"Some files were skipped due to errors"

I keep having this problem trying to get my photos into Revel.  I get this notification to try this great new program called Revel and I am supposed to be able to have unlimited storage.
Except every time I try to move my photos I get the message, " only 4 out of 894 photos were exported .  Some files were skipped due to errors. Please try again later"
I keep trying and trying and trying and trying and I get the same message.  I do not know which have transferred and which have not.  I do not know what the ERRORS are because it does not tell me.
I am really getting frustrated with this stupid program that was supposely so wonderful and now all it is is a headache.

-->No.  I do not get an error about duplicates.  I only get a message literally saying "some files were skipped due to errors."  It does not tell me what errors, what files were skipped etc.  It then tells me to "try again later."  When I try again it gets worse.

-->Cool new features about sharing are not helpful if my pictures wont upload to Revel.  I have an easier time sharing on facebook, so revel sharing means nothing to me.  Sorry.  I cannot use the forum on sharing.
I appologize for my frustration in advance, but it has been nothing but a headache to use Revel and I am about ready to give up. 
Contacting support is my last and only option to save this experience and this program.

Once I wrote my password, and for now on, everytime I start the session, another window advise me that "Java SE 6" is missing, due that, the computer can't run some "CS5Service Manager". If I try to install it, the download ends with an error. If finally, you skip the istallation, you arrive to the dock, but the menu bar at the top of the screen doesn't show up.
    In addition, my trackpad doesn't works either. I can move the arrow but i can't click anywhere, probably because the option of clicking by touching is disabeled and I can't performance a regular click.
    I'll be very glad if someone know what the heck is happening with my computer. Anyway, I'm going to the genius bar next Saturday. Thx!

  • Import iTunes Media Library, some files were not found problem

    Hi guys,
    I am trying to restore my music library info via importing from iTunes Media Library xml file I backed up. During import, iTunes gave me error message box saying that some files were not found and therefore won't get imported. After it's done, I checked the iTune and I noticed many of the music files did not get imported at all, even their locations are correct. Is it because iTunes stopped importing at the first entry that it found its location not existed and therefore skipped the rest all along? Even later ones might be valid. Is this the case?
    Is there an easy way to find out what those entries are? So perhaps I could go and edit them directly in the xml file. The message box did not give much information
    Any help would be really appreciated,

    I have now experimented a little more and discovered that although Time Capsule (TC) is showing in Finder as a Shared Drive at laptop startup (and showing a status of a connected user, me) it is not actually 'mounted' in the true sense of the word i.e. the unmount/eject symbol is not showing next to it nor either of the drives connected to the TC. By clicking on either of the 2 drives (i.e. the TC 'Data' disk or the TC USB-connected drive) the status changes to show the dismount symbol on both the selected drive and the TC in the Finder side bar. Launching iTunes after this intervention works every time as per your advice. Not the Apple 'it just works' that I have come to expect and appreciate but at least I now understand how to make it work reliably..........many thanks and I hope Apple just makes it work sometine in the future

    Does it play in iTunes on the computer? What is the format of the album?

    I am performing database backup using the following command:

    upon checking the RMAN logs, it finishes and I can tell that it is a good backup. I can also list the backup pieces that had just been backed up. after this step, i want to backup the flash_recovery_area to tape, i used this command:

    Backward compatibility FROM what TO what?
    CS6 to older, or newer to CS6?

    I have a [rather worrying] problem.
    When I try to copy all my files from my documents on my mac [or the entire documents folder] into an external drive, I get this error message
    " The operation can’t be completed because an item with the name “.DS_Store” already exists. "
    I am not given an option to skip this file or anything else.
    But I simply cannot complete the operation!
    I have tried deleting a few of the .ds_store files, [both in the original and in the destinations]
    but no success.
    The same thing keeps happening.
    At first, this was just happening when I was trying to backup to my dropbox folder [the one on my mac's harddrive, which gets synced to the cloud],
    but then I tried to back up my documents to my external hard drive, and I realized it is giving me the same error message.
    So effectively, it seems I cannot backup my files anywhere!
    Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Please read this whole message before doing anything.
    This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches. 
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and  Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

    You stated that the error message you got states that the file "could not be opened, because the original item cannot be found. Is the name of this file in Italics? If so, it is an alias that points to the real file, and the real or original file cannot be found.
    You stated "I cannot even select the file. If I touch the file that message instantly pops up." What do you mean by "touching the file"? Do you mean clicking on it once which highlights it? Or double clicking on it?
    Just click on it & keep your mouse button depressed, then drag to trash.

  • "..cannot be partitioned because some files cannot be moved."

    So here's what happened.. I had WinXP SP2 running on a 20GB partition with my leopard on the other. I needed a little more space on my XP partition, so I erased the partition so I could create another.
    However, when I try to create a 30GB partition, I get the error message:
    "The disk cannot be partitioned because some files cannot be moved."
    I heard the simplest way to fix this is by using iDefrag or some other programs like that. However, is there a FREE way to fix this? I'm not exactly bursting with extra money right now, it would be great to be able to get my XP partition again without having to pay for it >.<
    Any suggestions? This is really frusturating! I tried repairing disk permissions and all that jazz, but it's just not working =[

    For some reason the text didn't copy in >.< but yeah, that's what it says on iDefrag after I run it for my MacHD.

