CS6 with Mavericks 10.9. Right now I'm using CS6 on my existing mid-2007, with Mountain Lion, -works great, and I'm worried if I upgrade to Mavericks there may be problems (based on FAQs)
I do lots of video editing/rendering and am looking into getting another back-up computer to speed up editing time. I'm looking at purchasing an older Apple Mac Pro Tower : 2008 : Xeon 8-core 2.8ghz : 16gb ram : 1TB hd. Will this run Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection CS6 if I'm using Mavericks 10.9? If not, why?
Does the issue pertain to Mavericks with older macs, or is it CS6 with Mavericks, or what? Thanks!

    Mac 10.9.3 and CS6 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1480238 may help

  • Ipod Nano (3rd gen) not syncing with Microsoft Outlook 2007

I previously upgraded computers and now I can't sync my ipod with my outlook calendar. I upgraded to 2007. Any ideas? I'd greatly appreciate any thoughts or help. Thanks.

iTunes 11 won't even recognize my 1st and 3rd gen nanos. They've just rendered all the devices I love useless.
You can send feedback on the upgrade here:  http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html. I'm hoping enough legacy iPod users will speak up that they'll rethink and/or fix it.

  • How do I sync my Iphone-4 with MS Outlook 2007

I am running Windows XP Pro, SP 3, and woiuld like to sync my Iphone 4 with my outlook version. 2007, contacts. I woiuild like the option of ether overwriting from the phone tot he computer, or from the computer to the phone, or just exchange, and update from both (if that's possible).

You can do this through iTunes. If you connect your phone and click on it where it appears under Devices, then on the screen that appears, click on the Info tab. In here you have the option to Sync Contacts with a drop-down box to choose what program you want to sync with.
The first time you do it, it should give you the option of which source you want to overwrite or to merge. After that, by default it will overwrite the Outlook contacts with the iPhone contacts unless you scroll to the bottom of the Info page to the Advanced section and check Contacts to overwrite the phone.

  • HELP: TE2 SystemMgr.c Line:4038 error - can't synchro with new Outlook 2007

Hello.  I just had Outlook 2007 installed (under XP pro) at my office, along with a new computer arriving...  I tried to reinstall my palm software and do a synchro...  and I get this error message:
    SystemMgr.c, line:4038.  Error launching application.
I tried resetting the handheld, I tried reinstalling the software, I tried downloading the Outlook 2007 soft from PALM...  nothing changes this and I can't synchronise.
HELP!  Anyone know what to do???
    Post relates to: Tungsten E2

I installed Office 2007 on my computer at work running XP Pro.  Since then I have not been able to sync my TE2 using the USB.  I have downloaded the Outlook 2007 conduit, unzipped it and installed it - still no luck - tried again and still no luck. (Does it matter where in the program files the Outlook 2007 conduit is installed?)  I have tried a soft reset at least 3 times.  When I press the hotsync button, the device reads:  "Connecting with the desktop using cradle/cable."  There is no message on the desktop.  There is no movement on the device.  After a short time, this message appears on the device: "HotSync problems -- The connection between your device and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again.  My last successful hotsync was 7/17/08 -- the day before I installed Office 2007.  What should I try next?

  • Multiple issues with iCloud & Outlook 2007

    Hi all,
I have a Windows 7 laptop with Outlook 2007 connected to Exchange. I've used the iCloud configuration panel (version 2.1.1) to set up synchronization of mail, contacts, calendars and tasks with Outlook. I can see the content of each iCloud component in Outlook, however:
Outlook freezes completely when switching to the calendars. I have two personal calendars in iCloud and one shared calendar, and when I switch to the calendar view in Outlook it takes an average of 9 minutes and 45 seconds before Outlook is responsive again. And it's not just the first time after I've set up the sync. It's also not just every time Outlook is started. It's E-VE-RY time I switch to the calendar view! This behavior only occurs for the calendar, not for mail, contacts and tasks.
I can add items such as contacts or appointments in the appropriate iCloud section in Outlook, but then it just sits there. It's not uploaded to iCloud. Not even when you press Refresh iCloud.
Does anyone know how to solve this? I could live with the second issue, but the first issue is infuriatingly unacceptable...
    Kind regards,
    Maurits
