SOAP XML Response in the form of JSP

Hi,
I am using a command in Websphere Commerce(WC) as "WebServices Provider " .For new users command is WC specific java program which takes input and throws back the result to the calling program.
when a client sends a SOAP xml request to WC WebService Command,it sends back the SOAP XML response in the form of JSP to client.The Client is in Microsoft .Net language.
My Question is:
1)How the client is interpreting the SOAP XML response in JSP.
2)Since the client being a .Net provider,to understand this response,he has to make any extra
configuration ???
Can somebody in the forum can help me in this regard.
Thanks
Mike

  • How to Show the Alerts inside the Form in JSP?

    Hello
    I am having parent form inside that thru one of the links,opening
    a small another JSP. Inside the small another JSP, i am validating
    the Screen and giving alerts. While Validating, the Alerts are coming
    outside the small another JSP and appearing in the Parent Big Page.
    I want the alert to appear in the small Another JSP. What to do?
    Thanks

    When you submit, the whole form is submitted. thats why you are getting alerts like that.
    you can use HTML frames to avoid these. but it is not possible to have frames inside a form. you have to have forms inside a frame. submit that particular frame's form so that only that part will be refreshed with messages/alerts.
    the otherway is paint the screen as it was earlier just change the inner jsp content. its seems you are getting only alerts cos the information is same.

  • Can we change the XML source of the form bulider ?

    Hi,
    I have one doubt in the XMLfrombuilder. in Renderlist form.when we give "Link to xml source " in the hyperlink property it will show the xml source code.
                      is there  any possibility to change  and save the source code so that the changes should reflect to the form.
    Thanks ,
    Rajeev.

    Hi,
    you can write styles direct to the element:
    <td height="10%" valign="top" style="padding:0px;margin:0px;border-left-color:#000000;border-left-width:1px;border-left-style:solid;font-size:1px" width="0%" rowspan="1" colspan="1"> </td>
    or format elements with style from css:
    <a tabindex="0" class="urLnkDragRelate urTxtStd">
    Did you mean that with style use?
    In our project we created forms with some of these properties. E.g. we use under System the property Modified By.

  • Recover responses to the forms

    Hi, I create a form and sent to some people but right after I had to re  install the operative system so now I don't know how to recover all the  responses to my form that I'm sure I had from my friend. I need to know  how to see all my responses now. Thank you very much for your help.

    It would help to know how you were collecting the responses. There are too many options for you to assume we know what you did. If you reinstalled the OS, does that mean your hard drive was formatted?

  • Getting Date in the form in JSP

    Hi,
    I am working on a form created in JSP that gets the date from the user, just in case the user wants to modify the date (default is current date), i wish to provide an option for that. Is there any other way apart from using list boxes asking for day,month and year?
    My doubt is about the part - alternate for listboxes with separate options for day, month and year.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Other way is to let the user manually enter the date in desired format, e.g. yyyy-MM-dd, and use SimpleDateFormat to convert between String and Date.
    Date date = new Date(); // Today's date.
    SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd");
    String dateString = sdf.format(date); // 2007-05-24And the reversed way:String dateString = "2007-05-24";
    SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd");
    Date date = sdf.parse(dateString); // Thu May 24 00:00:00 [zone] 2007Check the SimpleDateFormat API for several date format patterns.

    Please help me out in creating an object from it.
    Thanks,
    Hiranmayee

    It's one of those things you usually start from the other end.
    IE with a class and then serialise / deserialize to xml.
    Because you have a namespace in there:
    <settings version="1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="http://www.counterpath.com/cps">
    I think you will find linq to xml will have issues with that.
    You could still use xpath to pick data out of there and there's been a thread on the c# forum recently which is relevent:
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/2dc0581e-f2fd-4fd3-89ee-e59280c398e6/read-xml?forum=csharpgeneral
    Why do you want to turn that into an object?
    By the way.
    This isn't a wpf question and you should probably have posted it on the c# forum.
    Hope that helps.

