Startup issue - Process 'Starting Framework'
Hi
I seem to have a startup issue with NM2004s. I get a Half Green/ Half Yellow icon in the MMC. The 01 instance is always yellow and never progresses onto green. I have a process status of 'starting framework'.
Anyone else had this issue?
Cheers
Ian
Hi Ian,
I just installed the J2E on a laptop that already has a NSP instance.I am facing the same issue on the J2E.Do you remember if you could resolve this and how?
Any hints would help.
Thank you

I have a problem with system startup. My MacBook is pretty much brand new and the system is not cluttered or anything. And still the startup-process freezes even before the apple logo appears, so I just get the grey screen and that's it. I have read about other startup issues, but in those cases the computer at least booted until the apple logo was shown, so my case is slightly different.
After unplugging my external USB hard drive startup works. It also works when I plug it into the other USB-slot. Other devices plugged into the problematic slot (keyboard, USB-stick) work and do not cause problems during startup.
Any experiences with this problem? Would you say the USB-slot is broken in any way? Is it something that can be fixed?
Ordinarily, I would just use the other slot and be done with it. Since the computer is brand new, however, I'd prefer to be on the safe side.
Thanks in advance,
TimoHi
+"Would you say the USB-slot is broken in any way?"+
Possibly? Running an Apple Hardware Test might say?
+"Is it something that can be fixed?"+
Yes. It should be covered under the standard 1 year warranty regardless. Provided the fault is not down to wilful or accidental damage it will be covered under the warranty.
You could connect the external USB hard drive in the affected slot an restart the mac in verbose mode (command+v) at restart. This should display error messages - if any - at the point where the start-up stalls. Possibly giving a clue as to what it's having a problem with? You may see an I/OKit error problem or something similar?

OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.5.0) - Issue with starting Node Manager
Hi,
Have anyone faced an issue with starting Node Manager in OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.5.0)? OS is 64 bit Linux, WebLogic is 10.3.5. I used the software-install method and followed by running config.sh. Everything completed successfully. I updated the catalog and rpd location in the FMW control screen.
To get it activated I bounced services and when I try to start Node Manager it gives below error --

I see the same issue reported in ML OBIEE 11g - Node manager fails to start upon upgrade [ID 1329442.1] and WebLogic Server: Node Manager Startup is Failing with java.io.IOException: Unsupported cypher suite [ID 1329260.1] I tried to modify commEnv.sh. But it didnt help me.
Please let me know if anyone have faced similar issue and what exactly did you do to resolve it.

Edited by: Cherrish on Aug 30, 2011 3:14 PMHi,
There are Two types of Cipher suites --- Certicom Cipher Suite and SunJSSE Equivalent Cipher Suite. And with Weblogic 10.3.5, you are using Sun JSSE Cipher Suite, and by default Node Manager uses the Certicom Cipher Suite.
In the nodemanager.properties, Add CipherSuite=SSL_RSA_EXPORT_WITH_RC4_40_MD5, save and restart Node Manager.

Imac startup issues- green vertical lines changing to grey screen
Help! I think my 27" i7 iMac just died!
Yesterday morning, I had a kernal panic while using Safari. Restarted, ran disk utility twice. A bunch of "library shoyuld be r- instead of -rw" type errors that could not be repaired were found both times.
After second round of computer restart/disk utility, the computer started displaying green lines running vertically down the grey screen.
After around a minute and a half, the screen became grey only, no green lines- no apple logo.
I attempted to restart holding down the shift key, I saw the startup/repair process "kick in" (the horizontal repair bar running across the bottom of the screen).
Once that was finished, I got about a minute and a half worth of "spinning cursor" and then a pretty blue-lined screen (of death)
(NOTE--bright white lights are flash from camera- not on screen)
I cannot access anything now. I know that I am running whatever the current version of OS 10.8X is now.
I am stuck- anybody got any ideas?BrBea wrote:
I have to have my serial number to give them to start the call. I have no way to access the serial number on the computer because I cannot advance past the grey/blue screen to access it. Is there a way to get the serial number on this computer off of the hardware itself?
Look on the bottom of the stand, Apple used to print them there I don't know if they still do or not. Also if you have the original box it's printed on that too.
In addition if you click about this Mac and click the version of OS X installed a couple of times the serial number will appear. In addition you can run System Information and get the serial number there too.
Finally it's not going to do much good to call Apple, you need to take the machine in for repair at your local Apple Store or AASP. I suspect your graphics card has failed. -
Jdbc sender adapter hangs and starts showing "Processing Started" forever
Dear ,
We are facing some issues with jdbc sender adapter channel on production system
Environment : XI 3.0 SP 20 + HP-UX 11.23 ia64 + Oracle 10.2
Sometimes it hangs and starts showing "Processing Started" forever on communication channel monitoring .
There is no error log for this.
If i stop it and then start it , no use.
If i copied this to a new one then it works.
I have found few SAP note like 1078420,1083488 , but my system is already at higher patch level.
Can you please advise me something as we are facing in production frequently.
Regards,
SandeepHi Sandeep,
This problem even we too faced in our project and thought of many stupid things finally found that the JDBC adapter is LOCKED.
Check in the Visual Admin >Cluster> "LOCKING ADAPTER"
we get a option of Display Locks .Check for an entry with
NAME : $XIDBAD.JDBC2XI
reset the locks and restart the CC ,now it works fine.
Note 1083488 - XI FTP/JDBC sender channel stop polling indefinitely(04/04S)

