I am working on solution docuemtnation. and looking for some help to define the NOn SAP system like WMB or ATG in solution manager landscape defination.

This is a good question to me as I have no knowledge about IBM Websphere at all.
But at my opinion, you will need an "Websphere Appserver by IBM" (nothing else than IBM Websphere) to run the IBM Websphere Message Broker on. And therefore, you should go on assigning your Message Broker as product instance of the "Websphere Appserver by IBM".
If the IBM Websphere Message Broker is not a product part of Websphere (App)server, you should create a new product. Secondarly, if the version of your Websphere Message Broker differs from the ones provided by SAP (right pane "Productversion"), you will also need to create your own product, as they are not changeable if provided by SAP.
A third point to think about is, that if you would like to point out, that there is a real difference between the IBM Websphere Message Broker and (perhabs separatly installed) IBM Websphere Appserver, you should create your own product.
Last, but not less important: If you use the "Technical System Monitoring" of Solution Manager (see Solman Setup), you shoudl check, if there is are any templates for checking an Websphere Appserver provided by SAP. If so, you will need to assign your Message Broker as "Websphere Appserver" in order to use this monitoring template.

Now assume that there is no Template/Implementation project in the Solman 7.0 system that contains any business process structure. Is this possible?
Here is path for how to go about it:
Even if you do not have an implementation/template project you have some documentation that contains information about what was done to test the implementation? Something like a test script i.e. an Integration Test Script.
Just create some mock project and select the most revelant business scenario from the Business Process Repository (a.k.a BPR - The preconfigured out of the box scenario list that SAP delivers with SolMan) that you want to reverse engineer, for example Order to Cash process. Now you must have some scripts with you, that will act as the path to show u what transactions you run in your business process like VA01 , VA02 etc...
As a next step, Now use the BPR and the test script as a starting point to define your project. and then run the SoDoCa to do its analysis for the same project and there will be an option to update your SolMan project within the SoDoCa workcenter. The work is iterative and will require the O2C configurator's assistance at one point, even though you have a test script with you.
Since you use the BPR hte configuration comes out of the box, which explains how SAP attempts to let you reverse engineer.
There will be possible gaps and it will require continuous review eventually, which is part of keeping up the Business process documentation current.
If so, can you direct me to specific documentation? I couldn't find this in the solman-rkt link for 7.0.
I believe the RKT documentation does not have this information and in the ramp up process we were told about this being available in 7.1 with more added functionality.

Define Service Desk destinition in Solution manger system

Hello Guys,
We are in to the implementation of SERVICE DESK Implementiation.
When we are trying in Defining Service Desk destinition in solution manager system we found that there is no EXECUTE button.
In my finding i found there is a missing the patch and suggested go head with the patch attachement S/W component Name BBPCRM S/W Component Relese : 500 SP Level :11,Highest Support Pack level : SAPKU50011.
For furthur proceedings we required to define the service desk desitintions in soluiton manger.
Suggtions are very helpful for furthur proceedings and can be rewarded.

I try to understand what (at high level of course) happens in the back ground when an order is raised and which vendor solution your product can interact with.
As mentioned in the quoted text, this service catalogue goes beyond the standard infrastructure.
Let’s say, a user wants to deploy a new email services, or in your example, extends or create a new web-portal (i.e. for HR to view and manage holiday, staff absence and benefits).
Your solution will need to interact somehow with the 3rd party vendor application that is capable building such portal I believe.
Without disclosing to many information, I assume the portal is linked to backend VM,s that spin up requested resources (and more magic of course). Perhaps I am mixing this up with another cisco product where a user can go on the portal and spin up virtual Firewalls, virtual Routers can be provisioned in now time.
Out if interest; Is this product also known as Mozart? (project code within Cisco?)

Here's an excerpt from the docu:
What you can't do with a solution template
You can't switch on the admin mode for a solution template.
Therefore you can't, for example, define analytics content or create a mashup in a solution template.
You can't create BC sets using SAP BCOs in a solution template.
If you create a business object extension in a solution template, you can't use the following functions:
Enhance Enterprise Search
Enhance Forms
Enhance Report
Enhance Screen

Solman_setup and central&local solution manager SLD

Hello,
I'm configuring our solution mananger system with transaction solman_setup. The local SLD of the solution manager will also be the central SLD of all our systems. After finishg the basic configuration in solman_setup, and go to "managed system configuration", I can only see the only solution manager system, as ABAP and as JAVA, but no more systems (right, as I haven't defined more systems).
I cannot create more ABAP system with the link "maintain technical systems", the ABAP option when I select create isn't there.
If I create another type of system as a test, for example, third party, the transaction SMSY can see this new system, but the SLD in http://<my_solution_manager_system>:50000/sld doesn't show this new system at all.
Where must I create the systems? and how can I connect the SLD and the SMSY transaction? Should I "add SLD" at the Administration in http://<my_solution_manager_system>:50000/sld and put the suolution manager itsefl system?