  • How do i prevent getting a xml declaration in the xml response

    Hi,
    I am using a soap call to access a webservice via plsql.
    The xml response from the webservice starts as follows
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope">..............
    I want to find ways to
    1. either prevent the xml tag <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> from being returned in the response.
    2. or somehow convert the entire response to a string and remove it by substr (not sure about this)
    The issue i am facing is that when i run a xmltype.extract on the xml to get a particular node i am getting the
    ORA-31013: Invalid XPATH expression
    when i remove the tag from the response (using hardcoded values) i get the right values back.
    Any suggestions are welcome.
    Regards
    kpillai

    Hi,
    The code extract with hardcoded values looks like this. Please note that i added quotes in the xml statement
    '<?xml version=''1.0'' encoding=''UTF-8''?>which is not the case when oracle returns the xml and i guess thats the whole issue.
    The code below runs perfectly. But when the entire procedure runs where the xml response is returned I get the error.

  • Make all the forms at a user level or responsibility level to be read only

    Hi,
    Please suggest me to make all the forms at a user level or responsibility level to be read only. So that when a particular user logs in, he gets all the form in read only mode or at a particular responsibility all the forms are read only so that we can attach this responsibility to the user for the same purpose.
    Any ideas will be highly appreciated.

    </searchReturn></searchResponse></soapenv:
    Body></soapenv:Envelope>
    My cursor that gets any errors returned appears ok. This is:
    CURSOR c_xml_err(i_xml IN XMLType, i_xmlns IN VARCHAR2) IS
    SELECT extract(value(xmlseq), '/Errors' , i_xmlns) vi_errors
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Warnings' , i_xmlns) vi_warnings
    FROM TABLE(xmlSequence(extract(i_xml, '/GetAddressSearchResponse/ns1:ResponseHeader' , i_xmlns))) xmlseq;
    i_xml that is passed in is an XMLType converted from a CLOB which is the response from the web service:
    v_xml_response := XMLType(i_response);
    i_response is the SOAP package above with the following done on it:
    -- Strip the unnecessary SOAP XML envelope from the response
    v_xml_resp := XMLType.createXml(o_response);
    i_response := v_xml_resp.extract('/soap:Envelope/soap:Body/child::node()'
    ,'xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"').getClobVal();
    i_response is defined with a type of CLOB.
    i_xmlns that is passed in is: 'xmlns:ns1="' || i_xml_namespace || '"' where i_xml_namespace is: http://aplt.nzpost.co.nz/schemas/search
    My cursor that tries to get the address details returned is:
    CURSOR c_xml(i_xml IN XMLType, i_xmlns IN VARCHAR2) IS
    SELECT extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Postal.PostBox.Number/text()' , i_xmlns).getNumberVal() box#
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Thoroughfare.Number/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() street_number
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Thoroughfare.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() street_name
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Locality.DependentLocality.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() suburb
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Locality.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() town_city
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Postal.PostalCode.Number/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() post_code
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Postal.PostOffice.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() box_lobby_name
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/ResultRecord/AddressDetails/Postal.PostRoute.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() rd_number
    FROM TABLE(xmlSequence(extract(i_xml, '/GetAddressSearchResponse/SearchResults' , i_xmlns))) xmlseq;
    This is not correct because it doesn’t select anything. The i_xml parameter passed in is the same as above however the i_xmlns parameter that is passed into this cursor is different. It’s currently passed in as:
    'xmlns:ns2="urn:nzpost:schemas:xAL:3.0"'
    Which matches what is returned in the soap message (first the first address match returned):
    &lt;ResultRecord Type=&quot;URBAN&quot;&gt;
    &lt;ns2:AddressDetails
    xmlns:ns2=&quot;urn:nzpost:schemas:xAL:3.0&quot;&gt;
    I'm calling this cursor in loop as follows:
    for r_cu in c_xml(v_xml_response, v_xml_namespace)
    loop
    dbms_output.put_line('***** test12 - ws_avs_clients - IN LOOP - delete/insert nzp23_address');
    Nothing gets returned.
    Firstly, I’m not sure how to cater for n2, n3, n4, n5, etc which are the namespaces returned and incremented for each address match.
    I’m also wondering if my cursor should be changed to something like:
    CURSOR c_xml(i_xml IN XMLType, i_xmlns IN VARCHAR2) IS
    SELECT extract(value(xmlseq), '/Postal.PostBox.Number/text()' , i_xmlns).getNumberVal() box#
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Thoroughfare.Number/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() street_number
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Thoroughfare.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() street_name
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Locality.DependentLocality.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() suburb
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Locality.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() town_city
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Postal.PostalCode.Number/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() post_code
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Postal.PostOffice.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() box_lobby_name
    ,extract(value(xmlseq), '/Postal.PostRoute.Name/text()' , i_xmlns).getStringVal() rd_number
    FROM TABLE(xmlSequence(extract(i_xml, '/GetAddressSearchResponse/SearchResults/ResultRecord/ns2:AddressDetails' , i_xmlns))) xmlseq;
    However I couldn’t have the ns2: before “AddressDetails” because this gets incremented. I don’t think I can also have the i_xmlns namespace parameter passed in as 'xmlns:ns2="urn:nzpost:schemas:xAL:3.0"'
    because the ns2 gets incremented for each address.
    I'm looking for any examples of pl/sql code that extracts the addresses from the SOAP message returned like I’m trying to do?
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Brad

