'SPROXY' - Multiple PI Systems connected to one ECC System for ABAP Proxies

Dear Experts
I am currently facing an issue when I want to connected multiple PI instances to one ECC client for
ABAP Proxy purposes.
In transaction 'SPROXY', in the Enterprise Service Brower, only one PI instance is shown and accessable.
Can this setting be changed to allow multiple PI systems in this Enterprise Service Browser?
Thanks for your ideas.
Mathias

  • Two SCM Systems connected to one ERP System

    Hello Experts,
Here again I got a doubt.
Is it technically possible to connect two SCM Systems via CIF to one ERP System?
Because I heard that we could connect more than one ERP System to one SCM System, but not vice versa.
If you have seen a system in production like this, what are the pros and cons of having such a scenario?
    Expecting your valuable replies!
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Suresh

    Hi,
technically it's no problem to connect two or more SCM systems to the same ERP system. We have one for DP/ PP/DS, one for EWM and one for SNC connected to the same R/3 systems. You however might get problems with the bom explosion for planned orders being sent from SCM to R/3.
The bom explosion uses field MARC-APOKZ which is maintained automatically by CIF. If there are multiple SCM system using CIF for product master data the field might not be set up correctly and the bom explosion could be wrong.
As a solution SAP provided OSS note 1576703.
    Regards.

  • 2 system PLM setup question - Connecting to another ECC system for master data

I have been tasked with setting up the latest version of PLM in our environment.  We have a free standing PLM Server (ECC 6.0 EHP7, SP2 with PLMWUI 747, SP3) that we would like to connect to another ECC system (ECC 6.0 EHP5, SP4 with PLMWUI 701, SP4) for its master data.  In trolling around google and the marketplace, there isn't any setup guide or anything that really explains what the options are.  Does anyone know what the possible setup options are or even better provide links to documents that show how to set this up?  Can PLM be setup in the way that we want it to be?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Steve,
Unfortunately there isn't a lot of PLM documentation available.
I'm not sure I really understand what you need, but in essence, the PLM framework was developed using the SPI technology. That is, the Service Provider Infrastructure, which is a technology to split the UI from the business logic behind it. The idea is, in the end, you can have one single DB, connected to multiple systems and different types of UIs. (you can find some more details here: http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SPI/Home)
As far as I know, you have to do some customization in SPRO and maintain views /PLMB/V_RFC_DEST and /PLMB/V_RFC_LSYS. Everything else is done by the PLM framework via RFC connections.
    Hope this helps you...

Can some one tell me whether my distribution model or other settings are wrong?
I created 2 distribution model (BD64), one from SAP BW system and other from SAP BI system with message types RSRQST, RSINFO, RSSEND
    Thank you very much!

    Hi Holger.
this issue is related to the RFC but not the one which is communicating from BI to R/3 rather the one which is communicating from R/3 to BI follow these steps.
    1. check your BI system logical name from the myself source system.
    2. go the ECC and run the transaction sm59
    3. go the ABAP Connection folder and search for your RFC which name would be by default as per your BI logical system name.
    4. double click it and edit it now check whether the Target hostname or ip is OK.
    5. In the logon tab check the client number User and password settings.
Save it and test it with both Connection Test and Remote Logon.
if every thing work fine i hope your problem will be solved.
    kind regards,

  • ME 5.2 connection with two ECC systems

    Hi Sergiy/Experts,
Need to connect ME 5.2 system with two ECC & SCM systems for a scenario. Is it possible to connect?
During SAPMEINT standard interface we get connection credentials point for only one ECC system.
How I can meet the scenario for ECC system?
    will appreciate your help.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Yes, it is possible. See my answer here:
    http://scn.sap.com/message/14408145#14408145
There is a design limitation: plants must be unique across the different ERPs connected to the same SAPMEINT.