Processing Started in JDBC communication Channel?
Dear Friends,
in JDBC Sender Channel i am facing one issue, i.e the data coming from DB but in PI/PO 7.4 data is not reached and channel is showing Green color and log is showing processing started. But as per my experience may the data is locked in server level. PI 7.0 for this type of issues we are deleted the locks in adapter level in visual admin. but 7.4 version is not having Visual Administrator. Please suggest how to resolve this issue in sap pi 7.4?
Note: Previously it is working fine.
please find the screen shots for your reference.
Regards,
Kiran PolaniDear Friends,
i seen ur answers, but if it is production that is not possible to take restart ther server, for this visual administrator -->adapter locks i deleted db locks previously in pi 7.0 but i need solution for 7.4.
2) http://hostname:port/nwa/locks as suggested by naveeen, for this type of issue dblocks are not available in this url location.
and i have check this also no use and stoped communication channel and started so many times no use and maintained DIsconnect from Database after processing each message in channel level

FTPs - Status stuck in "Processing started"
I am running PI7.0 SP10.
I have a BPM conencting to a FTPs server to process multiple files into variable directories. All works well - apart from...
It is connecting to the Server okay, but not actually processing.
In the Message monitoring, it says - Processing started
Here is the audit log... The names have been changed to protect the innocent!
Success Message successfully received by messaging system. Profile: XI URL: http://server.fqdn:5<SYSNO>00/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI Credential (User): XIISUSER
Success Using connection File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System. Trying to put the message into the receive queue.
Success Message successfully put into the queue.
Success The message was successfully retrieved from the receive queue.
Success The message status set to DLNG.
Success Delivering to channel: FTP_Receiver_EmployeeLookUp
Success MP: entering
Success MP: processing local module localejbs/CallSapAdapter
Success File adapter receiver: processing started; QoS required: ExactlyOnce
Success File adapter receiver channel FTP_Receiver_EmployeeLookUp: start processing: party " ", service "XE_TST_3RD_FTP_001"
Success Connect to FTP server "ftp.ftp.ftp.ftp", directory "/variable/"
This is stuck in processing...
I have spoken to the "owners" of the ftp site...
In the their logs, they can see the connection, and "session started".
Has anyone come across this before? How can this be fixed/released and actually process?Barry:
I was watching your thread from the day you posted since we had the same issue
Even we have the same issue for the past month..we tried all sort of solutions to get rid of the problem but were not able to....its still exist..we have logged a ticket to SAP support and waiting for them
for the time being we used "Availability Time Planning" to schedule the polling which is like forcing the channel to wake up and die in the time interval we want....
(sometimes even it stops but not as frequent as the above)
if you find permanent solution to your problem let me know -

Issue Processing Account Dimension When Number of Levels Decreases
Hello.
We have an issue processing the account dimension. It started at 8 levels, then decreased to 6 levels. However, the processing errors out. If we add some dummy members to bring it back to 8 levels, then it process fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks, NancyHi Nancy,
the numbers of levels is not important.
I think the changes done into your dimensions are wrong and adding dummy members is doing correction of that error.
To be able to understand the issue I need to know what version of BPC are you using and it will be good to see also the dimension.
Do you have more than one hierarchy?

