Some music doesnt come up in my search?

sometimes when I search some songs or artists, it doesnt come up as what I searched. i know that they are spelled right and everything but it I still have no results. for example i search "acdc" and it comes up with all of this other stuff like tribute bands and stuff. does someone know why this is?

What is available in the iTunes Store is what the content owners have been willing to license. There are a number of tracks, albums, etc. for which Apple has been unable to obtain the rights. AC/DC, as Chris said, signed an exclusive deal with Verizon. Other artists have similar exclusive deals with other stores, or have been unwilling to license for download at all (the most common reason being that the artist, or record company, doesn't want to license for individual-track sale but rather only by complete albums), or have their own download setup. You can submit a suggestion through the iTunes music request page, but there may be nothing Apple can do.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact Apple ID Support, upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
You will need to show patience with the procedure and be prepared to demonstrate without question that the account belongs to you. Don’t expect access to be restored immediately and if you aren’t the owner of the Apple ID registered to the device the account won’t be reset.

  • On my ipod touch i bought some music but when i go to download it on my pc it just comes up as downloaded and doesn't let me do anything with it

On my ipod touch i bought some music but when i go to download it on my pc it just comes up as downloaded and doesn't let me do anything with it.As in it w'ont let me download it or anything like that.

Make sure you have signed-in your iTunes and authorized the computer.
Go to iTunes menu EDIT > PREFERENCES > DEVICES tab and check the Box "Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically then OK.
As long as you don't sync your devices, iTunes will not wipe out music from your iPod.  Now connect your iPod and do the Purchase transfer only.

I had the same issue this morning downloading a pre-order of Alanis, Flavors of Entanglement . I noticed that the only thing that had changed fro me was that I had some song credits for purchasing ticketmaster tickets over the past few weeks. When I went ahead and spent my remaining credits... it downloaded with no prompting or trouble. Maybe the credits issues hangs it up?

  • How come I can't add lyrics to some music?

For some reason I can't add lyrics to some music files.  The lyrics tab is gray'ed out.  What gives?

Select such a song in iTunes then select File > Show in Finder. In the Finder, select File > Get Info.
Under "General", what is its "Kind"?
At the bottom of the Get Info window, under "Sharing & Permissions" does it say "You can read and write"?

  • All of the free music that comes with iMovie is suddenly missing. How do I get it back?

I wanted to start a new project in iMovie, and I realized all of the iLife music is gone. I'm not talking about my iTunes songs, which are all there. I'm talking about the free music that comes with iMovie/iLife. I used some of the music in a previous project, and that still plays, but I can't access the music anymore from the music tab.
The iLife sound effects are still there, but all the music is gone.
    Please help.

I can't see any folder called 'iLife Sound Effects'. Also, I cant find any jungles when I search jingles. But, I can get jingles in iMovie (I can't seem to find them on garageband)
See the following screenshot from GarageBand - firstly click on Apple Loops in the top right corner, then on Jingles in the listing of items that appear below that. You should now see all the Jingles in the panel at the bottom right of the window.
    Hope this works for you!

You are speaking about album art I assume? Is the album art in iTunes on your computer?
Like some of them do have them and some of them dont also my computer ad ipad doesnt have the same music
Probably because all of the Music wasn't selected to sync from iTunes. When the iPad is connect to iTunes on your computer, you can select Sync Entire Library in the Music Tab of iTunes if you want all of your music on the iPad.

  • USB superdrive is rejecting some music CDs

This year I purchased a new iMac (27" late 2013 running OS X 10.9.4) and a usb superdive to go with it.
Today I went to rip some music into itunes, however the superdive will not accept one of the disks. It doesnt sound like the disk is really spinning at all, the drive is making a "clicking" sound, like the laser is fully articulating. Then after about 20 seconds the disk is ejected.
The disk (Saturdays = Youth by M83) was released in 2008, so its not too new, but nor is it too old.
I tried popping the disk into my 13" late 2011 macbook pro to make sure the disk wasn't at fault, and it worked just fine on the old laptop.
I would like to get to the bottom of this issue as it is a little annoying to rip the music onto my laptop and then air drop it to the iMac (although this is the first time this has happened, I get 1 or 2 CDs a week so it could arise again)
Is there something wrong with the drive? or could it be user error somehow?
    Thanks in advance

First try cleaning the CDs that are not reading
    http://labnol.blogspot.com/2006/07/how-to-clean-dvd-or-cd-disc.html
and the DVD/CD drive with a lens cleaning disc.
    http://www.amazon.com/Memorex-CD-DVD-Player-Laser-Lens-Cleaner
Then if that does not help, get yourself a good tray loading desktop drive.

  • I have 2 albums on my iTunes library (Brand New Machine and Calamari) and when I go to sync it onto my iPhone 5s it doesnt come up as an option, when I go to the itunes store it wont let me download it from the cloud, why can I get these 2 specific album?

  • TS3212 I just purchased a new iphone 4s and I am trying to load some music from my itues. I am getting a message that says not enough space. I checked my phone and it shows i have 5.1G available. do you know how to fix this problem?

I just purchased a new iphone 4S and I'm trying to loan some music from itunes. I keep getting a message that says not enough space on my phone. I checked my phone and I have 5.1G available. I deselected all the songs on my itunes to try and get it to sync and I keep getting the same message. Any tips?

    Hey csumner1,
Thanks for the question. I understand you are receiving a "Not enough free space" alert when attempting to sync your new iPhone 4s. The following article may help to resolve your issue:
iOS: "Not enough free space" alert when trying to sync
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1503
    Resolution
Try disconnecting and reconnecting your device, then syncing again to solve this issue.
Orphaned files may remain on your iOS device if it is physically disconnected while syncing music, podcasts, videos, or photos. This can prevent iTunes from syncing the iOS device on subsequent sync sessions. When this happens, the Capacity indicator in iTunes may report a large amount of "Other" disk usage for the iOS device. To resolve this issue:
    1. Turn off the music or photo sync option in iTunes for the device.
    2. Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
    3. Turn the music and photo sync options for the device on again.
    4. Click Apply again to try to sync the device to iTunes.
              - If the 'Not enough free space' alert appears, continue to step 5.
    5. Turn off the automatic syncing functions for the iOS device. To do this:
              - Select the iOS device from the iTunes window and click the Summary tab.
              - Deselect "Automatically sync when this device is connected" and select the "Sync only checked songs and videos" checkbox.
              - Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
              - Reduce the amount of data that is being synced to the device and resync the device. For example, if syncing your Music library exceeds the memory capacity of the device, choose "Selected playlists" to transfer rather than "All songs and playlists" under the Music tab in iTunes.
If the 'Not enough free space' alert appears, continue to step 6.
    6. Restore using iTunes.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • I forgot my security question answers. It has never asked me what they were, and now they are and I have already put a gift card on my account. I have used all my tries, but I need me some music!lol

I have forgotten my security question answers. I have never had to use them while purchasing, but I tried today, and they asked for them. So I now can't buy my music which really *****, because I am sitting in the hospital waiting room wanting to get some music, and I can't now. Is there a way I can get around that? Cause I seriously can't remember my answers. I don't even remember setting them up when I set up my account a couple years ago.
