Stock report based on stock type with a storage location
Is there a standard SAP report that will give me the stock information based on the storage location and stock type (unrestricted, QI, blocked, etc?)...for instance if I want to find all QI stock in a certain plant/storage location? I want it to show a list of materials and their quantities, not on an individual basis as in MMBE.

Thanks again for your response. I've used your last mentioned method before but with MMBE you have to enter a material number. We want a report of all materials in a particular stock type.
I was able to achieve this by goign to MB52 and setting up a filter on a layout. My users can now select that filter on the selection screen to get the desired result.

With out storage location in PO and VL31N is it possible to post GR wit 103

My scenario is once PO is created then create the inbound delivery in VL31N against PO,after that post the GR with movement type 103 once inspection is complete then reverse with m.type 105.
Here my question is in PO storage location is optional where as in VL31N with out storage location when post the GR system is giving error message that "document incomplete. You cannot post goods movement"
So I need solution without entering storage location in PO and VL31N system shouls allow to posr GR with m.type 103 and 105.
Appreciate you help.You can post GR agains inbound delivery (IBD) in MIGO (A01-R04) - specify the inbound delivery number, enter movement type 103 then push enter.
In this case system does not ask for storage location, so w/o entering SLoc in the IBD you can post the GR.
Please also read OSS note 1225077 how to manage this scenario.

Stock report based on the batch
Hi Experts,
I am designing stock ageing report based on last goods reciept date which is the attribute of the batch.
the stock value in the buckets need to be calculated based on the stock quantity with moving average price.
the report is o/p is based on material group, material, batch.
when i drill dow based on the material it is coming fine when i drill down based on the batch it is not showing any values in the buckets.
considering the moving average price from masterdata enhancement of 0MAT_PLANT datasource.(but this datasource doen't have batch).
Please suggest your ideas.

Hi All,
I am using Oracle 9i & Developer 6i on Windows platform in client/server environment. I created a report based on an Object Type defined in the Database. I am facing two problems in that:
1. Its not picking up Date columns properly. When I run the report, I receive error: "REP-0612: Invalid Date Mask.
ORA-01801: date format is too long for internal buffer.".
When I checked, I noticed that all the date columns in my Data Model, which are coming from Object Type are of Width 9 only. I want to ask how is it so, & how can I sort it out. I have not specified any format model for dates neither in Object Type nor in Report anywhere.
2. Another thing is, after reopening the report, in the report builder, i mean closing & then opening the .rdf file, when I try to run the report, I receive following error: "REP-0499: Column 'Column_Name' selected by the query is incompatible with report defination". This column is one of the columns/attributes of the object type on which my report is based. Though, nothing has been changed in the object type or any other database object, it gives this error, everytime, I try to run the report, after closing it(after proper saving) & opening it again. Can anyone help me by telling, why is it happening like this.

I'm not familiar with breakOrder, however when I review the code behind the report, I see nothing but:
breakOrder="none" in several lines. There is no other value other than "none" for this setting. Here's an excerpt:
"Group Name" breakOrder="none".
What exactly does breakOrder control and what other values are possible?
As far as pageProtect goes, there are two entries that show:
<generalLayout pageProtect="yes" verticalElasticity="variable"/>
Is it worth a shot to change both to "no" to see what happens?

Issue filtering a report (based on narrative view) with a dashboard prompt.
I used HTML and java-script codes in narrative view to solve the issue of "linking different reports on selecting values from a drop-down". A new issue has cropped up due to that implementation. The issue is that i can't attach a dashboard prompt to such a report. This means, when i put this report on a dashboard page with a dashboard prompt to help filter the report, the report does not gets filtered (it does not seems to be connected to the dashboard prompt).
Has anyone faced this issue before? If yes, please let me know how to tackle it at the earliest.

sorry , i could not solve the problem. the below case statement i put in the formula of a date column but i got some syntax error.One more thing is case statement is appearing in the select query not in where condition. Do u mean to say if i will put the same column as is prompted then it will come in where condition.

Report based upon material type against movement type for a period ?
i need a inventory report which should be based upon materil type & movement type for a particular period.
For example- for last monthe how much Raw material has been issued againast production order. i would like report to allow me ROH and movement type 261/262 and period entry. MB5B does not satisfy my requirements, ist of all there si no material type/secondly it restricts itself if i use movement types

You can create a small program to get report.
Input fields Date of posting BUDAT, Movement type BWART (Plant if required).
Check field BUDAT (Posting Date. Should check based on input date field.) In table MKPF.
If data falls in required date range. Pick MBLNR-MKPF (Mat doc number).
Go to table MSEG compare MBLNR-MKPF and MBLNR-MSEG if same pick field MATNR-MSEG (Mat number).
Go to MARA check MTART-MARA for picked MATNR-MARA (in previous step). Take the material type.
Add the below fields to out put
MATNR, MTART, BWART-MSEG (Movt type), ERFMG-MSEG (quantity posted), WERKS-MSEG (Plant received), LOGRT-MSEG (S. Loc received).
Please take advise from ABAPer regarding prog logic

QM/MM: Stock transfer from QI to QI in different storage location
Hi Gurus,
I want to transfer a QI stock to QI stock in the same plant but different storage location using MB1B 323 movements. But it has got QM status active. So without taking usage decision it doesn't allow us to move the stock. It needs a special inspection type which allow this transaction.
I dont want to create another inspection lot and dont want usage decision.
Can anyone suggest me the solution?

