Hi,
Once login into your system you can not create a shopping carts directly before creation of SC you have to do neccssary configuratins in SRM system. If you have already completed necssary configuartions in SRM then please assgina role for your self "SAP_EC_BBP_EMPLOYEE" then logoff and login again through browser then you can find few transactions in left ahnd side of the brwoser.
Go to Shop then so the shopping...

  • Few basic SRM questions .......

I recently completed the SRM training from SAP and I have few basic questions and need help. Full points will be rewarded.
These are my questions and it is based on SRM 5.0 Classic Scenario with R/3 backend
    1. Invoice  & confirmation transferred to R/3 via  ALE ? .  All other documents are transferred to R/3 via RFC?
    2. Based on the configuration, if the material is available in the backend then reservation will be created. Other wise PO will be created.  For text items, PR will be created.
         a. Who (purchaser) will process the PR in R/3 and how it is processed?.
         b. Who (purchaser?) will process the reservation in R/3 and how it is
processed?. Assume no sourcing is setup in this case and No MRP run.
    3. How the vendor is linked to the Material or product category in SRM?. During the vendor replication from R/3, vendor and material/prod category link is automatically maintained?
    4. How the vendor is linked to a specific purchasing org/group? Is it based on the prod category assigned in the org structure for each purchasing org or purchasing group?
    5. How to do delta prod category replication?
    6. How to do Delta Material Replication?.
    7. Contracts and vendor list:-
In our SAP training we created these from the browser. But in the actual
implementation how do we create this?. Is it always from the browser?
    8. Direct Material and Plan driven Procurement.
Can we use catalog items as direct material?. Just for example - > What
about ‘Car Batteries’ that  is directly used in production and has the inventory
also. But we are using electronic catalog for procuring this item. Is it possible to
       order this as direct material?
    9. How to replicate Plant. How to use DNL_PLNT?. Is BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL will replicate all the PLANT's and its locations from the R/3 backend?
    10. In the HR system, which transaction we can view the org structure?

You can use the following three routines to download locations from the backend system and store them as business partners in SAP Enterprise Buyer.
    BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL
To get all the location numbers from each backend system that is connected
    BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_FROM_SYSTEM
To get all the location numbers from one particular backend system
    BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_SELECTED
    To get selected locations
Previously, locations were not given business partner numbers in SAP Enterprise Buyer. If you are configuring an upgrade, you can use routines BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_FROM_SYSTEM and BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_SELECTED to check that the following conversions have been made:
    ·        Conversion of user favorites
    ·        Conversion of user attributes
    ·        Conversion of old documents
    Routine BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL checks these automatically.
Once you have run the routines, the location data is available in the SAP Enterprise Buyer system. Table BBP_LOCMAP contains the mapping information (in other words, which business partner number corresponds to which location in which backend system).

  • General SRM Questions (Business view)

    Hello All,
As I am new to SRM, would it be possible to get an answer on the questions below. These are questions which I think are relevant from a business point of view.
    1) Is SRM mainly for indirect spend?
    2) What extra modules are required for direct spend? (MM?)
    3) How does SRM work with MM?
    4) Is MM necessarily required?
    5) Can I use SRM and Invoicing or could could SRM also replace my SAP invoicing module?
    6) Is it mainly used for eauctioning and sourcing?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Atanod
Will reward points for helpful answers.

