SSRS Reporting Account login issues

I have a SQL Reporting Services instance being used for ConfigMgr 2012 R2.  There is a SQL login with the format "DOMAIN-NET\ReportDataSourceUser" that is mapped to the reporting databases and the site database.  If I use the account
"DOMAIN-NET\ReportDataSourceUser" for the reporting services point account, reports will not run.  If I change the account for the data source to "domain.net\ReportDataSourceUser", then reports execute successfully.  However,
ConfigMgr complains that it cannot find the login for "domain.net\ReportDataSourceUser".  I don't get why that is occurring.  Any thoughts?

did you check if domain  DOMAIN-NET
exist ?  DOMAIN-NET!=domain.net
. You can check what logins created from SQL Server management studio under security node for specific database
where did they look for domain.net\ReportDataSourceUser
account ?

  • SSRS Report Viewer display issues after KB2888505 and now KB2898785

    After patch KB2888505 both IE 9 and IE 10 started displaying cropped images with horizontal scroll bars when viewing SSRS Reports.  These reports functioned and fit the screen without scroll bars prior to this patch and returns
    to normal once the patch is uninstalled.  There is no compatibility mode icon in the address bar and I have tried all browser modes in the F12 Developer Tools Menu with no change.  Rolling back KB2888505 was a temp fix for my
    users until KB2898785 was installed reverting back to the same cropped reports with the scroll bar.  The only versions of IE in my environment are 9 and 10 and upgrading to 11 is not an option at this time.  Others have reported this same issue so
    maybe we can get more visibility on TechNet.

    These two KB include too many Individual updates. It's hard to figure out which exact update lead to this issue.
    If you make sure the issue is caused by these updates package. The simple and easier way is to uninstall them.

  • SSRS report viewer webpart issues in SharePoint 2013

    Even though SSRS Add in has been installed on both the frontends which are in the same SharePoint 2013 farm, SSRS report viewer web part does not render any reports from one of the servers and on that server it just asks to configure the webpart by giving
    an option to open the tool pane...
    I am really not sure why it is not picking up the report RDL configuration, which is working fine from the other server.
     Any help on this would be really appreciated.

    Run the SharePoint Products and Technologies Wizard on this server.  If simply running it does not fix it, remove the server from the farm and then re-join it, using the wizard.

  • Google account login issues

    I am recieving the error unknown error when trying to add my google account to the touchpad. I can login fine through the browser but am unable to add it to email, chat, etc...
    Troubleshooting I've done:
    1) Waited a couple days and tried again, same issue.
    2) Tried with a secondary google account i have, this one logged in fine.
    3) Changed secondary account to have same password as the primary one that is receiving the error. Unknown Error received.
    4) Changed secondary account to use various combinations of special characters from the primary account. Received error a couple times. It would appear that using a ~ in combination with ( or even )  whether there are characters in between the two, causes the account to give an unknown error. I didn't try every key combination with the tilde, but at the least the 2 above do not work.

    Gmail account issues are discussed in this very recent thread.  You will have to install a patch written by a homebrew developer to get Gmail accounts to sync properly.
    AOL account sync has also been discussed here, have you tried the Search function?  My AIM messaging account works fine, but I don't use AOL anything else.

  • HP account login issues - just like everyone else - rant alert

    Rant  Are there any plans for HP to consolidate their various systems to allow you to use the same acct login (email/password) across the different platforms (cloud, eprint, etc)?  Being able to recover the account information (passwords, login id, etc) on one system and yet still not be able to use this same email on another system is idiotic.  Either consolidate them into one or separate them completely.  The current situation is a major headache for the consumer.  /Rant 
    I'm trying to setup eprint.  My password is apparently incorrect for the email being used, but the system will not send a reset link to that address because the address is in use by another HP system.  ???  My notes indicate I have a cloud acct associated to this email address.  The password I have on file does not work there.  Attempts to reset the password through the cloud system have been unsuccessful.  The system responds that a password reset link will be sent if the email address is on file, but no links have been sent so far.  I was able to reset the password on this forum for this same email address, but alas this password is not fanned out to the other systems so I'm still stuck.

    The issue you're experiencing is most likely due to an old Snapfish account registered under your email address. ePrintCenter and Snapfish account information is stored in the same place and I've seen this conflict before. You will need to go to http://www.snapfish.com/snapfish/welcome, click the "Sign In" in the top right hand corner of the page and then click the "forgot password" link and enter the email address that is causing your problems, you should receive an email from Snapfish that will let you create a new password there. Once you've created a new password for Snapfish, try to Sign In on ePrintCenter (http://www.eprintcenter.com/) using your email address and the new password you created for Snapfish.

  • User account login issues

    i was using my macbook pro and i was log off to the login window automatically. since then i am unable to login again to that user but other user accounts can be used. anytime i try it seems its loging in but shows a flash blank screen and then back to the login window. pls i need help because all my files are in that user account and cannot even copy them to other user accounts when i tried, pls help me.

    You didn't transfer over the Microsoft User Data folder from the old user account.

    We currently are running CS5 and having issues logging anyone in other than Admin.  Is anyone else having issues looging in and dtarting Premiere with network accounts?  Better yet has any found a fix if this is a common problem?

