Solaris 10: How do I get to the {ok} prompt from here?

My Sparc box which is running Solaris 10 stopped working due (I think) to a power outage. Now I can't get it to boot up. I'm not interested in trying to recover the contents of the hard-disk. I just want to make the machine usable again. So I am trying to install the OS from the CD Rom drives. I have removed the hard drives so that it doesn't try to boot off them

Use a serial cable to connect to the server, then with either putty or teraterm connected power on the server. When it displays something similar to this:
Sun Fire V890, No Keyboard

OpenBoot 4.30.4.c, 32768 MB memory installed, Serial etc
etc.
etc.
Use the putty special command to send a break signal or use teraterm control --> send break. The server will drop to the ok prompt.
This is how I do it on all our servers as required and works a treat.

If you really want your contact back and you did not do another iCloud backap since you deleted some of your contacts, you can do a hard reboot on both devices with iClouded contacts by holding down the home and lock buttons on each of them for 10 seconds ignoring the slide to turn off thing. Make sure you have iCloud contact services off before doing so. You can then go through the whole set up process until you get up to the backup part. You then press to restore from an iCloud backup (make sure you choose the right backup for the right phone). If you didn't make an iCloud backup before the contact incident, you will have to use your two-month-old iTunes backups. Each phone should have their contacts the way they were from your last backup. You then go into Settings>iCloud>and turn off contacts. You then can choose if you want to keep your current contacts or not. Turn this off on both phones just incase you add another iCloud device to the mix later on. Now your contact lists are no longer linked (Caution: side effect may include lack of edit button). You may now add and delete contacts as you please without it happening on your other phone.

This usually happens because iCloud only keeps photo stream photos for 30 days (even though your last 1000 photos will remain on your phone until deleted). When you enabled photo stream on your Mac you only received photo stream photos from the last 30 days.
To get older photos to your Mac, create a shared photo stream containing them and invite yourself as a subscriber (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99). The be sure you check Shared Photo Streams in iPhoto>Preferences>Photo Stream. You can then import them to your iPhoto library by opening the shared photo stream album in iPhoto, then going to Edit>Select All, Control-clicking on any of the selected photos and selecting Import.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

How do I get at the files created from ADK in 7.3?

We are on 7.3 and have used ADK to archive off data to files. We are not able to figure out how we can get at this data and view it ? does anyone have a document to follow?

The archiving is for a mechanism to store history data without deleting it.
If we want to use or view the data, then we have to pull back the data from the archive.
Or else the archived data would be just a file in the server.
A query cannot pull data from the archive file.
If your concern is about performance, then why not partition the cubes year wise?
This would be a best way to improve performance without affecting the current data.
Just create copy cube for the history data,
Retrieve the data back from the archive to the infoprovide where it is archived,
load all the history data to the history cube
and include it under the same multiprovider.
This should solve your problems.

Have been struggling for days trying to get into the itunes store. Have contacted support with no help. Next, right-click on the cmd that comes up and select "Run as administrator".

I use HTML DB authentication and therefore all my user information is stored in HTML DB tables. I can use :APP_USER to get USER_NAME, but in my application I need to have also USER_ID, FIRST_NAME, LAST_NAME and EMAIL_ADDRESS fields from database. I don't want to change any database/schema security level so I cannot read directly from WWW_FLOW_FND_USER -table when I am inside in SCOTT -schema/sec.level.
How to read all the information?

How do I get past the password prompt with a locked iPhone?

I updated to iOS7, and everything seemed fine. But then when the phone locked after a few minutes, it asked me for a password to unlock. I never used a password before. So the phone is asking me for something I didn't have to do before. Now the phone remains in a locked state.
I tried my Apple ID password, 0000, 1234, last four of my phone number, last 4 of my SSN, and nothing works. Has anyone else encountered this?
The ultimate solution is to restore the phone to factory settings using iTunes, but that is pretty drastic, and besides, there is another little quirk about my phone that makes it not so easy -- I can't turn the phone off. The button on the top no longer works. I've learned to deal with that by just setting the phone to blank out after a minute, and of course when the new phone becomes available, I'm going to buy it, but in the meantime, the only way to turn the phone off is to let the battery discharge. So in order to restore to factory settings, I also have to let the phone discharge.

Yes, I have the same problem! It is driving me crazy as I don't have a clue what code they want me to put in and now everytime I try a new one my phone is disabled and I have to wait half an hour until I can try another one! It's ridiculous!!!

I have tried the printer with my laptop (not updated) and everything is fine. It's just the beautiful 27" Imac that can no longer print.

I used to be able to re-size just text on a webpage by typing Ctrl + +. Today, the entire webpage re-sizes, and when I move to another page it reverts. (I see this mostly in Facebook.). Why did this change, and can I go back to having just the text re-size?

I tried the method where you go into single user mode and type in commands, however that method uses some of the letters that are not working on my laptop.

You didn't mention which version of OS X your running but there are password reset utilities provided OS X: Changing or resetting an account password (Snow Leopard and earlier) - Apple Support or OS X: Changing or resetting an account password - Apple Support
Alternately you can use an external keyboard to log in and change the password. Make a backup if you don't have one, it's likely that your problems aren't over. If that water continues to migrate downward and fries the logic board your macbook will be toast.