I have my MBP for 3 weeks now and normally leave it on all the time (on and off the AC) For the most part it will wake up from sleep just fine.
In the last 3 nights I turned the MBP off before I went to sleep.
When I tried to boot in the morning the machine makes the regular DVD noise but it will keep doing this noise for 3 times, the light on the front will turn on but the machine will not start. There is also no startup chime. No video. When I pressed the power button to turn it off and then on, it will do the same.
I had been thrugh nightmare with a first generation MB so I had an idea on what to do -- I reset the PRAM and it starts fine.
This has been happening 3 mornings in a row. (I don't have anything connected to the MB other then the AC adapter.
I repaired permissions, went throguh the hardware test, took the battery out, checked the Apple website for firmware updates, and although there was firmware update 1.2 for MBP on 11/13, after launching it, I get a messge that tells me that my computer doesn't need the update.
I get all kinds of weird behaviors and the MBP will become very slugish... the highlight was today while burning a DVD in Toast none of my applications will launch, every application I would click on the dock will just bounce about 20 times and then stop. I couldn't even relaunch the Finder and ended up pressing the power button to force it to shut down. mind you, It restarted fine.
I read in one OLD thread here on the Apple forums that someone had similar problems with a MB and it was resolved by the firmware update.
Does anyone has similar issues or have any idea why my machine will act like this? I rather try to resolve it myself before I call Apple care or go to the Apple store.

MacBook Pro C2D Mac OS X (10.4.8)Thanks for the response.
Yes, I reinstalled the OS (clean install)
The issues with starting up in the morning still consistant.
It appears that if I shut down and restart right away, there is no issue- it's ok, but if the machne is off for awhile it will not boot on the first time.
I left my MBP off all day and took it to the Apple store after work.
The MBP will not reboot at first which really surprised the guy who claimed to be head technician. He kept insisting that's it's a 3rd party software issue, and I was saying, how come a 3rd party software will affect the booting of the computer? ( you can't even here the chime!)
He suggested that I will go home and clean install OS X again, and this time not to install anything else on it. The test is on. I did a clean reinstall. The machine will be off tonight, and we'll see what will happen in the morning!

JDBC Sender Adapter - NOT FETCHING RECORDS -PROCESSING STARTED
Hello all,
I have set up a JDBC sender adapter .With polling interval as 30 Seconds. Polling is done successfully
but it does not fetch the records .
Valid Data is present in the tables. In the Communication Channel Monitoring log shows :
"Processing Started"
after each poll interval.
Adding to this , it was working fine with the same parameters two days back.
I have enabled the Driver Trace but didnot get any information from Trace.
How to resolve this issue?Any help
Regards
Ganga PrasadHello maheshwari,
Valid Data is there & many records are there to be fetched.
One more thing Normally in the Communication Channel Monitoring
for an JDBC adapter even if there are no records to fetch we get the Log information in detail that :
Polling interval started.
Processing finished successfully
Processing started
Polling interval started.
Processing finished successfully
Processing started
But here in my case am getting only : (polling interval : is 60 Seconds)
2/5/08 8:29:19 AM Processing started
2/5/08 8:28:19 AM Processing started
2/4/08 3:34:54 PM Processing started
2/4/08 3:33:54 PM Processing started
One more observation is that my poll interval is 60 seconds but now it is polling after every 120sec
2/5/08 11:17:31 AM Processing started
2/5/08 11:15:31 AM Processing started
2/5/08 11:13:31 AM Processing started
2/5/08 11:11:31 AM Processing started
I have tried refreshing Cache but no change .

After updating my mac book pro to the osx yosemite.am getting some issues after starting up.as soon as it gets on the destop the screen start blinking and i cant do anything. Please help me!
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
Startup issue when having more than one database on machine
Startup issue when having more than one database on machine:
I’ve installed two databases.
When I shutdown one of the database and try to start it up using
Startup pfile=’…location..’;
I get ora-12514: TNS: listener does not currently know of service rquirest in connect descriptor
when I try it again after 3 seconds, I get a new error, ora-01041: internal error. Hostdef extension doesn’t exist
Shutdown and Startup gave no problems when I had one database. Why am I getting problems when I have two databases?
I’m using: show parameter pfile|spfile; to make sure I have the right parameter locations, so the error shouldn’t be from location.
I’ve never installed two databases on one machine, so maybe I’m making a first-timer’s error.
Anyone know how to get this working, i.e. starting and stopping DB without issues?
Using oracle 11gR2 on Windows 7 64bit, all is working normal.
Thanks,
Ayman