    Yes, BOTH are common problems
    Premiere is designed to require ALL of a computer's resources... which means running with an Admin account
    Premiere is NOT designed to run on a network

    Try calling CS 8a-7p M-F, 8a-5p Sat, your local time at 1-800-288-2020.  If you happen to still have your 4 digit passcode, they might help.  I made mine the same as my ATM pin so I would never forget it.

  • Using Firefox, I can login and browse my financial institution (NFCU) but I cannot pay bills. When I click the bill pay tab, the tab loads 66% and then hangs. Has anyone else reported having this issue?

    Using Firefox, I can login and browse my financial institution website (NFCU) but I cannot pay bills. When I click the bill pay tab, the tab loads about 66% and then hangs (loading). I have let it load until NFCU asks me if I want to cancel the session, a much to long of a load time. Has anyone else reported having this issue with NFCU or Mozilla Firefox 3.6.18?
    I have also posed the question to NFCU, currently awaiting response and will share what was given.

    I try to change the page limit and break option but the result doesn’t get splitted

  • SSRS Reporting Issue

    HI All,
            I had a custom requirement in SSRS which has three Roles in the Databases.
            Example 
            Roles :  Role1, Role2,Role3
            Folders : Folder1,Folder2,Folder3
            Role1 Should be able to see all the Folders Considering him as an highest privilaged user and Role2 Should be able to see folder 2 and Folder 3 and Role3 should be able to see only Folder3 in Report Manager.
            Issue here is i had more than 600 users who belongs to Role2 and 1000's of users for Role3 So it is difficult for me to give permissions by having AD Groups as users might get added day by day and
    we end up having resource for monitoring newly added users and giving permission to them.
           Instead i am looking out to implement custom authorization, based on the Logged in user i can go back to database get the Roles associated with the user and Display the folders based on the Roles.
           is it possible to implement it using SSRS Custom Authorization, if so can some one please guide me further on how to implement it.

    Reporting Services can be extended to support Forms Authentication using the security extensibility interfaces available through the Reporting Services API. Forms Authentication requires that a person is present to enter credentials. For unattended applications
    that communicate directly with the Reporting Services Web service, Forms Authentication must be combined with a custom authentication scheme. We can add Forms Authentication by deploying a custom security extension to the report server. For more information

  • Issues in exporting SSRS report to PDF format in Report Server - Blank spaces are deleted

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a problem in exporting SSRS report to PDF format. It deletes all the blank spaces when I use bullet in a Text box and try to export to PDF formt in Report Server . For example
    •             Project submitted to the TRC
    Result in PDF format:
         • ProjectsubmittedtotheTRC
    I also noted that when I try to export to PDF in Visual Stuio 2005 (Business Intelligence development studio), it does not delete any blank spaces and shows the correct aligned Data in PDF format.
    Please help me as it is frustrating a lot

    Was there ever a solution found for this as i have the same issue.
    When bullet point is entered in a field all the spaces are removed when exported to PDF
    i tried exporting to excel and it does not remove spaces, however this is no use to me as it needs to be in PDF
    Using IE 7 (Don't think the browser has anything to do with it as this happened via a subscription)
    Didn't know SSRS had specific Service Packs, i though they came as patches to SQL Server (SQL Server is on Service Pack 3)
    This should be easy to replicate all you need to do is copy text containing a bullet point into a sql server database field and then add this field to a report export to pdf and the spaces are gone

  • Date issue when exporting data to Excel from SSRS report, where date is less than 1/1/1900

    Hi,
    I am using SSRS report to display the data from database. In that data, One of the column is DATE. when I am exporting to Excel all that dates are displaying fine except 1/1/1800 12:00 AM. Instead of 1/1/1800 12:00 AM it is displaying XXXXXXXXXXXXXX values.
    Please help me to fix the issue.

    We can use Cstr() function to convert the Date type data to String data. Suppose we have a field named DateTime, please refer to the expression below:
    =Cstr(Fields!DateTime.Value)
    Then we can get a string type data. There is an article about SSRS expression, you can refer to it.

    Hi All,
    We have developed and deployed a SSRS report in Project Server BI Center using performance dashboard, but half of the report only visible i.e. it is showing horizontal scroll bar at the bottom as below. I tried to change the web part width and height but
    there is no difference. I also tried to change the performance point dashboard height and width but faced same issue.

    As Per me their is not way to deal this issue. When you use web part and deploy SSRS  RDL in project server horizontal bar display in the bottom if display area is not enough to display the data.
    whatever height or width you choose in web part property it will come.
    We have to live with this problem .

  • Issue while opening SSRS Report with Oracle as Datasource in Report Manager

    I deployed SSRS report in Report Manager but I am unable to generate that report. Am getting following error.
    Is it problem with datasource in report manager? I am not able to change the Data source type to Oracle. It is showing Microsoft SQL Server. How can I change it, no other options are coming except Microsoft SQL Server. Please help.

     When I deploy them in localhost, and try to run report in report manager, it is not showing any data source type in drop down list except MS SQL Server. I do not know why it is showing in BIDS and not in report manager!!!

    Based on my test, I can specify the data source type as Oracle after deploy the report to Report Manager and open the report Data source propertity page. If the report use the shared data source, you should check the specify data source at the Data Source
