Stop a Transaction from a BAdI

Hi guys, I'm using Ecc 6.0 here,
In Transaction ME41, when you register the vendor for RFQ (request for quotation), a few Badis are triggered, inside the badi, when I see that there is no e-mail for that vendor, I need to prevent the transaction from registering the vendor, I already tryed rollback work but didnt worked.
Which is the right way to stop the transaction from a badi?

Your apple account is showing you still owe for this download. You wont be able to download anything to you pay your balance. Since it was a "mixup", you should call apple support. Tell them your issue and get your account resolved.

Middleware filter settings to block transactions from flowing into CRM

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement where in we need to stop the transactions from flowing to CRM from ECC based on the combination of transaction type and number range.
Here is the detailed scenario:
We have transaction types T1,T2 and T3.
Number range of T1 is 1000 to 2000
Number range of T2 is 10000 to 20000.
Number range of T2 is 1000 to 2000
Number range of T3 is 1000 to 2000
Transactions T2 (With number range 10000 to 20000) and T3 are originating in ECC.
Transactions T2 (With number range 1000 to 2000) and T1 are originating in CRM.
We need transactions T1, T2 (With number range 10000 to 20000) and T3 to flow back to CRM from ECC, but not T2 (With number range 1000 to 2000).
I tried to figure out a combination that I can enter in the middleware filter settings but couldn't get one.
Any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

Hi Kris,
Can you check if you can add the Number range filter value in Table SMOFFILFLD and then maintain the number range filter to restrict the T2 transaction type as per your scenario.

You can create a validation in the transaction OB28.
example:
Prerequisite BKPF-USNAM <> " "
Check BKPF-BKPF-HWAER
check bkpf-BKPF-WAERS
You should create a message error in the transaction SE91 to be displayed:
Example:
Z1 001 You are not allowed to use this currency anymore, obsolete !!
After that run the program RGUGBR00 with just the last 2 flags not selected.

How do you stop Mountain Lion from making endless copies and backups of everything?!

