Whats the problem ?
Hello Pooja,
One thing you want to check is based on your SP level that the following notes have been applied on your system:
1172948 SAP Solution Manager: Basic functions (18 & 19)
1334252 SAP Solution Manager: Basic functions: SP20 and SP21
1405878 SAP Solution Manager: Basic functions: SP22 to SP24
1468591 SAP Solution Manager: Basic functions: SP25 and higher
If the relevent note is not already applied to your system, then please do so.
As Tom has already suggested you want to check the Job log for RDDEXECL.
You can do this with transaction code SM37.
Check for lines like:
ABAP/4 processor:...
Which indicates there was a short dump created and the program terminated.
You can look at the dump via ST22. This can be used for a Note search that may address the cause for the dump.
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Paul

Business Function Set: Enterprise AddOns in Solution Manager
Hello
For testing purposes I want to activate the Enterprise AddOn EA_PLM in transaction SFW5 inside a Solution Manager 4 installation but no Enterprise AddOn is available. Additionally there is only one Business Function Set called "telco reference pack" with two Business Functions. Do I have to set up something before I can active the Enterprise AddOns? I thought PLM is part of the Solution Manager 4 installation.Hello Marc,
the Solution Manager consists "only" of an CRM-component, the SolMan component itself and the Netweaver 2004s platform. So no PLM (and no Enterprise AddOn) is available. SolMan coves some functionalities of Software Lifecycle Management, but does not include the PLM coding itself. For EA_PLM you need an ERP system.

Ehp1:Solution Manager:Stuck at ddic activation
Hello All,
While upgrading the Solution Manager to Ehp1, import stuck at phase DDIC_ACTIVATION, reason for error is TP_STEP_FAILURE, the return code is 0012 and the error message: OCS Package ******** , tp step A, return code 0012.
I can see in the log of the import queue that the job RDDMASGL was terminated and I found the entry "ABAP / 4 processor: EXSORT_NOT_ENOUGH_MEMORY" in the log of that job.
My system is a 32 bit Windows operation system with 3GB physical Ram.
I have the following doubt
1.) If i keep on re-runing again will the already activated program will be skip or will be re-activated.
2.)How can i resolve this error.
Regards
AnthonyHi
If i keep on re-runing again will the already activated program will be skip or will be re-activated.
It will be skiped and will proceed with rest of the object
How can i resolve this error.
You need to check import logs for better analysis
Rerun the import and see how the things go

For info, we have the same problem.
In our case, Solman run with a temporary key (hw change before upgrade).
After install of new license key and restart the "Configuration" phase, we can go on with "Keep version"

Frustrating time to find the Solution Manager add-on for CPS Scheduling.
I have spent a couple hours looking through my maintenance optimizer and the software download site.
The problem is that I cannot seem to find the plug in anywhere. I have found posts pointing to different locations but each one has been a dry hole for me.
So here are the questions
1) Does the SolMan Add on for CPS scheduling cost ? I believe it is ST_PSM
2) Where is it on the download site?
Thanks
GeorgeST_PSM is not part of the "normal" Solution Manager license, it must be licensed separately. If you don't have that license you won't see the it in the Download Center.
Check
Note 1109650 - SAP Solution Manager 7.0 Extension Addon's (which contains the correct paths in Download center)
Note 1122497 - Process scheduling for SAP Solution Manager

SM:SELFDIAGNOSIS background job getting failed in Solution manager
Hi All,
SM:SELFDIAGNOSIS background job getting failed in Solution manger server :
Job Log:
2-22-2012 16:44:02 Job started 00 516 S
2-22-2012 16:44:02 Step 001 started (program RDSWP_SELF_DIAGNOSIS, variant &0000000000324, user ID BASISUSER) 00 550 S
2-22-2012 16:45:07 Internal session terminated with a runtime error (see ST22) 00 671 A
2-22-2012 16:45:07 Job cancelled 00 518 A
ST22: Dump:
Runtime Errors ITAB_DUPLICATE_KEY
Date and Time 02-22-2012 16:45:07
Short text
A row with the same key already exists.
What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "CL_DSWP_SD_DIAGNOSE_CONSISTENTCP" had to be
terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
An entry was to be entered into the table
"\CLASS=CL_DSWP_SD_DIAGNOSE_CONSISTENT\METHOD=CHECK_USERS_BP\DATA=LT_USCP"
(which should have
had a unique table key (UNIQUE KEY)).
However, there already existed a line with an identical key.
The insert-operation could have ocurred as a result of an INSERT- or
MOVE command, or in conjunction with a SELECT ... INTO.
The statement "INSERT INITIAL LINE ..." cannot be used to insert several
initial lines into a table with a unique key.
How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"ITAB_DUPLICATE_KEY" " "
"CL_DSWP_SD_DIAGNOSE_CONSISTENTCP" or "CL_DSWP_SD_DIAGNOSE_CONSISTENTCM00M"
"CHECK_USERS_BP"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".
3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.
KIndly Suggest to resolve the above issue
Thanks

