Sound to occur on mouse click?

Sound to occur on mouse click? Thanks again. (example 3
second gun shot. Must stop after only one play and not
loop.)

Go to Control Panel, and open the properties for Sounds And
Audio Devices. In there look for Start Navigation. For the sound,
select None.

  • Modifying default Project Properties? (Mouse click sound, etc.)

Am I able to configure default properties?
E.g. On every slide of every software demo I create, I have to change the following:
    - Slide quality - High
    - Highlight Box timing - Rest of slide.
    - Mouse click sound - Custom
    - Show mouse click - Custom
    - etc.
Obviously, this is the most time consuming process and it increases my time investment 20-fold.
Have I overlooked something? Google & searching has been no help...which makes me feel like I'm the only one with the problem...which leads me to believe I'm doing something wrong!

If you open the Edit >  Preferences dialog without having any project open, then go to Defaults > Object Defaults, you can set up some of the things you want.  For example, you can change the default duration of highlight boxes.  But this doesn't allow you to configure the mouse or slide settings the way you want for all projects.
I think your best option is just to set up a Captivate template with all the slides done the way you want and use that to initiate each project.

  • No more mouse click sounds for buttons on Captivate 5

I have been working on a project that uses buttons and click boxes.  Previously the mouse click played when the button was selected, but now there is no mouse click sound when selecting the button.  When closing the application I see a message that pops up saying "Discovering Unreachable Audio".
I also tried to create a new project with buttons and the mouse click still does not play.
I double checked in the properties for the button and the box for "Disable Click Sound" is NOT checked, so I know that this is not the problem.
I am using Windows XP SP3.
Any advice on how to correct this is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

Did you ever find a solution to this?  I am having the same trouble.  The mouse click will not play despite the fact it is selected.  Some mouse clicks will play so I don't know what the issue is.  Also if I change it to a custom mouse click it the sound will play.

  • How do I adjust the system sounds(keyboard and mouse click) in the audio for a software simulation?

Mouse clicks and keyboard strokes very loud in software simulation, but voice is low. I am using Captivate 7

Indeed, I would increase the volume of the voice-over. There is a keystroke sound effect within the C:/Program Files/Adobe/Captivate 7/Gallery/Sound Effects folder, but I'm not sure if that one is directly related to the sound effect used by default.

  • CP 6 Video mode: mouse click effects, keyboard tap sounds

    CP 6 capturing Video mode
How do I set mouse click effects and keyboard tap sounds?
Of course these settings surely cannot be set on a per slide basis as video mode does not have slides but why I'm not able to set them on a project basis?
    thanks

Video mode is pure video. You can change some properties of the mouse (Choose Edit, Edit Mouse Points and when selecting one of the mouse objects look in its Properties panel, Options accordion. This accordion has the small curved arrow top right that you can use to apply the changes to all mouse objects.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'keyboard tap sounds' at all? There is no way to add an interactive object, where you would be able to click, so what is the meaning of taps in that case?

  • Reduce Volume of Mouse Click Sound

Any way to easliy reduce the volumne of the clickk sound from the mouse without recording a new mouse sound?

Easy way...no.  What I had to do was edit the actual sound files for the single and double clicks.  The files are mp3's and are located in:
Adobe Captivate 5 --> Gallery --> Mouse --> Click Sounds
You can open the mp3's in any simple wave/audio editor, select the waveform, and decrease the volume.  I brought mine down about 3 decibels.
However, keep in mind this will decrease the volume for every project you do, not just the one you are working on.
    Hope this Helps.

  • CP - Mouse click sound

    Hi All,
I am learning how to use captivate and have created a video, I want the mouse click sound, but I can't get it to work.
Can you give me any pointers please?
    Thanks

    Hi KeithJohnson
Sure, just double-click the mouse object in either the
Timeline or on your slide. There on the Options tab is an option to
    assign the click sound.
    Cheers... Rick

  • How do I globally uncheck the property "mouse click sounds" under the captions section

I am doing software simulation and it produces a large number of slides. I want to remove the mouse click sounds. Is there another way to do that other than
select each and every slide and uncheck the "Mouse Click Sound" checkbox?
Adobe you need to provide that option in preferences!

So I tried it...here are the screen shot. I do have the updated Captivate 7....So you can see they are selected and I used the timeline to bring up the mouse clicks box.
I then unchecked the the 'Mouse Click Box'
I clicked on the slide...and this may be where it goes wrong. I did try to exit by hitting Enter, but that didn't work. I had to click somewhere on the project.
Here you can see that slide 2 has the "Mouse Click Sound" box still checked.
Sweet dreams to all ....it can wait until Monday, unless anyone else who is not sleeping wants to chime in

  • Mouse clicking issues

For the last 2 weeks or so I all of a sudden have mouse clicking issues on a 2009 iMac. The mouse (I have tried 3 different ones from apple and Logitech) seem to be able to open files etc. on a click. I have to click repeatedly to get it done. When I run the disc utility it mostly goes away. Now, I run the disc repair every morning to make it go away. Annoying. I have seen other people having similar issues - it sounds like a OS issue????

