SSRS - MHTML File Doesn't Display Charts/Graphs

Hi,
I'm trying to export a SSRS report to MHTML, but the included graphs is not displayed. Why?
Can you please explain to me how to fix this issue?
Regards,
Bader

Hi Bader,
From your description, the Charts/Graphics included in the report are not displayed when viewing the exported MHTML file. From the "Export the report" section of the article
View a Reporting Services report, I suggest that you export the report to MHTML again, and then check the issue.
If the issue persists, the charts/graphics might be blocked by certain Internet Explorer settings. In this condition, I suggest that you open the MHTML file through a third party browser. Meanwhile, you can check the IE Advanced settings. For example,
please check the following options are enabled:
Enable automatic image resizing
Allow active content to run in files on My Computer*
Hope this helps.

    Hello Adnan,
    To have the XML Publisher graphs display when started from Concurrent request, the DISPLAY environment variable must be specified.
    Please review the following Note on how to setup the Xserver
    Configuring VNC Or XVFB As The X Server For Applications 11i (Doc ID 181244.1)
    After this is done, you can run once again the concurrent program and check the output.

  • Runtime.exec(bat file) : doesn't display stdio

    Hello, I need to start bat files from my Java Application
    to do this, I use
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("my_bat.bat");
    a Dos console is opened.
    if my_bat.bat
    starts notepad.exe ==> it works
    if my_bat.bat
    does echo hello world ==> nothing is displayed.
    I would like the STDOUT procuded by the .bat file to be
    displayed in the console.
    Anyone can help me?
    Regards.

    You need to get the input stream from the process, and print out what it sends. Simply calling "waitFor()" will wait forever, since the stdout characters need to be read.
    Try this :
    InputStream st = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("hello_world.bat").getInputStream();
    int n;
    while ((n = st.read()) >= 0) {
      System.out((char)n);

    Can you please let me know if i missed anything.
    Also it would be very helpful if someone can tell me how to get the output of Excel in .XLSX format.
    I have seen in various forums that you need to select the output type as Excel 2007, but i am not getting any such option while submitting the report.
    I am on EBS version 11.5.10.2 do we need to install any patch to get the output option.

  • PDF file doesn't display properly unless Firefox is maximized.

    When I try to view a PDF file in Firefox, the page is too light to read unless the Firefox is maximized. Try http://www.sgsd.k12.wi.us/foodservice/Shawano%20Food%20Service%20Web%20Site/Documents/Menus/September/Lunch%201.pdf
    click on the "Restore down" button and see if you can read it. It displays fine when maximized, so it's a nuisance rather than a big problem. Just curious if any one else noticed.

    Old Toad:
    I finally got it! the favicon works now at: http://web.me.com/phelpssculpture
    Your Instructions at:http://toadstutorials.info/ #22 did the trick.
    One problem I had with TextWrangle was I was doing a search and replace for <head><meta and it wasn't working. What I figured out was that there was other code on the line after <head><meta which was preventing the new code from working. I did a minor adjustment on each page in iWeb to force it to republish each page. That made the <head><meta line consistent on each page, then I selected the entire line and replaced it as per your instructions. It worked great. My experience was that iTweak did not process the code properly and was very slow, but this process was great.
    Thank you for all your help. Sincerely, David

  • Swf File doesn't display in chrome but displays in firefox

    Hi there, I made a swf file and embed it in my website.
    URL: http://worldwidefilipinoalliance.com
    It displays properly in the mozilla firefox but not in my google chrome.
    Is this problem related to the browser or the way that I embeded my swf file.
    Can you give me a tip on how to solve this.
    Thank you and regards!

    Your embedding code appears to be minimal, as well as the old version, which could be the problem.  The more modern embedding code will use either swfobject or other javascript-based coding.  If you can get a hold of a newer version of Flash you should let Flash generate an html page and then copy and paste the embedding code from that into your html page.

  • New import from imoviehd6 file doesn't display in preview while skimming

    All i get is plain box. I have imported several hour of footage so far without any problems. I have seen others have different preview issues or it might be related. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot? This is my first real issue with imovie. I was holding breath until now. Nothing has changed on my system other than i downloaded JES video cleaner.
    I also want to add that if if drag footage to a project i can then see the footage.