Error While Applying patch ST-PI 2008_1_700 to solution Manager
Dear Techies,
Thanks alot for your fast response.
We are trying to upgrade Solution Manager Stack from
ST-PI 2005_1_700 to ST-PI 2008_1_700 ,
While applying patch it was suddenly stopped with an error
"Manual modification adjustment is neccessary"
While I tried to adjust it.
In Note correction tree. This the message with " green tick"
"0001293326 EWA: Newest ST-PI Is Rated 'Outdated'; Wrong RTCCTOOL Date"
and is not allowing me to proceed further.
How to go about.
Thanks in advance.
regards,
KiranHi Varun,
Thanks for your reply.
As suggested by you, I executed "RTCCTOOL" programme.
It Has given that 4 notes were in red status.
They are.
1. [Note 69455 ] Addon upgrade ST-A/PI 01N_700SOL
Description "Servicetools for Applications Plug-In" for Solution Manager 4.0-7.10 (Addon delta upgrade package)
Implementation From http://service.sap.com/supporttools->ST-A/PI download the addon upgrade package ST-A/PI
01N_700SOL. Upload to tx SAINT (just as you would do for an installation) and install as per note 69455
Then restart report RTCCTOOL and choose 'List->Refresh from SAPNet'.
4. [Note 539977 ] ST-PI Support Packages
Description Addon supportpackage level 4 for ST-PI 2008_1_700 for 7.00 [patches up to level 4 for Basis tools for services]
Implementation Open http://service.sap.com/supporttools-> ST-PI 2008_1_700 ->Supportpk. Add patch SAPKITLRD4 (and predecessors if not yet implemented) to download basket. Release basket via Maintenance optimizer. Upload from frontend int transaction SPAM, define a queue and import the queue.
6. [Note 539977 ] Note 1312413 for ST-PI
Description Maintenance Certificates for SPAM/SAINT may get periodically overwritten by invalid ones on ST-PI
2008_1_7* SP 00. Prevent this proactively, even if you do not yet use the automatic maint. certificate
distribution.
Implementation We recommend that you implement the Supportpackage SP1 for ST-PI 2008_1* to solve the error. Only if
not possible implement note 1312413 with not version >=12 using SNOTE. Regarding automatic maint.
certificate distribution see http://service.sap.com/maintenancecertificate.
9. [Note 1293326 ] EWA serviceprep correct. in sequence.
Description Wrong alerts appear in EWAlert Service preparation section (Newest ST-PI Rated Outdated / Wrong
RTCCTOOL Date) if Solution Manager ST-SER < 701_2008_2 SP1 and satellites on ST-PI 2008_1* / ST-A/PI 01L*.
Implementation Implement the coding correction of this note 1293326 with SNOTE to solve the wrong service preparation alerts. Else if you do not mind the wrong alerts simply set this recommendation manually to green after reading.
These are in green status
Successfully implemented addons/ transports/ notes
2. [Note 69455 ] Proc. after addon impl.
3. [Note 539977 ] Addon ST-PI 2008_1_700
5. [Note 539977 ] Note 1300023 for ST-PI
7. [Note 539977 ] Note 1293657 for ST-PI
8. [Note 12103 ] Collectors and TCOLL.
While I tried to implement the note "69455" system is giving the message that there are no valid corrections and is coming out of the process
"Note 0000069455 cannot be implemented since no valid correction is available."
And is same for other notes also.
How to go ahead.
Thanks in advance.

