(SOAP sender) --- XI ---- R/3 (RFC receiver) this sync scenario

Hi Experts,
Webservice(SOAP sender) < - > XI <--> R/3 (RFC receiver) this sync scenario tested with Infopath successfully.
I have given partner number,student object id are the two input fields(request) and i am getting student number as response. This scenario is working when i use MS infopath.
I have generated WSDL file embedded with below URL
http://xxxx.yyytec.passh.ed:7271/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:Webservice_Sender_BS:GET_NUMBERS_Sender_CC&version=3.0;amp;Sender.Service=Webservice_Sender_BS;amp;Interface=urn%Apache
Sender business system: Webservice_Sender_BS
Sender CC: GET_NUMBERS_Sender_CC
Msg Interface: STU_GET_NUMBERS_Synch_MI
now we want to test from third party website, what are the things to be provided to the website developer to test the scenario.
the way i generated URL, is it correct?
if i provide above URL and generated WSDL in XI , is it enough for web developer to enter the input fields to RFC(r/3) via XI as webservice request and getting back response from RFC(r/3) to webservice via XI.
can you please advice if any body worked on this kind of scenario.
Thanks
Dhanush.

For the developer you have to provide WSDL file so that they know the input/output fields and write the code.
URL is correct.
Other informatino they required is Username and password of you PI system.

  • RFC to JDBC Sync Scenario and get JDBC response

    Hi All,
    We need to create RFC to JDBC synchronous interface with update_insert action.
    And we need to get the number of records updated or inserted as response and map the response and send it back to ECC as RFC response mesg.
    I have gone through the help document on JDBC and it says :
    The response document has the following format; one of the two values is always 0 because either an UPDATE or an INSERT action is always executed:
    <update_count>count</update_count>
    <insert_count>count</insert_count>
    Now following is the question: Is this this the standard feature? Because in our case Database side they will not be sending any response back.
    So with the synchronous receiver JDBC channel would we get this update and insert count as response  by default?.
    Please help with replies.
    Thanks,
    Jane

    Hi Jane
    No setting needs to be done by the Database team, it is a standard feature.
    Whenever you insert or update records in DB using the JDBC Adapter, you will get the response with the count.
    If insertion fails due to some reason in JDBC Adapter, then there will be no response.

  • Problem with Soap Sender CC

    Hi,
    SOAP - Proxy.
    I have 3 seperate Scenarios in PI 7.0 in different Name space, with different Message interface names, under same SWC.
    I imported them to PI 7.1 and used the same format that help says... with Service:cc and gave it to the calling service.
    During my import, I noticed that the Message Interface and Name space were knocked off from the SOAP Sender adapter in PI 7.1. The scenarios are configured and working currently.
    I have 3 CC in this format. In Soap sender CC, we will specify NS and Interface name. Thus I had to use 3 CC.
    As per SAP Note 856597, the sender CC format should be...
    http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?senderParty=FP&senderService=FS&interface=IF&receiverParty=TP&receiverService=TS&interfaceNamespace=IFNamespace
    Now, in 7.10 we dont need to specify NS and Message Interface in soap sender CC. Hence, I created 3 sender URL for each scenario to call to PI 7.10 ( based on the interface / NS names ) and I have created 1 CC only instead of 3. This I thought would work because the sender CC is not tied with NS or MI any more, which are included in URL, and thus I have 3 different calling URLs.
    Now, when I do this and activate, it is always calling only one service all the time.
    Regards,
    Venkat.

    I have used the other channels in the same format. only NS and MI name changed. Sender and receiver are same.
    We do specify outbound Interface and its NS in sender Soap CC prior to 7.1.
    Morever, I am following the format as per the note I specified above.
    It is able to call PI 7.1 succesfully but failing to call proper IM and MM.
    No error mesage but only one scenario is called all the time.
    Its like this...
    prior to 7.1, we will have MI and NS info on the sender Soap sender CC. Hence we just mention the name of the CC in the target URL along with service. so it picks up the NS and MI from CC.
    in 7.1, since we dont specify NS and MI in sender Soap CC, we have to notify the sender side MI and NS and we do that in sender side URL( to be given to the calling system ).
    Now as per my understanding, since no NS or MI dependant info is speicfied in CC, I thought we can use one single CC instead of 3.
    See my thought looks reasonable ...
    but wondering why it isnt working.
    Regards,
    Venkat.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi
    Its not compulsory but its good to wrap it as Z object.
    Well if you are facing problem with SOAP data. Then try to do one thing. Check with the data you received from SOAP message. If this works
    Then try to check in mapping is it passing the data correctly or not. With this check with the user authorization PIAPPLUSER. if its having less authorizations to execute this BAPI in ECC

