SQL Script in XE Cancels during Execution without returning any error(s)

Hi all;
I'm running a SQL script with a drop table and create table statement along with several hundred insert statements to load data into this table in a Oracle 10g XE database. There's a total of 213 SQL command lines in the script. (1 Drop Tbl/1 Create Tbl/211 Insert(s)).
I run the script within the Script Editor in the Oracle XE web interface and it processes 45 of 213 of the SQL commands in the script successfully(1 Drop Tbl/1 Create Tbl/43 Insert(s)). Then the Manage Script Results screen shows a status of "Canceled". It doesn't even attempt to insert the other rows and spit back any error messages. I tried debugging by checking the consistency of the insert statements at the break point and couldn't find any discrepancy. The script just stops executing and shows this cancelled status? Can anyone help me figure out why all the lines of this script aren't being executed? I'd appreciate it a lot!
Thanks.

I've spooled output to a file which I've pasted below in italic pre-tags. I abbreviated some of output to save space in this thread. I didn't want to include 600 rows showing "1 row created" 211 times with 3 spaces between each of them. So here is my abbreviated output:

The last select statement above results in continuous spitting out of column headings with no data. I've truncated it here to save space. When I go through the Oracle Database XE web front end I see that the table was created; however it says "This table has no data". So still no luck. Hope you can help. Thanks.

  • MxiFindDevLA() crashed without return any error code

Version 2.1.1 of the VXI library returns 0xffffffff, error code.
Version 3.2 and 3.3.1 simply crashed the application with returning any error code.
Can you please tell me if there is any update within the mxiFindDevLA() function that's causing the problem?
side note: there is no pci-mxi2 hardware installed on the system.
    Ken

    Ken-
I think in order to best answer your question we need additional details about your setup.
First, "mxiFindDevLA" is not an NI function. We provide an operation called "FindDevLA" which is probably related, but it sounds like someone (perhaps an instrument driver?) has provided a new function which may have behaviors we are not expecting. One step that would help us determine what the operation does would be for you to attach the output of NI Spy when your application runs.
Also, I am confused by your side note. FindDevLA (which might be used by mxiFindDevLA) is an NI-VXI API operation. All NI-VXI API operations MUST be run after InitVXIlibrary succeeds. InitVXIlibrary will not work (it will return an error) if there is no controller in your sy
stem. From your side note I can't tell if you have no controller at all, or just some other controller that is not a PCI-MXI-2.
If you can provide this additional information it would assist us in debugging the problem. FindDevLA itself is a simple operation which compares the settings you provide against the device info fields for each logical address in your system. It could cause a crash if you pass in an invalid pointer for the logical address parameter, but that was true in NI-VXI 2.x as well, so I look forward to any additional information you can provide.

  • Report Builder get shut down... without generating any Error Message

    Hi Every One,
I am generating the reports in Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2. And the report is based on the view, when I want to generate the PDF, the report builder get shut down without generating any error message. But I can run the report to see live Preview (Paper Design ).
What can be reason that its not generating PDF file format.
Thanks in Advance for your time.

    Hi Saumen,
I don't think so that .. I have memory problem or some other issue on the hardware side .. bcos I used the same report builder on same machine against the same instance.. to generate the 70K pages PDF file ... but nothing happened ...And this report is fetching only 10 records. during the execution of the report, Report Builder get close. without generating any message. without keeping any processor busy.
I am feeling that report builder try to write in the PDF file format .. but unable to write.. may b some thing is wrong on the privileges side of the VIEW. But I have Select Priv on the view.
When I try to trace the report, I got the message in the trace file that " Report Aborted on user request"
    Thanks,

  • SQL*Plus auto accept CANCEL during recovery

I am scripting out to do an incomplete recovery with a backup controlfile.
How do I get SQL*Plus to automatically accept "CANCEL"

and then move on to "alter database open resetlogs"
    SQL> recover database until cancel;

You can't - that's the whole point behind incomplete media recovery - how does sqlplus know when you want to cancel

  • How to execute SQL Script using windows powershell(using invoke-sqlcmd or any if)