  • PO No range when we ink two SRM system with One ECC system

    Hello Experts,
We have a client requirement to link Two SRM Systems with One ECC system.
In this case what number range we need to maintain in both SRM systems for PO.
-The number range of ECC PO should get update whenver the PO is transferred from any of the two SRM system.
    -We have Extended classic scenario.
-Also PO Doc type is going to be same.
Can we handle this by increasing the buffer of the number range in one of the SRM system?
    Any idea...pls help urgently.
    Best Regards,
    Anil
    Edited by: anil.s.verma on Oct 1, 2010 4:33 PM

    Hello Anil,
Being in Extended Classic Scenario (leading PO being in SRM, R/3 PO number range is concidered as external because PO number is given by SRM), the only solution for you is to:
1- give same number range interval for PO (internal in SRM system 1 and SRM system 2, external number range in R/3), e.g. 3100000000 - 3199999999
2- in SRM system 2, fill in current number with (for example) 3159999999 and let empty (or current value) in SRM system 1
3- assign, in each system for your concerned transaction type, number range as internal in SRM and external in R/3.
In this way, you will avoid overlaping in R/3 between PO numbers coming from SRM system 1 and SRM system 2
    Regards.
    Laurent.

  • Two portals connected to one BW system

    Hello
Do you have any experience or just some information on the solutions when two portals are connected to one BW system? I am just wondering, is it possible?
    Thanks in advance,
    Arelis

We have done the same thing for ESS we had to portals connected to one r/3 but beaware when we change the config for one on the backend r/3 side the settings for the other is also affected.
there is no issue with the load in this scenario and applications work fine independently as well.
but before doing this just ask your self it is really required cant i create 2 differnt roles and manage the display of the same using the themes?
but still if u wan tot do the same it is possible

  • Roland UM-ONE  CD-ROM does not mount on iMac OS 10.8.2 Roland driver for 10.8 installed as directed. No power ready light shows when connecting UM-ONE. System Profiler shows it, but not configured. Older UM-1X works fine. UM-ONE works on Dell Windows XP.

    UM-ONE
Roland supplied CD-ROM does not mount or read by iMac OS 10.8.2, works with old TiBook and Dell laptop, however.
Got latest driver from RolandUS.com (um_1mx8d_v100), installed as directed.
No power ready light shows when connecting UM-ONE.
System Profile shows it there, but not configured.
With Audio MIDI Setup opened to MIDI Studio window, UM-ONE does not appear.
Tried many things without success. Tried swapping UM-1X (formerly on Dell laptop) with UM-ONE. UM-ONE installed and worked there without any issues. MIDI instrument communicates fine.
The UM-1X works without complaint and as expected when connected to any USB port on either the Dell or iMac, even a hub or keyboard port, just as it formerly had before changing operating systems, etc. It is old, but reliable.
Upshot is, for now, that UM-1X works with either the Dell or the iMac, but is currently attached to the iMac. UM-ONE (2011 model) only works with the Dell (Windows XP).

Same problem here! The only difference is that I'm using a MacBook pro 13 inch (2011)

  • Two GRC systems linking to one SAP system

    Hi,
I have a possible scenario where there are 2 GRC systems (for company 1 & company 2) connected to two seperate ECC6.0 systems.
Both companies are now looking to split out the HR element of their ECC6.0 systems and share a common HR system.
I am wondering what is the recommended approach to take for the GRC systems? I was thinking of creating a link from each GRC system to the new HR system.
However I am not sure how to deal with SPM- as this seems to have a one to one connection with the SAP system, meaning that only one GRC instance will be able to report against SPM usage.
    Does anybody have any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Niamh

    Niamh,
As long as you configure the connectors from the SPM Java side, you can report on multiple SPM backend instances from a single GRC Java System.
However, if you want to integrate SPM with RAR for the critical transactions / SOD analysis, I believe that you can only specify one RAR source.
If you split out the HR elements to a single shared system, you can also have both GRC systems connected to that HR system You would need to consider the rulset defined in each RAR instance and the users who report on it to ensure that you are getting the "correct" rules in the correct place.
I would recommend not reporting from both grc systems as it doubles the administrative overheads and adds further complexity to the implementation. I would pick one of the GRC systems and adjust the functions in that one to look at the new HR system for the relevant authorisation definitions.

  • How to connect two BW systems to one ECC system?!?

