"Some of the videos in your itunes library.....

including the video "example", were not copied to the ipod "blank's ipod" because they cannot be played on this ipod"
These files im trying to add are mp4. I got this awhile ago, but I'm not sure how to fix it. Any ideas?

check the installation of Quicktime reader(try to have the last version )
Ipod can read only .m4v, .mp4 with less compression format (320 by 240)
itune convert Mp4-base and enhance to m4V , mp4

  • Error coming up states " warning some of the videos in your iTunes library including video "Dora" were  copied to the iPad "ellen's iPad " because they cannot be played on this

I purchased tv shows for my son over 4th of July weekend from iTunes on my iPad...he has been watching with no problem...yesterday I backed up my iPad and the videos were taken off while I was syncing it. Error coming up states " warning some of the videos in your iTunes library including video "Dora" were not copied to the iPad "ellen's iPad " because they cannot be played on this iPad was not copied because the video format is not supported by the iPad.....makes no sense since he watched the video on Friday on my iPad...I went into the properties of the video and under the summary tab states kind of video is mpeg-4video file...went into the folder on my pc and the file is listed as a m4v file...under the tab tv shows when my iPad is connected I have it checked to sync tv shows and to automatically include "all" episodes of "all shows" ....
I am using version 4.3.4 on my iPad and iTunes version 10.4 ...I even restored back to the original settings and still did not work....called apple twice yesterday and spoke to 2 different people and no one could help me.....I am able to load a movie from my pc to my iPad with no problem and the movie is a mpeg-4video file....totally clueless...

I kept having a similar problem - 3 out of the 10 videos I had on iTunes wouldn't sync. They were in the right format and I KNEW they worked on my iPod because I'd RECORDED them on my iPod. I finally figured out what to do! Go to the movies in your iTunes library. Click on one that does not sync. Click on "Advanced" at the top of iTunes and choose "Create iPod or iPhone version". Once that's finished, be sure you delete the old version so you don't keep getting the error (or have 2 copies of the same video) and sync. This should eliminate the problem. At least it did for me!

  • Some of the videos in your iTunes library, including the video "Video 1"...

"Some of the videos in your iTunes library, including the video "Video 1" were not copied to the iPod because they cannot be played on this iPod."
Never had this problem before. I just updated iTunes and there was no change. All videos are in .mov format. I've tried .mp4 as well with no change.
I've deleted them from the library and tried putting them back in several times. Anyone have any help for me?

    Hi!
I've been following the 5G iPod threads and playing around with video files for the past week while waiting for the iPod to arrive. It's now here. I somehow managed to rip a full-length DVD, demux the AC3 audio and convert it to AAC, put the movie back together, and load it into the iPod (don't ask... I don't think I could explain it...). However, the slideshow (with music) I made in iMovie (with input only from iPhoto and iTunes) which I "shared" to QuickTime (pro) using the expert settings and the default option to convert for iPod failed to load to the iPod!
Hmmm... strange that using five, third-party programs/hacks got me a full length feature film, but my Apple programs with built-in support used in the default mode for iPod failed to convert a simple three-minute iMovie slideshow. I tried two of them, neither worked...

  • Some of the videos in your iTunes library were not copied to the iPhone because they cannot be played on this phone

I have been getting this error message even though I know that the videos I am trying to sync to my iPhone is in the right format, mp4. I have about 4 GB in videos and all of them are in this format but the new videos I am trying to sync to the phone (about 11 of them) in the same format cannot be copied over.
    Any clue?
I am using iPhone 4 on the latest iTunes version on a Windows 7 PC

  • "Some of the applications in your iTunes library were not installed..."

"...because one or more errors occurred."
I've been getting this message for a couple of weeks now. Basically iPhone is unable to update any new versions of ANY applications downloaded to iTunes. I was hoping that 2.1 would fix this but looks like it hasn't, much to my disappointment. This is an infuriating bug. Is there anything that can be done about it? Really not happy about this.

