[SOLVED] VIM - need help with keymapping
As the header says, I need help with creating a key mapping in my vimrc. What I would like is a
mapping to<F8> that would toggle between " :set paste and :set nopaste. " Any and all help
would be appreciated

Almost solved, just need help with a service file!
Hey all,
For some time now my systemd sleep hook has stopped working (e.g. only killing my program and not relaunching it when waking up). Only now I have time to look into it, though, so I can't really say if any update caused this.
I had a custom sleep hook in /usr/lib/systemd/system-sleep/dwmstatus.sh, which killed my dwm-status program before going to sleep/suspend and started it again when waking up. It looked like this:

I've been looking into it and noticed the example on the Wiki (my previous script above was a direct copy of the old example) got updated, so I updated mine accordingly. It now looks like this:

But that's not working either. (The echos are just here for debugging this). I first tried using just dwm-status to start it again, but it didn't work. Then I tried the full path without result too and now with exec I still am not getting anywhere. Can someone explain to me why it's not working anymore?

I checked journalctl but it comes up without any errors whatsoever:

EDIT2: The ERROR line is not related to dwmst. I put some echo lines before and after killing and launching dwmst and the ERROR line appears after the echo's:

It took me a bit of time to install arch but i finally did it, turns out i just needed to disable ipv6. Anyway yesterday everything worked fine and now that i try to complete the install by downloading a wm suddenly pacman refuse to download anything, it says it can't synchronise. Can anybody help pls ?

[SOLVED] Need help with setting up X
Hello guys am new to the forum and this is my first post here. I am in need of a little help.
Need help with X configuration. It starts like this, I installed xorg-server , xorg-utils, xorg-server-utils. When I tried installed xorg-init it says no package, anyway I ignored and moved on.
Now I installed regular mesa stuff and installed xf86-video-ati driver for my HD4250 graphics adapter. with libgl and ati-dri (I have old arch wiki print so it mentioned to install those while newer doesn't list some stuff)
Now the problem is that Xorg -configure doesn't work with newer X and nor the packages has generated /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.
Anyway I created the file manually and added each and every section as mentioned in the "old" guide that I have.
I even added a /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-radeon.conf file for my graphics card with the content as
Section "Device"
Identifire "r"
Driver "radeon"
EndSection
After manually creating all such files I installed x-term, xclock and twm. But when I tried to start X by startx or Xinit it says command not found. Add to that a simple X shows couple of errors.

Some more questions : My old guide mentioned to install HAL while newer guide on the net mention DBUS. Though I have added DBUS to be on the safe side but why not HAL ? Is it because of Udev ?
So please help me getting X up and running.

1. There are few errors in xorg.conf that I cannot make it out.
2. The X output says no screen found. ?

I am using 11.1.1.4.0 Jdev version. I need help with my usecase.Been trying it for 2 days but couldn't figure out the issue.
I have a transientVO . In this VO Rows will be populated programmatically. CountryId is an attribute of this VO. I have created a viewAccessor "CountriesVA" from Country VO of HR schema.
I have a LOV for the countryId which is based on this VA ,getting countries from CountryTable.
This is the model part which works fine.
Before the page load i have called a method to create a row for this transientVO.Once the row is created i can see the SOC in my page which i have created as below.
Now i want to insert a row in the transientVO if user selects a country and restrict duplicate entry . (As One row is already created 1st time there will be no rows created.after that rows will be inserted)
The issue is :: Suppose there are 2 countries. A & B .When user does the following actions :

what i did is i have created a method in appmodule to iterate rows and all the method y operation bindings and my logic works fine ....
MY Advice to all Adf developers ,though i am not an expert but i can assure you to follow the above process for rowIteration.If you use the iterator binding in the manage bean to navigate the rows u'll face issues which are unexpected.

As your notebook is a business class machine, security is more stringent - the password is stored in non-volatile memory and there are no 'backdoor' passwords. Your best option would be to contact HP regarding this.

I have a problem where I need to use a corporate designed
.swf in a digital signage solution, but have been told by the legal
department that it can not be modified in any way, I also can't
have the source file yada yada. I pulled the .swfs from their
website and I decompiled them to see what I was up against.
The main swf that I need to control is HCIC.swf and the
problem is it starts w/ a preloader, which after loading stops on a
frame that requires user input (button press) on a play button,
before the movie will proceed and play through.
What I have done so far is to create a container swf,
HCIC_container.swf that will act as Target for the HCIC.swf, and
allow me to send actionscript to the file I'm not allowed to
modify.
I managed to get that done with the help of someone on
another forum. It was my hope that the following script would just
start HCIC.swf at a frame past the preloader and play button, and
just play through.

