Stoc under Storage Loc./Batch Stock, needs to bring under Valuated Stock

Dear All,
I have one question:
We have done Sales Return for Qty: 200 for Material: XYZ.
Now, in MB5B, under Valuated Stock, for the Material: XYZ, Qty is 346; whereas
under Storage Loc./Batch Stock, Qty is 556.
When, I refeered to MB52, its showing Qty as:
unrestricted: 346
Return: 200
How come, i bring this Qty: 200 under unrestricted/ Valuated Stock?
Please breif me the procedure.
Best Regards,
Amit

Dear KI,
As Suggested by You,
I went to Transaction: MB5B and choosen Movement type: 459 - TP Ret. to own blckd
Also, ticked Box: Storage Loc./ Batch Stock, and Executed (F8).
I got following error:
If there are restrictions acc. to movement type, results may be incorrect
Message no. M7391
What do i do next?
Best Regards,
Amit
Note: I am SD-Consultant and my MM-Counterpart is un-available. So, user asked the same to me. It would be great help, if you tell me the steps (with Details like T. Codes and Movement Types etc..)

  • Valuated Stock to move to Non Valuated Stock

    Dear Gurus
I am looking into an issue from FI perspective and need your valuable inputs.
    Business Case:
We have two plants (Plant A & Plant B). Customer would return expired stock to Plant A and these would be kept in Blocked Status as per QM guidelines. These stock are to be destroyed and transferred to Destruction Plant (Plant B) for doing the needful. However since we cannot use plant to plant transfer for block stock, we are left with using 506 & 505 movement type as the only solution for it. However finance would like to have no accounting impact for goods in transit since it has no real value. Hence it wants to writeoff the value (keeping quantitative details for MM intact) at Plant A itself and then trigger the stock movement. Since now the value is zero, it would not trigger accounting document.
We are working in following restrictions:
QA Guidelines suggests that we cannot move stock from Blocked to unrestricted just for this purpose
FI suggests that there shouldn't be by pass from norma standard sap transaction as 505 & 506 is not meant for this purpose
We need to find a way where we can convert selected stocks of a material code from valuated to non-valuated for this purpose.
Would be glad to provide any further clarification, should you so desire.
    Appreciate your early response.

    1) You can move blocked stock from one plant to the other if you don't use delivery for the STO
Stock tranfer order with block stock
    2) If you want to move the goods via delivery from one plant to the other you first have to post the stock from blocked to unrestricted stock type. This is a must, technically.
I don't think the "QA guidline" should not allow this if you manage the process carefully - "QA guidline" should consider the real world and not prescribe something which is not possible or possible via development if you spend money on it.
    3) Finance should also consider the reality. If the stock is valuated and you transfer it, it may have financial impact.
Would it be ok for finance to move valuated stock w/o financial impact?
If you want to have the expired goods in your supplying plant as non valuated, first you should set proper valuation type for them (if you use split valuation, you may have a valuation type like "EXPIRED" with 0 price) or you can do a material to material transfer (from the valuated material to a non valuated material). In my opinion split valuation is better since you won't loose the material number.
Of course, this will have FI impact in the supplying plant because you are making something of "no real value" from something of "real value".
If your stock is managed under the "EXPIRED" valuation type, I think you can move it to unrestricted because the valuation type itself clearly shows that the goods are of wrong quality.
The stock transfer should have no FI impact if the stock will be received as non valuated in receiving plant.
    Just one idea.

  • How to update batch number, Storage loc, qty in VL02N on delivery items?

    Hi all,
Any idea how to perform the following using a BAPI or function call with regards to updating a Delivery (<b>VL02N</b>)?
    1) Enter or update a storage location on a delivery item?
    2) Batch split a delivery item to give multiple batch numbers. For example if delivery item is '000001' then after batch split additional delivery items with batch number assigned will appear as:
       item,    storage loc, batch,    qty
    '900001',  '0001', 2070062806,  1000
    '900002',  '0001', 2070052606,  3000
    '900003',  '0001', 2070025366,  3000
can this be done using WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE/_2 or someother fn mod.
Do not wish to use BDC or call transaction. Any help appreciated.

