State of external/internal BT wiring to phone sock...

Hi, I have been in my crrent house for nearly a year now, Broadband is slow (max 1.5Mg), I have been advised to examine the external wiring from the telephone pole to the house and thereafter to the socket. The wiring does not look in good condition, there are a number of kinks in the line, much the same once the wire comes inside the property. Additionally the wire comes into the house at a position that is not best suited for positioning the router.
Exam questions :
a. Does this old kinked wiring arrangement affect my broadband capabilities ?
b. How do I get someody to come and change it ?
many thanks

Thanks for getting back to us yungflip
Sorry to hear that your having problems with your BT Broadband.
You will either be on the ADSLMax (upto 8mbps) service or if your exchange has been BTw 21cn upgraded you maybe on the ADSL2/2+ (upto 12/20mbps) service depending on your line quality and length.
However these upto speeds may not be the speeds you will get as ADSL broadband connections are very dependent on the distance from your property to the exchange and the quality of your line. The further away you are from your local exchange the slower your broadband speed will be.
To enable the community to help you please see the advice below:
Please see Keith's help guide here: Helping forum members to help you, it will go through some checks that are needed for us to help you.
A summary of the checks are:
1a) Is your router/Homehub connected by a BT NTE5 master socket, Adsl Filtered Master Socket or Extension Socket?   Please bear in mind that extension cables and extension sockets can reduce the broadband's performance. If you have an Old LJU master socket then please say.
The Master Sockets (with test sockets ie BT NTE5 master socket, Adsl Filtered Master Socket) look like this:
1b) Have you tried the Test Socket?
2) Can you please run a BT speed test (including IP Profile) http://speedtester.bt.com (not beta version)[Best done with a wired, Ethernet, connection] If the other link doesn't work you can try http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/
3) is there any noise on your line. dial 17070 option2 ,called quite line test, from landline phone. should be silent but slight hum normal on cordless phone. If there is any noise please try the quite line test in the Test Socket and if still noisey, crackling then you will need to report it as a noisy line.
4) please post adsl line statistics
ADSL Line Statistic Help:
If you have a BT Home Hub like the one below...
Then:
1) Go to http://192.168.1.254 or http://bthomehub.home
2) click Settings
3) Click Advanced Settings
4) Click Broadband
5) Click Connection or sometimes called ADSL (see picture Below)
The direct Address is http://bthomehub.home/index.cgi?active_page=9116 (for bthomehub3)
You will need to copy and past all the adsl line statistics ( Including HEC, CRC and FEC errors). You may need to click " More Details"
There are more useful links on Keith's website here: If you have an ADSL connection, please select this link

  • Read statement into an internal table

    Hi Experts,
In my report i have several read statements, now my requirement is i want to put all the read statements into an internal table, how do i achieve it???
    Thank you!

    Hello Maya,
i want to know how many number of times the read statement is used .
    Two ways:
    1. use a counter after each read statement in your program and increase it by 1 everytime there is read statement and display the final value of the counter in the report that you want.
    2. If you just want to know press (CNTRL + F) enter "READ" , select the radio button "In Main program" and then you will get all the read statement and can count it manually.
Hope I have not answered your question wrong. But if I have, please be more specific about your requirement so that many an help you.
    Thanks,
    Jayant Sahu.

  • Read statement on dynamic internal tables

    Hello All,
    I have a dynamic internal table <G_T_ITAB> with fields F1, F2, F3 & F4 .
I want to read the internal table <G_T_ITAB>. So im using the below code.
    LOOP AT G_T_DATA.
      READ TABLE <G_T_ITAB> INTO <G_R_ITAB> WITH KEY F1 = G_T_DATA-F1.
      IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
      ELSE.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
But this is giving syntax error that F1 is not the field of <G_T_ITAB>. But the field is there in <G_T_ITAB>.
Can you suggest me to solve this issue. Or is there any other approach to use READ statement on dynamic internal tables.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Sasidhar Reddy Matli.

    Hi ,
    Read this way....
    FIELD-SYMBOLS:
    <fs_str> type any,
    <fs_lf_fval> type any,
    <fs_lt_result_rate> type any table,
    <fs_ls_result_rate> type any.
    DATA:
      lv_fname type string.
    lv_fname = 'MATNR'.
assign component 'matnr' of structure <fs_str> to <fs_lf_fval>.
    READ TABLE <fs_lt_result_rate> INTO <fs_ls_result_rate>
                WITH KEY (lv_fname) = <fs_lf_fval>.
    Thanks,

