  • FM RADIO STOPPED WORKING ZEN 8GB

    Hello All,
    This is my first post.
    I own a Creative Zen 8GB player and suddenly the FM Radio is no longer working.
    All firmware is up to date. All other apps in working order.
    Radio bars are not lit up.
    The same headphones do work on my Creative Zen Sleek Photo 20GB however so I have ruled out that the headphones are the culprit.
    Please advise as to a fix.
    Many thanks in advance

  • FM Radio problem in ZEN 20GB

    Hi,
    i've got a problem. FM Radio doesn't work at 96.00MHz, It works on all other frequences including 96.0 and 95.90 MHz... How repair that? My favourite radio station is on 96Mhz(Polish Tr?jka )

    Try reloading the firmware for your Nano Plus - that sorts out most problems with these players. Go to Support, Downloads and choose MP3 Players, Zen, Nano Plus. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully.

  • Radio Lost From Zen M Vision 3

    Byran,
    I really appreciate your help - but here's the thing :
    I followed your tips as follows:
    . Main Menu.
    2. System.
    3. Player Settings.
    4. Configure Menu
    At point 4 I didn't have an option for Configure Meu.
    I had - Owner: My Zen - Idle Shut Down: - Sleeper Timer: - Touch Pad - My Short Cut Button - Protected Content (Hide) - Protected Content password.. ?That's it...
    I think I've got a sick Zen......

  • Pre-setting radio stations to Zen Touch rem

    I've been trying to work this out for a while, but I can't seem to pre-set numerous stations onto the remote. I can only seem to pre-set one station. Anybody know how to do this?

    Find an empty preset by pressing the 'Preset +' button (i.e. Play). Scan into the radio station you want to preset, then hit save on the top of the remote. then press the 'Preset +' button again until you find another empty preset and do the same.
    Hope that helps!

  • Steps to Installing Zen Touch w/ Play For Sure Firmware on Windows

    I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm personally very frustrated with my Zen Touch at the moment. I've updated to the Play For Sure firmware successfully, and when I plug it into my Desktop it's registered as a portable media player, and it shows the name of my Zen Touch. However, what's next? I've downloaded 3 apps from Creative - Media Source 5, Software Suit for PFS-enabled device, and PFS plugin for Media Source 5 - which one do I install first?
    I assumed it to be Creative Media Source Organizer 5 and went ahead to install that one first, but the installation hangs at the part where it says: detecting installed products.
    Anyway, I just hope someone can post a detailed step-by-step guide to fully enabling my Zen Touch on Windows XP. Thanks!

  • Zen Micro: Selecting Japanese Radio B

    Hello,
    how do I select the Japanese frequency band for the FM radio on a Zen Micro? I cannot find any setting to do it.
    Regards,
    Dirk

    If I recall correctly, this was removed from the later firmware. I'm not sure if you have to use an Asian firmware now to access the correct FM band...

  • Zen Micro - Listen to radio whilst charging through USB cab

    'Lo all, as title, I'm at work just now, my battery is flat and I'd like to listen to the radio while my Zen charges, can I do this somehow?
    TIA

    Internet Explorer (this includes going through files), Windows Media Player and Zen Media Explorer will cause the player to be in docked mode. Make sure you're not in any of these and you should be able listen to music while charging.

  • FM radio just died on m

    HEY!!!
    the FM radio on my Zen Micro just suddenly died on me. was working fine the last time i used it, but when i turn to a station, all i get is a split-second of static then it just cuts off. none of the presets play, but everything else works just right. (Even the microphone .) i always take great care of my player, did i do something to make the radio not play? i'm confused. please help?

    At first i could change the region but only from international to Japan, but i did upload the newest firmware on my player, now the region option is not available anymore. is there a local region or antenna?
    'nother qeustion:
    is there any FM radio software available to download that could remedy or replace this?

  • FM tuner on Zen Mi

    I was wondering if there is anyway in decreasing the amount of static i hear whenever i try listening to the radio on my Zen Micro, because sometimes it sounds crystal clear, and then other times it sounds like crap, there's gotta be away where it could always be crystal clear.

    i think the ZM headphones have an antena embedded in them, so if youre using different headphones that might explain things a bit.

  • How to getvalue from selected radio button

       <table width="39%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
          <tr>
            <td height="40">
              <input type="radio" name="radiobutton" value="proID" >
              <strong>Product ID:
              <input type="text" name="remProID" size="5" maxlength="5">
              </strong></td>
          </tr>
          <tr>
            <td>
                <p> </p>
              <p><strong>
                <input type="radio" name="radiobutton" value="proDesc" >
                Product Name:
                <select name="remProName">
                </select>
                </strong></p>
              <p>     <strong> Product Description:</strong>
                <select name="remProDesc">
                </select>
              </p>
              </td>
          </tr>
        </table>Question: How to get the value from the textbox when the respective radio button is checked?
    Thanksfor helping.

