Strange response from edi partner : Time out

Dear experts,
I am using AS2 adapter receiver channel for my partner to receive a file .This partner unlike other partners is not receiving normal AS2 standard formats like 850 or 810 but a .csv tab delimited file having six columns .I used XML2Plain conversion using /AF_module/... in modules.
Now, Issue is that when i do not use any module and let go .xml to partner then i am able to successfully send him file using AS2 .I get acknowledgment also.
But when i use /AF_module i get timeout from partner end.Using this same module on file reciever i get the file clearly placed in desired delimited format in local ftp path.
Now as an addon thinking may be they do not accept .csv,i added zip module to add.csv to zip and then attempted to send to partner using AS2.
I get timeout as before. But again on attempting on FTP side ,i see a good zip file with my desired file placed inside. What mystery is this ?

I just feel to add an observation which make me believe is a reason for timeout.Normal xml file when send successfully has url as http://url.com but when i use AF_Module i get https://url.com automatically redirected. How by AF_Module this is happening.Did someone get this before?

  • Response from a long time customer... who will be a long time customer no mo

I just browsed into the forum to get some help because I cannot get a microphone to work under Vista on my XFI Platinum. I also have an Audigy which as we all know has major issues as well and of which does not function under Vista correctly either.
.....And when I got here for some help, I got hit upside the head with this brewing Daniel K controversy.
To say this is unbelievable is an understatement. I became a Creative customer way back with the release of their first products... after being a C-64/C-28/Amiga user for years (still am actually!). Dam how I wish the Amiga were still a main stream system.....
To learn that Creative has, in effect, mislead all of us in such a way that my sound card does not operate properly?because I am running Vista and WITHOUT TELLING ME is completely unacceptable.
And this now explains why I have spent countless hours and days trying to get things working. Problems including crappy sound output (i.e distortion at volume), inability to get a microphone to function, lack of functionality of all the high end features on the card... the reason I bought it in the first place. It makes me extremely angry to know I have spent all this time trying to get things working?only to now find?it has been an entire waste because of your actions with the drivers. I have not?wasted days trying to fix this... I?have wasted MONTHS!Whomever the hell made this decision is an idiot. PERIOD - and I hope he or she reads this and chokes on it.
Your reaction toward someone simply trying to help resolve the driver issues, even if he was asking for donations, was unacceptable as well, in my opinion. You have failed to do anything so someone else did. Of course it made it much worse to find out you PURPOSELY mislead all of us and PURPOSELY disabled features and functions.
Hardware is what you make money off of, not drivers. In the past when I have upgraded, I have simply taken the old hardware and donated it to a good cause that needed it or put it in another older system that did not need the high end specs I was wanting or needing for a new system AND I could count on it function with the drivers because the hardware was still working solid. You should be giving us reason to WANT to upgrade.
I.E. Quality, features, reliability, customer support.
Now, instead you have really screwed the pooch and tried forcing us. You took years of me looking at your products as good, top of line, quality and functional to trash.
What really pisses me off is the nice set of speakers I blew out because of the sound quality output and the massi've noise burst that happened when updating the drivers a couple months ago. That now explains why that happened and I now know it was YOUR fault that this occurred during a driver update and reboot. (at reboot, when windows loaded, the sound blared out at full distorted volume and short of cutting power I was unable to abort it in time).
There is not much more for me to say here that others have not already stated. But I needed to make my thoughts public.
to Creative:? I am not some child or young kid who is just upset because things do not work. I am a 45 year old who has worked with computers since the C-64 as a hobby. Like, I am sure most others here on this forum, I know the insides and outs of my system, how it works, how to configure it and etc etc. Because of your actions and my struggles you have now lost what was a customer you had for the last 23 years or so. This action and your lack of support of your products, your customers and those simply trying to help has now cost you me and my business. I hope that makes you very happy.
Additionally, I will be watching and waiting and should a class action be taken against you for fraud, commercial deception, and false advertising, you can rest assured I WILL be participating.
Just off the top I would say we all have a pretty good argument and case. So if things do take a turn that direction, I am in.
In my RL work, I am in law enforcement. I deal with people who commit crimes everyday out there, people who boldly look me in the face and lie to me outright... Now I get to come home and instead of being able to not worry about being ripped off, taken advantage of and being able to trust companies I purchase from, I now have to think?of them just like those I deal with on the street. Now I have to look at companies like Creative who have also taken the path of boldly and outright lying to me as well. ?Instead of assuming you are honest, now I guess the time has come for me to assume you are lying to me like everyone else does.
What a freaking year... first a certain high end video card maker and their driver issues (won't say who, but will say it is?not ATI) and now Creative. I thought I had seen it all with the video card maker... but this from Creative?!
    This out does everything else.
In the meantime, I am right now making a purchase.... of a competitors high end audio card to replace the X-Fi card currently in my system. Unbelieveable.
    Sincerely,
    Todd

    (Malakie)