  • Incoming Sharepoint Mail: External/Internal Domain Environment

We have setup Incoming Sharepoint 2010 Mail both on Sharepoint side and on the Exchange 2007 side (Send Connector setup). And we have no problem delivering mail from Exchange to Sharepoint.
We have an External/Internal Domain setup.
Our Windows DNS does not own the “A” record for our External domain Name @external.Domain.com.
All mailboxes/mail-enabled contacts/UDG’s/USGS are stamped with our External domain Name: @external.Domain.com because within Exchange an accepted domain (Internal Relay Type) was created for @external.Domain.com.
Sharepoint is part of our Internal Windows domain. Sharepoint mail-enabled contacts are created as
    [email protected]
Per Incoming mail technote: we created Active Directory Org Unit for Share Point mail-enabled contacts. These contacts replicated to Exchange Recipient Management Console and then of course
to the Outlook Global Address List; however, the contacts are not a routable address because they are stamped @windows.Internal.Domain.com.  If we add @external.Domain.com which is a routable address, mail is delivered to the Sharepoint Site.
    Q. One thing we do not want is within our Outlook Global Address List, to show two SMTP domain names, i.e., @windows.Internal.Domain.com and @external.Domain.com this would be
too confusing for our users. Also changing each mail-enabled contact to the routable address (@external.Domain.com would be a nightmare. Any suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated?

It doesn't need to be a nightmare, you simply have to create a Recipient Update Policy and apply it to the OU containing your contacts/DLs. You also need to configure SharePoint to use external.domain.com instead of the internal domain.
    See http://thesharepointfarm.com/2013/02/a-practical-guide-to-implementing-incoming-email-using-the-sharepoint-directory-management-service/

  • How  do the dynamic state to record image in the cell-phone?

Excuse me.How do the dynamic state to record image in the cell-phone?Or whether it has the feasibility or not?..Somebody can give me some opinions and data, please.
    Thanks.

I don't understand very well what you want, but to record and image (get and snapshot) you have to create an Player, realize the player, start it and then get the snapshot. ex:
                player = Manager.createPlayer("capture://video");
                player.realize();
                VideoControl videoControl = (VideoControl) player.getControl("VideoControl");
                player.start();
                byte[] data = videoControl.getSnapshot(null);
Image image = Image.createImage(data, 0, data.length); To find out if a device can record images you can use this:
                boolean mmapiAvailable = System.getProperty("microedition.media.version") != null;
boolean canGetSnapshots = System.getProperty("supports.video.capture") != null;Hope that answer your question.

  • Conversion exit ALPHA, external- internal

What does the below Alpha Conversion do :
    <b>Conversion exit ALPHA, external->internal</b>
An example wud help me understand better!!

    Hi,
A conversion routine is identified by its five-place name and is stored as a group of two function modules. The function modules have a fixed naming convention. The following function modules are assigned to conversion routine xxxxx:
    CONVERSION_EXIT_xxxxx_INPUT
    CONVERSION_EXIT_xxxxx_OUTPUT
The INPUT module performs the conversion from display format to internal format. The OUTPUT module performs the conversion from internal format to display format.
E.g. If you specify ALPHA conversion for Material number then when user enters the value for MATNR as 123; internally it is converted to 0000123 and is stored in that format in the database. In this case, conversion is done from external format to internal format and the other way if you are reading value from database; it is converted from internal to external format and value is shown as 123, instead of 0000123.
    Hope this helps.

  • HT1688 Is there any App for blocking the International calls on my phone?

Is there any App for blocking the International calls on my phone?

    No.
For security reasons, 3rd party apps don't have access to private iPhone APIs which such an app would require.
You want to stop being able to place such calls or stop receiving such calls?
If the latter, try stopping it at the source by contacting your carrier.

  • Capturing cost of external & internal services

    Hello
Can I be guided regarding configuration for cost capturing for external & internal services. Is this same as we are doing for break down orders by maintaining cost variants and valuation variants. Please advise.
    Thanks

In case of External Service, PM03 control key will be used. In that configuration, service check box would have been selected. Further to that, service masters for the services will be created. Those services will be assigned in Maintenance order.
In turn, PR will be created for those services with reference to Maintenance order, further PO will be created.
While creating Service entry sheet for the above PO, cost will be posted to Maintenance Order as PO & Service entry sheet are linked to Maintenance order.
In case of internal services, Activity types will be created & will be assigned to labor work center. In KP26, activity pricing will be maintained. Based on planned hours in maintenance order & actual hours in confirmation, planned cost & actual cost will be calculated.
As you know, costing variant will be defined for Internal & external processing, cost will be calculated based on that.
Also these costing variants should be assigned to Plant & order type combination.

  • Advice Bank Statement and External Reconciliation Report

I am looking for suggestion on how to prepare a Bank Reconciliation Report for Checks in Crystal Report. I have short listed Tables ORCT and RCT1 for Incoming Payments and OVPM and VPM1 for Outgoing Payments.  My main concern is how to differentiate between Reconciled and Non Reconciled Checks. As Seen under Banking -> Bank Statement And External Reconciliation-> Manual Reconciliation Under cleared column.

