Hello,
Well, Is the above error is happening during the offline backup? What is the impact on the system because of the above error? Is any transaction fails?
The above error could be because of the following
1. Network issue
2. wrong client version. If you are SAP Kernel which is compatible with client 9i, then i suggest to install the latest version of the client. Ofcourse client version shouldn't be more than the version of the oracle server software.
3. and there could be other possible reasons like some error in the alert log, resource issue.

Whether -3113 and -3114 have sequence requirement or not when occurring?
A proc code connects to Oracle database. When the link between application and database is down, the proc code will prompt the sql error code.
I find that it will promt :"-3113 end-of-file on communication channel" firstly. And then, it will prompt "-3114 not connected to ORACLE" in every call to this proc code before the link recoveries.
My question is that whether it will prompt -3113 error code at the first time and -3114 after the first time in every call before recovery or not?
-3113 and -3114 have sequence requirement?
Thanks a lot.>
-3113 and -3114 have sequence requirement?No.
While you often encounter both errors together or more specifically you first encounter the -3113 "Connection lost" and later the -3114 "No Connection" you have no guarantee that you will always encounter both. But why care? The solution is identical for both errors, reestablish the connection. -

Hi,
We are facing one typical problem, One background is failing regularly with
below dump. as we now got all notes giving information, if database restarted
taking backup, these type of failures occur, but our database is only down for backup once in a week, but it is failing with frequenly.
in this two servers are located in different place, in this job tries to connect
another server to get material statistics.
It is giving some error message in sm21 with

This is usually a SERVER SIDE DATABASE PROBLEM or SQLNET LISTENER (server side) PROBLEM. The client side should initially be ignored and instead the server should be investigated. In rare cases, this can be caused by client
side memory or other resource problem, or a DLL version mismatch, but this is
unlikely.
Enlist the assistance of your DBA. Then reproduce the ORA-3113 error on your
client application. Ask your DBA to look at the database side Alert.log and
trace files and look for ANY activity. Any activity that coincides with your
ORA-3113 will be a clue.

Displaying full sql error text?
I'm using getErrorCode() and getMessage() to display the following for an sql error
SQL error: SQLCODE: -551, SQLSTATE: 42501, SQLERRMC: auth-id ;operation;object-name
The SQLERRMC only has the auth-id, operation and object-name. How do I build this error message without doing it manually (detect 551 and build the error string)?
auth-id DOES NOT HAVE THE PRIVILEGE TO PERFORM OPERATION operation ON OBJECT object-nameWrite an abstract DataAccessException class for your data that wraps a java.sql.SQLException and subclass it for this particular database.Then have the concrete class do the work of checking the SQL error code and state and put out a nicer error message.
That's what Rod Johnson recommends in his "Expert 1-On-1 J2EE". -
Hi All
I am getting the error at Attrib.Change step in Process Chain step.
Error says like SQL Error 1652,Error When filing the aggregate 100178.
Can you please tell me why i am getting this error?
Is this error from BI side or from BASIS side?
Can we do anything from BI side to avaoid this error in future ?
Thanks,
DeepakHi Deepak ,
SQL error 1652 and 12801
1.I think this is a problem for Basis .
2.It is temp table space PSAPTEMP problem, ask basis team to increase temp table size and then try again .Ideally it should be around 5 - 3 % size of database.you can increase existing data file size for that .This is table use to buffer temporary data .
3.After that Aggregate filling job should run fine .
4.Also Check note 164925 and 416772
Hope this will be helpful .

Hi, I'm executing an infopackage in a datamart and the monitor of that request tell me that there is a "SQL Error: 206-" and "Errors in source system". What could be happening?. This is not the first time we execute this infopackage, but it is the first time we get this error.
Please help me to find out what is happening?
Regards,
Miguel CamposHi Miguel,
Kindly go to the Source System and go to <b>ST22</b> (ABAP Dump) for a more detailed explanation of the Error.
That <b>SQL Error 206</b> may mean more than 1 error. Could be that the system has experienced <b>DEAD LOCKS</b>, a <b>Shortage Of Disk Space</b>, etc. etc.

SQL error forced rollback and connection loss with OLE item in forms 6i
We are running forms 6i client server on a Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.3.0 - 64bit. We have a form that has 1 base table block that contains an OLE item where the user can create or edit a Microsoft Word document then save that document in a long raw column in the table. The OLE item is using the Word.Document.8 OLE class.
We are having intermittant problems where the user presses commit in the form and gets a FRM-40508 error: unable to Insert record. The message displayed at the bottom of the screen is FRM-40655: SQL error forced rollback: clear form and re-enter transaction. When I press Shift-F1 to view the error I see ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel.
DBA says that there are no errors being generated in the database. Does anyone have any experience with kind of problem? Any suggestions would be most welcome.The Ora-3113 error means that the connection has been lost.
These issues normally are database or networking related and have little to do with ole objects.
You need to determine if a server-side error is causing the disconnect.
To start diagnosing this issue you first need to turn on sqlnet tracing to see what other ora-XXXX error is occuring. That will start to help diagnosing this issue.
You may also want to check the database alert log for any RDBMS errors that may have caused the disconnect.
If there aren't any RDBMS errors logged, you should generate a Net8 trace for the session to see if you can get more detailed errors.
About sql tracing:
To obtain a trace, you have to place the following entries in the SQLNet.ORA file. Make sure before you start your application that the C:\Trace directory exist.
TRACE_FILE_CLIENT = net817
TRACE_DIRECTORY_CLIENT = C:\trace
TRACE_UNIQUE_CLIENT = ON
TRACE_LEVEL_CLIENT = 16
TRACE_TIMESTAMP_CLIENT = ON
When finished obtaining both traces, set the TRACE_LEVEL_CLIENT = 0 from 16 to turn off tracing.