I think I may have found a real solution (NOT a workaround) that both fixes the problem AND preserves specific app data, though I can't take credit for it (that belong to an Apple Store "Genius" somewhere in the US of A). It first appeared in another related thread:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1685284
    It goes like this:
"+1. Upgrade to iTunes 8 and iPhone 2.1+
+2. Sync iPhone so you have a backup (I make a zip of my backup directory and save it off just in case - see http://tech.kateva.org/2008/08/iphone-backups-are-stored-in.html for details)+
+3. Restore iPhone to original state using the restore button on the info tab. This wipes the phone.+
+4. When the phone mounts iTunes will ask if you want to treat it as a new phone, or restore from backup.+
(An addendum: I've done a couple of restores in the past - for unrelated reasons - and have come across the "Locked SIM" and "Emergencies Only" problem after the restore. This appears to be a problem with the reset phone suddenly not recognising the SIM. I don't know if this is a widespread issue, but it certainly seems to be the case for Vodafone SIMs, but I do know that the fix is to simply remove the SIM - while the phone is on - and replace it. I might add that this is Vodefone's universal fix for all SIM-related problems.)
    +5. Restore from backup. This doesn't restore everything -- but don't worry.+
+6. Sync (this will take a while if there's music involved).+
+When all is done everything should be in place. In the past the restores still left me with a lot of cleanup, but this time I only had to arrange a few icons. My passwords were restored.+
+Now, why do I think this will solve the problem?+
+When I did this iTunes said I had no updates. The App Store on the iPhone said I had 4 updates. I actually used the App Store to apply the updates -- a process that has NEVER worked in the past and has been trouble for many people. This time it smoothly applied the updates, and when it was done it said there were no more left."+
I've now had an opportunity to test this and can report success - phone now updates apps from either App Store or iTunes correctly - all the updates sitting in App Store were applied smoothly - and there's no data loss.
    Some caveats:
    1. DON'T attempt this first thing on a workday morning (like I did) - the process can take a long time.
    2. Switch to "Airline" mode - a call right in the middle of the process will terminate it and you'll have to start over.
    3. I run a Mac system, so I don't know if the fix works for Windows or other OS users. Reports back from Mac OS people are running at 100% fixed so far.
    4. It appears to be the combination of the latest phone OS (2.1) and iTunes 8 that lays the foundation for this fix. Make sure you've got both installed BEFORE you start this process.
Please report back on success or otherwise.

  • Some of the apps in your itunes library were not installed on the iphone because they are not compatible with this iphone

I've just spent 2 hours before work last night, and another 3 since getting back, trying to figure out why iPhone 3G syncs kept dropping my Skype and Shazam apps.
    Performed 3 full time-consuming restores.
Then every other bit of online advice I could find.
Clicking "reset warnings" finally revealed this ( image included )
I had always trusted iTunes to know *** phone I had . . but I guess not.
Then a chat with a Skype agent reveals they don't support older versions . .  or my 3G phone without iSO.4 !
Are ALL companies so out of touch with those struggling in the economic realities since 2008 ?!

To answer that question you would have to ask those companies.
To get around the issue, you could always install the older versions of those apps that do support iOS4, if you still have them or can find them.

It's a gen.5 ipod with video and works fine with almost everything. Sometimes I get the above message.
I've recently tried a brand new set of CDs to rip to the ipod, and I get this again.
I've de/re-authorised the mac, but no joy.
    Ideas?

Thanks for the answer, but this is not a nano, it's a 5th gen 60GB wth video.

  • HT5457 Upgraded iphone 4 to IOS 6.1 Can not restore apps. "Some of the applications in your iTunes library were not installed because one or more errors occurred" error message

I made the mistake of upgrading my iPhone 4, a seemingly innocuous task if you follow the Apple commercials' rhetoric.
Now I can not restore any of my apps and before I go to far, I am wondering if I wil be able to restore my purchased apps?
Is there an easy fix, before I waste hours on the phone with Apple tech support?
Why is it becoming so complicated to run a telephone?
    Thanks
    O

  • ITunes say Some of the videos in your library were not copied to the ipad, what am I doing wrong?

I bought movie on my ipad and watched them. I then bought movies on my HP desktop from iTunes but when I synced my ipad to get them to download it took off the movies and won't let me download any of them, it says  Some of the videos in your library were not copied and cannot be played on ipad, but I think I've done everything right. Does anyone have a suggestion?

the only time i ever got that error was when i would drag videos i encoded myself into itunes (not purchased from apple).
the solution for me was that the audio track was not in the correct format. ipad and iphones want the video to contain
    a H.264 video track
    a AAC audio track
when i would try to import m4v videos and i got that message it was because the audio track was not AAC and it was another format like MP3 or WMA/wav

  • Some of the content in my Itunes library has the "!" next to them and is unable to play the songs as it says the source is no longer available

Some of the content in my Itunes library has the "!" next to them and is unable to play the songs as it says the source is no longer available, yet on an old Ipod the same tracks are available and play fine?
I would love to know how to consolidate all my music and be able to play it without one device saying they are unavailable yet another device says they are?
Also how obsurd is it for Apple to charge for supporting their devices! Or is that just me?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Have you tried using spotlight.

  • Some of the apps in your iTunes were not installed in the iPhone because one or more errors occurred.

I have a Mac Air and an iPhone 5 and I have the latest iTunes installed and I was running Mountain Lion but, I upgraded to Mavericks thinking the upgrade will fix the problem but, I still have problems with my apps. For some reason it doesn't want to install back 119 apps and I tried to use the "Transfer Purchases" thing but it did not work. I will appreciate any useful help. Thank you.

I'm going to answer myself this posting since I had a chat with one of the Apple support person and that person resolved my problem. Basically in iTunes I clicked on the iTunes Store and on the right side of the iTunes, it shows the "Quick Links", so I clicked there and I went to "Purchased" and I downloaded "All" my apps and that pretty much fixed my problem with the exception that, I had to manually download from my own phone some apps but once I had all my apps updated and my phone configured in the way I wanted, I performed another "sync" and no more error messages. I'm posting this in case someone else have the same problem.