    Hi Experts!
We want to connect our ECC system (P11) to multiple SAP BW systems. Therefore we made a system copy of our productive BW System (P81) and create a new second BW System (T81). When I want to restore to connection to the P11 in the T81, Iu2019ll get the following error message:
u201CDie Verbindung CA wird im Quellsystem P11_001 als Verbindung zum BW T81CLNT001 genutzt.
Soll diese Verbindung im Quellsystem gelöscht werden? Nach erfolgreicher Löschung wird der Anschluss wiederholt.u201C
In English this message means something like that: u201EThe connection CA is used as a connection to the BW T81CLNT001 in the source system. Should this connection be deleted in the source system? This connection can be repeated after successful deletion.u201D
Now I ask myself: How can I connect our new BW System to our ECC System, without destroying the old connection to our productive BW system?!?
Have anyone of you an idea how we can handle this issue?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards, Alex

    Hi
This happens because of RFC settings duplication as your new BW system is copied from Old one.
First you restore the Production system connection by deleting the existing RFC.  But this will delete the new connection you have created ( that is what your dialog message is saying)
Basically , before creating new connection you need to delete some table entries manually , then you can connect both the system to your same source system
Please find the link below where I mentioned the table names from where you need to delete duplicate entries manually.
How to delete old source system assignment and assign new source system.

  • Multiple clients to be connected to One BI system

    Hello Experts,
have to work on a tricky requirement.
We have already connected one client (say R/3-100) to BI system. We are already running the deltas for the Logistics applications in BI production for this source system clent (100).
Now the requirement is that we need to connect 4 more clients (say R/3-200,300,400,500) to the existing BI system. We need to take care of the existing delta and INIT for the LO-application for client100.
    My Doubts are :
    1) As datasources are client independent so do we need to activate the datasources (like 2lis*) in all clients one by one? or just activating in one client will make it ?
    2) If we replicate the datasources for new clients in BW side and then want to reload the data from New clients (set-up tables filling and INIT)?would it have an affect on existing deltas (for datasources 2lis*)for existing Source client 100? What shud be the precautions? How we can proceed? Please let us know your opinons plz..
    thank you,
    Balji

    1) As datasources are client independent so do we need to activate the datasources (like 2lis*) in all clients one by one? or just activating in one client will make it ?
You need to activate the datasources individually for all the client. If you will activate in one client, it will be specific to that only
) If we replicate the datasources for new clients in BW side and then want to reload the data from New clients (set-up tables filling and INIT)?would it have an affect on existing deltas (for datasources 2lis*)for existing Source client 100? What shud be the precautions? How we can proceed? Please let us know your opinons plz
If you will replicate in one client system, it wont affect delta and init from other client.
One thing you can do, to identify data from different source systems, you can use source system compounding in your infoobjects. Make sure you are not loading data from both the client at the same time. it may lock the DSO and master data.

  • Having multiple J2EE stacks connected to one CRM ABAP instance for CRM IPC

    Hello Experts,
The situation we were looking at is this.
We have 3 distinct teams doing Java development for CRM IPC configurators
    Team A - IPC/Ecommerce
    Team B - UI
    Team C - Order Wrapper
They each wanted to do development in their own landscape (Java Stack)
Additionally, two more landscapes are needed:
a landscape for end 2 end testing of the configuration scenarios
    another for a Performance Assessment
To get 5 full dual stack CRM instances was deemed unlikely.
Trying to explore if multiple J2EE's, can be connected to one CRM ABAP system.
It seems we can not, as the CRM ABAP to JEE comminucation is via RFC and there is excatly one RFC_Destination defined per CRM (across all clients). Is this correct?
    Thanks
    Rocky

May be you can wordsmith your requirement to make it clear what each team is doing. Also, please mention what version of CRM / IPC you are talking about.
From what you have said, I guess IPC/E-Commerce is E-Commerce enhancement. If NWDI is in the picture, you have one track for this enhancement.
The UI - I assume is IPC UI. This is also a Java based web application that shares the same Java stack with the E-Commerce application.
What is Order Wrapper? - If it a custom web application you guys are into, I still don't see why they can't use the same Java "stack".
In the development lifecycle, it is sufficient to have only one IPC environment for each phase. The development team needs only one, unless they have a valid reason to have their own Java stack. I bet they need only one.
If the developers are asking about "Sandbox", they can have their own NetWeaver Developer Workplace in their laptop / desktop.