    Hi Atanod,
you are asking everything. By designing a solution fitting to the specific business needs, the components, processes, commodities etc. are decided. What do you want to do with the solution, which users should be enabled, where is the focus, etc. Have a look at the Service Marketplace as well into onto SAP webpages to get a basic insight into SRM and MM offerings. I try to answer some of your questions briefly:
    1) Is SRM mainly for indirect spend?
--> No, historically it started with indirect; but all categories can be purchased via SRM nowerday.
    2) What extra modules are required for direct spend? (MM?)
--> MM and SRM work together - no other modules. Important for direct is Sourcing, Materials,      Vendors and Contracts. And here the process and requirements drive the decision how MM and      SRM play together.
    3) How does SRM work with MM?
--> depends on the process and the design; SRM leading system, MM leading system, both in parallel .... .
    4) Is MM necessarily required?
--> no; but, it depends ....
    5) Can I use SRM and Invoicing or could could SRM also replace my SAP invoicing module?
--> yes; SRM supports the invoicing step, but almost all companies use the MM / FI for this;     Within R/3 there are so many sophisticated functions for invoicing all these Finance guys love so much and do not have in SRM.
    6) Is it mainly used for eauctioning and sourcing?
--> SRM is not mainly used for this; it contains these two elements as well; And again, it depends, if it makes sense to use
And there are some more elements to consider:
    Catalog Management,
    Document Exchange with the Suppliers,
Outsourcing of certain processes and usage of 3rd Party providers,
    etc. .........
Welcome to the exciting world of SRM!!!
    Cheers,
    Claudia
Points are welcome from a personal view

  • Few SRM Questions

I am new to SRM and planning to take SRM210 course from SAP authorized training center. I have the following questions because the job market requirements are SUS, CCM, Bidding Engine, Live auction etc. I know that CCM is a separate course at SAP.
    1. Is self service procurement covering SUS also ?. What is the difference between self service procurement and Supplier self service procurement (SUS). Once we know self service procurement, can we able to manage SUS also ?. According to me, both looks same.
    2. Bidding engine is the part of SRM210 training now. So while we cover bidding engine,Can we able to manage live auction also?.
Also, could anybody provide me the <b>SRM business scenario documentation and the configuration documentation from service.sap.com</b> because I don’t have access to that website.
My email id is [email protected]
Thanks in advance and you help is really appreciated
    Jen

    Hi,
SAP SRM is basically enhancement of SAP mjaterials management. It offers diff business scenarios viz.
    1. Self service procurement- self procurement of low cost items by employees reliving purchasers for more imp works.
    2. Service procurement - Scenario specialized for services.
    3. Plan driven procurement - scenario where external demands can be worked in EBP sourcing or PO/SA can be sent to suppliers and they can confirm.
    4. Strategic Sourcing - New suppliers can be registered. Bidding can be done with suppliers. Live auction is possible.
    5. Catalog content management - Suppliers catalogs can be uploaded and managed. Supplier's sites can be accessed for procurement.
    6. Spend analysis - BIW can be integrated with SRM for very powerful reporting.
Also, there are newer submodules coming viz. MDM, PLM, C folders in SAP SRM.
Supplier Self Service (SUS) is a SAP component that pushes PO and SA to the supplier.
This is a piece of the SAP Supplier Portal, for order collaboration.
This is part of SRM solution.
Via this component, suppliers can process:
    - Purchase Orders
-- Download PO: You can download purchase orders in CSV format and XML format
-- Print PO: You can print purchase orders in CSV, XML, and PDF format
    - Shipping Notifications
    - Confirmations
    - Invoices & credit memos
    - Notifications from purchasers
    - Scheduling Agreement releases
    - Messages
    - own data
    - links to SRM bid invitations
There are some variants between SRM/SUS and MM/SUS
    scenario.
For direct supplier XML integration, PO can be sent to the supplier via XML for long in SAP solutions, from R/3 or SRM.
XI content is provided to generate XML file from SRM or R/3 calls.

  • HR-SRM question

Can someone please explain to me the differences between a Standard Organization Sturcture in SRM and the one HR organization structure?
We have our users assigned to two clients. And that has really confused me.:))
Moreover..how are the attributes affected/different in SRM and HR?
Please share any information...it will help me a lot.
    Rgds
    Trey

    Hi Trey,
SAP HR is the official company organizational structure.
SAP SRM organizational structure is the structure that you define to make your SRM process work.
If you do not want to maintain 2 different organisational structures (HR + SRM), you can replicate it from HR to SRM.
SRM attributes store data that in most case will be inherited by users.
These data are loaded when users shop in SRM.
This is just a macro view of the big picture...
    Kind regards,
    Yann

  • Questions for SRM Certification - urgent pls.

