You can only add music to iTunes Match from your iTunes library on your computer, not from your iOS device. If you have music on your iPad that is not on your computer, you'll have to import it to your iTunes library on your computer to add it to iTunes Match.
Music purchased from the iTunes store can be imported directly to your iTunes library by authorizing your computer for the Apple ID(s) used to purchase the music (in Store>Authorize This Computer), then connecting the iPad to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. Music from other sources will require using 3rd party software to transfer to your computer, such as Touch Copy.

I found a video on downloading a video from Youtube without downloading additional software. It looks straightforward enough. Problem is, the top bar of my screen does not have the Firefox button that others refer to. Other than that, Firefox has made for a great browsing experience.

Depending on what version of iM you're using, you can directly upload from within iMovie, or you have to export first, then use YT's upload web interface ...
in case you own a licence of Quicktime Pro, open a jpg with it, open in a 2nd window your mp3, select all, copy, paste to picture - done .. no 'fullsize editor' needed.

Have you been able to successfully import these videos into iTunes? If so, use iTunes built in converter to convert it to a more iTunes friendly format. To do this, highligh the video and choose "Create iPhone or iPod version" from the Advanced drop down menu in iTunes.
When it has finished converting, try syncing the new version to your Nano.

Did you look in your downloads folder? If you are using Safari to download then look at Safari - Preferences - General and look in where it says Save downloaded files to. If you have left it to the defaults download folder you will find that under ~/downloads the ~ means your home folder. You can find that in Finder.

i want to download music from my friends icloud. she gave me the icloud account and everything. can i download the music safely without changing anything in the icloud? can i download music without it changing the music i have now? if i can download whatever i want from her icloud, how can i do it?
just in case heres some info: we both have different accounts. her entire family uses the icloud and they all have a joint account so if 1 person downloads a song, the song becomes available to all of them.

What you are attempting to do is not legal. While it is permitted for family members to share purchased media, it is not permitted to share it with friends.
Also, if you attempt to download music from iCloud using someone elses's ID, your device will become associated with that ID and you will not be able to download purchased media using your own ID for a minimum of 90 days.
