SOA In a Day at India's Most Influential Business Technology Conference

Business Technology Summit 2010 – India's First, Largest and Single-most Inspirational Technology Show
Bangalore, July 12, 2010: Businesses are organizing themselves with Service-oriented architecture (SOA). SOA moved from exploration and experimentation to pilots and deployment, with businesses understanding that SOA adoption betters data integration, enables legacy application integration, improves flexibility of application development, integrates dissimilar, departmental applications and reduces costs. SOA is addressed in a full-day conference at the 2010 edition of Business Technology Summit. The summit will be held 12 November at the NIMHANS Convention Centre in Bangalore.
Centered on the theme Shaping Your Enterprise for New Business Realities, the third edition of India's annual summit for business technologies features two important and relevant tracks – SOA (12 Nov) and Cloud Computing (11 Nov) – to empower you with the necessary know-how for your applications and your company to prosper in this climate, now and into the future. The following tracks are covered in the SOA conference on 12 November:
•    BPM in Practice: in this track, learn how to harness BPM as an essential part of an overall strategy that touches both the IT function and the operational imperative. You will learn about Process Discovery and Modelling, Process Execution, Process Monitoring and Optimisation, among others.
•    SOA Case Studies: you will learn from the wisdom, experience and passion of expert SOA practitioners who have been there and done it all too well. If you believe there is no alternative for actual experience, this is the track for you.
•    SOA Integration: this track discusses how SOA and related technologies - middleware, application integration, BPM, BAM, governance technology, application platforms, application development tools, data integration, MDM, multienterprise B2B tools and services, Web 2.0, cloud and others - can help your organization efficiently support the challenges and leverage the opportunities ahead.
•    SOA Deployment & Management: successful SOA Deployment Requires Effective SOA Management. In this track you will learn about balancing flexibility and control within an SOA, managing SOA application service levels, performance and availability, among others. You will also learn how combining SOA governance with time tested techniques of managing applications enables you to achieve the increased flexibility and decreased cost that you need from your SOA initiative.

  • Days Sales Outstanding DSO for a Business Partner

    Hi ,
Any idea how to use the Method of Least Squares (MLS), to compute Days Sales Outstanding DSO for a Business Partner?  suggestions?

    Hi,
In  the BP go to Sales Area Data and select sales tab. In that select the sales Org,D.Channel, division for which you want to maintain and enter all the detail in all the tabs (shipping,Sales,Billing etc) and save the BP.
    Regards

  • DMX Query, the most influential variable

    Yours sincerely.
I'm doing work of data mining using decision trees, and I have the expected result: Predicted probability of dropping out, however I would like the result, by DMX query, throw me the most influential variable in the above probability .
For example if Marco, has a 90% chance of dropping out, tell me what was the most influential variable for this probability, which can be Sex, Age, City, etc..
I have in my data mining model, named Tree, variables such as sex, age, marital status, district, etc., and my view of the data, Vista_Datos, fields such as customer name, phone, email, Prov.; so my query resulted DMX follows.
    Select
       (T. [CustomerName]) as [Customer]
      (T. [date]) as [Date of Appointment]
      t. [Department],
      t. [Province]
      t. [District]
      (T. [address]) as [Address],
      (T. [telephone]) as [Phone Fixed]
      (T. [Cell_Phone]) as [Cell Phone]
      (T. [email]) as [E],
PredictProbability ([Tree]. [Desertion], 0) * 100 as [Probability of Defection]
    From
      [Tree]
    PREDICTION JOIN
      OPENQUERY ([Source Mining]
        'SELECT
          [CustomerName]
          [Date],
          [Department],
          [Province]
          [District]
          [Street address]
          [telephone]
          [Cell_Phone]
          [Email]
        FROM
          [Dbo]. [Vista_Datos]
        ') AS t
    ON
[Tree]. [Department] = t. [Department] AND
[Tree]. [Province] = t. [Province] AND
[Tree]. [District] = t. [District] AND
    where (PredictProbability ([Tree]. [Desertion], 0) * 100)> 50
I need to modify the query to get the most influential variable in the prediction result.
I hope I have been clear so they can help me.
    Thank you for your attention.

    select * from [Model_Name].content
returns you all the information about the model (all the nodes in the tree).
    select NODE_UNIQUE_NAME from [Model_Name].content where NODE_TYPE=2
returns NODE_UNIQUE_NAME of the root node. If you want to find all children of the root node (all the first splits) you can execute query like
    select * from [Model_Name].content where [PARENT_UNIQUE_NAME]='000000004'
where '000000004' is NODE_UNIQUE_NAME of the root node.

No, that has never been the case. Apple has always by official policy declared that dents constituted user-caused damage, as they most certainly are, and therefore voided the warranty.
In any case, you've been given the facts. The damage to your iPhone has voided the warranty. So you can either pay for a replacement, or you can sell your damaged iPhone for whatever price you can get for it and go buy something else. There's nothing else anyone here can tell you.

  • Does anyone know of an ap that will auto call forward all voice calls from my iphone4 to a different number (office) at set times each day? IE - i want my business iphone to automatically call forward at 0830am weekdays and cancel the call forward at 6pm

I am trying to find an app that will automatically forward all voice calls at preset times each day
    IE - at 083am weekdays
and automatically cancel the call forward at 6pm weekdays
At the moment i am doing it manually with alarms set to remind me
Seems a pretty basic "want" but - i cant find anything
And APPLE - make it easier to find APPS in the APP store - wy not have a search feature that you can type in what you are looking for??
    Thanks!!

There are no apps to do what you want, that's why you can't find any. No app would have access to the necessary API's to do this, thus only Apple could implement such. You can suggest such to Apple here:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
Another suggestion is to look at Google Voice. I don't know if it offers these specific features or not, but it is highly customizable.

  • Mpeg from India giving me the business...

    Howdy all,
I have received some files from a doctor in India, he sent me some mpeg video's to edit. Of coarse, FCP wouldn't import them, and gave me a file error. So I exported them out of Quicktime player to ProRes, but that won't take either. The files are MPEG2 muxed with no audio. So, I demuxed them to m2v's, but mpeg streamclip/Quicktime won't recognize that file. Does anyone have a suggestion? or a work flow? I'm scratching my head.
    best,

Unfortunately, MPEG won't recognize it. "File open error: can't find video or audio". Odd enough, I can open in in quicktime to view it and export it, but haven't been able to bring it into FCP. I exported to ProRes, which FCP wouldn't recognize. Then I took the ProRes into MPEG streamclip and "export to DV" and now FCP is accepting that file.
Now, I just exported to DV stream out of Quicktime player and FCP is accepting it.
    Why?
Is this going to cause problems? I'm now working with .dv files, which I've never done. Is there a better way? Elucidate me?

An example of what the Query code would look like would be incredibly helpful!

  • HT5824 just bought a  iphone4s, moved the sim card out of my old iphone4 to the new phone. Everthing was fine for 2 days. Now a lot of contacts got dumped/ 2 pages in notes, and most of my appointments, past and future. I back up to the cloud about 2/3 x

bought an iphone4s. moved the sim card from my iphone4. did a sync on my computer, and all of my apps showed up. Calendar good, notes all there....Two days later, I lost most of my contacts, 75% of my appointments, events are gone, both past and future.. Two pages of notes are gone. Really important info. I have synced, synced again, backed up to the cloud, to my computer, shut it down, etc. Nothing has worked! Any ideas?

    Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.
