The SB0680 cards used a chip emu0kx(a different kind of Li've chip),now Creative doesn't want to develop new driver for the Li've card ,which used the emu0k,so you still think Creative would give you a new driver for 64 Bit'sLook this:http://forums.creative.com/t5/Sound-...ie/td-p/544534?and know how "well" they treat their customer.( I?could ?been bad more or less,because of their attitude to their customer!)

Dev.: "External Sound Blaster 24 Bit Usb" - Driver downloaded from Creative Web Site
At the very beginning I tried the internal Sound Card (Realtek) to do karaoke in spare time, but couldn't hear anything coming from Microphone. So I tried to buy an external sound card. The result is the same.
On "Record Device" I can see the Microphone Device, the level is on top, when I speak in the microphone I can see the green bar light up, if I record my voice I can hear myself when I playback, but no sound in real time.
I read that a lot of people have similar problems, but everone solves in a different manner...
I tried:
- I read in other forums advices about to do something like unmute microphone on "Audio playback devices" >> "Speaker" >> "Levels", but I don't see any checkbox, I can see only Speaker Level Bar...
- As read in other websites, to add a registry key (something like EnableInputMonitor in a specific path), but nothing changes. I cannot find other Device, not in Playback Devices, and not in Record Devices.
Please help, all was great with the same microphone, on old Packard Bell Laptop, old Sound Blaster mp3+ usb, and old Windows Xp.
If no solution, I 'm going on buy an old laptop with Windows xp, or an external Mixer, but I'm disappointed on spending more money...

In order to keep the good behavior here (I`m really pissed off !) I just?want to tell you something (this is ESPECIALLY for all the guys from the stuff)?Before 2 days I`ve decided to buy a new sound system for my room. I bought myself Creative Inspire t600 5. surround system. Cool. I was very happy. I?needed only to buy a sound card?working with 5. because I have a notebook DELL INSPIRON 50 who has only 2 canals. So in order to be everything beautiful I gave $70 for Usb sound blaster 24-Bit external. And from that time the problems began. In short :? I was using Vista but I found out that it wont work with this soundcard. The first problem : Didn`t identify the device. I tried with several drivers... Nope. No sound card with Vista.(This problem seems to appearance with many owners like me)?I pluged the usb soundcard in my old pc running XP and it worked . PERFECTLY. So I removed Vista from my notebook and intalled XP. This took me whole day to rebuild all my software. Finally it left to set up the sound drivers. The cherry of the icecream. Aaaaand ..... **bleep**. When I play?any track it CRACKLES. Again problem appearanced with many here. I tried to find out here what is the problem but unfortunately as u can see my english is quite bad?so I cant understand?what I need.I really like Creative but if they cant manage this problem I will?no longer buy their stuffs??JUST PLEASE SOMEBODY ANSWER ME IS THERE ANY SOLUTION FOR THIS OR NOT. Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS and Logitech 5.1 Surround So

Hello everyone, this is my first post on these forums, so I thought I'd just start out by saying hello.
I also have a bit of a problem. For the past several months I've had a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS and a set of Logitech X-530 5. Surround Sound speakers hooked up to my computer. For a these past few months, only two of my speakers have been functionable.
I know they're not broken, because I can plug in separate cables into a certain plug and either my two front speakers will work, my two rear speakers will work, or my center speaker will work. And yes I do have the most recent drivers for my card. :P
If anyone would be able to help me with this problem, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
By the way, here's a picture of the X-530 Speakers I'm using, just in case anybody needs to see them for reference:

SB0680 (Sound Blaster 5.1) Driver Help on W7 64 Bit

I can't seem to find how to install that driver. :S I have been searching and searching over the internet for that driver. Can this card be verified on W7 64 bit's If not, is there like a trick or something?