Stock determination with multiple storage locations
Dear Friends,
Kindly suggest how to do the following configuration in Stock
Determination.
The scenario is
For example Unrestricted Stock existing for material " X":
Plant 4000: 10 Qty
Sloc1 -- 6 qty
Sloc2 -- 4 qty
There is sales order (only plant is specified in Sales Order, No sloc) for 7 Pcs when the stock determination process is carried out it is showing the stock available is 10 qty. But when they make the PGI it is picking only 6, ie., from SLOC1, but it is not picking the balance 1 qty from SLOC2 even
though the material is available.
The same problem exists for Production order also.

Make sure you have maintained the priority for sorting & the item table for the same.
Also in the No.Splits ( number of splits ) give a maximum possible value like 999.
The problem happening in ur case is, i think this fiels in blank in configuration . So system is stoping the quantity spliting, which will look for the series of S.Locns till the target quantity is reached.

Crystal report based on BW query with two structures
Hi,
I use a BW query with 2 structures. In the rows there is a structure of restricted characteristic 0material. I used this characteristics several times in different rows to restrict these rows to specific products.
Cars
motorcycles
Others
In the columns I have a structure of key figures. Every key figure is restricted to a specific time intervall.
So in BW the executed query looks like this:
Key figure 1 Key figure 2 Key figure 3
Cars 10 30 100
motorcycles 20 100 30
Others 30 40 39
If I use the same query in Crystal then I have access to the 3 keyfigures and to one structure element.
How can I ensure that the query is displayed in CR like in BW? I tried to work with crosstabs but I was not able to get the same display like in BW.

Maybe your security software (anti-virus, firewall) is blocking Firefox.

SCVMM 2012 R2 - Problems with VM storage location

I have a SCVMM 2012 R2 HA Installation . Under vmm i have an 8 node hyper-v 2012 r2 cluster with cluster shared volumes. My problem is with VM placement. Every time i create a Virtual machine by default VMM chooses a spesific CSV that i don't want . Also
because of a provisioning engine i work a lot creating Vm's with powershell. The same happens with powershell. By default the VM's are created in a Volume i don't want. Is there a way to change this somehow ? If i go to each node properties and in placement
paths in the default paths i see all my CSV but the add-remove buttons are grayed out and i cannot remove or add anything.
Any ideas ?
ThanksRunning the VM Deployment wizard when deploying to a host group, you are able to specify the CSV for placement. this is also possible through powershell using -path.
Normally, we recommend to use storage classification and associate vhdx's with the right classification so that the intelligent placement engine can take care of it for us.

Yes as you said running the Vm Deployment wizard i can choose the volume i want to create the VM. As i understand the default volume is the one with the largest free space. I also dont use storage classifications. All of my CSV's created manually before
VMM exists in my infastructure. Also as i see i cannot edit the placements in each hosts. It has as default all my CSV and add-remove is greyd out.

As i said in my previous post im using a provisioning portal (not 3rd party) to create Virtual Machines. Im using powershell to create my VM's . Can you help me a little with the -path command ? I have take the script from VMM for creation of machines BUT
vmm dos not put somethere the -path command. It only have
Set-SCVMConfiguration -VMConfiguration $virtualMachineConfiguration -VMLocation but with this it only creates the vm configuration in the path i choose and vmdisks are going to the default path vmm chooses (the csv with the most free
space).
Any ideas ?

Problem with Scanning storage location
have been using elements 9 and have scanned many pix which seem to be automatically stored in pictures/adobe/scanned photos - no problem - they pop up in the organizer, then I can work on them if I want. all of a sudden, they are going to a different location - application data/local/temp/PSAlbumImport. They do not automatically pop up in the organizer any longer. I have no idea how this happened - have tried reinstalling the HP printer/scanner, and other solutions looking for a way to designate where to store. I had been using Elements "file","get pictures",from scanner" and following instructions from there. Worked great until something changed. Have been trying to figure this out for 2 days - am in the middle of a big project and am going slowly mad.......

I'm afraid that I don't have a clue why things changed.
In the Organizer, have you checked to see what location has been set up?
See Edit -> Preferences -> Scanner - under files is the location where it will store the images by default.
