SMS and Contacts transfer to iponhe

Hi Guys!
I have q10 blackberry lots of contact and message. I already did the backup using blackberry link. how can I extract or transfer my sms and contacts to my ipone?

Hi dhomchie
I'm not sure regarding transfer sms. Perhaps there's 3rd party sms app in BB World for that. But you can transfer Contacts, Calendar items, Pictures, Videos, Files and documents to Iphone using 'Device Switch'. BlackBerry Link is to transfer between BlackBerry devices only.
On your Q10, tap Search and type Device Switch in the field. For more information, visit blackberry.com/deviceswitch
Good luck.

Google "PhoneView" or "iPhone Explorer" but you should be syncing your contacts with your Mac's Address Book anyway via iTunes or MobileMe. That's the way it is designed to be used.

  • How can i view my iphone contents on PC. How can i view my backup data in itunes. How can i see my SMS and contact on PC

    Hi,
Can anybody help me out on the follwoing questions
how can i view my iphone contents on PC. How can i view my backup data in itunes. How can i see my SMS and contact on PC

The data isn't actually stored in iTunes.  iTunes is like a card catalog that allows you to access information from the various places that it's stored on the computer.  SMS and contact info will be viewable in whatever program you sync contact information.  The backup actually keeps the files, but doesn't make them viewable, I'm pretty sure.  You can only see the info you've actually synced.

  • If you lose your phone, will your unread messages, missed calls and contacts transfer

I don't know why it's such a hard question to find the answer to, but I can't figure it out. If you've lost your phone, when you get your number put on a new phone, will the:
    Contacts transfer?
Will you have your un-read messages?
Will you see your missed calls?
    Will you have your voicemails?
Please, someone help me out here

Will you have your un-read messages? As long as they had not been delivered to your phone yet(for texts). If they had been delivered to your phone but you just hadn't read them, then no. For emails, as long as they have not been deleted from the server.
Will you see your missed calls? Don't really think so.
Will you have your voicemails? Depends on what kind of phone you had and will have. For example an iPhone utilizes a different voicemail system than any other phone(of course it does, its an Apple product) and voicemails will not transfer to/from an iPhone to any other type of device. Any other phone, they should.
Please, someone help me out here
Edit: Verizon only tries to deliver text messages for 5 days. If you have not had a phone active on your line for more than that length of time, you will start to lose some of your "un-read" messages.

  • Nokia 6500: export SMS and Contacts tu HTC S743

    Hello everybody.
I need to migrate to HTC S743 and I'd like to know how to somehow export Contacts and SMS (both received and sent ones) from my Nokia 6500.
    Any clues will be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    F.

    @FlavioB
Sorry my bad here, for Contacts have you used the Nokia Suite to sync. contacts?  Do you use Outlook on your PC?  If so, then it will sync your contacts to your PC then you can use WMDC (if using Vista or Win7) or Activesync(if using XP) to sync your contacts to your device.
Sure that there must be an easier way to transfer your SMS than this:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=499230

Please, Do you know any free/GNU solution?
I couldn't extract/export all data that I need using Noki due to the free edition limitations =/
Does Nokia Ovi Suite support reading and export user data from its backup file?

It is not the case, I am planning to buy an Android phone

  • Help I recover sms and contacts after updating sof...

hi, after I have adjourned the software of my n70, I don't understand the why of the loss of my smses and my contacts in index book. I don't succeed them more to find. do you know how to tell me if they are saved in some briefcase or me I have definitely lost them? thanks

I´m not sure what "adjourned" means, but if it has got something to do with software update, I regret to have to tell you that your contacts and sms are gone for good, if you have not followed the advice before updating, to save all data using the Nokia Content Copier within PC Suite...

  • 3120, SMS and Contacts

Have just been given a 3120 by my son. I'll use it primarily for SMS but find that when I go to send an SMS the only contact search is on NUMBERS - or have I missed something? I know WHO I want to send to but have not the slightest idea of their number - and don't want to know! Is there really no way to search on contact NAMES?

    Thanks for the reply...
Yes, I have a set of basic names/numbers stored in the phone memory and am only using the phone memory.
When I select Options > Send then the Phone Number search window appears with no other obvious options available. I've now just noticed that if I click the Up or Down Scroll keys a Contacts list appears. Should this now allow me to choose a Contact by name?

  • Sluggish SMS and Contacts

Typing SMS messages in an existing SMS thread is rather sluggish. I can reboot the phone and it will work ok for a while, the usual snappy keyboard will return. But then it seems when a new SMS thread is started, it takes a little longer to load and the typing is sluggish once again. Not a fun way to type messages.
I am using the latest 2.0.1 firmware.
Also Contacts seems slow to load and is sluggish to respond to scrolling/navigation.

I see the same issue on my 2.0.1 iPhone 3G 16GB. Sometimes I can even get SMS to really get messed up and act like it is showing the keyboard but not have a keyboard on screen. In otherwords, half of the screen is missing where the keyboard would be, but no keyboard is present. Hard reset is the only way to fix it.

  • Updating from 3GS to 4S - ITunes not backing up SMS and Contacts

I'm trying to restore from 3gs to new 4S.  I've backed up through ITunes but when I restore from the backup onto the 4S, it transfers everything from my old phone apart from My Contacts, Call History and SMS.  I've tried the restore three times and I've now used a third party app to check the back up from my 3GS and it's saying that there are no contacts, call history or SMS.  I've made sure that the boxes are checked for Contacts in Itunes (I don't know where (or If) there are any specific options for SMS or Call history) but still no luck.  All the files are still showing on my 3GS so I know they are there.  Any help on what's wrong would be very gratefully received!

Bumppp. Anyone know of a way to restore SMS independently after device wipe?

  • TS2755 sms and contacts

i have deleted contacts from my phone but when i go to send a sms their number is still in my contact list how do i delete these numbers completely??

    chrismca83 wrote:

Only by restoring your phone as a new device, followed by syncing your iTunes content back to the phone. There is no supported way to edit this cache on any iOS device. Either that, or you live with it.
You cannot restore from backup, or this will merely restore the cache.
