Strange Error when trying to publish code from author instance to publish instance

When I attempt to publish code I get error "Cowardly Refusing to tree-activate "/apps". There are no addtional messages and when I try to package up the same objects and import them, I recieve an minimal message Error Uploading XXX.Zip.
Has anyone run into these messages before?

The tree activation error is built in validation, it will not tree activate a top level directory. You will get the same message if you did /content for example. But if you do /apps/foo it will work.
I don't about uploading error - have you looked at your server logs? It could be a permissions issue or a disk space issue - especially if you package is large.

Also have you tried to just browse to the phone from My Computer, locate phone as a camera and just drill down into the folders and copy off the images (or cut/paste)

Strange Error when previewing or publishing

I am getting a very strange error when I publish to BC or when I go to preview in browser:
"Adobe Muse has encountered an error.. blah blah"
and then a very confusing:
"There should not be such ID exists in the mapping"
It forces Muse to close.
I can't think of any significant step I took to cause this problem from when it was working.

To enable the frequent release of new features within Muse, the team is always simultaneously working on many different improvements only some of which are completed and exposed in any given release. In the 2014.1 update some of the underlying code related to SVG support was unintentionally enabled. When copying and pasting from some versions of Adobe Illustrator (and other sources) the result may be an SVG vector graphic in Muse, rather than an image. While the SVG may appear to work in Design view, it can cause failures when exporting or publishing from Muse. This functionality will be disabled in an imminent dot release, 2014.1.1. We advise users to remove SVG content from their sites. Until 2014.1.1 is available, the graphics will need to be brought into Muse as .png, .jpg, .gif or .psd images using File > Place or Import, rather than Copy/Paste.
Sorry for the inconvenience. SVG support will be fully implemented, tested and included in a future major update of Muse.

Client ADI App File Server Connection error when trying to publish report.

Our users are having intermittent problems when trying to publish reports from their Client ADI process to Excel. They are receiving the error:
"An error occurred while attempting to establish an Applications File Server Connection. There may be a network configuration problem, or the TNS listener may not be running. Nodename:"
The problem is this issue will be present for a user and then for no reason that user will be able to publish reports again. Or several users will get this error and one user will be able to publish reports. The only consistency is when it errors out they get this message. The listener appears to be up and running as well.
We are running 11.5.10.2 and ADI version: 7.2.12
Any helps or tips would be appreciated.

Please let me know if you have any ideas because "The [Download] operation is halting due to the following failure: null" means nothing to me.
Please note changing the maintenace mode makes no difference.

Please enable Verbose Logging on the propagation servlet

and check the logs on the server, they might give a clue

8008 Error when trying to download movies from iTunes

I've searched Google and the discussion boards but no one seems to have a fix for the 8008 error when trying to download movies in iTunes. I have the latest version of iTunes, my Mac Mini is up to date with all of it's patches, I've tried deleting the movie in the download folder and redownload the movie but I still get nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions for a fix?

These alerts occur due to timeouts or conflicts trying to write a file during download.
If you encounter this issue while while downloading something from the iTunes Store:
Delete your iTunes Downloads folder, located in:
Mac OS X:  ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads Note: "iTunes Media" may appear as "iTunes Music. Also, the tilde (~) refers to your Home directory.
After locating your iTunes Downloads folder:
Quit iTunes.
Delete the Downloads folder on your computer.
Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
Enter your account name and password.

A DART extraction job terminates with runtime error TYPELOAD_NEW_VERSION and error message:
Data type "TXW_INDEX" was found in a newer version than required.
The termination occurs in the ABAP/4 program "SAPLTXW2 " in "TXW_SEGMENT_RECORD_EXPORT".

Cause and prerequisites
This problem seems to happen when several DART extraction jobs are running in parallel, and both jobs access table TXW_INDEX.
Solution
If possible, avoid running DART extractions in parallel.
If you do plan to run such jobs in parallel, please consider the following points:
In the DART Extract configuration, increase the value of the parameter "Maximum memory allocation for index (MB)" if possible. You can estimate reasonable values with the "File size worksheet" utility.
Run parallel DART jobs on different application servers.
As an alternative, please apply note 400195.

Run time error when trying to import bookmarks from firefox

When trying to import bookmarks from Firefox to Safari I get the following error message: "Run Time Error. This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way." Safari does not function anymore and I have to close it. Can somebody help me? I am using a PC with Windows 7.

In the Bookmarks Manager (Library) there is a toolbar with the Back and Forward button and three other buttons (Organize, Views, Import & Backup).

* The second button is the Views button that allows to change the sort order for viewing purposes (doesn't sort permanently).

From your description, when you export a SharePoint list to excel from chrome, you get an error.
In my SharePoint 2013, when I export a SharePoint list to excel from chrome, it works fine.
For your issue, make sure the excel client have been installed in your environment.
To narrow down the issue, I would like to confirm the following information:
To check whether the issue is related to the browser, I suggest you to do a test in other browsers, such as IE and compare the results.
What version is your office client? office 2013 or 2010? 32bit or 64 bit?

Get error when trying to publish crystal report to infoview

Hi, Gurus,
I got an error while trying to publish a Crystal report.
The error message says: Fail to read data from report file C:\TEMP~crw{70BDE794-E283-4773-A259-BA810F3E1697}.rpt. Failed to read parameter object.
I'm using a dynamic cascading parameter. The report runs fine in development enviornment.
I'm using Crystal 2008 SP2 and XI3.1

There are several SAP NOTES (KB articles) on this error, have you tried searching Knowledge base ?
Most likely it's due to the fact that you have a verson mismatch between CR 2008 and XI3.1.

Error when trying to truncate table from within PL/SQL

Does anyone know why I get an error when trying to execute the following command from within PL/SQL?
truncate table event;
The error is as follows:
ORA-06550: line 20, column 14:
PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "TABLE" when expecting one of the following:
:= . ( @ % ;
The symbol ":= was inserted before "TABLE" to continue.

And as a DDL, it does a COMMIT just before it runs. Whether you want a COMMIT or not.
And with all the locking and serialization issues associated with a DDL.

Error msg states that you have used crossdim operator with the member of same dim. Cross check again.
EX:
"C1130"->"Headcount" -> "SG&A" -> "All Projects" -> "All Employees"
Are all of these members belong to different dimesions?

Error when trying to migrate project from labwindows 2010 SP1 over to VS2008

I'm sure I've been successful back with this when running CVI 8.5 and VS2003 / 2005, but I keep gettin the following error when trying to do this with my current configuration. What am I missing?

Not recently, but what I would say is that CVI 2010 SP1 was installed after my VS2008 installation, so it ought to be in the right order.... When I get a moment I'll reinstall the CVI runtime and see what happens. Its not critical that I get this fixed, as the project in question is so small, and as the important parts are almost competely ANSI C, it should be really easy to reconstruct in C# anyway. I'll let you know what happens anyway