    Hello, Sheryl,
    Yes, iMovie 9 is supposed to save everything you do because it is designed to keep all the originals intact and just create references to your changes/edits. And, it is supposed to remember and 'save' all your edits to your project when you close it. However, if you have a crash or one of those 'iMovie has unexpectedly quit' episodes, all your edits from after the last save are lost. Another reason to like iMovie 6--you can save your movie whenever you want. Some people have experience loss of edits in iM 8/9 even if doing everything correctly; no crashes, but the new edits were not there when iMovie was reopened. I havent used it so I cannot speak from experience....just from reading here.
    And, I have been following your posts with Steve Mullen's re: quality of videos--what settings, interlacing, etc. It is very informative....I don't have to ask anything because you posted either my questions or answers to them!

  • Flash content doesn't display in browsers

    I recently updated Dreamweaver to 8.0.2. I updated an .swf

    Does anyone know what's going on?

    Did you upload the Scripts folder that DW places into your

  • Flash CS5.5, SWF file doesn't load TLF text.

    Hiya,
    I just downloaded the trial version of Flash 5.5. I was trying to a tutorial from  Adobe Classroom in a Book: Flash Professional CS5. I was trying to do lesson 7 which is all about TLF text.
    In the tutorial, you insert text that is TLF text. Most of the text doesn't do anything (it's Read-Only). But there is one area that is supposed to be a Mortgage Calcualtor and functions with ActionScript.
    I inserted the ActionScript that makes the Mortgage Calculator text do the proper math. My problem happens when I try to test the movie: the SWF file doesn't display any of the TLF text, and the Output panel gives me the following:
    ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable TLFTextField is not defined.
    ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable TCMText is not defined.
    I am confused because there aren't any variables with those names in any of the files of the tutorial, or in the ActionScript I entered. Where is Flash getting those variable names from? O_o
    I even turned the text back into Classic text to see if that helped, but I still get the error. Could this be a glitch with Flash 5.5?
    Thanks for your time.
    Tara

    That file has all the menu items in it.
    A crossdomain file is use as a security measure. Perhaps I see it because I use a webpage on my own server to display your SWF file. Check to see if that's the case with you.
    But I gave it another try.
    I downloaded the menu.swf and the xml file and stored them in a folder. I use a custom webpage and stored that in the same folder.
    Instead of the full URL is simply use the filename.
    <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000" id="obj1"
    codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/ flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" border="0"
    width="870" height="800">
    <param name="movie" value="menu.swf">
    <param name="quality" value="High">
    <embed src="menu.swf"
    pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" name="obj1"
    width="870" height="150"></object>
    That works.
    When I paste the <object> code in the HTML Snippet and use relative URLs to the menu in the folder mentioned above, I noticed that the XMLHorizontalMenu.xml is expected to be in the Pagename_files folder. That folder belongs to the iWeb pages it is embedded in. When I put the xml file there, the menu works.
    You have to check the design of the menu.swf file.
    Otherwise, store all files in a separate folder and use a <iframe> to embed it.

  • CR 8.0 pie chart/graph doesn't appear in web browser

    Post Author: kevind
    CA Forum: Charts and Graphs
    Hi,
    I am using a CR 8.0 report (containing data in tabular format and Pie/Bar graph) with Web component Server.
    In design mode (by entering the parameters) when i view my report through the CR IDE then i can view my report perfectly with the pie and bar graphs.
    However,once i call the same report through the web component server, by my JSP page, the report appears with the data but the page containing the piechart/Bar graph doesn't appear. (i am using the ActiveXViewer)
    When i remove the chart/graph, then all the pages are displayed in my browser (IE) properly, but if i add back the pie chart then the page on which this should appear -  doesnt display.
    Has anyone faced a similar issue? In design it displays with data but once called through webcomponent server it fails?
    Thanks,
    Kevin D

    Hello Subramaya,
    currently I am working on a small article in the Wiki area of the ITS (Wiki, ITS HowTos): <a href="https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/HOME/UsingSAPGUIforHTMLinsteadofanIAC">Using SAP GUI for HTML instead of an IAC or EWT service</a>.
    Also see notes 1010519, "SAP GUI for HTML: Simplified Title Area Without Menu and OK Code" and 959417, "Integrated ITS, Closing Session When Transaction Ends". I am pretty sure that this is exactly what you are looking for.