I need help with reviewing in adobe acrobat professional 8.0 for windows.
When I click in Edit->Preferences->Reviewing I choose Network folder and in browse button I select the network folder.
It´s ok, but when I restart the computer, the configuration of reviewing dissapear.
Any sugestion for solve this problem?The closest I came was:

which I got from another thread. It works, but the result tends to have a - before the number. Also when I use the formatting in acrobat and select percentage the decimal placement gets confusing. Need help with Page Layout and Background Scaling
hello, everyone.
I am in the process of designing a new website for myself,
and while I was researching nicely designed pages to use as
inspiration, I stumbled upon this site:

obviously, the design is very impressive, but it also
incorporates a lot of web mechanics that I have been trying to
figure out, so I will use this page as an example.
one thing I need help with is backgrounds. as you can see in
the posted website, the creator used a seamlessly tiled paper
texture to display the bulk of his content on. also make not of the
pattern that is located to the left of the paper texture. how do I
create seamless backgrounds like this that will scale to fit any
amount of content or any resolution? I can't imagine that the guy
that made that site created a new size background every time he
made an update, so there has to be an easier way.
the second thing that I am having trouble with is general
site layout. I have read that most sites used series of invisible
tables to organize there content, but when I open the source of
this page in dreamweaver, he was using something different. div
tags? should I be using these? who do I use them? are there any
general layout tips that someone could pass on to me? perhaps a
link to a good tutorial?
please help me. i am very confused.

Need help with installing on Photosmart C7280 all-in-one
I did have my printer installed, and was using the printer for 3 laptops wireless within my home. Now I can not even find my Backup disk, so i need help with downloading the software to use my printer, and also get it back to being used wireless. I do not know what happened, but the fax for this printer is listed, just not the printer itself. please help!

Need Help with Inserting Timeline Markers

I have not use my premiere element 3.2 since 2008 and forgot some of the procedures. now, I need help with the insertion of Timeline Markers. I did what the Help Page showed me. But the markers were not effective in the resulting DVD, or, even when viewing the video in the editing page as if thye were not there! Here is what I did:.
1) Click the Timeline button.
2) Click in an empty space in a video or audio track in the Timeline to make the Timeline active and deselect any clips.
3) Move the current-time indicator in the Timeline to the frame where I need the marker.
4) Click the Add Marker icon in the Timeline to place the Marker 5 times where I want them.
5) Verified that each Timeline Marker is present at the intended place.
6) Burned DVD
7) Can NOT jump to any of the intended Marker in the Resulting DVD during playback.
The question is "What did I do wrong or didn't do?" It seems that I did the same before and worked! Please advise!
Also, what are the significance of the Red line just below the Timeline and the yellow bars inside the video and audio frames. But after preforming Timeline/Render Work Area, they were all gone? What purposes do they serve and what is the significance of Rendering? Thank you for your help!
I repeat the process and did a Rendering before making the DVD also. It did not help!

Long time no talk! You used to help me out many times when the PE-1 through PE-3 came out. I was HOPING you would still be around and you are! You came through again this time! Many thanks to you.
I use the Add DVD Scene button to insert the Markers. They are Green. Made a DVD and the markers work OK although ythey are "effective" during play back using the editing window.
While that problem was solved, will you come back and answer the other two questions concerning Rendering and the Red/Yellow lines? I would appreciate it very much!

Need help with raw fine tuning version
I am a new user of the aperture 2. I just activated my copy of aperture by the trial key provided by apple.
Everything looked nice except when I imported some raw images of Fujifilm S5PRO, the raw decoder available are only 1.0 and 1.1. There are no option for 2.0. Also the recovery function under exposure is disabled.
Need help with this, how could I solve and get back to a 2.0 decoder?

First design and implement a class called PairOfDice, composed of two six-sided Die objects. Using the PairOfDice class, design and implement a class to play a game called Pig. In this game, the user competes against the computer. On each turn, the current player rolls a pair of dice and accumulates points. The goal is to reach 100 points before your opponent does. If, on any turn, the player rolls a 1, all points accumulated for that round are forfeited and control of the dice moves to the other player. If the player rolls two 1s in one turn, the player loses all points accumulated thus far in the game and loses control of the dice. The player may voluntarily turn over the dice after each roll. Therefore the player must decide to either roll again (be a pig) and risk losing points, or relinquish control of the dice, possibly allowing the other player to win. Implement the computer player such that it always relinquishes the dice after accumulating 20 or more points in any given round.
I realize this is a long code, so it would be greatly appreciated to anyone who writes this one for me, or can at least give me any parts of it. I honestly have no clue how to do this because our professor is a dumbass and just expects us to know how to do this...he doesn't teach us this stuff...don't ask. If you are genuine, the program is very easy to write, so, your Professor is correct when he said you should
be able to do it. I'm still very much in the beginner category at java, and it took me only 20 mins to write
(+5 mins to design it on paper). 2 classes in one file < 100 lines. Most of the regulars here would do it in half the time / half the lines.
All of the clues are in the description, break them down into their various if / else conditions. Write it down on paper.
Have a go. Try to achieve something. Post what you've tried, no-one will laugh at you, and you will be
pleasanty surprised at the level of help you will get when you've "obviously" made some effort.
Again, have a go. If you don't like problem-solving, then you don't like programming. So, you gotta ask
yourself - "what am I doin' here?"
