Speakerphone problem on 4S

On 4S, when I select the speaker icon in the phone app people can't hear my voice. When I turn it off they can hear me again. Bug??

Mine has what might be the exact same problem. If I dial out, I can only hear my own voice. If I engage speakerphone then I hear the other person. When I toggle speakerphone off I can then hear them through the phone as normal. If I hang up and call again I have to repeate the process (toggling speakerphone on and off).
I spent 45 minutes on telus tech support. I'm heading to the store now and if they say I have to send it back to apple (bought it yesterday) I will not be a happy customer. Or if they waste another 45 minutes debugging the problem.

We checked it with an iPhone 5 in house multiple times and could not reproduce this Problem. Must be something specific to your device. Maybe your speakerphone volume is turned down completely?

IPhone speakerphone problem

When i make/recieve a call, iPhone works properly, but when i press speakerphone button, i can hear the other side, but they can't hear me.When i turn speakerphone off again, the phone works properly.What's happened?

i have the same exact, problem.. everything works fine on my phone except when i hit speakerphone, the call cuts off and the phone loses service for anywhere from 10 seconds to several minutes. About half the time the speaker screeches a very loud annoying noise until the call disconnects a few laggy seconds later....i have tried restore but no avail...my phone was jailbroken before tho, and one day just stopped having service 98% of the time, and the speakerphone stopped working then too. so after a week of getting 50 text messages all at once every half hour i did a restore which erased the jailbreak, fixed the bad service problem, but speakerphone still triggers this reaction...anybody know why or how to fix it?

N8 Speakerphone problem

Q10 Software 10.2.1.537, Application Sound and Speakerphone Problem

Several days after I updated my BB Q10 with 10.2.1.537 Software Release, I experienced two problems:
a. when I make or receive phone call, the Speakerphone mode is always turned ON automatically. I cannot turn it OFF. So I cannot make phone conversation in private.
b. the applications' sound becomes very small.
Ex: sounds from receiving email, BBM, SMS messages. Reminder sound from calendar
Exception: only Alarm application sound is still normal
After I reboot the phone, the applications' sound becomes normal. But as soon as I make or receive phone call, the applications' sound becomes very small again.
I have performed Reload Device Software with Blackberry Link, install the latest 10.2.1.537 Software Release, and restore the backup file. Same problems still persist.
Please advice how to fix these problems.

My Q10 has a similar problem that seems to happen only when driving over 40 Kph. sound cuts in and out, whether i am on speaker phone, earphone or blue tooth. I've gotten a replacement Q10 and its doing the same. Any solutions?

Lumia 1020 speakerphone problem

Hi,
Really enjoying my Lumia 1020 but have one problem with it. When I'm on a call and switch to speakerphone, the other person cannot hear me.
I don't have Bluetooth or any other device connected to the phone when doing this.
I have read that this might be a hardware issue?

Welcome to the world of Nokia Lumia and Windows Phone 8.
Nokia have a habit of "ignoring" known issues (i.e., pretending they don't exist) and then resolving the issue quietly on a software update. They did this with HERE Drive + where early editions of 8 on Lumia 820 and 920 couldn't get a GPS fix when navigating.
There is a definite issue with the hands-free mic which is well highlighted by users on this thread. Hundred of posts appear about this mic issue on 925 and 1020 phones specifically. This issue started with the latest version of Black, and continues unabated. Nokia are swapping hardware where appropriate, but ultimately it is a genuine software issue.
I have tried all the fixes suggested on multiple sites (some have had success by changing Speech Language to another version, for example English (United States), but in reality it's a matter of waiting until the next software release. It is such a pity given how good these phones are (ex iPhone user, and I am on my 3rd Lumia. I've had the 920, 925 and recently got the 1020). I believe that 8.1 will change the game, and so I am going to keep tolerating Nokia's approach for the time being as I can't bear IOS and the small-screen offerings from Apple currently.

Has there been a fix for the speakerphone problem?

I recently had to return two N97 handsets due to the fact that the speakerphone on the handsets worked poorly. Contacts I called using speakerphone repeatedly told me I was "breaking up." Speakerphone volume was also mediocre, compared to other N series handsets I have owned. When the problem occured with the second handset I settled on returning the phone and waiting until I knew more about the problem and whether Nokia was aware of it and preparing a fix for it. I no longer own the phone and have gone back to using my trusty and very excellent, but old N958GB.
Can someone/anyone tell me whether this particular bug on this handset has even been identified by Nokia and whether it has been fixed? Is the problem with the speakerphone a software issue or is this a hardware/mic/factory issue? If this is an isolated problem and it was simply a "bad batch" I would be prepared to buy the phone agan, but based on my reading on this forum, this is not a completely isolated problem.
Basically, I'm waiting to find out whether (a) Nokia knows this is a problem, (b) it can be fixed via software upgrade, or (c) this is a design flaw with the handset that's not fixable remotely. Any help users can give would really be greatly appreciated, as I would love to purchase the phone and update my handset at long last.