  • Report by month with Valuated stock and special stock by storage location

    Dear All,
I need a report similar to MCBE with stock level (including "storage loc/batch Stock" plus "special stock(Q)") by plant and storage location.
I try it with MCBE tcode, but i only get  "storage loc/batch Stock" in column named valuated stock. Also I can obtain that information in MB5B tcode, but I cannot get data by storage location, only plant.
Does anyone know how can solve it?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sebastiá

    Hi,
    Use MC.9 T.code.
click on "switch drilldown" and select storage location.

  • Inventory Management: Valuated Stock Value

    Hello Experts -
We're using inventory management. We're just bringing in 2lis_03_bf which is the material movements and the standard price datasource.
The plant valuated stock quantity and the valuated stock value are fine. The SLOC valuated stock quantity is fine. We're using the non-cumulative key figures for the valuated stock quantity and the valuated stock value. The SLOC valuated stock value isn't correct. So I just created a calculated key figure where I'm multiplying the quantity with the standard price.
This works fine but when I look at the plant level and use this CKF, the aggregation threw me off. So I changed the aggregation on CKF at the Bex level.
This works fine in dev and qa where I don't have too much of data. But as soon as I'm in in production, the query times out and gives me an error saying I reached the buffer limit.
I was thinking of calculating the valuated stock value at the ETL layer but now I'm thinking that if I do that and the price of a material changes, I'll again have the same problem. I can't re-load every time a material price changes.
Can someone please help me with this scenario?
    Thanks!

do not offer points, it is against the rules

    Hi Syed,
Deriving values by multipling with price also not correct. results will not match with R/3.
    Value Calculation
In principle, values are updated with Plant, Material, and Stock Category only. Quantities are updated with these characteristics, as well as with Storage Location, Batch Number, and Stock Characteristic
Check SAP Note 589024: Evaluations in BW with the Characteristics Storage Location and Stck Char.).
    Hope it Helps

  • Unrestricted and valuated stock are different

we have un-restricted stock of 95140 kg and valuated stock of 5259 kg with value of 1,12,100.
Now how i can make both stocks equal?
suppose my physical stock is 5259 kg which is equal to valuated stock of 5259 kg then how i can reduce un-restricted stock only?

Even having value set to 0, the valuated stock quantity will be affected by every movement. This problem could happened if you set the material type as relevant for valuation after the material was already active (1st you set to manage only quantities, and you had negative stock, then you activate the value updating and just then the valuated stock began taking quantities into consideration).
To solve this problem you should set your valuated stock to 0 (562) posting to an accrual account. Stop all activities in your valuation area, and un-mark the value updating in the material type definition. Post a movement to set your unrestricted stock to 0, change back to value updating and post the correct inventory quantity (561).
Take into consideration that now, you will have in your Inventory GL account only the value corresponding to the valuated stock quantity. The accrual account should be cleared with both movements, but if the correct quantity is the one u have as unrestricted stock, I will suggest to post the 561 for the valuated stock (clearing the accrual account) and then post another movement for Inventory difference to a revenue account.
    Hope this helps,

  • Diff between valuated stock and storage loc stock

    Dear guys,
What is difference between valuated stock and starage loc/ batch stock?
    Regards
    Jay

    Hi,
the stock which shown at MMBE at storage location level /batch is valuated stock. In order to identify the differrance , the stock which is taken in will be with stock types likes unrestricted, quality etc.If batch management is active for the material , material willbe procured in batches and will be kept in storage location, with differrant stock types.Stock types may also be like sale order stock etc.If the material is procured against a account assignment , the value of the stock will be costed against theaccount assignment.
The qty multiplied with the price is the value of the material and this valuated stock will be stored in the storage location under a batch if batch management is active.
Again valuation can be at company code level or plant level.
Also non valuated and non stock materials also in existsance which will be depend upon the material type and will be procured against a account assignment.