    Hi Gurus,
Could anyone pls help me with SRM questions for certification.
    [email protected]
    thanks in advance.

    Hi gurus,
I have the following questions, can someone pl. help me to clear my doubts ?
    1. With EBP 3.0, the classic scenario is replaced with the extended classic scenario.
My question : Is it true ?
    2. The Business Connector for exchange of data between EBP and the catalog.
What is Business Connector ? Is Business Connector means XI ?
    3. The message types and BAPIs that are defined in the distribution model are later
transferred to the back-end in either synchronous or asynchronous fashion,
    according to type.
Since the Model's can ONLY be distributed from EPB to back-end and regened in back-end,
I may come back with more questions, please help me out. .
If anyone have any SRM Certification questions, please pass on to me @ [email protected]
u can count on my points.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Doubts in Classic Scenario

    Hi Friends,
    i am having a doubt...
    Let’s say in classic scenario
    1) SHC created in SRM
    2) PO replicated in ECC in Editable mode & in display
    mode in SRM
    Question 1:
If I change PO qty in ECC(as its in editable mode) will it get updated in SRM PO?(i.e changes we do in PO at ECC level will be updated in SRM?)
    Question 2:
If I do Goods receipt & Invoice in ECC  for the same PO will it replicated in SRM as GC and Invoice against the PO?
    Thanks,
    San

    Hi Konstantin,
    Thanks for the resonse...
    My question is..
In classic scenario we have editable PO in ECC & Non Editable PO in SRM(Display Mode) am i correct?
    If i am correct...
Lets say in classic scenario i have created PO-XYZ for 100 Qty from SHC?It will be editable in ECC and non editable in SRM,so i go and change PO -XYZ qty in ECC as 80 qty or 120 qty, this changes we did in ECC will be updated in PO-XYZ available in SRM(in display mode)???
    Similary
Lets say in classic scenario i have created PO-XYZ for 100 Qty from SHC?It will be editable in ECC and non editable in SRM,
I can do GR either in ECC or SRM? am i correct?
    If i am correct..
If i do GR for a PO-XYZ in ECC,Is this update/follow on document(i.e GR posted for the PO) will be updated in SRM PO-XYZ(available in display mode) follow on document tab/History tab?
    Thanks,
    San

  • User Maintenance after HR-Org replication

    Dear Community,
in a sandbox environment I am currently evaluating HR-SRM Org recplication connecting SRM 6.0 to a copy of an existing HR-system.
I already learned that after active HR-Org replication, I will need to maintain my users in HR directly.
Problem: I know SRM very well but have no clue about HR.
Anyone can tell me which transactions in HR to use to maintain an employee in a way that it will be usable in SRM after replication? I use ECC 6.0 based HR. Alternatively a useful link to the right note or documentation page is highly appreciated.
    Thanks and greetings, Julian

    Hi
Please check SAP OSS notes 550055 et 934372 that explain everything
Please refer note no.312090 ,this is a primary note. You can get link for other notes.
There is also a document called TRANSPORTINGEBP_14.pdf in http://service.sap.com_
Use the search engine to find this official document.
Note 447651 Transporting EBP Systems and organisation modell will point you to the document in service.sap.com. Do not be misslead with the name of the document.
Please use SAP OSS note 550055 EBP/CRM: New integration for business partner. - Using classic scenario with separate HR system and you will found this note very useful. In related notes part you can find other useful notes.
Also, you need to set a distribution model from HR to SRM for HRMD_ABA message, and set numbering range for org units to be the same in HR and SRM system (Tcode OONR).
Please try these Very helpful links ->
    Re: HR-SRM question
    R/3 to SRM
Till SRM4.0, SRM supports only 1:1 positions :user, while SAP HR Org.Structure supports 1:n.
But SRM5.0, Org.Structure supports multiple assignments like in HR. So distribution of HR Master Data/Org.strcture from SAP HR to SAP SRM is better with SRM5.0.
Also see; if this will help, but have a look at note 391085 and report RHALEHRMDORIGXPERT.
Hope this will help. Do let me know.

