Sound Blaster and Z-5450 Which cable should i use.

Hi , i just bought an sound blaster and sound system z-5450 and i was woundering ... How should i connect(digital,analog)?them in order to get the best of both sound card and sound system ...
And How... cuz the sound blaster doesn't have an digital connection as far as i can see

Unfortunately, I could find nothing left on the Logitech site about the Z-5450, much less a copy of the manual.
I would use the 6-channel analog inputs. Did the speakers come with suitable cabling for that? Generally, (non-Creative) speakers and general audio equipment don't do any bass management for direct inputs, so you probably need to make sure that the soundcard's "bass redirection" feature is enabled, and the crossover frequency is set to match the speakers. It is also usually assumed that the subwoofer output is at full line-level, but the soundcard default is the Dolby LFE -0dB level. The soundcard has a +5dB setting which should take care of this, but it's usually possible to provide the extra 0-5dB of extra amplification needed for correct subwoofer balance via speaker system settings, and I think that is better if it can be done.
I'm also a proponent of running all the soundcard volumes at 00%, because this maximizes the digital SNR, and setting listening volume with the speaker system, which a remote makes handy. However, this can be percei'ved as less convenient and less intuiti've, so it's really a matter of personal choice.

Hi the firewire cable you mention is the one that i bought originally and it does not work with ipod video, the conection to my ipod with this cable is fine but the conection to the other end of the cable does not fit the charger, I checked the link that you both mention and it actually says that it is not compatable. The charger I bought says it works with ipod video thats why I am so confused to know what cable to buy and have made to mistakes already. Using time capsule model A1409 and trying to use it as only backup. Already have Verizon wireless router. Do not know which cable port to use in back of time capsule. And also it is asking for password. Have tried all of mine and it will not work.

I have a 2TB Timecapsule and really only use it for Time Machine backups. But the Wi-Fi side is used to sync my iPad at times.
Mine is wiredup thus;
Eth cable from iMac to modem (not the WAN port should you have one), then eth cable from modem to T/Cap in the WAN port (bottom port with an O sign above it)
I believe when its connected up you may have to set up a wireless network. Follow the instructions to set up Wi-Fi and Network
and then give it a password. The WiFi icon should appear in the menu bar where you can switch it on or off.
Its been sometime since I set it with the help of Apple Techs so I might be a bit rusty.

You could use Microsoft Office for Mac, but I would recommend iWork! It's a better set of applications for a much better price. I have used both and I prefer it over Office. And Pages can not only open Word documents, you can also save documents in Word format. My brother and I both used iWork as an Office substitute when we were in college (I graduated a few years ago and he just graduated last night) and haven't had any compatibility issues. An MBA is a portable while an iMac is a desktop and is not portable. You could install Windows on either provided each had sufficient memory installed and a large enough hard drive. The iMac is better equipped for this from the outset, but the MBA can be adequately configured if you are willing to spend the money to do so.

our company want to buy new computers for the developers.
We have to use Windows XP as our OS because of third party products.
We develop J2SE + J2EE.
So my question:
Which CPU should we use?
I searched at google but didn't found any usefull sides about benchmarking an J2SE VM or J2EE VM.
Intel or AMD?
Are there some issues to be regarded?
Is the behavior of the VM different if you use an Intel or an AMD? (X86)
Our AppServer is JBoss 3.2.3.
Has Intel ore AMD some magic improvements for the SUN Java VM?
Any answer would be appreciated.

Intel I would think Sun would have a white paper on this, but I've not
been able to find anything.
As I'm about to build a new system, and am looking at a dual processor

You will need a cable or adapter with a minidisplay connection for the MBP. That will be inserted in the Thunderbolt port. The other end is dependent upon the connections of the projector which you have not listed.
