Stand alone installer for Yosemite

Is there a stand alone installer for Yosemite? I have extremely slow internet access and the download fails repeatedly from Software Update.
I would like to download at work and bring to my computer as taking my computer to work is not an option.

Is it still possible to download a stand-alone installer for Flash Player (or any Adobe product)?
I really, really, really, really have NO interstes in any download manager. All I want is an installer I can just download. There used to be an ftp site that had up to date software that could simply and easily be downloaded, but I couldn't find any current software on that site. Where should I be looking?

OK, Has anyone got the QT stand alone installer to work that has a problem getting IT6 to work also?

and now am stuck with an old version of QT and no version of IT! Can't update iPod, can't do crap. How slow can Apple be to fixing whatever bug is in IT6?! It's obvious that alot of people are having trouble and many of us are having the exact same or similar problems. Apparently a call to support is no help.

I didget QT stand alone to install. I had the error -3 message. I unistalled itunes and quicktime. Then I reinstalled using my orginal ipod disc. I then was asked to upgrade to ipod 6 or something. Which I did. Still got the error -3. Then I got the QT stand alone to install by it self and every thing works great now. There was some thing stating if I wanted to "Unistall QT for windows" I said yes. There were some error associated with removing "QT for Windows" during the install but after that it works great. It took something like 20 min. for it to download when it took itunes only 7 min. to download earlier.

"Stand-alone" Installer Problems

Hi there.
I was hoping that there may be someone here who can advise me with a problem we are having with the stand-alone installer.
The problems we are having suggest that it is in fact not a stand-alone installer, although hopefully someone can prove me wrong!
After ADE is installed, using the stand-alone installer, no matter how many timnes I attempt to load a document, the DE detector tells me that ADE is not installed, and asks me to install. This is a never-ending loop. That's what happens in IE7.
In Firefox, the detector does detect it, but halfway through the install it fails.
The result of this is we can't open DRM protected eBooks on any of our open-access PCs due to ADE not working, even though we have installed it using the stand-alone installer.
All PCs are XP SP3, browsers are IE7 and FF3.0, and users log into the PCs with basic 'User' privileges. Student's 'My Documents' folder is mapped to a network drive when they log on.
Can anyone help?

Open the "Console" application from Application/Utilities folder.
Select System.log from the log list on the left.
In the String Matching filter field, type Adobe AIR or Adobe Muse.
Odds are the console will display the path to where AIR is finding a beta version of Muse.
If that's not the case, pleaseelect all, and the copy and paste the log into a text file or e-mail and send it to us at [email protected] along with a link to this thread (for context).

Go to About This Mac in the Apple menu.
Click on the Version number in the window that opens. It will change to Build number. What's the build number?
Also, what error message do you see, or any other helping description of what happens when you try to update.

Independent Stand-alone calculation for each Crosstab

Hi All,
In my report, I have two crosstabs in two different report header sections. In the first crosstab, I have Division and Company chars.
In the second crosstab I have Category and Company chars. I have one key figure (KF) in both crosstabs.
My expectation is to see independent, stand-alone results for these two crosstabs. But this is not the case..
Sum of Company X in the second crosstab (which is for category level) is displayed in the first crosstab (division level) for Company X.
But in my scenario, Company X has a different value in division level..
When I remove the second crosstab (category level) and refresh the report, then I see correct values for Company X in division level.
How can I tell the CR that each crosstab should run separately, without being influenced from other ones?
Below, I tried to show the issue..
Crosstab1:
Division A...........100
Company X..........55 -
> This is sum of below crosstab values (for company X).
Crosstab2:
Category C........60
Company X........20
Company Y........10
Category D........40
Company X.......35
Company Y.......5

Hi Ozan,
One of your crosstab will need to be a subreport. The reason they both show the same result is they are both using the same recordset. Your second crosstab needs to be run as a result of the Company in Report1.
Try creating a group in your report and drop the first Crosstab into the GroupHeader.
Now create a new report that matches your second Crosstab. Insert this new report as a subreport into the GroupFooter.
That should give you the result your looking for.

No Stand alone GWCHECK for Linux PO

I need to use a stand alone GWCHECK for a linux based PO. The GWADMIN version does not seem to work with the RESETMAINTFLAG on the user as I need to put in the database name.
Anybody know if there is a stand alone version of GWCHECK for a LINUX based Server?