I already have a similar topic on this when I needed to figure out how to stop Mountain Lion from making endless copies of my text edit files and I was going to try the disabling of it that someone in that thread suggested, but I can't find where the Versions backups are being stored.
Anyway, tonight I cam across a new problem, when I went into "about this Mac" and looked at my Storage, I had almost 1gb of data in the "backups" section. I just happened to have Finder open when I went into the Time Machine in the status bar and when it entered Time Machine, I had dozens of copies of my desktop. Thing is, I don't have my Time Machine hard drive connected and I don't have a Time Capsule router/hard drive. And don't give me this garbage about how "It's not real backups, it's just a snapshot" or whatever, because the ONLY things that I have stored on my computer that I have altered since I got mountain lion is two Text Edit files and the Finder Desktop (and yes, I have checked almost all the programs I use, and of the things that Time Machine will open in, those are the only things that have backups listed that I can access) and almost 1gb is being taken up completely needlessly with the computer backing up things onto itself. Obviously these are more than just snapshots and are obviously the real files because after throwing EVERYTHING on my desktop into a file, that file is only 3.8mb in size, so that almost 1GB in backups is coming from SOMEWHERE.
The solution I aluded to in my first sentence also depends on going into the Terminal to make each individual app stop auto saving Versions, however, since my desktop is being backed up, there's no program to stop Mountain Lion from doing that.
Can anyone help me figure out how to make it stop backing up? Seriously, almost 1 gb is being totally wasted on a series of desktop items that are 3.8mb in size, one Text Edit file that is 250kb in size, and another text edit file that is 41kb in size. What person in Apple would possibly have thought this endless backing up of files onto the main hard drive would have been a good idea? So in a year if I did nothing but go on the internet, save one picture to one file on my desktop and did nothing else with my computer, would I have 200 gb of desktop backups that the computer saved onto itself? Are you kidding me? OR failing that, can anyone tell me how to find this damned backup file and delete it? I'm not an idiot, I know how to plug in a hard drive or flash drive and backup my information, I don't need my computer to be making hundreds of copies of every single file on my computer that I change slightly onto itself that not only needlessly eats up it's own space, but if the hard drive died, all those "backups" would be gone too because it wrote the backups to itself.
I am so frustrated by this totally ridiculous and wasteful "feature" they put in, it does nothing but waste hard drive space with it's hundreds of copies of everything you alter slightly. And I am absolutely not starting any video editing projects until I figure out how to turn this off. If around 4mb of total text and desktop backups add up to almost 1gb in a few weeks, what the heck is a video editing project going to end up in with size? Am I the only one completely flustered by this ridiculousness? Is there any point in writing into Apple to complain or are they just going to say "No, we're brilliant, we think this is an amazing feature so you just have to deal iwth it and when your hardd drive fills up, too bad, jerk!"?? Short of that, no I have been capable of making my own backups since I was 16 years old (16 years ago) I don't need my computer to endlessly do it for me in a way I am completely unable to shut off. That's what I have external hard drives, flash drives, a DVD burner, Drop Box, E-mail (as in emailing copies to myself) and icloud for. If I am doing something and I don't have access to a single one of those options, I don't know why I brought my computer with me in the first place. And I don't see how you can say it's an illusory gain in disk space, hundreds of copies of text documents, garageband files, Final Cut files, Motion Files and basically any program that makes files onto my comptuer that I can myself make incremental changes to, those all need to be stored somehow. Again, if you can explain to me how July 26 - Aug 16 is a week, I will agree with you that that is a good thing because IF it only saved for a week, it wouldn't be an issue. Sadly, no matter how many links you post, I still have text edit backups stretching from today back to July 26. They're not going away and I have no reason to beleive any other file I edit is going to go away either since they haven't been. They're all there eating up HD space and this imaginary "week" limit is simply not coming into effect. I hate it and there needs to be a simple way to simply shut it off. I didn't spend hundreds of dollars on external drives just for my main hard drive to be filled up with hundreds un useless, undeletable backups of stuff I already have backed up.

I may be incorrect on this so I need immediate assistance as I have poster and ad deadlines. I also tried disabling the gatekeeper and solution 3 on the troubleshooting of slow saving on photoshop.

Are you attempting to save the file to a network location instead of your local hard drive? If so, this is probably why you are encountering an issue and why Adobe Drive would be the solution. As we've documented, it is a bad idea to open from or save directly to a network source: Networks, removable media | Photoshop | CS4 and later. Drive can help you get around this by setting up an Adobe supported virtual connection to the network. Thus, if installing Adobe Drive is the solution you need and your need help with installing Drive, please post to the Downloading, Installing, Setting Up forum.
If you are not saving to a network location, then Adobe Drive is not going to be the answer. Then we'll need to know more about the file you are saving.

How to stop PR creation from PM work order for a particular vendor?

We have following scenario for breakdown maintenance activities.
When a machine breaks down, a breakdown order is created in SAP. The external manintenance services are planned in the order. When the order is released, a single PR (with multiple item numbers corresponding to number of services) is created by SAP. The PR has a release strategy. When PR is released, PO is created followed by the SES.
The practice followed AS -IS for breakdown outside business hours:- If the breakdown happens outside business working hours, the person releasing the PRs is not available & hence PR can not be released resulting in no PO & no subsequent SES.
In this case, the maintenance is completed by the external agency & the work order is TECO. The next day, TECO is reveresed, new PR is created, released, converted into PO, & then SES.
TO-BE process:- Client expects that, for certain vendors identified, PR should not get created at all from the breakdown order. (The list of vendors will be maintained seperately). For these vendors, a framework order will be created at the start of fiscal year & SES will be created as & when required agaainst the framework order.
My concern is :- How to stop PR creation from PM work order for a particular vendor? OR delete the created PR?