Sound Blaster ZX mic muffled and low volume

Hey guys!
I'm having a bit of trouble with the microphone bundled with the ZX card. The ACM mic that is.
I'm not sure if it's the card or the mic, but my problem is that when recording or talking on Skype/TeamSpeak, my voice if very low (even tho I have all sliders maxed out) and it's muffled. It basically sounds like I'm talking in to a pillow.
If I connect the mic to the built-in Realtek crap on my motherboard, the sound recorded is sooo much clearer though.
I got to have both the volume and the mic boost maxed out in the Sound Blaster control panel to even hear myself at all. If I turn the noise reduction off the sound gets a bit clearer, but the static noise gets so bad it's unbearable.
Is my card faulty or is this a driver issue?

I have exactly the same problem. On Teamspeak my friends were complaining that I was barely audible and sounded muffled/distorted. I tried plugging my logitech desktop mic into the soundblaster, but this didn't solve the issue - so I presume the problem is not with the ACM mic. I also tried playing with the settings in the control panel, but this had little effect. Increasing the boost to 30db improves it slightly, but then the mc also starts picking up my fans and even movement from the headphone cable. Possibly a driver issue???
Like you I have had to resort to plugging my microphone into the onboard sound card.

Both Sound Blaster Live 5.1 and Integrated Sound Card Does Not W

Hi! I just installed a new mother board and cpu. Its an ECS 755-A2 mother board with a 3200+ AMD Sempron/64-bit CPU. It's not the best, but i was trying to save money.Before, I had a soyo and a 2800+ AMD Athlon XP and i had the Sound Blaster Li've 5.. Now with this ECS mb, the sound card doesn't get detected anymore, even in device manager. I downloaded the new driver for the Sound Blaster Li've 5. from their official website and when I came to install it... it said that there were no Sound Blaster cards detected on my computer even though it was securely pushed in IN a pci slot!!Then I decided that I don't need sound blaster so i installed the driver for the integrated sound card on my mb (realtek AC-97) and everything LOOKS fine according to their program and the control panel (sound and audio options) but i dont receive any sound from anything at all. I was planning on buying a NEW sound card but then i decided to test this Sound Blaster Li've 5. on my bro's computer. Ironically, it was detected on his .2 ghz AMD Athlon Thunderbird and now i'm puzzled as why it wasn't detected on mine.What solutions have I tried?I installed numerous drivers for both the sound blaster and the integrated sound card repeatedly and there wasn't any hope. If you had change the motherboard then I suggest you format your harddisk and start from a fresh install of the OS and not just reinstall the OS.

Sound Blaster Audigy SE Driver Prob

I have a problem with Sound Blaster Audigy SE,
Im using newest from creative download site SBA_PCDRV_LB__04_006.exe drivers.
After I turn on a game like ut2004, fear combat, even dxdiag (sound test) or pause sound in music/movie player system stops reacting or process "System" uses 95-00% of my CPU.
After few tests I discovered with help of KrView (kernel view soft) that p7filt.sys uses such big ammount of cpu If in Speaker Settings, Bass Redirection and Subwoofer Gain (+5) is turned on. (5. speakers)
I installed a bit diffrent version of drivers (from cd and even later I tested SBSE7_XP_Jul2005 additional driver). But then Subwoofer Gain option isnt working at all
its written Subwoofer Gain (+0) and with sub gain +0 sound quality very poor like in AC97 audio.
Ive also checked friends sound card on my pc and also i've tested exactly same thing on other computer.
I have xp sp2 with updates, newest bios, directX, etc etc...

OK..first of all the Audigy SE lacks any form of hardware acceleration, so turning on features like bass boosting/sound post-processing etc. will take away a lot of CPU time. The file you mentioned just acts as a software real-time filter, although it should not go up to the point of bringing a 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4 to its knees.
The sound quality will be altered even with every "DSP" effect (quoted because there's no actual hardware DSP, it's just emulated in software) set to 0, as long as the "DSP is considered acti've.
That's because the sound output is first converted from the time domain to the frequency domain (in poor words, the continuous sound wave you hear is broken down in many different frequencies like in those 80s ghettoblasters spectrum analyzers) because it's easier to amplify bass/treble that way, and then converted back to time domain (in even poorer words, a continuous sound wave you can hear/record/playback).
It's obvious that doing that thing in real time has a CPU cost, and even more obvious that the procedure is lossy and the input will not be the same as the output even with no effect applied, as long as the this double conversion takes place.
If you really need bass boost, turn any sound processing on the card OFF, and use speakers which have it. Also, if the CPU usage is abnormally high, try updated or a specific older version of the drivers that has more reasonable CPU usage/doesn't have that bug.