  • Multiple Solution Manager Connectivity to 1 Satellite system

    HI..
I have a requirement. There is already an existing landscape with solution manager ECC, BI etc. The solution manager is configured for EWA, Maintenance optimizer etc. I now have to install a new solution manager and connect it to the same set of satellite systems so that I receive the EWA, configure MOPZ again. Will this create any kind of a problem and technically how can we do it? I have two ideas for this scenario
    1. Connect the new solution manager to the same satellite systems and do configuration as normal. Got this idea from the below link but not sure how it will work.
Re: send EWA report to more than one solution manager
    2. Is it possible to push data from the existing solution manager to the new solution manager?
Would highly appreciate technical suggestions. Thx in advance for your help.

    Hello,
You need the SMD Agent in order to have ABAP data going to the Solution Manager. Some RFCs are established directly from Managed System to the Solution Manager to extract E2E Change Analysis, Exception Analysis. The Workload Analysis and Host Information (SAPOSCOL) is extracted from WIly EM
Having that said, you can imagine that you cannot have only RFCs and you cannot have only data extracted from WIly EM.
I suggest you to take a look at the FWK Administration in the solman_workcenter, choose the Managed System tab, and start looking into the details of each extractor. Some have an RFC destionation, others have SOLMANDIAG. The SOLMANDIAG are coming from the Solution Manager Java stack, which is responsible to poll the Wily EM.
The reason you need two SMD Agents is because the SMD Agent connects to the ABAP stack, retrieves data, and then connects to the Wily Enterprise Manager. The Solution Manager polls data from the Wily EM and persists it in the BW.
The SMD Agent doesn't support connecting to two Wily EMs at the same time.
So it is required to have TWO SMD agents polling data from the ABAP stack, at the same time, one of them reporting to one Wily EM, and the other reporting to the other Wily EM.
Each solution manager has it's own Wily EM, and it will pull the ABAP data from the Wily EM.
It is not possible to make the two Solution Manager's connect to one Wily EM, since the setup framework needs to see a SMD Agent available to run the setup wizard and to create the destinations. So each Solution Manager needs a SMD Agent running in the physical host.
I hope it is clear for you.
    Best regards,
    Guilherme

  • Can two different SRM clients systems connect to one R/3 Back-end system?

    Hello,
Trying to developing SRM Co-Exist/Global strategy, based on the following scenario:
    1.  Two different SRM client systems, each at DIFFERENT SRM Version/Release Level.  SRM system "A" runs in Stand-Alone and Extend Classic Scenario mode.  SRM system "B" runs in Classic Scenario mode
    2.  Two different R/3 back-end systems, each with SAME R/3 4.7 Version/Release Level.
Question 1:  Can the two (2) different SRM client systems be connected to one (1) of the R/3 back-end systems?
Question 2:  Are there any Basis Plug-In (PI_BASIS) issues/difficulties to consider from either the SRM client or R/3 back-end side?
Question 3:  Does each SRM client need it own unique transaction document type(s) and number range(s) definitions?
Question 4:  Are there any other difficulties, for example, with RFC and Partner Profile related definitions and what are the steps to address/resolve difficulties?
Please advise and thanks in advance for your feedback!

    They can be connected
Question 2: Are there any Basis Plug-In (PI_BASIS) issues/difficulties to consider from either the SRM client or R/3 back-end side?
Make sure that you have unique consumer entries for Middleware for Material replication, RFCs etc
Question 3: Does each SRM client need it own unique transaction document type(s) and number range(s) definitions?
Yes you need to have them.
Question 4: Are there any other difficulties, for example, with RFC and Partner Profile related definitions and what are the steps to address/resolve difficulties?
Don't see any difficulties as long as the a structured approach is followed.
