Spam on IPad?

How can one block and or designate unwanted Spam On the IPad?  Bulk mail is overloaded with Spam.

You can try accessing your e-mail account via safari and any webmail service they may have. There may be options there that you can use to block the spam.
The iPad mail app does not have a 'mark as spam' feature and it's unlikely that it'll ever have it due to how different e-mail providers configure their services. You need to go to your provider using another way - safari and webmail or via a computer - to see what you can access.

  • How do you filter Spam from iPad mail?

I have an iPad 2 with both POP 3 and Exchange accounts. Is there a way to block spam from showing up on my iPad?

To block spam from showing up on your iPad requires the process being done at the incoming mail server level.
The iPad's Mail app does not include a junk mail filter which would not prevent spam from showing up on your iPad if it were available.

  • Filtering spam on iPad

Is there a spam filter on the iPad email? The email seems to be skipping spam detection coming to the iPad.
    Thanks

    Hello,
On my PC with Outlook i can create 2 reception boxes, one for people i allowed, one for other i did not allow yet.
Then, spam messages are easily filtered and i can delete them all with one clic. And important messages are not mixed with hundreds of spams.
Is that possible to do the same with iPad mail features. I did not find anything to do that in features menu
I am surprised because it is obvious and essential feature...

  • Wrong positive spam on ipad

How can I tell apple that mails in my ipad junk folder are NOT spam, and how to avoid this in the future. It is more than enojing not to get electronic invoices and then have to pay extra cost for delayed payment - can I send these extra invoice to apple?
Explaining articles are for mac only but do not work for ipads.

Sorry, I did not tell about the app. It is the genuine bulit in mail with an account on me.com (icloud.com). The junk folder is created by this account automatically, and I  cannot delete it. Once a wrong positive mail is selected there is no way to mark it as wrong positive, so this wrong verdict is avoided for that sender in the future, nor is there any other way to send it back to the SP (apple) to inform him about wrong filter settings and to coreect it.
Spam filtering is o.k. But I hate when other people evaluate my mails without telling me nor giving me the chance to correct and manage this myself.
    Thanks anyway for your reply.

  • HT3228 Please let me know how to avoid receiving the spam into my email accounts on the iPad.  It is very annoying! My server puts it in the spam folder...why do I get it on the iPad?    Is it avoidable and how?

You actually cannot do anything to your ipad when its locked but look at pictures the time and date, you need to restore it, and if it dosent let you restore, good luck chuck Heres how to restore it: Okay, i only know the itunes way soz, lol. Try to connect your ipad to itunes, if it does let you then you should be able to select the device you have in the corner somewhere, once you do that you should see a screen that looks sort of like your ipads setting, you should have a button that says "Restore" click that and your ipad should be restored. If that dosent work you should try going to your regular office depot or something. Good Luck!

  • How can I stop Spam reaching my iPad?

Could anybody help me stop spam reaching my iPad? We can filter and "junk" mail on the mac but how can you do this on the iPad? ( and iPhone for that matter). Would be grateful for advice. I have found an app called iSpamDrain that may help but am not entirely comfortable with the fact it seems to be cloud based and you have to give them your email password.

I have found what looks like a promising service to try and stop spam, it is http://www.spamcop.net/ces/pricing.shtml
I wonder if anybody else has any experience of it?

  • How can I get spam mail sent straight to trash on my iPad and iPhone.  Have managed to set rules on my iMac but not the rest.

How can I set up rules to get spam emails sent straight to my trash when I am using an iPhone4S or iPad3?  Have managed to do this on my iMac but can't see a way to do it on the other devices.  Getting about 50 a day recently using my email address but not my name in the messages - no idea why this has started but it is annoying!!

You cannot set rules on the iPad or the iPhone for mail. The only thing that you can do is to filter spam mail in your webmail settings using a web browser. The rules that set up in the mail app on the Mac do not sync across devices, those are rules for inside the mail client itself on the Mac.

  • Is there a way to control spam on my iPad?

    Hi all,
I'm being bombed one a minute at the moment - last 2 days. Don't know how or why. contacted my ISP - no real help there except thy asked me to forward a sample to and spam databse URL. Have put filters on my macbook pro and its OK. Ipad is choked??? Should I sync or not sync? The rules I have in place are to move email with a certain subject to spam folder, and delete - this is working well on my macbook pro. Shouldn't the action of delting the email then be "seen" by the ipad??? Have tried syncing and not syncing that particular emaill account that is being affected. Any suggestions???
    cheers
    Steve

Yes I have been using my ISP's web mail  for a couple hours and it does have a kind of spam control - very basic no rules. you just click a box for each email and then a button marked spam. There are no way to create rules for spam. I have been manually marking mails that come in. This does fix the problem, but its not a solution if it has to be done manually. I
will contact the ISP tomorrow and have it escalated - and hopefully a filter csn be done on the mail server. Never had anything like this in 18 years on the net????
i've been wracking my brain rying to figure out where this has all started - twitter is the culprit.

  • I am new to ipads. How do I set up my ipad to reject/block spam

I am not computer literate and I just got a ipad for my birthday. I can block out advertising and other spam type of emails on my computer but am at a loss on how to do that on the ipad (mini). Can somebody advise if, and how to, as the manual does not appear to cover this issue or if it does, I fail to understand it.

The filtering is done on the Mail server and not on the iPad.

  • TS3899 How do I send a "spam" email as an attachment to iCloud using my iPad or iPhone

ICloud directs you to send spam email as an attachment in an email to [email protected] I have no problem doing that on my MacBook Pro but cannot find "message=>forward As Attachment" from the menu bar on my iPhone or iPad. Can anyone direct me?

That only forwards the email exactly as you see it in letter form. icloud wants it sent as an attachment to an email.  Thanks for answering me.

  • I have a laptop with microsoft outlook for work emails, and an ipad (with IOS 7.1) and an i-phone with ios 7.0.6 currently. Since about 2 weeks ago, I now get all spam emails coming to my aple device inbox.

In other words, my outlook email account correctly identifies spam email and places it automatically into my spam inbox on outlook, but with my iphone and ipad, all the apm emails as well as my "good" emails are coming into my inboxes on my apple devices. In other words, they are not correctly synconising with my outlook inbox? They have all worked happily in tandem for a few years, but recently, they have stopped synchronising incoming email and I now get hundreds of spam email downloading onto my apple devices where as before this didn't happen. Any explanations? solutions?

  • Spam email via my iPhone and iPad

Hi - trying to find a fix to this problem. Even though I have my email filters set up on both my computer and on my verizon.net account, I am getting spam via my email on both my iPad and iPhone. This spam never makes it into my home mail account or appears in my email box in the verizon.net portal, yet i can't seem to stop it from coming into my devices. Any ideas on how to get around this? Thanks.

Your Verizon email comes from the Verizon servers, so spam filters on one device (i.e your computer) won't have any effect on another device (i.e. your iPad/iPhone).
Spam filters set up within your verizon.net account (i.e. the Verizon servers) will cover all devices that access your email.
Are you sure that your devices aren't set up with multiple email accounts?

  • Is it possible to block spams in Mail on iPad?

Is it possible to block spams in Mail on iPad?

There really is no spam filter on iPad.  One usually sets spam filters on the main mail server on either Mac or PC.  For example, my Yahoo spam does not appear in my Yahoo mailbox on iPad.  It does appear in the spam folder on Yahoo mail on my PC.
