Some clips have no more images in the events library

Sorry for my english, I am French.
Some clips have no more images in the events library. The image appears only when I am on it. Do you know why ? I think this is a bug, very annoying.

Sometimes these files become corrupt. When that happens often the program behaves badly, sometimes in completely unexpected ways.

I wouldn't spend too much time worrying, but also don't assume that it will continue functioning normally. I dropped a MacBook Pro and dented it in around the same place, and it worked fine for a month, then died out of the blue. Any physical trauma can produce damage that can worsen over time, as cracked or weakened connections expand and contract due to heating and cooling. In my case, repairs would have been more than $1,000. (I chose to just buy a new one instead.)
So, hope for the best, but plan for the worst. Make sure you are maintaining a good set of backups, and be prepared for the possibility of a large repair bill in the future.

One folder in the Event Library is empty! Why?

I recently uploaded many clips to iMovie '11. In the Event Library there are many folders. The problem is, one of those folders (selected in the screen shot) has no video clips in the corresponding Event Browser. +"The message in the Event Browser says: No video clips match the current selection. Choose a different option from the Show pop-up menu, below."+
What might I have done to cause that? I doubt that I actually selected all of the clips and deleted them!!

According to your description, you might want to check the existence of sub folder in a folder of a library using Client Object Model.
Please take the code demo below for a try, it will check whether there is sub folder in a given folder:

Why does my clip have a higher quality in the viewer than the canvas?

When I am editing, I have noticed that sometimes my images and clips have a drastically higher quality in the viewer than the canvas/timeline, what is causing this, and how do I edit and export my films with the highest quality possible?

The answer is very simple; the Viewer shows the media at its native resolution while the Canvas shows the media at the Sequence resolution. I'd bet that in your case, the original media is of higher resolution that the Sequence in the Timeline.

Lots of my clips of videos have lost their audio in the event and project.

I have been making a video using iMovie and when it started everything was fine and as it should be. I have been adding clips to the project and all seemed fine. Some clips get rejected and moved to the trash to clear some space on my hard drive. I have just played the video back and lots of the clips have no audio over them, even though they did when they were imported. The clips that have lost the audio aren't ones that have had parts rejected and I have tried all of the help topics that iMovie has to offer. Can anyone help me work out how I can find these again because these clips are very important. Please help, I'm really not impressed. Thanks

The audio should still be there. Try opening the clip inspector to the audio tab and set the volume slider to 100%.
Also, make sure you don't have the ducking feature in use. That will cause all other clips to be muted while the ducking is on.

Hey just doing a check. In. Do you have any more information about the Lightroom app for tablet? Like when it is coming out, what features will it have? Because I can't Waite. Especially for editing a raw file on a tablet. Excited.
I do have a Few questions. 1. Will the app have a library mode that allows the photographer to display the raw files on the app like how photo shop touch does. Example. When your import a photo from the iPad it shows up in the photo app that Apple makes. But when you take that photo into photo shop and save it as a psdx file, the project or photo does not show up in the original photo app by apple.
2. Will the app use the smart previews when you import a raw file on to the iPad the same as you do with a computer?
3. Do you have to Waite to go home to edit a raw file or can you edit on the tablet once you import the photo from camera to iPad? Instead of going home import to computer into Lightroom 5, then to adobe cloud, then to iPad.
4. Will the app display catalog, book, etc modes like Lightroom 5 has?

The files show up on the hard drive with import date not created date, but many of these same files are not showing up in Aperture. Sometimes the clips actually show up with the current import but take on the video information from a previously imported file.

It was suggested I move this question to IPhoto or IMovie which I did.
Well moving to a different discussion group did not provide an answer to this question either. But what I finally did was import one batch of photos and videos into IPhoto for a given day at a time. Working with these I could change the date and times in order to get them in the original sequench taken. Then I would create an album with that batch. These would all be on the same day (IMove was closed for this phase). Then I would open IMovie, generate the thumbnails for that album, and select the album I had created. This was necessary because the importing process in IPhoto was using incorrect dates for my video so it was a real struggle finding them in IMove until I developed this approach.
I believe that this whole process was so screwy because I was importing from an external hard drive not a camera. I had these photos on a PC and did not have the original cameras to use to import directly which I am fairly sure would have made this easier!

That's called Flagging. It's a way to make a quick selection of photos. For instance if you're looking for the best shot to print you might go through the photos and flag candidates for further inspection. Then clicking on the Flagged Section on the left, you can see these selected photos together. You can remove flags by clicking on them, if you mouse over a shot you'll see the option to add a flag by clicking. This can also be done in the Photos menu.

When I use Export Project to New Library in Aperture does it create a copy of the images in the new Library?

I am going through my only library now and trying to better organize everything. I am grouping my images into projects by year then cleaning up each year. As I finish a year I use the Export to New Library option to create a library for each year. My question is when I do this and I tell it to Consolidate Masters into exported library does it create copies of the images in the new library as well as leaving a copy in the original library? My goal once I get this completed is to delete the original library but I certainly don't want to lose any of my images. Just looking at file sizes for the libraries I can see that the main library never gets smaller and the new libraries don't really seem large enough to contain everything.

To be honest a 6 year old machine with 4gb of memory and 300gb of disk running Lion and Aperture is not going to give you the greatest performance no matter how you split the library.
You're going to need more disk, What's your backup procedure now? The best performance will be had by getting an external disk putting the masters on it as referenced and having the library on the internal drive.
More memory would be nice but a 6 year old iMac, I think, is maxed out at 4. You'll need to keep other programs running to a minimum when you're working with Aperture.
How much free space is on the internal drive? That will be an issue also. If even with the masters relocated to an external drive cause the internal drive to fill up you'll need to move the library off the internal. If you do that you'll want to go with a FW drive. As long as only the masters are on the external you can get by with a USB but once the library goes out there you're really want to look at FW.

I need to flip a clip in the event library, not timeline. Is that possible?

I have a clip that is upsidedown and want to flip it in the event library and then work on clips. Can I do that? Is all editing available in the event library?
Also, when I flip my upsidedown image in the timeline (not where I wanted to do it), the thumbnails don't flip even after it's done rendering. Is there a fix for this?

This is the timeline for that specific clip. In FCP X each clip can be opened in its own timeline.
If you again select the same clip in the event libraryand choose "open in timeline" there you'll have it.

IMovie '11: how to move edited clips back into the event library?

I made a green screen video that is supposed to be the foreground, and edited out the ums and ahs. Now I need to add a green screen background, which apparently I cannot do after already inserting the green screen foreground footage. (I would LOVE to be able to do that, but apparently you cannot.) I have tried to drag the edited videos back into the event library, but they bounce back out, and I have checked all of the menus twice and there is no command to export to event library. Help! I need to insert a background and don't have another hour to re-edit from scratch.

No - there are no easy and straight forward way to do this - BUT
You must do as one does in iMoivie when there is a need to combine several functions.
Export out (the manipulated clip) as a full quality QuickTime movie (just this part)
Then import this as a new Event
Put this into a new project (if several effects is to be applied) or into Main movie if You only need to apply one more thing as a GreenScreen.
For several effects - one might need to Export/Import several times. Much easier in FinalCut Pro.