  • Help Need on SOAP (Sender) to RFC Scenario(Synchronous Communication)

    Hi All
    I have a requirement of <b>SOAP(Sender) to RFC</b> scenario(Syncronous Communication).  The scenaio goes like this........
    I have a web service through which I have to create a SAP Notification in SAP system and the Notification ID created and other details have to be returned back to the webservice from the BAPI.  I have identified the relevant BAPI for the scenario.
    I have a wsdl file which I have uploaded it.  What are the next steps to be done?
    Please let me know what all(e.g., Data types, Message Types, Message Interface)  I have to create in Integration Repository and what all configurations I have to make in Integraion Directory.
    FYI, I have a gone through a list of Blogs, but didn't get enough info.
    Please help me out in providing your valuable answers.
    Thanks,
    Vijay
    P.S. Rewards points are sure .....

    Hi Vijay,
       If at all you have uploded wsdl file for the webservice you no need to create data types for the same even for the same as RFC also.
         Create message mapping and drag the wsdl file which you have imported as External Definiations and there you will be having request and response parameters..Do the mapping accordingly(according to your requirement).
    Mapping like:
        Wsdl(Request)---->RFC (Input parametrs)
        RFC (out parameters)------>wsdl(Response)
    Create message interface with Synchronous for outbound
        No need of DT,MT if at all if you import the wsdl file.
       Hope i am clear.
      Please let me know if you have any queries..!
      Thanks and Regards,
      Chandu.

  • SOAP Sender to RFC Scenario WSDL File

    Hi,
    I am working on SOAP -> PI -> RFC Scenario. I generated WSDL from sender agreement and gave to the client that can consumed by the third party system. But client is not ready to consume the WSDL. He provided WSDL and asking me to use that. Could you please suggest whether WSDL given by the client can be used in SOAP -> PI -> RFC Scenario. If it is possible, could you please provide steps how it can be done?
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Cdr.

    Thank you Hareesh & Divya,
    When we generate WSDL from PI, it gives soap action and soap address location based on the interface we use for SOAP -> PI -> RFC.
    When we import WSDL given by the client as external definition, we get messages(Structures). But where do we pass the soap action or address location. I do not see any option in the soap sender communication channel. I am not visualize the link.
    Can somebody share their knowledge if they have done in this way.
    Thank you.

  • SSL / X.509 In SOAP Sender/Receiver Adapter

    Hi Friends,
    We have few third party Java based systems which need to integrate with SAP PI7.1
    For this we are using
    SOAP Sender from Third PartyTo PI
    SOAP Receiver From Pi To Third Party Systems
    The Customer Wants to implement SSL.X>509 certificates for encryption and decryption. as one of the option.
    we are  Facing few issues like.
       I am assuming each of the source system webservice calls will have
    to use a username/password to authenticate with the PI system
    a.       Will this use 'basic authentication', ie., credentials sent over as
    part of the HTTP header field ?
       i.
    Assuming we use SSL for transport level security - this is still not secure as the credentials are not encrypted
    ii.      Is  there a way to send in encrypted credentials and for the PI layer to decrypt the same, validate and process the request ?
    b.      Should we consider using a single sign-on mechanism ?
    c         Should we consider using X.509 digital certificates ?
          i.      This would require that the X.509 certs are maintained in the Source & PI webserver Java key stores
    d.      Should we also consider digitally signing the payload ?
         i.      This  requires using an appropriate hashing algorithm such as SHA-1 or MD5
    SOAP Sender /receievr Adapter has few properties not specific to them.How to Acheive this.
    Regards
    Chandra Dasari

