SRM, ROS and SUS scenario question

Hello Experts,
We are in the process of implementing MDM, ROS, EBP and SUS scenario in our present project. I went through the documentation. I have couple of questions.
1. Do we need to have seperate clients for ROS and SUS. What is the best practise.
2. Since we have SUS, once I transfer BP from ROS to EBP, check the portal vendor box, I would like to know how the registration code will be sent to supplier. Do we need to create the userid in EBP or with the receipt of registration code supplier will be able to create his first initial userid? Also how we can implement this with CUA and EP as part of landscape?
3. Also since we have MDM, how the new BP information can be migrated or mapped in MDM and how new BP can be sent to backend system? I understand there is BP monitor to check and approve the changes, but how the new BP will be transferred? Do we need to develop new XI message for this? if Yes, from where that can be managed? from EBP or MDM?.
I searched through help.sap.com for any documentation but no success.
Thanks in advance
Vijay.

Hi,
1.Refer the foll thread:
Re: Supplier Registration without SUS or XI?
2.For supplier registration,SUS is not mandatory. You need to configure ROS for this scenario. The extrenal vendors will register in ROS and then be replicated to R/3.
You can use EBP only for Supplier registration.
SUS,ROS and Bidding engine make up the SRM server 5.5/EBP component of SRM 5.0.
Pls refer the foll link for the complete process:

  • SUS Scenario Question

    Hi all
I realise that there are limitations around both plan drive procurement and service procurement.  Mainly around extended classic SRM and classic so no GR or invoice entry in SUS for extended classic.is the big problem.
We are running extended classic and do want both MM - SUS with material integration originating in MM system and  SUS and Service procurement originating in SRM.
I can live with no GR in SRM no problem.  However, is there a way that invoices can be entered into SUS for SRM POs and they transfer to the ECC back end rather than get posted in SRM and then can be sent to the backend and then transferred over the SRM after posting in SAP?
Has anybody tried this?  What were the results?
Many thanks for sharing your experiences.

    Hi Tracey,
Unfortunately what you expect is not possible. Also implementing MM-SUS and SRM-SUS with same SUS client is not feasible.
However if you switch to a classic scenario, then you can achieve your target as direct and indirect POs will be created in MM and these can be routed to SUS. Also invoice entered in SUS will be transferred to MM and will be reflected in SRM. But not sure if switching to classic scenario would affect your other business. You will have to take a call on that.

  • WGM and SUS issues/questions

    Hi all
I have set up a server that is currently running DNS, OD, AFP and SUS. I have a bunch of users set up in WGM but only one (the testing one) bound.
Firstly my bound account "STEVE" has - A user account in WGM which is also in a Group account in WGM. I assume as the computer has been bound (or binded!) to the OD this is why the computer has an Hardware UUID account in WGM this also resides in a computer group called All Computers.
Now Preferences in WGM only works if edited in the computer panel of WGM (with the UUID in) I can for example move my dock. How ever if I have no preferences (WGM) set of the computer and try to move the dock under Computer Groups (WGM) of which the computer is a member, then the dock don't move. It also won't move if I set (WGM) Prefs in users or user groups only.
This not a major issue as we only have 15 clients but setting pref for User groups or Computer groups would be better.
The main issue is SUS the SUS server is running on the server and has downloaded loads of updates. I can set the update server for the client (again only in computers in WGM) with the following server to use:
    http://server.mydomain.com:8088/index-leopard-snowleopard.merged-1.suscatalog
Again setting in Computer groups would be better. However when I run software update on the client I get the following:
The Software Update Server (server.mydomain.com) is not responding.
Check to make sure your network connection is operating normally. If there are no issues with your connection, contact your network administrator for assistance.
It gives you the option to run network diagnostics which say everything is fine.
    Any ideas
SUS is one of the things I'd really love to get going as our internet connection is quite slow.

  • Tax calculation in backend and in SRM (classic and standalone scenario)

    Hello,
I have an issue regarding calculation of tax. 2 scenarios are used in common: classic and standalone. One node of Organizational structure is using classic scenario, another node is using standalone. So I have 2 Accounting Systems defined (one for each node).
    Requirement is:
    - For classic scenario, setting the tax calculation in backend
    - For standalone scenario, setting the tax calculation to no tax calculation
Problem is that I can not customize the system this way. I do not know any mean to set 2 ways for tax calculation. Would you have any idea to do this?
    Thanks,

  • Doubts about BP number in SRM and SUS

    Hello everyone,
I have some doubts about the BP number, especially for Vendors.
I am working with the implementation of SRM 5.0 with SUS in an extended classic scenario. We will use one server for SRM and other for SUS. We will use the self registration for vendor (in SUS). My questions are:
    - Can I have the same BP number in SRM and SUS?? Or is it going to be different??
    - When a vendor accesses at the site to make a self registration in SUS, the information is sent to SRM as prospect (by XI) and there the prospect is changed as vendor? After that, is it necessary to send something from SRM to SUS again? (to change the prospect to vendor)
    - When is it necessary to replicate vendors from SRM to SUS??
    Thanks
    Ivá