  • Inventory Count (1 material under 1 loc have multiple tags)

    Hi,
SAP standard inventory count is 1 material 1 location can only have 1 physical document. But our scenario is based on the tag number (which means there will be different tag number for the same code), and our tag number does not have any linkage to the SAP standard inventory count program. This is because even in the same location, our material will be at different places, and we might use more than 1 tag for the same material.
For example our scenario (1 loc 1 material multiple tags):
    Tag No      Material Code
    CA00001     CPS756
    CA00002     CPS756
    CA00003     CPS518
    CA00004     CPS518
    CA00005   CPS518
    CA00006   CPS632
Whereas the SAP standrd program is (1 loc 1 material 1 line item):
    100000182     1     CPS756
    100000182     2     CPS518
    100000182     3     CPR632
This will help a lot to ease the entering as the user just need to enter the count according to the tag number, and also reduce any typo error. And if we enter according to SAP method, we will have to sum up the total of all the same code, then only enter the count qty.
    Kindly please advise.

    Hello Sim,
There are several possibilities you can think about,
    1. If you are considering your tags as a batch number then you can put the material number and batch number while creating Physical Inventory.
    2. If materials are in different places then you can consider these different places as a different storage location.
    3. You can manage your stock with Warehouse mangement functionality (This will be the best option, but will be required to activate warehouse management and lots of data conversion activities).
    Hope this helps.

  • Automatic Inspection Lot Creation for HUs (storage Loc.) in WHS

    Hi All,
can someone guide me through customizing/with end result expected from client. How can I setup this configuration.
The requirement is all Chem.Raw Materilas are subject to Quality inspection with HU managed storage Loc. with WMS.
Good Receipt is posted Via Vl31n into Quality Stock. Subsequently a Transfer Order will be created & confirmed to transfer of materials from 902 interim storage type to destination storage type and bin. (due to lack of space in the Whse).
Now expected is that when Usage decision made (Quality Managment) the stock type should change from Q to Unresticted within the same bin and same storage type and material should be made available to issue for orders.
Also when GR is done 101 mvt. an inspection lot should generate automatically in Whse under the quant.
    Most appreciate your help.
    Regards
    Chandra

    Hi Chandra,
Generally WM movement type '309' is assigned for posting change (Sap standard setting). This movement type is generally assigned against 321 IM movement type.
Modify the settings for WM movement type '309' as below:
Path: LE -> WM -> Activities -> Transfers -> Define Movement types
    - Automatic TO X (activate)
    - Activate 'To item can be confirmed immediately'
    - Activate 'propose confirmation'
    - Activate 'post to same bin'
    This should solve your problem.
    On your other question
Generally the inspection lot is assosiated with the WM
stock and Quant if the stock Quality stock is posted to bins directly.
Please display the Quant using LS23 and let me know your findings.

  • During GR against Process Order Storage loc. not appearing

    He Experts,
I am trying to do goods receipt against process order for bulk material using MIGO.
But under where tab in MIGO storage loc field is not appearing. For this material production storage location is maintained in MRP2 view & in material type customizing both quantity & value field is selected for a given plant.
Can you please explain why this field is not appearing? Is there any other customizing behind this? During migo 101 movement type (GR for acct. assgt.) is appearing in moveent type field.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vijay.