This same scenario has happened to me sporadically over the past few months and seems to be increasing. I have the Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks. Got it 3 years ago for use with my G4 PowerBook (1.5 GHz, 2 GB RAM, OS 10.4.8). First I thought it was the batteries, but then realized that if I'd just wait a few minutes the problem would usually go away. Nothing new electrical on my desk that would cause it. Gets really annoying. The mouse becomes sluggish and the clicks are non responsive (a right click will open a sub-menu window, but then no other clicks work. Trying to move the mouse around on the screen gives spotty results - stops and starts - as if I'm moving it on a reflective surface. After multiple clicks the window goes away. I can disconnect the USB transmitter and have complete control with the mousepad.
Sometimes the problem won't occur all day long. Other times it comes and goes multiple times during an hour. A restart will usually get it out of that overly annoying loop.
I bought a new Logitech Mouse a few days ago, thinking mine was wearing out, but the same thing happened within minutes.
I can only think there's some conflict with an OSX update. VERY frustrating. I don't want to go back to a wired mouse.
So I, too, am eager for a solution.
    Thanks,

  • Diable "open dialog box" on right mouse click so I can use l mouse to advance to next slide and r mouse click to "go back."  How in PP 2010 for mac????

I do presentations in PP10.  I am new to macair, and used to Windows.  HOW DO I DISABLE THE "OPEN DIALOG BOX ON RIGHT CLICK"?  I would like to use L mouse to advance slide, and R mouse to go back.  The default is to use R mouse to open dialog box.  I can disable this by unchecking the box in "advanced" on the PC.  How do I do it with the Mac????

    Hi Rod,
As originally stated in my opening post, the SWF is to be inserted into an Articulate '13 slide (what I called an aggregator originally - I tried not to bring them up since I don't want the chatter about "There's your problem - using Articulate"! ).
Recall that posting this published file to our LMS did not allow right-mouse click functionality as the flash player menu just gets in the way.
If I insert the captivate 6 files into Articulate as a Web Object (referencing the entire folder with html, htm and assets, and then posted to our LMS, and it DOES allow RM click operations in both IE and FF (although no sound on the Captivate slide in FF). But this is not what we want to do as this introduces 2 navigation controls (the Captivate one and the Articulate Player).
Why must anything be posted to a web server for this functionality to work?
I am able to go into the Captivate 6's published folder, and launch the Captivate demonstration by simply double clicking on the index.html file and this works great in both FF and IE after changing the security settings for flash.
Again - I can not believe I am the only one out there trying to use the right-mouse click feature to do a software simulation by embedding the Captivate SWF into an Articulate '13 project.

  • Mouse clicks send app to crazy land

I have a multi-threaded app with two main windows. One is the data display / main user interface event handler. The other is a seperate window with nothing but the menu bar--basically categorized commands that may be executed independent of what the main user interface is doing. This way I can move the commands around, hide them, etc--they are seperate.
From the user interface I am running a script. At first the sub-vi that ran scripts was a modal 'Cancel' button to end the script and return to the user interface. The modal property kept the user from doing anything with the user-interface while the script was executing. Perfect. The problem is, it also kept the user from accessing the command window. So I changed the scri
pt from a modal dialog box to a non-modal pop-up window that i set to Always-on-Top. This allows access to the command window and keeps the 'Cancel' button on top so it won't disappear behind the user interface if the main window gets clicked. Also, the user interface remains locked out because the script sub-vi is called from the user interface event handler.
The problem I have is that clicking on the main user interface (for example, selecting a different tab to view) while the 'Cancel' button dialog box is visible, does nothing. When the dialog box exits however, all of the clicks done previously (which you'd think would have been forgotten), get propogated. The application goes haywire momentarily trying to change and update things. If you clicked five different tabs while the dialog box was open, it would do nothing, then all of a sudden (when the dialog box exits), flip rapidly between the five different tabs selected, as fast as possible.
Is there any way to cancel
or ignore these mouse click events that get sent to the main user interface? Is this a problem with the windows Always-on-Top setting?

This is certainly occuring because of the "Always on Top" selection. However, there is one option you have here. You could try using Dynamic Events. They're new to LabVIEW 7.0. You can actually unregister a particular event (tab changed) and have it only trigger when you want. For instance, you could unregister this right before the cancel window comes up. Then, if the user clicks the tabs, since this event is unregistered, they will not be tallied. Then, when you get back to that window, there will be no events stored up so nothing should happen.