    Hi Chandra,
    You may try to implement this using the AXIS framework of the SOAP adapter. This provides functionality for handling of X.509 encryption and decryption.
    You can generate/get the digital certificate and use it for both transport level as well as message level security. You would not require any additional encoding apart from this.
    Coming to your queries:
    Q - I am assuming each of the source system web service calls will have to use a username/password to authenticate with the PI system
    A - If you are using a certificate, then they can call XI using this certificate. You can share your public certificate with each of the parties.
    Q. Will this use 'basic authentication', ie., credentials sent over as part of the HTTP header field?
    A - Depends...if you are using basic authentication, then it will not be via X.509. It will be the normal process. These two are two different things.
    Q. Assuming we use SSL for transport level security - this is still not secure as the credentials are not encrypted
    A - This problem is resolved if you are using digital certificates.
    Q. Is there a way to send in encrypted credentials and for the PI layer to decrypt the same, validate and process the request?
    A - Yes. It is possible. But then you will have to implement encryption decryption logic at both the ends separately if you are not using certificates.
    Q. Should we consider using a single sign-on mechanism?
    A - Is your third party part of your landscape? if not then you might want to check and confirm this approach with your security adviser.
    Q Should we consider using X.509 digital certificates?
    A - Yes...This would resolve most of your problems.
    Q. This would require that the X.509 certs are maintained in the Source & PI web server Java key stores
    A - Yes.
    Q. Should we also consider digitally signing the payload?
    A - If you require message level encryption along with transport layer.
    Q. This requires using an appropriate hashing algorithm such as SHA-1 or MD5. SOAP Sender /receiver Adapter has few properties not specific to them.How to achieve this.
    A - You can provide this option while generating the certificate itself.
    Please let me know if this helps.
    Cheers,
    Sarath.

  • Problem between SOAP Sender and JDBC Receiver

    Hi,
    I have a asynchronous scenary between SOAP Sender and JDBC Receiver.
    The idea is sending an ID for updating one register.
    Table structure is:
    TABLE AS_PERSONA
        (P_RUT                         VARCHAR2(10) NOT NULL,
        P_NOMBRE                       VARCHAR2(50),
        P_APELLIDO                     VARCHAR2(50))
    The ID is the P_RUT field.
    The structure of message that I send by SOAP, is the following:
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
         <SOAP-ENV:Body>
              <m:MT_CONS_SOAP xmlns:m="urn:prueba:voliva">
                   <CONSULTA>
                        <P_RUT>15445</P_RUT>
                   </CONSULTA>
              </m:MT_CONS_SOAP>
         </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    The JDBC receiver structure is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:MT_CONS_PERSONA xmlns:ns0="urn:prueba:voliva">
         <Statement>
              <AS_PERSONA action="UPDATE">
                   <table>AS_PERSONA</table>
                   <access>
                        <P_NOMBRE>DELETE_BY_XI</P_NOMBRE>
                        <P_APELLIDO>DELETE_BY_XI</P_APELLIDO>
                   </access>
                   <key>
                        <P_RUT>15445</P_RUT>
                   </key>
              </AS_PERSONA>
         </Statement>
    </ns0:MT_CONS_PERSONA>
    When I do a call to SOAP by XMLspy, it returns a message without data, that means succesfull reply.
    I see message monitor and see the succesfull flag. But in the database it doesn't update the register.
    This scenario was proved using the File Sender and same JDBC Receiver, then result was succesfull.
    I proved SOAP Sender with a File Receiver, storing information from SOAP sender in an archive, and works well.
    Then I imagine that exist some problem between SOAP and JDBC. what could be happening ?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Looks like the problem is with the JDBC receiver...try updating the value in the table by using a File-JDBC scenario..does it work..check the adapter monitor in RWB..

    Any docs/links for it.

    Hi,
    I have CRM (r/3) and DM (r/3)system.
    Data from differnent tables of CRM system needs to go to
    DM system different tables , data will be saved there and then return response back to CRM system.
    For this I have given one RFC for CRM system
    For this I have given one RFC for DM system
    So I have to make Sync Outbound Interface
    and Sync Inbound Interface.
    So I think so no BPM is required.I am correct?