We include the binaries as part of the base server install. After installing the server install, you can find the binaries at the following location:
/opt/novell/groupwise/agents/bin/gwcheck
/opt/novell/groupwise/agents/bin/gwcheckt

Question about bootable USB installer for Yosemite

After having wi-fi issues last month, I reinstalled Yosemite (clean install). I only mention that so that it is understood that I have a pretty good understanding of how this process works.
But I am old school and I like physical media for various reasons......not least of which would be in the event I ever have future problems getting online to obtain the download from the app store. So this evening, I decided to create a USB bootable installer for Yosemite. I used the following web site, which is quite thorough in explaining the process:

I followed the instructions and successfully created my bootable media using a USB drive. But because I wanted to put this newly created bootable media to the test (without actually reinstalling anything), I just restarted the computer (command R) to ensure I could boot to the USB installer. I then clicked on disk utilities and noticed the following folders (and subfolders):
Macintosh HD
---Macintosh HD
31.95 GB PNY USB
--Install OS X Yosemite
disk 3
--OS X Install ESD
disk 4
--OS X Base System
Now for my question, does anyone know why I have these multiple folders on the USB drive? I can understand the first set (Macintosh HD and its subfolder) being my current OS X setup. And the second setup of folders (31.95 GB PNY USB --Install OS X Yosemite) being the actual USB installer. But what's up with those last two sets of folders called disk 3--OS X install ESD and disk 4--OX X Base System? Does anyone know? Perhaps one of those folder sets under disk 3 or disk 4 would be a hidden partition? But why both disk 3 and disk 4 folders?
I just want to make sure everything is correct here; and that I am good to go with the USB bootable media! I carefully followed the instructions using the above link to create this USB drive.

my process just completed: here is what I see when it is done... (the first you saw in my earlier post. It took about 15-20 minutes.
To continue we need to erase the disk at /Volumes/Recovery.
If you wish to continue type (Y) then press return: y

How can I download a full installer for Yosemite?

I updated to the latest version of Yosemite from App Store/Updates but I would like to have a full installer available on my system "just in case."
However, when I go select OS X Yosemite from the Featured section and click Download all I see is a spinning gear next to the navigation arrows in the App Store and the actual download never starts.
I do have a full installer for an earlier version, "Install OS X Yosemite" ver. 1.6.5. If I use that, will it install the latest version?

Clicked Download for that Oct 01 purchase, and saw spinning gear for a short time, then it disappeared. Download button now grayed out.

Stand alone client for remote EJB corba error

Regarding problem below, I've checked System env variables
that weblogic server is using for CORBA classes:

org.omg.CORBA.ORBSingletonClass=weblogic.corba.orb.ORB
org.omg.CORBA.ORBClass weblogic.corba.orb.ORB
javax.rmi.CORBA.PortableRemoteObjectClass=weblogic.iiop.PortableRemoteObjectDelegateImpl
But these are server classes and not found in wlclient.jar and wljmsclient.jar. What classes should be used for client? What needs to be set in order to get successful remote RMI/EJB call to weblogic server?

I have a stand alone spring client for simple stateless session EJB deployed on weblogic 9.2. I'm using spring (jdk 1.5) to call this remote EJB and the only way I can succeed is to have full weblogic.jar in my bootstrap classpath. Otherwise I get corba error:

Interestingly, within same client I have JMS call to weblogic JMS and that fails if weblogic.jar is in boot classpath. Getting rid of weblogic.jar from boot classpath works if I have wlclient.jar and wljmsclient.jar in regular classpath (as per weblogic docs). I would think that for stand alone client all I would need is to weblogic client jars, why should I need to have full weblogic.jar?
I can't get those work together with same classpath. I wonder if anybody has some pointers and/or advice. I was looking to set system parameters for corba for weblogic client that maybe could help:
org.omg.CORBA.ORBClass
org.omg.CORBA.ORBSingletonClass
javax.rmi.CORBA.UtilClass
javax.rmi.CORBA.StubClass

I'm stuck exactly with the same issue while trying to port my application from weblogic to jboss.
I tried to specify different ORB implementations (JacORB, OpenORB) for jvm option org.omg.CORBA.ORBClass, but JBoss couldn't get them instantiated. Native Sun implementation which is used in JBoss by default and can be instantiated, apparently is not fully compatible with weblogic security module.
So did you manage to find out the solution?

Check your Windows Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs for anything related to Yahoo and for anything that you don't recognize (sometimes "things like that" are named differently that what you might expect).
Then remove it or "them".
Also check the Firefox Addons Manager. {Ctrl + Shft + A}