  • Questions about SAP's SRM capabilities

SRM Experts, I have two questions:
    In SAP, is it possible:
    1. To have "Amount Only Requisitions", that is, specify requisitions that enable requesters to order goods and services specifying only a dollar amount and not quantity.
    2. Reopen Closed Requisitions and Purchase Orders, that is,  re-open ANY previously closed requisition or purchase order, not only those from the last batch of the Close
    Reconciliation process.
    Thanks!

    Ok let me try...
    1) One of the Key building blogs will be the SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.1. Its provides the ES Repository for Service Metadata and the ES Registry for the Service Endpoints. The Registry you use for finding and classifcation of your services. Any yes XI/PI could be used as ESB.
Another keybuilding block is the SAP NetWeaver Composition Enviroment 7.1. This one is used at Design and Runtime for Composite Process, Composite Views and Composite Application which consume Enterprise Services.
    2) WS-Poilcy, WS-Adressing and BPEL is defenetly supported with PI 7.1(release planned for september 2007)
    3) This a part of the NetWeaver Composition Enviroment. For Monitoring you need brokered Service communication... in this case you can use PI as integration Broker which is able to monitor your communication.
    4) Exacutable Business Process(BPEL) are supported by PI 7.1
You are able to Design these processes with the Design tools of the PI.
For Highlevel Process modeling ARIS for SAP Netweaver is integrated.
So from High Level Process models drill down to theService Operations are all part of the Enterprise Service Repository and can be used to realise you business tasks.
    5) SAP provide the ES Workplace and SAP Discovery System for Enterprise SOA

    Robin

  • Questions about SRM PO in Classic scenario

    Hello All
I have a number of questions about the SRM PO in classic scenario.
    1) If the Backend PO is changed in ECC i.e. if any quantity is added , can we have an approval workflow
    for the same?
We currently have release strategies for other PO's in ECC. How do we accommodate the PO changes only?
Our requirement is not have an approval initially once the PO is created, but only for the changes
    2) If the PO is sent as XML to the Vendor, is it possible to capture the PO response in ECC? What are the Pre-requisites
for this to happen. Should SAP XI be required for this?
    3) In case the PO is cancelled/ reduced , does the Balance goes back to SRM sourcing cockpit?
    We are using SRM 7.0
    Regards
    Kedar

    Hi,
    1) If the Backend PO is changed in ECC i.e. if any quantity is added , can we have an approval workflow
    for the same?
We currently have release strategies for other PO's in ECC. How do we accommodate the PO changes only?
Our requirement is not have an approval initially once the PO is created, but only for the changes
Sol: In ECC6.0 if the P.O is changed and release strategy is there in ECC6.0 then it follows the ECC6.0 Approval Route.
    2) If the PO is sent as XML to the Vendor, is it possible to capture the PO response in ECC? What are the Pre-requisites
for this to happen. Should SAP XI be required for this?
    XI is mandatory
    3) In case the PO is cancelled/ reduced , does the Balance goes back to SRM sourcing cockpit.
Once P.O is created in ECC 6.0 for the P.R in Sourcing Cockpit, cancelling/reduction will not have a updation in the sourcing cockpit in SRM.
Eg  100 nos P.R is in SRM sourcing cockpit for which  you have createdaa P.O for 40 nos is ECC6.0
for the remaining 60 nos PR ,you can create a P.O in ECC6.0

  • SRM 7.0 RFx: Supplier not able to reply to Header level questions

    Hi Gurus
I am currently working on SRM 7.0. I am facing a strange issue.
While creating an RFX I am able to create questions as both item level and header level and able to assign weights to the same.  I am also able to  see questions along with weights at the supplier's end however when I try to create bid it shows weights at header level questions as zero and the supplier response to the question is also not accepted.
For questions at item level it is just working fine.
Please suggest what could be wrong. waiting for your replies.
    Sohil

    Daniele,
it could be due to multiple purchasing org. assignment to the suppliers.