    Dear Ivan,
Here is answer to all your questions. Follow these steps for ROS configuration:
    Pls note:
    1. No need to have seperate clients for ROS and SUS. Create two clients for EBP and (SUS+ROS).
    2. No need of XI to transfer new registered vendor from ROS to EBP
    Steps to configure scenario:
    1. Make entries in SPRO --> "Define backend system" on both clients.
You will ahev specify logical systems of both the clients (ROS as well as EBP)
    2. Create RFCs on both clients to communicate with each other
    3. In ROS client create Service User for supplier registration service with roles:
        SAP_EC_BBP_CREATEUSER
        SAP_EC_BBP_CREATEVENDOR
Grant u201CS_A.SCONu201D profile to the user.
    4. Maintain service user in u201CLogon Datau201D tab of service : ros_self_reg in ROS client
    5. Create Purchasing and vendor Organizational Structure in EBP client and maintain necessary
attributes. create vendor org structure in ROS client
    6. Create your ROS registration questionnaires and assign to product categories- in ROS client
    7. To transfer suppliers from registration system to EBP/Bidding system, Supplier pre-screening has to be
defined as supplier directory in SRM server - EBP client.
Maintain your prescreen catalog in IMG --> Supplier Relationship Management u2192 SRM Server u2192
Master Data u2192 Define External Web Services (Catalogs, Vendor Lists etc.)
    8. Maintain this catalog Id in purchasing org structure under attribure "CAT" - in EBP client
    9. Modify purchaser role in EBP client:
Open node for u201CROS_PRESCREENu201D and maintain parameter "sap-client" and ROS client number
10.Maintain organizational data in make settings for business partner
Supplier Relationship Management -> Supplier Self-Services -> Master Data -> Make Settings for the Business Partners. This information is actually getting getting stored in table BBP_MARKETP_INFO.
    11. Using manage Business partner node with purchasers login (BBPMAININT), newly registsred vendors are pulled from Pre-screen catalog and BP is created in EBP client. If you you have SUS scenario, ensure to maintain "portal vendor" role here.
I hope this clarifies all your doubts.
Pls reward points for helpful answers

  • Mapping Error in XI Configuration for MM-SUS Scenario

    Dear Experts,
I am working on MM-SUS Classic Scenario,
We have done all basic setting in SRM, ECC and SUS.
Now we are configuring XI Scenario(Working on ESOA Architecture), while configuring XI Scenario, I follow the mention steps :
I have started from Integration Builder in XI (using T-code SXMB_IFR)
    1.  I have assigned two Business System( for ECC and SUS)  In integration Builder (Creates Communication Channels Automatically) .
    2. Modify IDOC and XI Communication in ERP and SUS Business system respectively.
    3. Now select Tools -> Transer Integration Scenario from Inegration Repository and Create Scenario in it properly
(Included Assign Services, Configure Connections, Generate etc).
    4. In last, save scenario.
After configuration XI  I am not getting Scenario Data (Objects and Configuration Overview data) in it.
When i  click to Check Configurability  under Model Configurator of mine Scenario,  I found following Errors ( I am Mentioning only some errors)  :
Component View SE_Services_Procurement: Connection from Send Z_CREMAS_SUSMM to Business Partner empfangen has no mapping
Component View SE_Services_Procurement: Connection from Send_PO_From_MM to Receive_Purchase_Order has no mapping

  • SUS Invoicing in EBP-SUS Scenario

    Hello SRM Gurus,
Due to various business process we will be deploying ECS SRM with EBP-SUS scenario.  We have strong requirement to provide PO invoice and non PO invoices ( eg utilities) via SUS.  I know EBP-SUS scenario is limited to POR, I would apprecite if anyone has implemented invoicing in SUS as people tell me it is technically possible.  If so, please share information.

  • Clariffications in MM SUS Scenario with ECC 6.0 backend and SRM 5.0

    Dear Team,
We are implementing MM SUS Scenario with ECC 6.0 backend and SRM 5.0
    We need to following clarifications
1 Once we create ASN in SUS, how to cancel the ASN. We are not able to see cancel button for ASNs
2 When we create GRN in ECC against the inbound delivery and perform Return Delivery, this Return Delivery is getting updated in SUS. But the ASN status is not changing to canceled. We are not able to perform new ASN for this. Also invoice is being allowed for these ASNs. How to control the same.
    Request your inputs please

  • Few questions on EB-SUS scenario?