As we know Vendor selection comes at a later stage only after your PR creation, approval & RFQ etc. & PR generation from maintaine. order is controllled through control key PM03. While triggering PR from order you have to specify Material group, Purchase group and vendor. Try to control it through authorisation as all these are authorisation objects. The persons executing breakdown order shall no t be given this authoriations

Stopping iMovie HD from opening a project automatically

Is there a way to stop iMovie HD from automatically opening the last project worked on? I work at a college and am in charge of an editing station where I don't want students accidently removing someone's project.

There's probably a better way to do this -- an 'official' way that relies on user permissions and such. But a 'quick and dirty' way is to lock the iMovie preference file. (In User/Library/Preferences folder, named 'com.apple.iMovie.plist'.)
iMovie HD saves the name of the most-recently opened project in that file. If the file is locked, the name isn't saved.
iMovie saves lots of other stuff there too, including the latest Ken Burns settings and all user-definable preferences. Saving them -- or not saving them -- may be good or bad, depending on the behavior you want. The user will be able to configure user settings for her current session, but the prefs won't be saved across multiple sessions.
Before locking the prefs file, it's important you configure the preferences you want as iMovie's default settings. Start by discarding the current prefs file -- while iMovie is NOT running. Then launch iMovie, create a new project (which you'll discard later), then set the user prefs to what you want. (The playback quality is important). Set any Ken Burns settings you want as the default and import an image. Save the project.
Now close the project window. The "what do you want to do now?" window will open. When you quit from this window, iMovie will save NO project as the recent project in the prefs file. Quit iMovie from this window.
In the Finder, locate the prefs file and lock it. Now the prefs you set will be the default for each user. Launching iMovie will open to the "what do you want to do now?" window.

How to stop the transaction in a server override

I have created a server override S_TieFolder. In the extendedPostAddItem method I call a database procedure. This procedure returns a boolean value (success : true/false). When the procedure returns the false value, I want to stop the item from being added to the folder. How can I do this ?
(Normally, I would raise an exception but the extendedPostAddItem method only throws IfsException : is there an ifsexception I can use in this case and does raising an exception create the effect I want (i.e. prevent the item from being added to the folder) )
Any samples, comments or ideas are welcome !!!

Stop a job from printing

Hope Experts how are you today?
One of our users created a job SD_203_Z_AUTO_DEL. Everytime this jobs runs it prints out. She would like to stop this job from printing. Is there anything in SM37 job overview that I need to change. If not in SM37 than were do I go. I see that SU01 under Spool Control OutputDevice is QU6, but if I change this than she won't be able to print anything. Sorry for the novice question. I don't spend alot of time in SAP these days........

Using transaction SM37, you can select the job from the list and select Job -> Change from the menu. Select the Step button, which will list the steps in the job. Select the step (program) that creates the output and select Step -> Change from the menu. There should be a Print Specifications button at the bottom of the screen. Select this button and then select the Properties button. Change the Time of Printing to 'Send to SAP spool' and save all of your entries.

Stop document flow from Lead to Activities

Hi gurus,
Got a very simple question. I have created a bunch of custom activities. Now all of them should be accessible to Opportunity but only some of them should be accessible from the Lead.
At this point all these activities are available (document data flows from Lead to all Activties) to the Lead. When a user creats a Lead and tries to create a follow-up activity from here, he should not view certain Acitvities (only the Opportunity should be able to access them). I haven't done anything (copy control etc) specific for this to happen, hence I do not know how to stop this happening

In SAP Standard you can always create any type of activity as a follow-up transaction from any transaction. The copy control customizing only is valid for non-activities. So if you want to exclude some activities from being created as a follow-up transaction in certain szenarios you need to modify the standard I am afraid.

