Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 2004s Full Java Edition Download

Hi All,
i try to download the Sneak Preview with DAP.
After terminating file 1 download, the file size is only ca. 380 MB instead of 1.9 GB. I can't download the full file. did any body now the problem?

I have installed DAP and tried downloading sneak preview 2004s Java edition. But it is still downloading in normal window , its not using DAP to download. I tried taking the url manually and try downloading it , but still it doesn't work. Could someone guide me on how to use DAP to download sneak preview coz it does not download properly by normal means.

I am trying to install Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 2004 and 7.0 - Full Java Edition with SAP NetWeaver Portal onto my machine.

I am not sure if this helps, but SAP_J2E_LocalAdmin exists in my system as a group not user.

Dear all
i tried to install "Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 2004s SAP Web Application Server 7.00 on MaxDB" on Windows XP SP2 , korean edition.
at the beginning it was okay.
however on the "importing ABAP" stage, it shows the error.
I linked the screenshot and attached "test_MIGKEY.log".
According to "Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 2004s System Requirements",
Operating System:
Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 1) or Windows Server 2003
is this because of " XP SP 2"?
( I could manage it on Windows Server 2003 korean standard edition)
Do i need to activate (or run ) MaxDB manually ?

Trouble with installation Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 2004s

the installation of the Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 2004s fails at step 3 with the following error:

I've checked following points:
- OS: Windows XP Professional
- Loopback adapter is installed and working
- hosts file contains correct IP-address
- the groups SAP_NSP_LocalAdmin and SAP_NSP_GlobalAdmin were created in step 3
- I can create the accounts nspadm and SAPServiceNSP by hand (with the same user!) and the installation continues but I ran into further errors in step 4.
Who can help?

What I did : create manually the user nspadm and NSPServiceAdm under Windows user.
pb was, as it is a company computer, we also have policies about what to put in passwords (capital letter, special caracters etc ...)
Now I'll see until which step I can go.

SP16 Preview: MaxDB Installation fails (Phase 6)
U will have to replace it with MAX DB ver7.5 .

Problem installing SAP NetWeaver 04 - Full Java Edition SP15 - Step 22

Hi SDN Members,
I try to install the SAP NetWeaver 04 - Full Java Edition SP15 on my System (AMD Athlon X2 3800+ Dual Core with 1 GByte RAM). I've tried it several times but the Installation does not continue after Step 22 - Load Java Database Content. In the Logfile C:\Programme\sapinst_instdir\NW04SR1\WEBAS_COPY\ONE_HOST\jload.log I see this:

I got installed successfully on Windows2003 Server without any issues.
But just was looking into the log file, i found these errors.Can anybody tell me why these are occured and these can be stop working with portals at any stage??

Installation Problem - SAP Netweaver 2004s Full ABAP Edition Trail

Hi I got a problem while installing SAP Netweaver 2004s Full Edition Trail
I am using the following installation guide as reference

I stopped the fllowing NSP services (SAPDB: .M760018, SAPDB: .M760018 (omststknl.exe), SAPDB: .M760018 (quick), SAPDB: .M760018 (slow), SAPDB: NSP, SAPDB: NSP (omststknl.exe), SAPDB: NSP (quick), SAPDB: NSP (slow), SAPNSP_00, SAPOsCol), all these services are from D:\usr directory, left the XServer (Automatic). I also removed the nspadm and SAPServiceNSP users from all the locations before re-installing, also removed C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir folder, removed registries (Registry Editor -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> SAP) like NSP, SAP DBtech, also from Registry Editor -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> SAP) like SAP DBtech. Also the folders like sapdb, usr etc from the D:\, but no luck. Should there be any other registries or anything else to be removed before re-installing?
Also here are some more details from XCMDOUT file.

Reinstalling Sneak Preview SAP Netweaver 2004s for ABAP

I had an error, installing the sneak preview.
So I want to reinstall it, so when I was in the uninstall.
I couldn´t erase the MAXdb, when I wanna drop the NSP db the program ask me user name and password.
I put in user name: superdba and password that I have set it before (in the installation)
I he tell me that is incorrect ¬¬ Im sure that the pass is okey, so what I wanna know is which is the name that SAP use it to name the admin of the DB, because superdba is not working.
and if the name is really superdba, there is a way of unistalling the MaxDB ???

If it still would not work, let me know. We should clear those manually.

Is the error in the phase "Change default passwords"?
Have you tried restarting the SAPInst? If the restart
doesn't help, please try to get a newer version of SAPInst
and continue. Note 929929 might help.

Webdynpro doesn't start after installation of Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver

I have just installed the Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 2004. In the sap console I see that all the processes have successfully started.
However when I try to open the WebDynpro content administrator via browser at http://<host>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcwdtools/Explorer
I get the following error:
An error has occurred:
"Failed to process the request."
Error stacktrace:

ABAP or JAVA edition of the sneak preview sap netweaver ??

Hi we want to install a local enviroment to test sap netweaver, in particular, sap portals.
We have seen that there are two edition and I have some questions:
1.-What's the diference between the ABAP and JAVA edition of the sneak preview sap netweaver? The abap does not include the portals, true?
2.-is possible to install both, ABAP and JAVA edition of the sneak preview sap netweaver?
3.-Are there installation guides and how-to of the sneak preview sap netweaver?

1) The ABAP side is more of the SAP basis platform which R/3 runs on top of. You have ABAP programs, Data Dictionary, Function modules, etc. Portals does NOT run on this side. If you are just looking for portals, then just install the java stack.
2) Yes it is possible.

Install License Key for SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP trial Edition.

Hello.
I have two installations of the SAP NetWeaver 2004s ABAP trial Edition (on desktop and laptop). After the expiration of the original 30 days license; now I need to install the extended License (90 days). I am using SLICESE transaction from SAP* user account to install the new license. I have got the "License Key" from SAP website. However, the installation of the new License Key fails to complete successfully (it fails to add the new license key) and ends with an error prompt. This problem is happening on both systems! Has anyone experienced such problem? What did you do to fix it?
Note: no errors in typing in the new Key, as I used the copy and paste!

Thanks again for your help. I found out that if you try to install the new license key (first time) with any error (such as wrong expiration date), it will fail as "invalid key", naturally. However, the subsequent attempts also continues to fail despite the fact that the correction are made. the only way I could fix this was to stop and restart the SAP Application server and make sure that the first attempt has typos. It seems to me that once an error flag is set, it is not removed unless the server is restarted. well, the problem is fixed now and thank you for your help.