Can't install sound blaster wow headset driver for tap chat use

CIf you have winrar, winace, or 7-zip, or winzip on your system, right click the WOW driver executable you downloaded and extract it to a folder where you can easily find it. Once the file and its contents are unpacked, open that folder and run setup.exe.

Sound Blaster 5.1 Driv

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help with the drivers for my Sound Blaster 5.. Creative no longer offer any support and I was not given a cd when my card was installed. I have since had to reformat my computer and cannot find a copy anywhere.Rick

I am currently trying to get my computer back up and running due to massi've amounts of adware and such and low and behold I can't get my sound back due to lack of a driver database on the vendors website. And all I need is the ability to move the sound from digital to analog. (digital wires are another thing that seem to have been eaten by the moving monster). Main point is if a product is sold to the general public then the soft support should be there in the way of documentation and drivers.
I know this is a little off this subject bud moderator, could you please suggest to the IT folks not to include the members password in the verification email. This is a security matter, what if someon accidently added an extra letter or missed out on a letter in the email and the information goes to another email account. I know the individual is suppose to ensure that his/her email is correct but we are humans, and some of us stay up way too late running on will power and caffein, main point is we make mistakes. Well I wouldn't want my mistake going to another individual with my password attached... Don't think anyone else would either. So please make a heavy hint to remove the password in the verification email....

Sound blaster 24 bit external (cracking)

Hey guys, i've recently reinstalled my 24 bit sound blaster as i noticed there was an update to make it compatible with windows 7. It's kinda working fine but my front left speaker is cracking/sometimes not playing at all. Any suggestions?
Also when i do the surround test my front left speaker is VERY quiet compared to the rest. Thanks

Creative as an Audio Center to download for sb live 24 external soundcard, and they say this application restores the Line in monitoring function (that's what you want).
But it doesn't work!!!
I had the same issues and here is Creatives support team reply to my emails:
"Our Advance Support Group has confirmed that the Line in Monitoring
feature isn't supported under Vista with Live 24 Bit External.
Sorry for the inconvenience caused."
So my solution was to give up Windows Vista and install Windows XP on my laptop.

Problems with Sound Blaster Live! 1024 and Windows 2000 Profession

Hello everybody, and thank you since now for your help and support.
Please, forgive my english (I'm italian) not so good, but I hope you can understand me the same.
I have a Sound Blaster Li've! 024, and so far everything works fine with Windows 98 SE, but lately I have installed Windows 2000 Professional on my PC, and now nothing works.
Nothing, neither the softwares, they don't even start!
Here is what I tried so far:
- First, I tried to install the old version of the programs, the ones that I had in the CD-ROM when I bought the sound card. At this point, I couldn't even uninstall the softwares!
- Then, I tried to update the drivers, but it seems that they're already updated when you install Win2000, and the uninstallation didn't works yet.
- At last, I have downloaded the new software pack, Li'veDrvUni-Pack.exe, but nothing even so. But with this, at least, I was able to uninstall everything from the PC (even if not perfectly).
- Today, I tried to install only the new pack, Li'veDrvUni-Pack.exe, but still nothing works. When I start running the program (e.g. AudioHQ), I can see the hourglass for few seconds and then everything aborts.
Please, help me! What can I do? I really don't want to buy a new sound card, even because my SB Li've! 024 works perfectly until now.

i have Sound Blaster Li've! 024 , and Vista, and sound is totaly s*it or not working.. but, you can install drivers from Russians and all will work fine with good quality!

does anyone know if creative dropped support for sound blaster li've ls,because they did list it on their driver page,but they don't now?
