Something is deleting my distribution list in Production system

Hello masters:
I created a distribution list in order to send emails from a workflow item. It's working fine in dev and qas. However, something is deleting my distribution list in Production system.
And the worst is that my distribution list is deleted as soon as I create it again (well, it lasts a few days).
Does anybody knows what could be happening?
Thank you.

Probably the Distribution list is not getting created at all.
Also check whether there is any program that is deleting the distribution list.

Also check for Authorization when you are trying to display existing Distribution list.

  • Transporting SBWP distribution list to another system

    Hi all,
Have anyone knows how to transport a SBWP distribution list to another system? I mean transport it from development system to QA system.
    Thanks,
    Teddy

I think the distribution list is not transportable. I will use another method to store the data so it will be transportable.

  • Copying Distribution lists to other systems...

    Guys,
Are you aware of a way to copy SAPOffice distribution lists to other SAP systems?
I found the program RSSORPLI that replicates FOLDERS to different systems, but IT DOESN'T include the distribution lists.
Do you guys know a program to replicate Distribution lists or a way to transport them?
    Thanks

  • Sensitive Transactions List for Production System

We are looking for a comprehensive list of sensitive transactions (e.g. SE38, SE37, LSMW, etc) that should NOT be assign in Production environment. Transactions that will trigger audit violation in PRD environment. Hopefully with documentations or whitepapers to backup this list.
    Thanks,
    Lye

They could only access data from SE16 if they have the corresponding s_tabu_dis activity for the authorization group to which that table has been assigned.
If the auth group is not maintained, SE16 will assign the value '&NC&' to it and check it.
If granting s_tabu_dis for other tables sharing the same auth group is inappropriate, then these can be re-assigned in transaction SUCU.
I still don't see where SE16 or SM30 itself are problems if the user has correct authorizations.
Infact, if a user must view / maintain a table, it is much safer and cheaper to use SE16 / Sm30 than re-invent them and hardcode the table name.

  • Retrieval of Mail Id's present in Distribution lists which has got deleted!

    Hi All,
We are facing a problem regarding the deletion of distribution lists (reason not known) and they were retrieved from the trash folder in SBWP (SAP Business Work Place - the SAP inbox). But there was no trace to go back and look who deleted it and what all distribution lists were deleted. We can retrieve only when something is there in the trash folder. If not in trash folder, then itu2019s gone forever and we cannot retrieve.
So we have implemented two OSS notes. Now we are able to get the details i.e. the name of the distribution list as well as who has deleted it.
Now we need to find the mail Idu2019s present in distribution lists which has got deleted.
We have done some analysis but not able to do this.
So can anybody provide needful information.
    Regards,
    Sagar.

I also face the same problem: distribution list got deleted(reason unknown), you mentioned that you implemented 2 OSS note, can you kindly let me know what are the 2 OSS notes implemented?

  • How to send a broadcast message to public distribution list?

I set up a Pulic distribution list in Unity system, but what extension number should I dial to send a publick distribution list? What is the public distribution list number?
    Thanks for any input.

Log to Unity (press the Messages button and type your password). It will prompt you what is the button that you need to press to send a message (by default is 2), press that number, now it will prompt you to spell the name of the person or the distribution list. You can press ## (# key twice) to change to enter the extension.
If you go to the SAWEB and search for your Distribution List you will see that you can add and extension.
So by following the above instruction you can send a message by spelling the name of the DL or entering the extension of the DL.

  • Is it possible to Delete BP's from production system

    Hi All,
Is it possible to delete old BP numbers from production system?
if yes please let me know the procedure and impact on the system.
if no please let me know ,how to prevent user from entering old BP number into order.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    Shaik

    Hi Shaik,
You can delete the BP using transaction BUPA_DEL.
Just enter the number of the BP you want to delete and then execute.
Make sure that all the checkboxes on the selecton screen are clear.
In case the BP has dependencies and deletion is not alowed, you will get an error message informing you of the same.
    Best Regards,

  • Bulk deleting of payroll results in production

    Dear all,
I have run payroll for all employees into production as per client request, but now they want to delete all payroll results and again by maintaining few more details of employees they want to run payroll for all.
Kindly tell me what tcode or program i can use to do this, as I already tried few tcodes like RPUDEL20, RH_DELETE_STORED_PAYROLL_RSLTS & HR_DELETE_LEGACY_DATA_PAYROLL to delete records, but all these are not existing into the DEV, QUA, PRD.
Please suggest me some valuable solutions.
    Thanks & regards,
    N Verma

    Hi Verma,
PU01 is always better to Delete the payresults in the Production system.
If employees are huge in number, you have to go with BDC for PU01 tcode.
If employees  are small  in number we can use PU01 for each employee to delete the payroll results.
There would not be any negative effects by using PU01.

    Vsai.

  • Delete/Archive Plant in production system

    Hello All,
As per the Client Bussiness requirement, could anyone explain me how can i delete the plant code in production system.
as far as i know, i need to:
    close down all purchasing documents
    check the inventory
deassign the Pur Org, storage locations ETC.
it would be great if i get all the Standard steps suggest by SAP.
    regards
    prasad