Hi,
To ensure a system is registering into the SLD and synchronising with SMSY, go to transaction RZ70 and define the Host and Service.
Also, set up a user for accessing the SLD in transaction SLDAPICUST. The user has to exist in the Java stack to log into the SLD.
Also ensure your RFCs are correctly set up for LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI as per this link:

Then use transaction SLDCHECK to ensure your connection is working.
Finally enable SLD synchronisation into SMSY by transaction SMSY > Goto > Setup System Landscape Maintenance. Define the same host and port of your SLD and schedule the data transfer.
This should pick up the system once the landscape_fetch background job executes into SMSY.
You can use this approach for all your managed systems and is the most logical way to connect systems to the SLD.

Solution Managers System monitoring and CCMS/CEN

Hi.
Could anybody enlighten me on the Role of CCMS / CEN in the Solution manager Monitoring.
I have set up solution manager to Monitor my landscape. I have set up user defined limits and email alerts. These Alerts and the alerting agent - I assume - are carried out on the system being monitored.
Now the question - I want the Solution manager box to be the CEN and do the Alerting centrally (from the SM box) - Will the MTE's and Alerts that I have assigned and configured through System Monitoring use the properties set up though the CCMS?
I assume I will have to install the CCMS agents on all the target boxes - Will the Solution manager box process the Statics and send out the alerts from itself? If so How much workload does this place on the network and the box?
Why does the solution manager not act as the central processing and alerting box from the start? If we go through the effort of setting up the monitoring - why does it not set up Collection and Alerting at the same time?
Any feedback will be appreciated.

Hi Terry,
Solution Manager System Monitoring is using CCMS infrastructure, so we have two different ways to collect data (alerts) from the satellite systems, first via CCMS agents as you mentioned or the option to use RFC destinations to read the alerts. This can be configured automatically by SMSY in Solution Manager. The second option produces higher network workload, because every alert will be checked every 3 minutes, with agents only new alert values will be pushed.

I would suggest you take advantage of the documentation and simulations available in the Solution Manager Ramp -Up Knowledge Transfer area - http://service.sap.com/rkt-solman.
The areas are broken down by section and links such as Overview Build, Config, Deploy, Operation, Optimization, etc are provided. There are many hours of tutorials.
If you are just starting out, this information is invaluable.

Excluding some objects Solution Documentation Assistant Analysis

Is there a way to exclude certain objects ( transaction codes/programs etc .. for example SE* ) while running an Analysis in SolDocA ? We have numerous Informatica generated objects that need to go into this exclusion list. The intention is that these objects wont appear in the Analysis report. The names of these objects are like ZDW####.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi Rony,
The Solution Documentation Assistant(SDA) Analysis is based on an Analysis Project which has been created e.g. from a Solution Manager project. Assuming that your transactions etc. for which you won't perform an Analysis for are assigned only to certain business processes or scenarios, you might exclude these structures and sub-structures during the creation of an Analysis Project. With regards to the report you can exclude such objects for the structure results as described above. As the report contains also objects from the Analysis Summary, you would need to remove the whole section or the few tables or the entries you don't want to have in manually from a copy of the report. In case you want to have a list without such objects from a summary table you might use filter functions before doing the export of the table.

I have a requirement which says workflow needs to be activated for the Functional Documentation that are uploaded in the Solution Manager SOLAR01 & SOLAR02. We have decided to use cFolders for enabling the Email Functions, Status Update and so on. Can any one help me to find the Configuration and Implementation guide on how it can be done in Solution Manager.

Hi Thomas,
I can confirm the problem you are hitting. The XML test trace does not get recognized at all, and it defaults to Eclipse's basic Open File behaviour. I am not sure if it's because the format definition is missing, or if it's because something prevents the trace type from being recognized. I will open a bug about it.

How to use existing WSP file of reusable workflow and create sanbox solution?

I have to migrate the SharePoint Designer 2013 workflows from Development environment to Production environment. So, I am following the process which is mentioned in this blog:

And it is working also, but problem is that; this visual studio solution is getting deployed as a Farm Solution and I wanted to deploy it as a sandbox solution.
Is there any way to achieve this?
I have also tried one more way which is:
Create SharePoint Custom Workflow Project as a sandbox solution in Visual studio.
Get WSP file from development site (as mentioned in above referenced blog)
Open WSP file and copy the content to Visual Studio Created project
But this solution is also not working; "Feature is not getting deployed as sandbox solution" error is occurring.
Can anyone please help me on the same?

Hi,
When you export SPD workflow, it will be a sandbox solution only, you are not required to configure further.
Just import the workflow into Visual Studio, and make the changes that are required. you are good here.
you can set the scope attribute in your WSP feature element.

How can i take the number of a random process to use it in math´s and show the solution to the user?

i wrote this function and i try to show the number of seconds the user was to early or to late to click the stopbutton to the user.
its about to hit stop intuitiv while in the background ther is a random number already made but the user dont know or see it.
the eyes opens in a random between 100 and 40000 millisec. if they open up the user should click stop without seeing them. so its intuitiv.
i just tryed.
this code is on the mc with the eyes to let them open randomly. it is on the second frame at the main time code. 1st frame is the start button and a small description. on the second the stop button and the closed eyes with the script down here as i already said. and on the 3rd frame is the end wher it should be shown to the user. thats how i tryed. please let me know any suggestions and or other solutions to my problem! If you need to see my flashfile to help me just let me know. i send it to you or something :-)

1. There is no way of knowing. These things happen.
2. The iOS only gets updated when you want it to be.
3. You should always update to the latest iOS your phone will support. Apple do not write the updates to make your experience worse.