    OS : Windows server 2008
SQL Server : SQL Server 2012
    Script: Test.sql (T-SQL)  example : "select name from sys.databases"
Batch script: windows  MyBatchscript.bat ( here connects to sql server using sqlcmd  and output c:\Testput.txt)
     (sqlcmd.exe -S DBserverName -U username -P p@ssword -i C:\test.sql -o "c:\Testoutput.txt)  ---it working without any issues.....
This can execute if i double click MyBatchscript.bat file and can see the output in c:\testput.txt.
Powershell: Similarly, How can i do in powershell 2.0 or higher versions?  can any one give full details with each step?
I found some of them online, but nowhere seen clear details or examples and it not executing through cmd line (or batch script).
example: invoke-sqlcmd -Servernameinstance Servername -inputfile "c:\test.sql" | out-File -filepath "c:\psOutput.txt"  --(call this file name MyTest.ps1)
(The above script working if i run manually. I want to run automatic like double click (or schedule with 3rd party tool/scheduler ) in Batch file and see the output in C drive(c:\psOutput.txt))
Can anyone Powershell experts give/suggest full details/steps for this. How to proceed? Is there any configurations required to run automatic?
    Thanks in advance.

Testeted the following code and it's working.....thanks all.
Execute sql script using invoke-sqlcmd with batch script and without batch script.
    Option1: using Import sqlps
1.Save sql script as "C:\scripts\Test.sql"  script in side Test.sql: select name from sys.databases
2.Save Batch script as "C:\scripts\MyTest.bat" Script inside Batch script:
    powershell.exe C:\scripts\mypowershell.ps1
    3.Save powershell script as "C:\scripts\mypowershell.ps1"
    import-module "sqlps" -DisableNameChecking
    invoke-sqlcmd -Servername ServerName -inputFile "C:\scripts\Test.sql" | out-File -filepath "C:\scripts\TestOutput.txt"
4.Run the Batch script commandline or double click then can able to see the output "C:\scripts\TestOutput.txt" file.
5.Connect to current scripts location  cd C:\scripts (enter)
    C:\scripts\dir (enter )
    C:\scripts\MyTest.bat (enter)
Note: can able to see the output in "C:\scripts" location as file name "TestOutput.txt".
Option2: Otherway, import sqlps and execution
1.Save sql script as "C:\scripts\Test.sql"  script in side Test.sql: select name from sys.databases
    2.Save powershell script as "C:\scripts\mypowershell.ps1"
    # import-module "sqlps" -DisableNameChecking #...Here it not required.
    invoke-sqlcmd -Servername ServerName -inputFile "C:\scripts\Test.sql" | out-File -filepath "C:\scripts\TestOutput.txt"
    3.Connect to current scripts location
    cd C:\scripts (enter)
    C:\scripts\dir (enter )
    C:\scripts\powershell.exe sqlps C:\scripts\mypowershell.ps1 (enter)
Note: can able to see the output in "C:\scripts" location as file name "TestOutput.txt".

Any ideas on why it is just going to a limbo (no sessions also appear on EAS console)
    Ankur

Yes the script can be manually executed. Also if I again put a mxl file starting from the step where it last stopped - it continues execution normally. (i.e. executes StepB2 as well and continues executing)
And today's execution result - I kept monitoring the server, it ran for 3hrs and then halts after around 80% of the steps with 20% were still remaining. I created a new Mxl to start from the last 20% and it ran successfully again.

Hello Guys, I have HP notebook DV6166 TX last month i change my battery from 6 cell to 12 cell battery it works fine for few weeks but then i start facing the shutdown issue.
My notebook suddenly shutsdown without any message display when ever power is not plugged in and its using battery then i detach the battery and again attach the battery.. its starts working again. It never shuts down when power is plugged in.
I dont know is it because of new battery of there is some problem with my notebook..
    I am using WIN 7 home edition/
Any help would be really appriciated.

