Steps to take is Sol Man when changing physical servers in the landscape.

We will be spliting out central instances and running the DB on AIX oracle and the application will change to LINUX. What steps do I need to take in Solution Manager? The server information is forwarded from the new instance and then read form the SLD so it appears in smsy. Since the SID names remain the same it looks like SMSY is matching up the new information with the old.
Do I need to delete the current solutions?
Then delete the servers and systems is SMSY
Do I need to run Basic Configuration again
Do I need to run The Managed system configuration again?
Has any one gone through this process.?

For now the database will remain on the current server the application half of the CI will be moved to a new server with a different operating system. We will no longer have a CI. Unfortunately we didn't start with an HA name for this server so the physical server name was used and that name and IP address will be different.
Yes, I agree the RFCs could be a problem (I plan on running the Magaged system confifguration to fix those issues)
I was planning on reinstalling the SMD since the additional server will be LINUX and there settings that will not transfer in a copy. Also I hadn't thought of the before but, I will need an SMD on both the database and the application server.

Synonym will be validated when it is accessed, no need to take an action.

pl let us know whether u want the change before creation of subseq doc (delivery etc) or after creation of it ?
suggestion: always write the problem in detail with all the info u can give as possible, since that helps others to understand ur problem and give good soln.

Refresh mapping when changes were done to the database

I created a mapping with three tables to java objects. I added one extra column to the table. How do I refresh/synchronize/map my objects again? I'm using JDeveloper 10.1.3

In the offline database schema you can either re-import or refresh the table definitions. This will make the new column available for mapping purposes.

Visual studio lightswitch takes very long time (hangs for 20 sec) when changing entities properties in screen design

hi, I have lightswitch project that is growing up every day. Now it has 200 database table and about 450 default screens. When I first started the lightswitch project with few tables
(about 50 tables), it responses very fast. Gradually when I created the screens, the response takes 10 seconds for any changes I made in the screens or on the tables (*.lsml). Now, it takes 20 seconds (-+2 sec) to be able to do the next change!. For example,
changing the group name, entity input type, width, table summary property ,arrange fields in the groups, change display name (which I change the most),,etc. Just imaging that I can change 3 things on a minute! I am using lightswitch with VB coding , but no
programing codes (yet), I uses only HTML screens, no extensions, connected with SQL express 2012 (but I think that has nothing to do with the slowness since the problem is on the screens design time), I have created the project from scratch three times, with
visual studio 2013 ultimate update 3, update 4, and now with Update 5 CTP 1 !! Yet, the same result. Strange that the freezing time is always about 20 seconds!! Any idea why this is happening? Any resolution?! Regards, Hasan

i was trying to implement your suggested workaround of my problem, unfortunately, it won't work with me ! i cannot split the

I have used the SQL4SAP.VBS to install SQL 2005 Entp Ed for Sol Man 4.0.
I do not know what authentication mode has been setup by this script
How do I know this ?
How can i change the mode to mixed mode as reuqired by Sol Man 4.0

Hi,
This is how you need to check.
1. In the Enterprise Manager, select the server and then choose Action ® Properties.
The SQL Server Properties dialog box opens.
2. Select the Security tab.
Here you can see. Hope this solves your problem. Feel free to revert back.

When I'm changing headphones to 5. in volume panel my rear speakers and middle one won't work...
I need to run diagnostic tool where I need to chose the default option in order to get my rear and middle
speakers to work.. I need to do this every time...
It get's annoying as I play BF242 and then try to listen to some music ot watch an movie in 5. ...
it takes an minute or so to do this but I would preffer not to have to....
I'm an xfi noob so there may be an setting that is causing this... does anyone knows how to change this?
edit: btw. the headphones(headset actually) are connected to the panel...

We are trying to access our sizing for a Sol man implementation. We
have read the sizing document and it proposes not to have more then 40
alterts per server. Is this 40 limitation at the alert group level or

Yes, this is correct for your current release and SP. There is no standard way to generate alerts for Communication Channels which are in error status. The alerting mechanism is based on messages. The message must throw an error for an alert to be generated.
However, some new functionality will be available with SP13. It does not cover exactly your requirement i.e. when a channel is in error. But it does cover channels that stop polling. See note 1808222 Trigger alerts if channel stops polling, for more details.

Update info record when changing units of measure in material master

is there any possibility for an automatic change of info record when changing conversion factors in the material master ?
We have 3 units of measure in our material master: the base unit and 2 alternative units. The first alternative unit is the order unit and the second alternative unit is the order price unit. So in our purchase info records we maintain an order unit, which differs from the base unit and we also maintain an order price unit, which differs from the base unit and the order unit.
If we now change the conversion factors between the units in the material master, we would like to get an automatic change of the converions in the info record (to order unit and order price unit), which have the same previous conversions.
For IS R it seems to be implemented (see OSS-Note 975954).
Is there any solution for a "normal" industry system ?

I don't think such an auto update is available. Infact I came to know that such an update is available in IS-R after reading your query.
Obviously you an always create a workflow based enhancement that can synchronize the Info-records and material master changes or sort of enhancement which regularly reads the material master change history for such changes and trigger a synchronization by executing change Info-record automatically.

I purchased a Maxx at FULL retail price (out of contract) to keep my unlimited data. An unauthorized/illegal change was made to the plan and all VZW could do was offer me $20 in credit.

As the title says:
I purchased a Droid Maxx at full retail price (approximately $540) to keep my grandfathered unlimited data. An unauthorized/illegal change was made by my younger sister (who is not an account manager and stole the information from my mom) to the plan and I was not notified within the 14-day closing period to revert the changes. For the record, both my mom and I are account managers, my younger sister is not.
I went in to my account (and changed all the information) and found out that when changes are made to the account online, you have to send an authorization text to one of the phones--however, you can send this authorization to ANY of the phones on the plan, so my sister sent it to hers (instead of an account managers).
So, the only reason I found out about this change to my plan was via a text message telling me I was "approaching max data," which of course should not happen with unlimited data. My younger sister did not tell anyone she made the changes.
When I found out about two (nearly three) weeks ago, I called Verizon to open a ticket about it. They did, said they would call/text me back a few days later--they didn't. One week later I made another phone call to see what the status on that ticket was--the rep said that the other rep was supposed to call me, but didn't, and so he pushed the ticket again. Lo and behold, another week later, still no response from VZW about the ticket. So I called again only to find out that the request to revert the data plan back to unlimited had been denied.
I spoke with that representative for nearly 40 minutes and all she could offer was some unwanted advice about what to do about my sister's behavior or that "I'm so sorry that someone would do that." I told her I wasn't looking for consolation, but for a compromise on either getting my unlimited data back, or refunding the difference between contract and full-retail price of the phone. I threatened to leave VZW because of this and all she could offer was a measly $20 credit.
I have filed a BBB complaint against Verizon Wireless for this issue as an illegal change that goes unnoticed past the 14-day closing period should be addressed in a more urgent manner.
I have also reached out on Reddit and Twitter, because obviously calling the VZW support does nothing to alleviate my situation. I am very dissatisfied with how VZW is handling an illegal and fraudulent change on my account that has shafted me out of 500 dollars.

You seam to be focusing your anger at Verizon and not your sister. Verizon followed the rules and required IDs and passwords to access the wireless account. You and/or your mother are supposed to safeguard that information. Your sister has committed the felony by stealing your mothers identity for personal gain.

I'm sure if you went to Verizon and wanted to make some changes to your account, and you had the correct IDs and passwords, you would be upset and angry if they put you through the 3rd degree because they thought you were committing fraud.