my oracle_sid is set to the name of one of my databases
echo %oracle_sid%
shows me the name of my first database.
Still not working though.
When I start the services of both databases using Services, I can connect and run queries from both of the database.
Edited by: aymanzone on Jun 15, 2011 11:47 AMFirstly ... the Oracle Service for the instance should be started for the DB you are trying to connect or start.
Next ... from the command prompt:
set oracle_sid=<Instance_Name>
sqlplus sys as sysdba
startup pfile='location of the respective db pfile'
Now, if you want to start or connect to another DB which is on the same server (again assuming the Service is STARTED) ...
From the same command prompt session or other ....
set oracle_sid=<Other_Instance_Name>
sqlplus sys as sysdba
startup pfile='location of the respective db pfile'

Process.Start(procStartInfo) error when user cancels
I'm attempting to allow a product to self-elevate but get an error if the user clicks cancel on the security dialog.
I've attempted to error trap this, but it doesn't work.
Dim procStartInfo As New ProcessStartInfo
Dim procExecuting As New Process
With procStartInfo
.UseShellExecute = True
.WorkingDirectory = ("C:\MyDirectory")
.FileName = "MyProductName" & My.Settings.VerInfo.ToString & ".exe"
.WindowStyle = ProcessWindowStyle.Normal
.Verb = "runas" 'add this to prompt for elevation
End With
Try
Process.Start(procStartInfo)
End
Catch ex As Exception
MsgBox("There was an unexpected problem executing the product as an administrator....blah blah")
End
End Try
I'm getting the error at Process.Start(procStartInfo) if the user happens to not choose to click run for the security dialog.
Thanks in advance :-)
Programming is mostly just a hobby for me :)I'm using Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows Desktop, if that helps.
Programming is mostly just a hobby for me :)
I don't know anything about express editions. Or how yours is setup specific to this application. I can not replicate the issue. And it seems as if your Visual Studio is debugging code that is not displayed in the code window. Since when using the TryCatch
my VS 2012 does not have the same issue. Until I remove the try catch.
It's almost like your VS is not building the code displayed. But debugging some previous code which doesn't have the try catch.
Regardless you may want to upgrade to
Visual Studio Community wth Update 4 which is free. And probably does everything all Visual Studio Express editions can do and whatever some of Visual Studio Professional can do.
"Download Visual Studio Community for a free, full-featured IDE with powerful coding productivity features, cross-platform mobile development tools for Windows, iOS and Android, and access to thousands of extensions. This edition of Visual Studio
is available at no cost for non-enterprise application development.
Sign in to Visual Studio within 30 days with your Microsoft account to synchronize your settings across multiple machines and register your product. "
Supported operating systems
Windows 8.1 (x86 and x64)
Windows 8 (x86 and x64)
Windows 7 SP1 (x86 and x64)
Windows Server 2012 R2 (x64)
Windows Server 2012 (x64)
Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (x64)
Hardware requirements
1.6 GHz or faster processor
1 GB of RAM (1.5 GB if running on a virtual machine)
20 GB of available hard disk space
5400 RPM hard disk drive
DirectX 9-capable video card that runs at 1024 x 768 or higher display resolution
Additional requirements
This version of Visual Studio works best with
Internet Explorer 10 or higher. If Internet Explorer 10 is not installed on your computer,
some features might not work as expected.
KB2883200 (available through Windows Update) is required
For Windows Phone development:
Windows Phone 8.0 development requires Windows 8.1 (x64) or higher
Windows Phone 8.1 development requires Windows 8.1 (x86) or higher
For the Windows Phone emulators, Windows 8.1 (x64) Professional edition or higher, and a processor that supports Client Hyper-V and Second Level Address Translation (SLAT)
If your computer meets the operating system requirements but does not meet the hardware requirements for the Windows Phone Emulators, the Windows Phone development tools will install and run. However, the Windows Phone 8.0 and 8.1 Emulators will not function
and you must use a device to deploy or test Windows Phone apps.