    You can find some examples in both the {forum:id=34} and {forum:id=75} forums. Just search on soap:Envelope or soap:Body and you should get some hits back.
    Since you are using 10.2, you will want to use XMLTable instead of TABLE(xmlSequence(extract as XMLTable is the direction Oracle is going. As for ns2:, ns4: it doesn't matter what namespace prefix you use in your XPath statement as long as all the prefixes resolve to the same namespace.
    Here is a starter piece of code that puts all that together for you.
    SELECT town_city, peeking
      FROM XMLTABLE(XMLNamespaces(default 'http://aplt.nzpost.co.nz/schemas/search',
                                  'urn:nzpost:schemas:xAL:3.0' as "adns"),
                    '/GetAddressSearchResponse/SearchResults/ResultRecord/adns:AddressDetails'
                    PASSING XMLTYPE('<GetAddressSearchResponse xmlns="http://aplt.nzpost.co.nz/schemas/search">

    SELECT town_city, peeking

    Hi sirs,
    I'm new to OSB. After try some lab test, i try to import a real web service.
    Web service is http://www.webservicex.net/globalweather.asmx?WSDL
    I copy whole XML file and create a WSDL file. Then import to OSB and then create a Business service using this WSDL resource.
    Then i test the Business Service. The test show:

    Disable the "Use Chunked Streaming Mode" property in HTTP Transport Configuration of your business service. By default it remains enabled.

    you are calling wrong  the Service.
    ¿what kind of service do you have? RPC? Document?
    ir your target service its document, I recommend this:
    1. Test target service with OSB
    2. copy XML request and XML response from the test.
    3. use XML request format that you got at Step 2 in your source service and using it at your "Service Callout".

  • Importing XML Response Files

    We have a form that is facilitating a submission to a server location as an XML file. Initially things were going well. Opening the response file would automatically load any new responses. Unfortunately after 50 or 60 responses were loaded the computer crashed and after recovering the response file only shows 33 responses so apparently the file was not saved correctly. Is there a way to manually import the XML responses into the response file?

    I know that I Import the form's XML Data directly into my Pdf by doing the following -
    Open the Form - Click on Tools - Then on Forms - Got to More Form Options - then Manage Form Data - Import Data - From here you can navigate to where your XML is saved and Import the Data.
    This is the only way I know how to do this, but it works well for us.
    Hope it helps.

  • How to view the Form Fields in Process data model?

    Hi all,
    I have made a form in LC Designer containing some name,ID and other generic details.Is there a way by which i can see those nodes in Proces data model when i load that document?.As of now it shows only attribute as Object. Can't I access those fields like name, id etc thru model directly.??

    You have to define an XML Schema for the form and bind the form fields to the XML Schema. Additionally, embedding the XML Schema in the form makes life easier.
    Given an XML Schema you will be able to navigate through the document hierarchy and access form fields in the XPath navigator.
    If you would like a sample form, just send me a request at [email protected]