    Dear Experts,
I have few questions on EB-SUS scenario which you may help with your expertise. It will be helpful for those who are new to scenario?
    1. EB (enterpise Buyer or SRM) -SUS scenario is used for requesting external staff? can it be used for non stock or free text items in extended classic? does it support direct material procurement ?
    2. Does EB-SUS or SRM-sus support service item with hierarchy like MM-SUS?
    3. EB-SUS scenario is basically on extended classic or standalone scenario? But, in extended classic scenario, it does support only Purchase order and PO response scenario? What badi's or customization is required to enable the confirmation and invoice for extended scenarios?
Full marks for good answers !!!
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan

    Hi,
I am also interested in this question with another view of it:
    - Can SUS be used together with SRM (EB) for consumables in standalone scenario?
    - What are your experiences with SUS in general. I foresee that we would need some add-on development to the solution, is this easily done or does it take a lot of effort?
    Thanks for any good input

  • ROS (without SUS) and EBP in same client-Transferred BP status?

    Friends,
We are working on SRM 7.
The ROS (without SUS) and EBP are implemented on the same SRM client.
In supplier registration process, when the accepted business partner is transferred from ROS to EBP, a supplier is correctly created in EBP client with the same business partner number, but the status of the transferred business partner is not updated from 'ACCEPTED' to 'RELEASED', hence there is risk that user can transfer the business partner again.
As per OSS note 857386, the status released is set automatically by the system when an accepted supplier has been distributed. Also the status is valid only for DISTRIBUTED suppliers, that is, ONLY for suppliers TRANSFERED through OPI.
I understand, if ROS (without SUS) and EBP are deployed on separate clients in same server then when the accepted business partner is transferred from ROS to EBP, system triggers an XI message to update the ROS business partner status to 'RELEASED'. Is my understanding right?
How do we update the transferred business partner status to RELEASED when ROS and EBP are on same client?

  • Clarifications on EBP-SUS and MM-SUS Scenario

    Hi !
We are planning to implement EBP-SUS and MM-SUS in one Client . Request you to help us on the following issues.
    1. While the outbound messages will not have a problem from MM & EBP, how do we route inbound messages to MM & EBP effectively. Should be handle it in XI ?? If ues, what is the best criteria .
    2. Since both the config guides for MM-SUS and EBP-SUS scenarios include transactions for transferring Vendor & Comapny Code data, how do we check duplication. For ex : if we transfer a Vendor from R/3 and subsequently try to transfer the same vendor from EBP , is there any inbuilt duplicate check ?
    3. In MM-SUS, an ASN created in SUS creates an inbound delivery is created in MM. What would happen in case of EBP-SUS i.e when an ASN is created for an EBP PO ? We are on extended classic scenario ?
4.If you do a confirmation in EBP-SUS, will a GR be generated in both EBP and subsequently in MM.
    Request yr help pl.

  • Questions about SRM PO in Classic scenario

    Hello All
I have a number of questions about the SRM PO in classic scenario.
    1) If the Backend PO is changed in ECC i.e. if any quantity is added , can we have an approval workflow
    for the same?
We currently have release strategies for other PO's in ECC. How do we accommodate the PO changes only?
Our requirement is not have an approval initially once the PO is created, but only for the changes
    2) If the PO is sent as XML to the Vendor, is it possible to capture the PO response in ECC? What are the Pre-requisites
for this to happen. Should SAP XI be required for this?
    3) In case the PO is cancelled/ reduced , does the Balance goes back to SRM sourcing cockpit?
    We are using SRM 7.0
    Regards
    Kedar

    Hi,
    1) If the Backend PO is changed in ECC i.e. if any quantity is added , can we have an approval workflow
    for the same?
We currently have release strategies for other PO's in ECC. How do we accommodate the PO changes only?
Our requirement is not have an approval initially once the PO is created, but only for the changes
Sol: In ECC6.0 if the P.O is changed and release strategy is there in ECC6.0 then it follows the ECC6.0 Approval Route.
    2) If the PO is sent as XML to the Vendor, is it possible to capture the PO response in ECC? What are the Pre-requisites
for this to happen. Should SAP XI be required for this?
    XI is mandatory
    3) In case the PO is cancelled/ reduced , does the Balance goes back to SRM sourcing cockpit.
Once P.O is created in ECC 6.0 for the P.R in Sourcing Cockpit, cancelling/reduction will not have a updation in the sourcing cockpit in SRM.
Eg  100 nos P.R is in SRM sourcing cockpit for which  you have createdaa P.O for 40 nos is ECC6.0
for the remaining 60 nos PR ,you can create a P.O in ECC6.0

What is the Process of service entry sheet.
    Regards
    Satish

Note 868192 - Consulting solution: MM-SRV-SUS service procurement
A service entry in SUS is transferred to the R/3 system or ERP system using an IDoc after you submit the entry screen. Service entry sheets are created there and they are then available for release. You can perform the service entry in a number of ways:
Service entry of planned services: you can confirm planned services in the service entry in SUS. An overdelivery may occur if quantities are still open.
Service entry using time recording: planned services, for which a time recording is useful, can be split up. Time recording by the hour or by the day is possible.
Service entry for limits: You can use the free-text entry of new items and also the OCI-enabled catalogs to implement limits.