  • Mouse clicks do not register

Over the past few weeks for no apparent reason mouse clicks will stop working on my Mac Pro. Generally speaking, clicking will work in the dock, system menu bar and sometimes a click on a background window of another application will bring to to the front. At other times clicking anywhere has zero effect.
The mouse moves around the screen fine otherwise. I generally use an Apple wireless trackpad but once this problem occurs it doesn't matter what input device I use - a wired mouse, my wireless Wacom tablet, etc. - the problem remains. I can tab around within an application, fill in text fields or open files using the keyboard. But even using screen share and taking control of the desktop from my laptop the problem remains: clicking of any kind does not work. So it's not the input devices or their connections.
On occasion I will hit command-option escape and force quit all applications and restart the finder and that will work. Other times not.The system remains responsive - no spinning beachballs etc. In the end I'm forced to restart the computer and everything returns to normal.
    Whats-a-going-on? Any ideas?

    Sorry, missed that...
My point remains the same: if your hard-wired devices are known good, then you have a intermittent problem that resides either in the OS or in hardware.  The nexts step are along the lines of reseating all the boards, running hardware tests, etc. to try to determine if it's hardware or software before re-installing the operating system.
The other option is to take it to an Apple qualified service guy. If you do that, I'd look for a Mac Pro specialist (someone who works on pro video or audio systems, etc) since most Apple Stores are mostly for iPads, not serious hardware.
    Good luck

  • Mouse clicks retina

Since upgrading to the latest 10.8.2 update, left mouse clicks via the track pad or usb mouse and the mouses position on screen are not recognized. to remedy the issue, I often have to open and close the laptop's display multiple times before the computer recogized position or left clicks. Right clicks are always recognized.
I do many presentations using my machine - this is super frustrating!
In addition, sometimes the mouse click will get stuck in the down position - regardless of mouse device plugged in.
So I unable to release objects that are being drag'n dropped. Browser windows especially.

I'm assuming you have already rebooted the unit at some point and tested. If you have then I would also look at resetting the SMC and testing again. If there is still a problem then I would test in a new user on the Mac and see if the issue ocurrs there also.
If it does then boot to your Recovery Partition and test it there. If none of this makes any difference then you may have to look at reinstalling the OS to see if that makes a change. It sounds HW based right now but it could quite conceivably be SW related as the issue only started after an update.
If you do end up reinstalling the OS then test it right away in 10.8 and make sure everything is fine. If it is then you could go online and manually download 10.8.1 and make sure it's fine there also. If it is again then I would possible avoid 10.8.2 as it would appear at that point that it was the cause of the issue.
If you do all of the above and even after the reinstall there is a problem then you would need to try erasing the HD and reinstalling. If after that there is still an issue then it is a HW problem and you will need to take the Mac into an Apple Store or Service Provider to get it serviced.

  • Mouse 'clicks' itself! Help!

    My Macbook's "mouse" clicks itself!
Sometimes when I'm typing, my Macbook's "mouse" will click itself and put the cursor wherever the mouse happens to be at the time. If it is behind it, it highlights everything I have already typed, and when I type the next letter, it all gets deleted. This is getting ridiculous. Help?
It is NOT set to "tap to click," it just sometimes randomly clicks itself.
I'm not the only one with this issue (someone over on Yahoo forums has the same).
    Help?

Hi loveistheonlyway and welcome to Apple Discussions!
It sounds very much like you have a hardware issue with your MacBook. If it is still under warranty or if you purchase an AppleCare Protection Plan, contact Apple (800-275-2273) and see about getting a repair set up. Alternatively you can carry the MacBook in to an Apple retail store for the repair. Be sure to [make an appointment|http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar> first as otherwise you may spend a long time waiting to talk to a Mac Genius.
You can do the same things if you are out of warranty, but you may have to pay for the repair.
    Best of luck.

  • Mouse clicks and keystrokes

When I edit mouse click in mouse properties, it
doesn't always make the sound when it's checked (ticked), and
sometimes makes a mouse click sound when it's not ticked. If you
run it through again, it often responds differently. The same thing
happens with keystroke sounds, though less frequently. Is this a
common problem, is it my computer, or is there some way of fixing
    this problem?

Keyboard shortcuts were often missed.  For example, I tried this sequence many times.
0: (setup:  text editor is scrolled to first line and cursor is at the beginning of the first line)
1: Click on text editor window to focus it.
2: press SHIFT-DownArrow to move cursor down one line and select the first line
3: press CMD-X to cut the line.
Automator never would capture those key strokes.
But today I has a break through.  This sequence does work:
0: (setup:  text editor is scrolled to bottom of the file and the cursor is placed below the last line.)
1: Click on text editor window to focus it.
2: press SHIFT-UpArror to move cursor up one line and select the last line.
3: press CMD-X to cut the line.
about 70% of the time this did get recorded correctly (I did maybe 3 recordings and one failed to select).  Once it got recorded correctly it worked reliably.
So it seems to be able to capture some sequences but not others.  Both sequences work very reliably when I type them but automator can only capture the last sequence.
Thanks for the suggestions.  This tool is better than nothing but not anything I would recommend.