    Hi,
OK,You are trying to do GR for a materisl which is defined as Bulk Material (Can be done in BOM or Material master).
You said , there is no stock appearing for this material in this Storage location.
    Check one thing,
go to MMSC and find out whether the storage location is maintained for the material or not?
if your Storage location is not appearing in the list, maintain it there.
Create a new Process order/productrion order  and check

  • Storage Location is not popullating in the PO(for stock materials)

    Hi All,
we are facing a issue regarding the Storage location in SRM 5.0.(patching SAPKIBKT14) when we try to create a PO with Stock material then the PO will be created but without Storage location. But during the confirmation it will give error saying "Enter Stor. Location ".
if we enter the storage location manually it will work fine , but we need it should take automatically like other materials.Note:There is not problem if we do SC .. it will populate automatically.
    Please help us.
    Regards
    Channappa Sajjanar

    Hello Channappa,
Please maintain storage location in field "Storage loc. for EP" in MRP2 view via transaction code MM02.  Once this is maintained the storage location here, it will automatically populate in the purchase order.
    Hope this helps.

  • Material Transfer from Storage Location 2 Storage loc

    Hi Gurus,
Here Client want to transfer Material from 1 loc to another. Std T Code is MB1B with Mov Type 309. But here we have to enter material, qty,& batch no.But client's requirement is that he dont want  to enter all these things. He want to select the material, batches collectively sothat seperate entry should be minimised. Is there any functionality through which we can transfer the selected materials?
    Please reply soon its urgent.
    Regards,
    Mayur

    Hi mayur
First of all 309 movement is ussed for Material to material transfer
like our friend said for storage loc to storage loc. you need to use 311
Now when you go to MB1B then goto Edit in that you can see default value
enter your default value , so after that you need to choose only material and batch
    collectively
    Thanks

  • Prod storage loc field in mrp2 view

Hi, as i understand materials are stored in mm storage locations. from mm storage locations, materials will be issued to production orders. in this case why we need prod storage loc filed in mrp2 view of the material master? please advise in which scenario we need to use this field? is it necessary to define prod storage loc in discreate manufacturing? thank you all for your support.

    Dear ,
Find the answer of your questions:
    1. why we need prod storage loc filed in mrp2 view of the material master?    It is nothing but a intrim stroge location between Store and Shop Floor specially nearby the Production Line from where componenet  are issued or back flashed  based on the SAP set up of Issu Storage Loaction Priority .
Basically , if you want a SFG material to be issues to FG after in-house production of the SFG  and also want to keep some of the Bulk Item or common item which can be  issued immediatly upon reservation rather going to MMD store , then one way it will save your time .
2.please advise in which scenario we need to use this field?   In case you have SFG/Bulk Item /Low value stock item which are utilised now and then in productiion line or in a group of work centre  and you want to material  can be picked up immediately as it near the operation line , then you have a facility to stock material called Issue or Production Storage Loaction .
3.is it necessary to define prod storage loc in discreate manufacturing  It is not necessary .But REM  is is useful for Back Flashing iteem. For FG in house producted item , you can receive the material specifically as SFG/FG store to diffierentiate from others  .Some time , you can use the same to store the Sales Order stock based on MTO-Discrete Manufactruing for an cutomer order .
Check my posting in this thread : Production Storage Location
    Hope this is helpful

  • Picking storage loc

    Hi Gurus,
I have defined one picking storage location for one shipping point but it does not check stock from other storage location.
Is there a way to pick stock from two storage locations in delivery ?
I understand to transfer stock to first st. loc. and from there it will picked for delivery but wondering if there is way to pick stock from both st. locs in delivery without tranfering to first stock.
    Appreciate your help on it.
    Thanks,
    Manoj

    Hi,
Picking storage location defined in V_TVKOL (SPRO > LE > Shipping > Picking > Determine Picking Location > Assign Picking Location) is only one thing. You can change the automatically proposed SLoc in the delivery document (VL01N / VL02N) manually (in standard system) - this is because if a plant is assgned to a shipping point (SPRO > Enterprice structure > Assignment > LE > Assign shipping point to plant), this is valid for all SLoc that are under your plant.
(Isn't it possible that your SLoc is excluded from MRP (MRP4 view of material master) and that's why the stock is not considered during availability check? If it is so, I think you should be able to deliver from that SLoc eliminating the availability check.)
    Please clarify your problem.
    Regards,
    Csaba