    Hello Venkat,
As per the standard business functionality it is not advisable to delete the plant completely in database system.
Because you had lot of master data under plant creation ( E.g. - Material master , Physical inventory data, material document (GR/GI data) etc ) ..
So, If you are delete the plant code completely there is no past records for that existing master records.
So, It is advisable to do change the plant code name as " DO NOT USE - NAME (OR) BLOCKED - NAME ) in beginning plant name (SPRO settings) ..
For these plant code changes to Do Not use -prerequisite checking are
    1. There is Nill stock in MB52 -Stock Avl.
    2. MB5L Valuated inventory on GL  ( Nill inventory valuated )
    3. "MB5T In-transit inventory " There is no stock in transit movement and stocks
After checking these above pre-requisite please following this below step for plant deletion..
    1.  "OX10 Add ""DO NOT USE"" at the beginning of the plant name."
    2.  "OX17 Delete plant assignment to purchasing org"
    3.  "OVX6 Delete plant assignment to sales org"
    4.  "OMS2 Remove Qty/value updating by material type "
Hereafter your plant is completely deleted in your database..Without affecting any existing functionality in business process.
    Hope it would be useful..
    With Regards,
    Thiru

  • Promoting Changes of Distrbution model to production system

    Hi Experts,
There is need for changing the distribution model in production system, if we promote the distribution model from development system, we have to run BDLS to change the sender and partner names. But this requires down time of production system, which we dont want to take. And we cant run BDLS when the transaction are carrying out by users. Please suggest the best way to promote the changes of distribution model to production system..
    Cheers,
    Prasanna

The only other way I can think of is make BD64 related table directly maintainable in Production so it will allow changes in Production system.
You can get the table names to update from your tranport request that you are planning to move to production.
I think thats the way systems are generally configured because of the Issues you are facing.
    Regards
    Shital

  • UC 7 - unable to delete distribution list

I've got this distribution list migrated over, which do not have any members, but am unable to delete it, and getting error this object is currently in use.
I enabled dependency records but unable to see anywhere I can access this functionality. How do I go about this one? please help.

I suspect if there is a dependency on it then deleting the DL from the CLI is not going to work either - the SA is essentially doing the same operation and the stored proc is likely returning that error.  You might get lucky and it's the SA doing a seperate/unnecessary check but I'm guessing that's not going to be the case and you'll see a similiar error in the CLI as you do in the SA.
Another approach is to see if you can find the dependency reference on the DL - it could be a bug (i.e. a bogus reference) or it could be a handler referencing it as a message recipient and/or a name lookup handler referencing it as a scope etc...
The easiest way to find references to an object is to use the CUDLI data viewer tool:
    http://www.ciscounitytools.com/Applications/CxN/CUDLI/CUDLI.html
Make sure to have it show all data instead of limiting to the top 100 rows as it does by default (a red flashing text will tell you this when you fire it up).  Find the ObjectID of the DL you're trying to delete and then use the "Find value in db tables" option under the File Menu.  Paste in the object ID and let it rip - it'll look in every column of every row of every table in the database looking for references to that objectId - if there's any in there, it'll take you to them.  If there are valid references to the list keeping it from being deleted, you'll find them.

  • How do you get past the product distribution list error on iMovie to download updates?

I am trying to set up a number of new computers at a school. They came with iLife already installed but when I try to do the updates I can not update IMovie because of an error that says the product has not been registered on the product distribution list. What do I need to do on all of these new computers so I can update iLife when needed?

They came with iLife already installed
Updates can only be installed from the same Apple ID that was used for the original purchase of the apps.

  • Delete authorization for distribution list

    Hi,
In our system all the distribution lists suddenly deleted and it was in the shared trash folder.
so we retrived from the folder.
To restrict the delete authorization of users for distribution lists  in the object S_OC_ROLE field OFFADMI ' Administrator' has been changed to ' '. But they were not able to create the the distribution list in the shared folder. they are able to create only in their private folder.
Is there any way to restrict the delete authorization alone.
    Thanks,
    Suganya

    Hi Stef,
Please try to add this authorisation object manually F_BKPF_BUK- Authorisation object for company code.
In the filed BUKRS you can maintain the company code as you required for the users.
I hope this may help you in resolving the issue.
    Thanks

  • Any way to not include the sender on their own email if they're in a distribution list?

    Howdy,
If my team has an email distribution list, and I need to email everyone else on the team, is there any way to set something so that the person sending the email doesn't get their own email back if they are on the list they are sending to?
Currently, if I send an email to our "IT" list, and I'm on the "IT" list, I get a copy of my own email sent back to me.  This seems silly to me.  I know I've used some program in the past that was smart enough not to do that
but I don't recall if Exchange/Outlook has the ability to not do that.
    Thanks.

An outlook rule or hub transport rule to delete messages sent from you should do it. In the old Exchange/Outlook days, it didnt do that, yes.

Well, I'd want to do this globally at our company, not just for myself.
I dont think there is any easy way to do that then.

  • Cannot email recreated dynamic distribution list NDR 5.1.1

We had an issue where we needed to change the location of the OU in a dynamic distribution groups that had moved from Exch 2003>2010>2013.  We couldn't do it so we recreated a new distribution group with the same SMTP address.  Now users
are getting 5.1.1 errors when trying to send an email to the distribution list.
    Here is the error:
    IMCEAEX-_o=Wa-Nee+20Community+20Schools_ou=First+20Administrative+20Group_cn=Recipients_cn=[email protected]
Remote Server returned '550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.ExRecipNotFound; not found'
I have found other posts that mention deleting the cached address in Outlook, but that has not solved my issue.  Further reading leads me to believe it might have something to do with the legacy DN, but I don't know what to do to fix the issue.

I convered it to this: X500:/o=Wa-Nee Community Schools/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=[email protected] and added as an X500 address in the newly created dynamic dist group, but I am still getting the NDR.
    IMCEAEX-_o=Wa-Nee+20Community+20Schools_ou=First+20Administrative+20Group_cn=Recipients_cn=[email protected] Remote Server returned '550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.ExRecipNotFound;
    not found'
That OU (First Administrative Group) isn't an OU I am using.  Is it possible that the legacy DN value is pointing to the old dynamic group location and I need to update to point to the new location of the distribution group?