Why is my 4s defaulting to speaker-phone everytime I dial

Not only does my phone insist on using speakerphone, but when the person answers the call, I can hear them but they can not hear me. If I re-boot the phone it will function normally. I might have to re-boot more than once. My phone is bone stock.

Come to think of it, the day it started was the first time I used the apple headphones. I tried using them again today and spent the next hour turning my phone on and off to make the speakerphone problem stop.
Must be the headphones because none of my apps were transferred and I've only plugged it in to the charger it came with, no other accessories or even a computer. I did find it interesting when I used a pair of non-apple headphones and dialed, the call never went through, no dialing message or ringing. I could only hear myself and my surroundings from the speakers.

About #4 at that Motorola link regarding Notification volume: does this also address the speakerphone volume? For instance, many people have trouble hearing the verbal Navigation directions while using Google Maps Navigator and VZ Navigator. Similarly, the voice prompts while using the voice commands app (or whatever it is called) are hard to hear if not impossible to understand - at least for many people.
So, many users who report a low volume ringer/notification problem also report a low speakerphone problem. Will increasing the notification volume automatically increase the speakerphone volume? If not, did Matt simply forget to mention the speakerphone or is Motorola indeed only increasing the volume of rings and notifications and not the functioning of the speakerphone?

What is error 310-410?

Since yesterday, my phone has been doing something crazy. It starts searching........then says NO SERVICE.....then 310-410 pops up and then it goes back to normal. In the mean time, I'm cut off during conversations and cannot get back to them quickly. It also pops straight to Speaker sometimes when I'm making a phone call and the person on the other end cannot hear me. It does it automatically. I have to either wait or turn my phone off and back on for it to work. Please help!

310-410 is not an error, it is the network identifier for the Cingular network in the US. There may be a local network outage; check with AT&T (which owns the Cingular network).
Don't know about the speakerphone problem. Is your phone jailbroken, perhaps?

I cannot hear callers unless using speakerphone. the phone is not on mute, the problem has started for no apparent reason and rebooting has not resolved the problem. Any ideas?

My iphone 4 (Model MD128B/A) running iOS 7.1.2 has developed a problem when receiving calls, for no apparent reason. The caller can hear me, but unless I switch to speakerphone, I cannot hear them. The mute button still functions normally. I have rebooted the phone but this has not resolved the issue. Any ideas about how to resolve this problem? Thanks.

I understand that you are unable to hear callers though the receiver on your iPhone 4 unless you change the sound to the speaker. In this situation, I would recommend reading over the attached article and verifying that the troubleshooting steps have been completed. If the issue continues, it may be necessary to follow the link towards the bottom of the article and contact Apple Support.

Jabra SP700 Speakerphone causing problems

My Jabra SP700 speakerphone is causing a problem with my iPhone 3GS. When I connect it in my car, the podcast I was listening too just starts over and doesn't pick up where I left off. Even if I'm actually playing the podcast and then connect the SP700 it jumps back to the beginning. This seems to have something to do with A2DP since the audio usually switches to the speakerphone instead of my car stereo.
Is there a way to disable A2DP?

Did you ever get a fix for this? I'm experiencing the same issue.

VM605 Visor Speakerphone - FM Transmitter problems

New member of the blackberry community. Recently purchased VM605 Visor speakerphone to work with my Bold 9780. Device works fine except that it will not transmit audio files through the FM transmitter. It will transmit phone calls through the stereo though. Kinda weird. Any thoughts? Thank you.

When I used pandora on mine, I had to select the VM 605 in pandoras options for the default output.

I have reset the phone clearing all the data and updated to the most recent software version available from itunes; and still no improvements. The results of my switching to a new phone would indicate a software issue.
Does anyone out there have this problem and how can it be fixed?

Try removing the screen protector that is covering the microphone.
Scratch that; wrong answer. I thought you meant you had trouble hearing.

Switching speakerphone to headset problem

I've had a lot of trouble switching from one to the other. I also use a Jabra headset and I notice when I have that active the menu comes up between the three to switch.
But on a call or voicemail, I've tapped on the "audio" button on the top right to no avail. No menu comes up to allow to switch between speakerphone and the built in handset receiver.
Imagine how crazy that is in midtown Manhattan. Desperately holding the speakerphone to your ear with the phone at an angle trying to hear.
This is a very strange problem and I've been at odds to fix it.

I had the same problem. I'm following through the Oracle 8i for Linux Starter Kit, by Steve Bobrowski.
After editing the initoralin.ora file and adding the mts_ parameters, I tried
sqlplus system/manager@oralin
and got
ERROR:
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name
I did a search for ORA-12154 and found a windows-related doc with a solution.
The answer was to add the following to $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/sqlnet.ora:
names.default_domain = x
where x is the same as the domain specified by the service_name.domain parameter in the tnsnames.ora file in the same directory.