Solution Manager Enterprise Edition upgrade slow
Hi
I am performing SOMAN 7.0 upgrade to Enterprise edition by upgrading kernel 701 and SP stack 18. I have already upgraded the kernel and java stack and now in the process of upgrading ABAP. I am expereincing really slow performance of this upgrade. I have checked tp and R3trans version which is uptodate as I updated kernel. I cant see any problem with CPU utilization as well swapping. I checked the SLOGs and there are no alerting errors. I see its moving and its very slow. I am just wondering if any of you guys experienced this - is this normal since this is a upgrade? Thanks a lot, i realize the installation following the standard add-on installation procedure!
Now i have the ST-ETP

Then don't forget to perform step 5. After the installation steps.
Step 5 says this:
5. After the installation
To activate SAP Solution Manager Enterprise Edition, the Enterprise Addon SM_APPLM has to be activated in the IMG of the Solution Manager System. This is done via IMG activity SAP Solution Manager->Configuration->Scenario-Specific Settings->Activate Solution Manager Enhancements.
a) In the case of ST-400 SP15-SP17
To use Extended Tracebility in Change Request Management activate BC-Set SOLMAN40_CHARM_CONTEXT_001 in transaction SCPR20
b) In the case of ST-400 SP18 or higher
The activation of BC-Set SOLMAN40_CHARM_CONTEXT_001 will be done automatically.
In my spro i don't have this options->
I see the route Activate Solution Manager Enhacements in SPRO -> Cross Scenario Settings
And in enterprise extension I only see ( SM_CRON, SM_QC_AD, SM_SSP,SM_SUPP_VAR)
I guess that this in SP24 is done automatically, but you said, that don´t forget the step 5 after installation.

Hi, all, How can I check if my version of solution manager is stardart or enterprise edition.
I need that information because in one of the presentation slides of the enterprise service "SAP Modification Justification Check"-

Solution Manager vs Enterprise Solution Manager
Dear All,
We already have solution manager installed in our SAP System landscape.
But a visiting consultant give a new word to managers about enterprise solution manager with following benefits.
1-If we have enterprise solution manager then SAP AG can access our system and inform us about system health.
2-If we have enterprise solution manager then SAP AG will react on our ticket not on what we send but on the the actual actual condition of system.
3-We can only utilize our support services in a right way if we have enterprise solution manager.
1- Now first where I can check that the installed solution manager is standard or enterprise?
2- The benefit which is listed above is really available in enterprise solution manager?
3- Any tutorial or link defining how to install and configure enterprise solution manager.
Any response will be highly appreciated

Urgent need for the creation of solution manager key please
Hello
Can i please ask you to create a solution manager key for me ?
i am stuck in my test installation of ECC6.
Here are my details :
Instance name : sapdb1
Instance number : 01
Computer name : ap-hp1
Kind regards
ChristopheHi Chris,
I understand the urgency. There are only two ways you can get a solution manager key. One by yourself. Otherwise, please create a message with SAP requesting a solution manager key temproarily. Unfortunately, even though we can create a solution manager key, it is not advisable to distribute the key in forums.
Hope this helps.
Thank you. -
Solution Manager - Support Packages
Dear All,
We are applying patch for our SAP Solution Manager 4.0. We are using SAP ECC 6.0, We already applied patch for our development and production servers.
The following are the patch level in Solution manager

ST-ICO 150_700 0006 SAPK-15076INSTPL
ST-SER 700_2006_2 0000
We downloaded all the above package, but struck in applying the patch. I want to know the hierarchy of the packages to apply, i confused in this level.
Could anybody let me know the order of above support packages to import.
Regards,
Sridhar SAs already mentioned, the best is to apply a complete Stack by the way you should do the complete job and update to EHP1 because your system will be still low in some SP's.
If you have done SP's installations per components and not per stacks then you could face problems after or during SP's installations so it will be way better to use the Stack Strategy.
But if you think you should go this way then in SPAM you can review New Packages and once there, every package will show up there prerequisites or level of the components (ex: SAPBASIS, ST_SER, ETC) that are necesary to be able to install any component SP's.
It is extremely important to read the Notes regarding the SP's, their dependencies and possible problems with some of them, for example, some SAPBASIS SP's cannot be applied alone or up to certain level because there are known problems and you should go one level up or down to avoid this problems.
Either way I have applied Stacks since they come out and it is better to use this strategy in our Solman with no problems at all.
Have a nice day, -

I've solved the problem. I think while doing kernel or component upgrade SAP clear all configuration that connected from ABAP and JAVA. You can re-config from config tool.
1. Goto \usr\sap\<SID>\<SIst.Num>\j2ee\configtool and execute go.bat
2. cluster-data -> global server configuration -> services -> com.sap.security.core.ume.service.
3. Configure:
ume.login.guest_user.uniquefields with J2EE_GUEST, and make sure the user is already exist in ABAP
ume.persistence.data_source_configuration dataSourceConfiguration_abap.xml
ume.r3.connection.master.ashost
ume.r3.connection.master.client
ume.r3.connection.master.passwd : with SAPJSF user's password
ume.r3.connection.master.sysnr
ume.r3.connection.master.user : SAPJSF User