  • Pie Chart doesn't display all columns

    I set up a simply table and made a bar chart = everything worked out well.
    I selected my table again and clicked on 'make pie chart' but this time it doesn't display all the colums. I really don't know what went wrong here.
    I'd appreciate it very much if some could help me out here.
    Preview Picture: http://cl.ly/1SKg
    Numbers File: http://cl.ly/1SAh

    patte,
    Even though you have selected the entire table to be charted as a Pie Chart, and the table includes three data series, a Pie Chart can only display one series at a time, so it displays the first one; "3. Klasse"
    In "3. Klasse", the values of Schaukel and Drehscheibe are zero, so there is no pie to display.
    Hope this explains the situation for you. To make Pie Charts for the other two series, you would again select the header cells, then hold down the Command key while selecting the other series. Then add another chart. Do this for each series you wish to chart.

  • MHTML file image display

    Hi everybody,
    I work on MS SQL Server 2008.
    I have a SSRS report on which I put images. I set up an Action on which image which call an mhtml file recorded on my SSRS portal.
    When I open my mhtml file for the first time, the images it contains are not displayed and I don't know why?
    How could I fix this problem?
    Thanks a lot
    Pete

    Hi Pete,
    In Reporting Services, we can add images to a report from external source, database tables, or images embedded into the report definition. From your description, do you mean that the report displays images well in Report Manager but the exported MHTML file
    cannot display the images properly?
    If so, the issue might occur if the Internet Explorer (IE) blocks some contents of the MHTML file. At this time, I suggest you to check the IE security settings. Please refer to the steps below:
    In the Internet Explorer, click "Tools", and select "Internet Options".
    Click "Advanced" tab, and then check the "Allow active content to run in files on My Computer" option under "Security" item. Click “OK”.
    Then, restart the IE to see if this help.
    For more information about adding an image to a report, please see:
    Adding Images to a Report
    If I have something misunderstood, please point out and elaborate this issue with more detail. Then, I will try to reproduce your scenario and help you to solve the issue.

  • HtmlHelp doesn't display my chm file for HH_DISPLAY_TOC

    Hi there,
    I have an MFC application to display a CHM help file
    generated from
    RoboHelp. I override WinHelp to map HELP_* macros to HH_*
    macros such as
    HELP_CONTENTS to HH_DISPLAY_TOC and HELP_CONTEXT to
    HH_HELP_CONTEXT, and call
    htmlhelp API to open the CHM file. At runtime,
    HH_HELP_CONTEXT works because
    pressing F1 key does bring up the CHM file. However,
    selecting 'Contents'
    menu item in 'Help' menu of main menubar has nothing
    happened. The CHM file
    doesn't appear. I noticed that HH_DISPLAY_TOC definition in
    htmlhelp.h has
    the following line:
    "#define HH_DISPLAY_TOC 0x0001 // not currently implemented"
    It comments as not currently implemented. However, I didn't
    find any clue in
    MSDN to indicate it not currently implemented.
    Does anyone have any clue on the problem and any workaround?
    Thank you

    I should preface this by saying I am not a programmer ;-) ,
    but I had this exact issue with our software program. We could not
    get the Help to be called from the menu. We create the software gui
    using Delphi 2005 and we use HTMLHelpViewer2005 to get Delphi to
    recognize the .CHM file.
    This is the code that our programmer ended up using:
    htmlhelp( MenuMainForm.Handle, 'path\ourhelp.chm',
    HH_HELP_FINDER, 0);
    path\ourhelp.chm would be the location of your .CHM file :-)
    I hope that helps you in some way, have faith because it can
    be done ...
    Thanks,
    ~Jessica

  • The Video app in OS7 update doesn't display file names.

    The Video app in OS7 doesn't display file names under the image.
    How can I identify my video files without having to open each file to access the file name.
    Is there something I am missing or is this just an omission in the OS7 upgrade.
    I am a music teacher and this lack of file names makes the app virtually useless for use in the classroom.

    Agreed. This has been a problem with TV Shows in the Videos app since forever, but at least it used to put the name under Movies. Now instead fixing it for TV Shows in iOS 7 they've done the opposite and made Movies fail the same way as TV Shows always have!
    Apparently it still lists the title for Home Videos, so the best work around for now is probably to reclassify all your Movies as Home Videos. Sigh.
    Apple's Videos app development team seem to be unaware that iTunes can store and play movies and TV shows that don't come from the iTunes Store, videos that don't have covers, and that need to display the names and other info from iTunes for them. They also seem to not understand that the default grid view for videos is totally inadequate for users with scores or hundreds of movies and TV shows that they home share to their iPads and iPhones from iTunes. The Videos app needs a list view at least, as well as a grid view.
    All they have to do is look at how the Apple TV handles the same files and meta-data from iTunes and provide something similar for the iPad and iPhone. Why after all these years they still don't get that I have no idea.