Well, I do... it's dated Nov. 5, 2013. iTunes was updated to 11.2.2 after that date wasn't it? Like in June, 2014, correct? Fuhgeddaboutit!
So I marked it as not being helpful - whatever.
ARE WE HAVING FUN YET? Fasten your safety harness, cause we have some real exciting, mundane stuff comin' right at cha next.
Next I need to know if you are the only user with Admin privs for the iTunes Account; iTunes can be finicky when there several users and more than one and only one has Admin privs. You can share media but if someone whose name we won't mention thinks that they can be an Admin too, you'll have to straighten that out behind closed doors. I know, I know... this is probably is not the case. This is just boilerplate stuff we have to get out of the way... just because.
Next we have the 'safe boot' approach. That's when you shut down completely and then start the machine up while holding down the shift key until you finally get to Safe Mode (it takes longer to start up doing this because the system is clearing certain caches & making sure some other things are ok). But once you get there, it usually indicates that (in red letters) right on your sign-in screen.
So after you sign in, you simply try to open iTunes. No wait! LOL! There is no sound in Safe Mode but what we are doing by starting up iTunes - in addition to the aforementioned, is trying to rule-out any conflicts with any 3rd part software that may be interfering with iTunes.But the good news is that if iTunes starts which it probably will - albeit w/ no sound, then at least you know what the problem isn't.
FYI, that's how a differential diagnosis is done. Just ask this guy:

To be honest, if none of this helps, you're best bet is checking out the iTunes threads... especially if Chris CA is around cause he's the top gun (for iTunes) & pose the question via a new thread like, "Why won't Genius go away?" He solves problems like this - bada bing bada boom.

How to stop OS X from retrieving reverse DNS name ?!

I have a small problem that's very annoying. I manage a couple dozen Macs at work via ARD. All Macs are up to date and so is ARD.
Recently i started to notice something bizzare in ARD, meaning that from time to time a couple of Macs that were passed over from an ex employee to another current employee, behaved erradic in ARD. Sometimes they appear offline, sometimes they dissaper entirely (also in Scanner), BUT most of the times they appear with incorrect DNS name (ex DNS name from the ex employee or even duplicates DNS names)
I attached a pic in which you can clearly see what i'm all about.
I tried different situations and config mods, and i almost nailed it when i changed the DHCP DNS settings from the router. Currently the router LAN DNS settings points to the local server (ie: 10.0.1.2) which has DNS enabled and then to the public DNS. If i switch the entires, then the DNS names appear correctly in ARD, but if i do that i also loose the iChat service which is dependent of that entry.
SO i think the best way is to figure out a way to stop OS X from retrieveing reverse DNS names. Is this possible?

Most of our computers have static IP addresses assigned, so it is just some laptops that receive DHCP that seem to get confused in ARD sometimes. As in your case, the computers themselves never have an issue - it is just ARD that gets mixed messages. It also never seems to affect ARD, it just displays incorrectly. While I'm not entirely convinced this is fixable, I took the advice of the thread above and when it gets really bad, I simply go to "All Computers" and delete everything out. Then I quit and reopen ARD and then from the Scanner, I re-add the computers and re-organize them. We only have about 30 computers, so it goes quick when they are all turned on. They seem to stay pretty organized for a while... and then the cycle begins again.

How to stop duplicate copy from printing

I have a typical scenario where the duplicate copy is getting printed before some cash movements.I have to stop the form from printing and the driver program is standard 1.can the control set in a smartform not to print if the cash movements are not done???
i tired using leave program but it stops the total transaction.
I only want to stop the printing of the smartform.

Stop Businness Partner from Saving

Hi,
Is there a way I can stop a BP from saving in the UI when the user has entered the wrong ID Number, I implemented BADIs like BUPA_IDENT_CHECK which works fine for showing the error messages that the ID Number is incorrect but it still allows the user to save the BP.
I also tried using the do_validate_input method but it still allows the user to save. Is there some code that I need to add after displaying the messages to prevent it from saving? Please assist.
