Sound impruvement for noteb

i own a notebook HP dv6345us and i wold like to install a soundcard in it, so i can plug a logitech z-5500 in it. Then the problems is that im not quite sure of wich of the following SOUND CARDS is the proper one for it:
Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook
USB Sound Blaster li've! 24-bit External
PCMCIA Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Notebook
can you guy give me a hand here ?
in case i deside to buy "X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook" is there a need for me to buy "Surround Sound Upgrade Kit for ExpressCard Sound Blaster" or not?

If your integrated audio system already has?an optical (or coaxial) output?available then you don't need additional card?for audio ...but if you?want some gaming features too then, just pick a card with optical output rather than coaxial. If?you prefer to use D/A Converters of?Z-5500 speaker system (which ones maybe?aren't the best ones available) then,?it would be best if you choose a device that has optical S/PDIF output available). If you like to get a device with 6-8 analog outputs and use it's D/A Converters (which ones may be better that those in Z-5500) then, those "X-Fi XA NB" and "A2z NB" are ~same cards. Li've 24-bit Ext is ~same too. Hello *brilliant* Toshiba community,
I have recently upgraded my Qosmio X500-10T from 64-bit Windows 7 to 64-bit Windows 8.1.
I have left Windows to download driver updates.
My setup: Qosmio (HDMI) => Yamaha AV receiver (HDMI) => Samsun LCD TV.
_The Problem:_ Playing a video file (in MPC-HC) with 5.1 sound only outputs 2 channel PCM.
Would it be better to install the Win 7 drivers from Toshiba even though they are older and for a different OS, or install windows 8.1 drivers from another Qosmio, or leave the Win 8.1 drivers found by Microsoft?
This driver issue is made more problematic as I don't actually know what the technical hardware components are in the machine so its not as though I can find a win 8 driver for them.
As always any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

From my knowledge the Win 7 drivers are totally different from Win 8.1 drivers and I doubt that Win 7 driver would work properly on Windows 8.1 system. However, you can test such Win 7 drivers too. But of course I would recommend you to use the Win 8.1 drivers released for other notebook series.
As Im not mistaken the Qosmio X500 needs 2 sound drivers: Conexant (chip CX20583-10Z) sound driver as well as the nVidia sound driver (for HDMI)

This will create a swsetup folder in c drive ("C:\swsetup\sp34200")
Installing Audio drivers may result in an error. But continue with the following steps to get the audio driver installed correctly.
Open the Device Manager:
1. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
2. Right click on "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" and click Update driver.
3. Select "Install from a list or specific location"
4. Click Next. Then select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install"
5. Click Next and then select "Sound, video and game controller" from the list.
6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.
7. Click Browse C:\swsetup\sp34200 folder and select the .inf (wis30b2a) file and click open and Continue with the onscreen instructions.

You can't:
1. iPhone sound output is stereo, not Dolby 5.1 compatible.
2. iPhones do not connect sound output by standard USB. The connecting device has to be iPhone compatible.

To the best of my knowledge, Windows is not capable of setting a specific sound card based on the app being used, it's all or nothing.
Try a google search or search the Microsoft site.

I have had this same problem for weeks now with my 4S. I just got a new 5S after being extremely frustrated and the same thing - no sounds. After searching posts all over, I couldn't find a solution. I just told my friend of the issue and he asked "Do you have the Do Not Distrub on?" I didn't even know such a function existed. Upon looking that was exactly the issue.
To resolve, go to Settings> Do Not Disturb> Manual. If it is green, turn it off. You will now get phone calls and text alerts.
This functionality is also on your quick access utility menu (slide up menu). I assume this is how it was enabled on my phone.

I have a nearly identical problem with my Ipad 3. Mine is the left channel. I've yet to find help, but have found a number of other posts on this and other forums discussing the issue. People have tried restore, reset etc. Also, cleaning the ports with compressed air or cotton swabs. It appears to be a software issue, but no one is sure.
Along with the original poster, I'd appreciate any help.

Need sound drivers for a Pavillion dv8309us running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-Bit OS. I'm getting "no audio output device is installed" error after trying various different drivers. Sometimes the driver will install and I'll reboot, but to no avail I end up with the same error and a red X over the speaker in the system tray. I've tried Realtek drivers and Conexant drivers from HP. When I run Windows upgrade advisor it recognizes the problem, but Microsoft doesn't offer a compatible driver. At this point I'm very desperate considering everything else works fine and I don't want to go back too XP Media Center. If there is anything you can do to help, it would be greatly appreciated. I do believe that the ability for your Apple TV to airplay audio to external devices was added just in the most recent update, that was released when iOS 6 was released if I'm correct, so there might not be any that specifically mention that yet.
Since it uses AirPlay I'd assume any AirPlay compatible speaker would work, but I would look into it more before spending your money, just in case.

The Griffin Technology FireWave will give you the 3 'cables' ("FireWave outputs six channel audio through three 1/8” (3.5mm) stereo mini-jacks: Left/Right, Center/Subwoofer and Right Surround/Left Surround.") connection for surround sound (speakers) audio. Whether or not a particular headphone set is compatible, you might ask Griffin directly about that. If you're playing a DVD with VLC or the Apple DVD Player, you will get surround sound. But, you'd have to find an MP3 with multi-channel audio inside it to play surround sound out of iTunes.

Music and sounds folders not appearing under "music and sounds" tab for approx 5 min after launch

So every time I launch fcpx, under the "music and sounds" tab, all that is appearing is my iTunes folder, with the other folders (iLife sounds, FCP sound effects, etc) not appearing for about 5 min or so...anyone else experiencing this? Is there a fix?

Nothing ever shows up under the "Music and Sounds" tab for me. I can wait an hour and nothing "appears." The dropdown menu is blank and can never be used to select anything: It remains blank.
I've deleted preferences, rebooted, logged-in as a different user and reinstalled the application. None of that has made the "Music and Sound" section work.
If I drag a folder to the top area (after pulling down the gray bar) the icon changes to show a green plus sign and the top area is outlined with green. After dropping the folder nothing happens; it does not appear in the list. I've tried several different folders from iTunes and other locations, all to no avail.