    If the radiobuttons are within a form, then I am certain you can replace the lines marked
    <input type="radio" name="radiobutton" value="proID" > and
    <input type="radio" name="radiobutton" value="proDesc" >
    with
    <input type="radio" name="radiobutton" value="proID" onClick="return onClickRadioBtn(this)">
    and
    <input type="radio" name="radiobutton" value="proDesc" onClick="return onClickRadioBtn(this)">
    respectively.
    You will then need to create the following JavaScript functions:
    <script language="JavaScript">
    function onClickRadioBtn(oRadioBtn)
    if(oRadioBtn.value == "proID")
    //Perform desired steps for ProID radio button
    else if (oRadioBtn.value == "proDesc")
    //Perform desired steps for ProDesc radio button
    else
    //Perform desired steps for a function call having
    // neither values of the proID nor proDesc
    return true;
    </script>
    Again, I am sure this solution works for objects within a <form name="xyz"...> html form. There is a possibility that this function call will work outside of a html form environment, but I simply can't recall implementing it in that fashion.
    Hope this helps.

  • Help!! Zen Micro FM Tuner not workin

    Hi all, Just recently I tried to listen to the radio on my Zen and it won't recieve any stations. It doesn't pickup any signals at all. It scans but comes up with nothing. It used to work fine but hadn't used it in a while and now this!
    Has anyone had a similar problem and if so was it fixable?
    I reinstalled the latest firmware and that didn't help.
    Cheers?

    Perform the recovery mode first in your unit.Afterwhich, scan the radio frequency again but try to do it on an open area to get a good signal.
    If this doesn't rectify the issue,contact our Customer Support in your region.
    Hope it helps.

  • ZEN MICRO PHOTO USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNI

    help !! i am also having a problem similar to your and just about everyone elses on here. I just purchased a zen microphoto for xmas a month ago and it has been a nightmare . it has worked for about a month perfectly then it ceased to be recognized by? my Alienware area 5 desktop system which previously recognized it fine. I took all of the steps and scanned all of the forums then realized that after uninstalling my windows media player and rolling back to 0 it began to be recognized again. well then surprisingly and maybe not so much so after looking at so many of the post of these forums. Well I have taken so many steps to try to get my ZEN MICRO PHOTO to once again become recognized by my computer? and yet again all efforts have been fruitless. I reformated my ZEN MICROPHOTO?and now when i plug it in a small window pops up at the bottom stating that the USB DEVICE IS NOT RECOGNIZED . I then cannot upload new firmware and can in fact do absolutely nothing but gaze at the player which boots up then fades to black while my pc sees my player as an unknown usb device. I even reformated the pc for the sake of the player , cutting off the nose despite the face in other words and still no dice. I have windows xp service pack 2 , all updates and bios up to date. My pc is only 2 years old and have a lexmark printer? a mouse and a keyboard attched to it , none of which create conflict. Even after reformatting my pc i made sure my player was one of the first peripherial devices connected and all to no avail. I think this is a disgrace that such a compnay as CREATIVE cannot put foward a quality product. Does anyone out there have any solid suggestions on how to fix this proiblem if so they would be gretaly apprecaited. ThanksEdward

    vacantmind: You might also want to make sure that you get the latest drivers and software as follows:
    . Creative Zen and Jukebox Driver Upgrade version .30.03
    2. Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 3.30.2
    3. Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox plugin 2.00.9 for Creative MediaSource
    Install . then connect the player to the PC. Then install 2. and 3. (the player must be connected for 2. to verify you have a Creative product).
    Also an important test is to install the drivers and software on another PC, say a friend's, and see whether you have the problem. If you don't, then the issue is with your PC, or a compatibility issue with the player. If you do, then there's something wrong with the cable or player.

    Guess Creative finally ditched the touchpad! Oh well- joysticks are much simpler but I think the touchpad was one of Creative's well-known trademarks. Some people loved it, others hated it. There you go. I guess having given the Vision M ff/rw buttons so close to the touchpad made them think that having just one button to do it all might not be such a bad idea after all. Also PLEASE Creative, have you not learned? People don't want the Zen V, which is just a Zen V Plus with no radio. Yes it will be slightly cheaper but it screams less features and therefore inferiority. Again: too many products where one will do. Beat apple by including the radio, call the Zen V Plus the Zen V, and sell it at the same price as the ipod nano. This is just going to confuse people- again.
    Mind you, musn't grumble. Like the line-in feature (oops- why wasn't that on the ZVM?) and Audible support from the off. Hope the new Zens do well, but I bet they would do better if they were ONE fully-featured product!