  • Missed data JDBD Sender- RFC Receiver Scenario

    Hello,
    I simulated a JDBC synchronous scenario by developed a JDBC Sender-RFC Receiver Scenario to retrieve data from an Oracle Database and inside the RFC , ECC executed a Proxy-JDBC scenario to mark the retrieved items in the Oracle Database.
    Sometimes, in my productive system, some of the items retreived from de JDBC sender seems to be missed. In TA sxmb_moni i saw the message from the JDBC sender channel but the ECC don´t send the message from de proxy request inside the RFC, wich means that RFC doesn´t execute. And a time after without any kind of action, the complete scenario work fine.
    We found this trace log in the NWA stack :
    "Catching com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.CPAException: Couldn't retrieve outbound binding for the given P/S/A values: "
    Thanks in advance.

    Make a full CPACache refresh using the following url:

    After installing the new Yosemite OS on my iMac I can no longer send email. I can receive email, but not send. I use gmail and can send email on the gmail (google) site, but not on "mail" on my iMac. Any others with this problem? What should we do?

    My gmail, which is correctly configured for Mail with gmail SMTP and Google IMAP, works for awhile on Mail, which I leave open while working on other applications. But several times a day I get msg from Google: "We recently blocked a sign-in attempt to your Google Account" . . . and requiring me to verify my account details, re-enter passwords, confirm security settings (or change them from "disable" to "enable less secure methods" and so on). In Mail I also have tried "taking all accounts online", and re-entering my gmail password inside Mail account settings. These steps successfully re-set comms between gmail and Mail ... for awhile, then it happens again. Enough occurrences over a work day that I just quit Mail and revert to accessing gmail directly. Apple Care advisor and an Apple knowledge base article say that Apple can't deal with this, as gmail is third-party app, and they refer me to gmail, and so far I've found nothing helpful there.
    From today I also have several instances of a window saying "Mail has unexpectedly closed" and asking me to Re-open it.
    I also use Yahoo mail, which stops working with Mac Mail at the same time as gmail, but I do not receive notices to re-verify from Yahoo.
    I recently upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite. The Mail problem happened occasionally with Mavericks but is far more frequent with Yosemite.

  • XI3 SOAP sender and Receiver

    Hi
    I am stuck with a connecting to scenarios using SOAP channel. In short there is one business scenario that based on some conditions must start other scenarios (each one built around one business process). I am trying to send asynchronous SOAP message within the same XI and treat it as a External XI system to start another Business Scenario (using XI adapter does not work as the system discovers the message as being in a loop).
    Everything would be fine if there would be 1 target scenarios but I have 1:n. For asyncronous transport I have defined different Message Interfaces to be used for on each case. So XI should determine the right business process based on the message interface that uses the communication channel.
    So I have configured a SOAP sender and a receiver channel. As I understood from SOAP adapter FAQ I checked "Use Encoded Headers" and "Use Query String" for both - sender and receiver channel. And ofcourse receiver channel is pointed to http://:/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:{system name}:{receiver channel name} but when I start the initiating scenario the asyncronous message is sent of but nobody is catching it.
    In RWB Message monitoring / adapter engine I found the the message receives an exeception:

    Any ideas... how to make XI to send SOAP messages so that the same XI system would be able to pick them up?
    Or what have I done wrong?
    Best wishes,
    Heiko

    hi,
    What is the format that u are using for the sender URL....The error message you are getting either because the names that you have mentioned in the sender URL are wrong or the URl format itslef is wrong.....if the format is the one that you have mentioned in the first post then it is not the desired format.
    Use the following format to create the URL to send the request:
    http://<servernameORserverIPaddress>:<portNumber>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:<senderservice>:<snederCCname>&version=3.0&Sender.Service=<senderservice>&Interface=<IRnamespace>%5E<senderMI>
    Replace
    with
    & amp;
    (no space inbetween the two words) in the above URL.
    How to configure SOAP communication channels (sender and receiver) so that two XI instances could communicate and (more important) use different message interfaces on the same channel?
    While creating a Receiver communication channel there is no need to specify the interface name and hence it can be used in different scenarios....however a sender communication needs the sender interface to be specified (as in SAP XI.....not in SAP PI).....so a sender channel can be used in different scenarios but with only the same interface.....

    Abhishek