  • Time Machine silently skipping files with disk I/O error

    Last week, my machine started periodically freezing for roughly 20-30 seconds at a time. I noticed corresponding "disk i/o error" entries in the system log and the problem seemed to be getting worse.
    I bought a new hard drive, did a final Time Machine backup, swapped drives, restored from my Time Machine backup, and rebooted. Everything seems to be working fine, until I tried to open a VMware Fusion virutal machine (named Win7.vmwarevm). Fusion complained of a missing file. I check Fusion's log file and notice that it was failing to load one of the files inside the Win7.vmwarevm bundle that holds the VM's disk image (s009.vmdk). I did a "Show Package Contents" to peek inside and, sure enough, noticed that 2 files were missing from the sequence of 2GB files that make up the disk image (s009.vmdk and s010.vmdk).
    I went back to my Time Machine backup and confirmed that the last backup of Win7.vmwarevm was indeed missing the 2 files in the bundle. I looked thru successively older backups and noticed the same phenomenon until I got to a backup made on December 20th, which included the 2 missing files. I restored Win7.vmwarevm from the Dec 20 backup and it worked fine. Unfortunately, I lost all my work between Dec 20 and Jan 5.
    What concerns me is that in the 4 backups I'd done between Dec 20 and Jan 5, these 2 missing files failed to be backed up, yet Time Machine never complained. No warning, no error, nothing. This seems like a serious bug to me. Without an error message that says "[n] files failed to be backed up", you assume that your backup was successful, when, in fact, some files were skipped. This behavior seriously undermines my confidence in Time Machine. At this point, I have no idea how many of my original files have been recovered.

    I don't think so. Usually what happens is, it sends a message about "indexing a file failed" or "an error occurred while copying files to the backup volume," and the backup fails, citing Error 11.
    As I posted, I don't use any of these, but it's my understanding that the whole PC system is in a disk image -- to OSX, that's just one monster file; that's how Time Machine will back it up, too. I don't know how it could back up the files individually, since it doesn't understand the Windoze file system -- it cannot back up a Boot Camp partition, for example.

  • Fixing a CS5.5 problem in uploading some files.

    Some files are being skipped while uploading to my website using CS5.5.  I am getting messages "Some files were skipped during the last operations..." and "There was no response from server while transferring file ..." . The particular files that are skipped are not consistent.  Upon trying to upload again, other files are skipped and those that were skipped before appear.

    Nancy,  I just wanted to let you know that I successfully located my personal configuration in my Mac OS S, and deleted the MacFileCache.  That had no affect what-so-ever in correcting my problem of some gifs not being uploaded to my Dreamweaver web site.  Per the directions in the web site, I also tried renaming " Configuration" as "Configuration_old."  I started everything up again, and the problem is still there.  Intermittently in the last 5 days I have had a continuous string of "There was no response from server while transferring file gif…." and "Some files were skipped during the last operations."  I have even had "Forbidden-You don't have permission to access/ on this server?  In that case my" index page" won't open.
    I have called Dreamweaver support, have been given a Case #, and waited about 72 hours with no response from them. I've also contacted my internet provider (NUVU), Apple Support, and Dotster Support (my website host).  All say they don't know what the problem is, but they've tested everything at their end and it all works.
    Do you have any other suggestions for how I might correct this situation.  FYI.  Most of the gifs that are disappearing from my site have been on it for months with no problem and the particular gifs that disappear each time I try to "put" my pages change over time.

  • Some items were not copied LR5

    When importing into LR5, Lightroom shows a progress bar which moves along and says importing files. After a few minutes the progress bar reaches the end, and Lightroom says some files were not imported and lists allt he files that should have imported without importing anything.
    Ive tried importing from memory card, copied the files to my hard drive and tried the import from there also, all with the same result.
    Files are NEFF Nikon files. I have imported many times using the standard method from the same card reader without any problems except for today.

    I seem to have solved this. 
    The destination of the import was to an external drive, and I have changed the permissions to ignore ownership and the import is now proceeding as it should.

    If you feel that these additional transaction codes are important for the businesses SOD requirements, then I would advise you to add them to the functions defined, or make a custom function and business process, allowing you to obviously customize your risks even more.
    Also, just out of interest, does any one know if we would ever be seeing a Industry Solution (IS) related rule sets being defined publicly like the ones SAP release for the R/3 modules? There is alot of interest in many companies who implement IS modules such as Utilities and Automotives etc, but it seems if GRC is to be implemented at such companies, there would be alot of work involved in defining a custom ruleset compared to cases of just tweaking and modifying, and time is a big concern on tightly planned implementation projects.
    Obviously some of these IS transactions may relate into a similar R/3 tcode, therefore its a case of substitution with the recommended default ruleset, but this is not always the case and it may be hard for general implementors to identify as they are not experts within the specific field.
    If anyone knows of any best practices for defining SOD rules within IS modules, would be interested in being pointed the right way.