    Hello HaroonK,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand the computer will randomly shut down when the battery is connected. Normally, a new battery has to be calibrated before it can be used. Sometimes, an un-calibrated battery will behave like this. I can provide an HP document with instructions on how to do this: Testing and Calibrating the Battery (Windows 7)
Following this document will allow you to successfully calibrate the battery. Additionally, it will test the battery for any issues it might have. Please try all of these steps and let me know what happens!
Thanks for choosing the HP Forums. Have a great day!

though the file on application server contains the data.
I debugged the job using JDBG, still it was uploadig the file sometime and many a times
    not.
I could not judge anything from this unusual behaviour.
Please help me with your comments.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Sumit Mittal

The necesaary piece of code for your reference is :
OPEN DATASET lv_full_file_name_lg FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
    LOOP AT gi_log_files INTO gw_log_files.
TRANSFER gw_log_files TO lv_full_file_name_lg NO END OF LINE.
TRANSFER cl_abap_char_utilities=>cr_lf TO lv_full_file_name_lg NO END OF LINE.
    ENDLOOP.
    CLOSE DATASET lv_file_name_lg.
    Also to let you know the function modules I am using for FTP are;
    HTTP_SCRAMBLE
    FTP_CONNECT
    FTP_COMMAND_LIST
    FTP_DISCONNECT
    RFC_CONNECTION_CLOSE

  • Background task stays with status "in process" without creating any error

    Hi all,
we created a two step approval workflow for parked documents based on the SAP WF templates WF WS10000051 (WF frame) and WS10000053 (two step approval sub WF). The problem now is, that after the two approvals have been given and the release flag is set the system should post the document. This is done in a background task. This task is started automatically but the status stays at "in process" and the document remains "parked" and not posted.
What we did so far to solve the problem:
1.) Check if shortdump has been created via ST22 --> not the case
    2.) Refreshed buffer via SWU_OBUF
3.) Reacticvated/executed task with workitem id from log in SWIA
--> nothing solved the problem so far. Please help!
    Thanks in advance. Johannes

    Hello Johannes !
You have asked "What do you mean with populate the value?"
Populating means conceiving the variable or container with valid value. In your scenario , with reference to your URL http://img851.imageshack.us/i/wflog2.jpg/ , POSTED_FLAG should be populated with value X.It should not be "Not Set".
With reference to your URL http://img717.imageshack.us/i/wfprotocol.jpg/, Set Release Flag step does not sets release flag.
It's evident from the URL http://img263.imageshack.us/i/flagreleasesetsw01.jpg/
The solution for your problem is straight forward : Pass all the export or result parameters of RELEASE step to SET RELEASE FLAG step. Similarly , pass all the export or result parameters of SET RELEASE FLAG step to POST PARKED DOCUMENT STEP.
Answer for question 1 : After  successful workflow transportation, it's version changes.Never mind the versions unless either of the versions are inactive or the version you require is inactive.
Answer for question 2 : The user WF-BATCH should have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profiles.

  • Why does TopLink roll back transactions without displaying any error?

I am trying to do bulk inserts via a stored procedure that takes in a VARRAY of varchars (complete insert statements). Becuase of integrity constraint, the stored procedure can only be executed after the parent record has been inserted via registerObject. I have created a new class that implements the SessionEventListener and put the logic to call the stored procedure under prepareUnitOfWork. I then put the listener in the event manager. The whole transaction would go through, but in the end TopLink would rollback the transaction for no apparent reason. I do not see any exceptions or errors, and from the database side my DBA has created a test_log table that will track the statements I passed in, and they all look fine. Has anyone encountered similar problems before?

This is the current setting for Session.xml
    <logging-options>
    <log-debug>true</log-debug>
    <log-exceptions>true</log-exceptions>
    <log-exception-stacktrace>true</log-exception-stacktrace>
    <print-thread>true</print-thread>
    <print-session>true</print-session>
    <print-connection>true</print-connection>
    <print-date>true</print-date>
    </logging-options>

  • Answer report is taking infinite time without returning results

    Hi All,
We have an issue with one of our user. When she is trying to fetch some reports, its taking nearly 1 hr without returning any error and some time returning error.
Other user are able to fetch the same report.
Is it something to do with her system/computer or any Application related issue?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards
    Sudipta

    Hi sudipta,
It might be a network error or any error we cant say...First check the query retrieved by that user and run at the backend DB if its fast then look at the query for other users and compare it for any additional conditions coming into the SQL for that user and see how many records are fetching. This way we need to figure out the problem.
if not check the network connections or firewall that is hindering the performance of the query.
    hope helps you.
    Cheers,
    KK