SQL Error 3114 occured when accessing program CX_
Hi there,
I have build an infoset on a infocube and ODS. On this infoset I've build a query using a calculated key figure: Availibility%
Inside this key figure I have 2 restricted key figures: Allocation and Availibility
When I execute this query I get the error: "SQL Error 3114 occured when accessing program CX_"
If I remove the calculated key figure from the columns it works fine. If I place one of the 2 restricted key figures in the query it also work fine. But If i place both the restricted key figures in the columns, I also get the error. Or If I place the calculated key figure in the columns, I also get the error. Does somebody know what the problem is?No they don't show me the problem. I've executed with RSRT transaction and I;ve got this error with the ABAP-debugger:

Kff.where returns 'null' and causes sql error - looking for a work around
Hello,
I am using BI 5.6.3 in EBS (11.5.10.2)
I have created a kff.where as follows:
<lexical
type="oracle.apps.fnd.flex.kff.where"
name="lp_location_where_clause"
comment="Comment"
application_short_name="OFA"
id_flex_code="LOC#"
id_flex_num=":lp_location_flex_structure"
code_combination_table_alias="loc"
segments="ALL"
operator="BETWEEN"
operand1=":p_location_low"
operand2=":p_location_high"/>
</lexicals>
Everything works fine, as long as I have a values for the p_location_low and p_location_high. However, this is a parameter that comes in from a concurrent program and is optional. When the user doesn't pick a value, :p_location_low is the concatenated delimiters for the location '..'.
When this runs, the kff.where is returning null which causes 'Invalid Relational Operation error' because 'AND null' is not valid.
Warning in the log is :[091910_025232517][][STATEMENT] !!Warning: FlexAPI returns null for 'x_where_expression' lexical definition...
Does anyone have a workaround for this since making the parameter required is not an option for my users?
Thanks for reading.In your SQL*Plus session, make sure you
SQL> set define offbefore trying to create the Java stored procedure. SQL*Plus assumes that any string that begins with an & is a substitution variable unless you tell it that you have no substitution variables (via set define off).

Sql@loader-704 and ORA-12154: error messages when trying to load data with SQL Loader
I have a data base with two tables that is used by Apex 4.2. One table has 800,000 records . The other has 7 million records
The client recently upgraded from Apex 3.2 to Apex 4.2 . We exported/imported the data to the new location with no problems
The source of the data is an old mainframe system; I needed to make changes to the source data and then load the tables.
The first time I loaded the data i did it from a command line with SQL loader
Now when I try to load the data I get this message:
sql@loader-704 Internal error: ulconnect OCISERVERATTACH
ORA-12154: tns:could not resolve the connect identifier specified
I've searched for postings on these error message and they all seem to say that SQL Ldr can't find my TNSNAMES file.
I am able to connect and load data with SQL Developer; so SQL developer is able to find the TNSNAMES file
However SQL Developer will not let me load a file this big
I have also tried to load the file within Apex (SQL Workshop/ Utilities) but again, the file is too big.
So it seems like SQL Loader is the only option
I did find one post online that said to set an environment variable with the path to the TNSNAMES file, but that didn't work..
Not sure what else to try or where to look
thanksHi,
You must have more than one tnsnames file or multiple installations of oracle. What i suggest you do (as I'm sure will be mentioned in ed's link that you were already pointed at) is the following (* i assume you are on windows?)
open a command prompt
set TNS_ADMIN=PATH_TO_DIRECTOT_THAT_CONTAINS_CORRECT_TNSNAMES_FILE (i.e. something like set TNS_ADMIN=c:\oracle\network\admin)
This will tell oracle use the config files you find here and no others
then try sqlldr user/pass@db (in the same dos window)
see if that connects and let us know.
Cheers,
Harry

we are having process chains which include process activating DSO and loading to Master data,
while executing achai, we are getting error:
An error occurred during confirmation of process 000008. See long text
Message no. RSODSO_PROCESSING024
Diagnosis
Note the detailed system message:
An SQL error occurred when executing Native SQL.
when i go to T-Code: ST22
the diagnosis is below:
Runtime Errors DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR
Exception CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
Date and Time 20.05.2010 22:18:02
What happened?
The database system detected a deadlock and avoided it by rolling back
your transaction.
What can you do?
If possible (and necessary), repeat the last database transaction in the
hope that locking the object will not result in another deadlock.
Note which actions and input led to the error.
For further help in handling the problem, contact your SAP administrator
You can use the ABAP dump analysis transaction ST22 to view and manage
termination messages, in particular for long term reference.

Could you please help me out how can i deal with this issue, .

Sinu Reddyit seems that the target you're loading to is already locked by another load...if it concerns a master data is also possible that the master data is locked by a change run. check your scheduling and make sure you don't load the same target at the same moment...