You can go to Administration> System Initialisation>Company details> basic initialisation> (check) Bank Processing.
Also, you need to do a few set ups before you start using the bank statement facility. You can find this in SET Up> Banking> Bank Statement Processing.
When you check this, you would be able to see the Bank Statement Processing Form in the banking module.
all the information that you might need for the Bank Statement Processing for versions A and B can be found in the Portal under the following path:
SAP Portal -> Support -> Documentation Resource Center -> Modules and Features -> Bank Statement Processing (BSP)
    Hope the documentation helps you.

  • External & internal hierarchies

Need some clarity on external & Internal hierarchies , their architecture ,where & when used  .Can someone put ligth on this topic.

John has clearly stated what the main differences are.
In addition, if you are modeling a time dependent hierarchy there are some things to keep in mind. There are certain reporting scenarios that are not possible if modeled as a external hierarchy.
Read the following documentation for more info. The reporting scenario # 3(report the historical truth) on page 52 is not possible if the model is based on external hierarchy.

  • Both External & Internal Batch Numbers

We have turned on batch management @ material level. Is it possible to have both external and internal batches.
    Eg.
    M1 has external batch no.
    M2 has internal batch no.
    M1 is ROH
M2 is Fert, whose batch will be generated during autoGR
    Regards.

    Hi,
What Mr. Rajesha told is right It is not possible to have two different type of batch no assignmenmt External & Internal Batch Numbers.
You can use some of the standard User Exits or develop a custom user exit for this purpose.
You can use SAP enhancement SAPLV01Z for internal batch number assignment. This enhancement contains two function module exits that you can use to define number ranges or templates for batch numbers:
EXIT_SAPLV01Z_001. You use this exit to replace the number range object and/or interval proposed by the system with your own number range object and/or interval.
In addition, you can, for instance, stop the system from assigning an internal number depending on the material or plant. You can also use this exit to stop the dialog box from appearing.
EXIT_SAPLV01Z_002. Using this exit, you can either change the number assigned by the system, or assign your own number.
There are many such user exits, please check and use the appropriate user exit.

I am receiving calls from 911, 917, 918, 919, etc. I believe these are international calls from mobile phones in India. How can I block/stop them?

Unwanted calls are never pleasant! To confirm, are these calls only coming from 3 digits numbers? If coming from 10 digit number we offer 5 free blocks via https://wbillpay.verizonwireless.com/vzw/nos/safeguards/SafeguardProductDetails.action?productName=callMessageBlocking. While not the most convenient, we also offer the ability to change your phone number free via http://www.vzw.com/myverizon.

  • Static noises in external/internal speakers

Why does my external/internal speakers make a static noise when I plug my AC cord into the computer, but when i unplug the AC adaptor power source, the noise goes away but I am draining my battery?

took computer to apple store...i had a bad logic board

  • One person, one iPhone, one laptop. Two homes in two states, two external drives, two identical copies of my music library.  Many headaches.

I feel like this question is asked endlessly on these boards, but somehow I still can't find a relevant answer... So, apologies for rehashing a variant of the same question!
I have one (ancient) MacBook Pro, and one (ancient) iPhone.  I carry both back and forth between two states: the state where I work and the state where I live the rest of the time.  My ancient MBP and my ancient iPhone are too small to carry my whole music collection (which is quite large—larger than a new phone or laptop would reasonably support, anyway).   My mobile apps and my podcasts live on my laptop, but my music library lives on an external drive.  I have two external drives now, one in each state where I live/work.  I also have a copy of everything on my desktop machine at work, but I've given up long ago trying to sync to multiple computers.  I'll settle for now for syncing to one computer (my MBP), which sometimes is connected to one copy of my library, and sometimes is connected to another copy of my library.
I know that I can make multiple iTunes libraries, with duplicate copies of my podcast subscriptions, my apps, and my playlists and music, and keep switching which one my phone is set to sync to (wiping it each time, and possibly losing some settings in the process?)   But that's a pain in the neck.  Plus, it's hard to keep my podcasts active in both libraries, because iTunes podcast subscriptions are like frail little tamagotchi critters that need constant love, nurturing, and encouragement, or else they wither and die.
Is there any way to have a single library, with my apps and podcasts on the laptop, which just happens to make use of the "local" copies of my music on whichever external drive happens to be attached?
Or do I need the google cloud + android if I want to unify my listening and syncing life?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
There are several reasons which may cause the backup to be full instead of incremental, such as source volume snapshot is deleted, from which the last backup was taken.