  • Some questions on SRM 2007

    Hi All
As per my earlier knowledge SRM 2007 ( EBP 6.0) is going to be released in Q4 2008.
I read some people referring to it as SRM 7.0.
    1) Is this wrong or SAP has officially changed it to SRM 7.0.
    2) What is the corresponding version for SUS ?
    3) Is MDM an absolute must for SRM 2007 , or CCM is OK?
    Regards
    Kedar
Edited by: Kedar Ghayal on Aug 15, 2008 1:35 PM

    Hello everyone,
I found this thread incredibly interesting.  There are frequent questions coming from clients and internally about SRM 7.0.  But there seems to be a lack of documentation (or at least itu2019s difficult to find).  The last official memo from SAP I know of is nearly a year old (Oct 2007 https://websmp203.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/011000358700001040832007E/SRM2007Communication.pdf).  The release documentation (https://websmp208.sap-ag.de/releasestrategy) is dated Jan 2008, which states release November 2008.
In light of this have a couple of questions:
    - Does anyone have (or know of) any documentation detailing the new functionality compared to SRM 5.0 (or SRM 4.0)?
    - Does anyone know of any more recent official communication from SAP other than those mentioned above?
    Any help gratefully received.

I am a SRM Technical consultant and looking to move to the functional side.
I am aware of the P2P cycle but If im interviewed for the functional role, what are the possible questions I would have to answer?
Which areas do I need to focus...E.g. Configuration??Business process???Procurement cycle???
Any links to get a general idea abt the common terminologies ...business process would be really helpful.
    Thanks.

    Hi Subodh,
I would advise to go thru SRM course books such as SRM Overview, SRM 210 and SRM 270.
Knowledge in SAP MM is an added advantage.

  • Some question about the renegotiation function in SRM Contract (GOA)

    Hi All Expert,
We are on SRM 5/4.6,  there is a question about the renegotiation function in SRM GOA.
Can we renegotiate the price for some parts in the GOA items with this function ( e.g. Only renegotiate one item in the contract) ?
Will the item price updated automatically after the renegotiation?
    Many thanks in advance!!!
        Wendrin

    Hi Sanjeev,
    Many thanks for your help.
One more question, if I add a new item when we renegotiation, will it be transfered to contract and create a new item after that?
    Thanks and best regards

  • Basic questions in SRM for Workflows+need material

    Hi All,
I have developed Workflows in SAP R3.I am very new to SRM. I have following questions -
    1. What is the use of BADI when we implement Workflow? My understanding till now is to provide all approvers to the
Shooping Cart. That means for workflows without approval we dont need to BADI to implement.
    2. Is there any other concepts more i have to know? Like in R3 Event will be triggered with help of change doc, status mang., LIS exceptions and all through SWEC tx. is it same in R3?
Sorry to ask very basic questions.
Can anyone provide me step to step guide to configure SRM workflows and Cookbook for SRM?
My Email id is [email protected]
It will be very helpful for me.
       Thanks in advance.
       Ashwani

    Hi,
    1.All the n step workflows(where approvers are determined dynamically) in SRM can be implemented only using the BADI "BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI".the main purpose of this BADI is to fetch the Approvers/agents for the workflow.In addition to the  n step WF,you also have no approval, 1 step and 2 step approval workflow in which the agent assignment can be done directly(no BADI reqd) and this is applicable for all types of business objects i.e. Shopping cart,Bid etc.For more details refer the foll link;
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm40/helpdata/en/17/40a86c773d6c41801d78af1a34b90f/content.htm
2.Work flow concepts are same as in R/3.So techincally you can create your custom workflows in the same way.
Do let me know if you need any further help.