Amen, I plugged in my first Soundblaster 8 bit card 20 years ago, and the being left without a decent driver for Vista for an Audigy I had less than 6 months hacked me off.... Then I find out they intentionally were not upgrading the drivers to force new hardware purchase? (And I was considering getting an X-Fi)... and now the shear arrogance of the management of creative?
"? O'Shaughnessy admits that Creative Labs intentionally crippled its Vista drivers as a business strategy.
"If we choose to develop and provide host-based processing features with certain sound cards and not others, that is a business decision that only we have the right to make."
I run a business myself, and the correct business decision is one that helps both the customer and the company, not the one that is an blatent attempt to screw the customer.
I only see 2 options for creative to survi've at this point.
One, Apologize, either fix their drivers quickly (in the next week or two) or hire Daniel_K drivers, and distribute his drivers. Key workd is quickly here.
    Two, Quickly offer a rebate/tradein program...and a significant one, not a 0% off sale...at least a 40-50% off sale. ?
I don't expect # 2 because that will be a hard financial hit on a company that is suffering anyway. ? But # will not create as much goodwill.....and goodwill is what creative needs because of the mismanagement of this situation, and the admission that it was done strictly to force purchase of their hardware. ?
Unfortunately, I think in either event, creative is now doomed.

  • Strange response from "Find Friends".

We gave our grandkids each an iPod for Christmas. They are both signed in to "Find Friends" so  we can help locate their iPods if they ever lose or misplace them. Most of the time we can see their iPods in their home in Columbus, Ohio. But about 20% of the time, their iPods show up in Chicago, Illinois, same address/building on the north side of Chicago. They have no other iPods signed in to Find Friends, the app just shows the iPods as being hundreds of miles away. Any ideas? No one else has their log in names or info. The place in Chicago appears to be an office or warehouse of some kind. They are on AT&T for wifi.

For location the iPod uses the location nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's data base. You do not have to be connect to the router.
Thus, it appears that the router(s) the iPod is using to get the erroneous locations does not have the correct location in Apple's database. Apple continuously updates their database based on data it obtains from iPhones. No one has found a way to tell apple to correct/add a wifi router to their database.

  • Opening an application from other application causes time out - urgent...

    Hi All,
I have a wierd issue using weblogic server 9.2 mp2.
Here is the breif overview of the environment and issue.
    Environment: WLS - 9.2 mp2
In this weblogic server i have two Managed servers.
    Managed Server 1 : MS1
    Managed Server 2 : MS2
Two Applications deployed on the server.
    myapp1 on MS1 URL: http://myappserver:7309/myapp1
    myapp2 on MS2 URL: http://myappserver:7310/myapp2
    Now here is the issue.
    I launch myapp2 from myapp1 using javascript window.open()
In this configuration when i launch myapp2 from myapp1, myapp1 times out.
Now when i deploy both app on same managed server (say MS1) and launch myapp2 from myapp1, myapp1 does not time out.
I deployed myapp1 on my local machine and launched myapp2 and it works fine. It times out only when both apps are on same weblogic server but different Managed server.
any pointers would be greatly helpful.
    Regards,
    B

    Hi James,
Are you sure the ports are correct in the javascript link when the apps are deployed to different managed servers?
Yes i made sure the port number is currect.
Have you tried using absolute URL's instead of relative links?
Yes i am putting the absolute URL.
When you say the timeout occurs, where are you observing this timeout, in the browser or something in the server logs?
I can see the time out in the browser. I checked the server log but it does not say anything.
    Hope it clears the air.
    Regards,
    B

some thoughts ...This error is not happening consistently, it triggers near the end of month ,naturally the amount of requests in the end of month is higher .. am i hitting som e limit ?

  • ESB and Secured Web Service strange response

    Hi guys,
We are facing strange response from ESB when we try to talk to a Secured Siebel service. Credentials are passed useing SOAP header, and in test case of not including any header at all.
1-First try will return error, bad user name password
2-Second or third try may even return actually results from Siebel service (and header is not included at all). I tested using SOAPUI tool.
3-But If I test Siebel Service directly things go fine.
Question: Is there some thing like a caching of SOAP header in ESB, if not an idea on how can after giving first fault second try right after that returns query results (from siebel service).
    any helps apperciated.
    thanks

there shouldn't much difference in the time for the response ..., also when you are calling the secured web service from another BPEL, make sure you don't consider the time of the calling process ( i mean that BPEL ). you just try calling the secured web service from the EM console if it is a SOA composite. do you see any messages in the log files ? the procedure you followed is correct only, confirm here., i have posted a similar solution long back..
Re: Creating a partnerlink  from a secure webservice
    Thanks,

  • Fire fox times out every time I do Google search, I have Juno as a dial up for a spare and I get Norton with that.

Since reinstalling Juno i have not been able to use search from Mozilla, It times out all the time. The juno site allows the search to continue. I would like to stay with Mozilla since all my favorite are there. My favorites do not have this problem only when I google a new inquiry.

Unfortunately, using a Dial-up connection will result in alot of time-outs in this day's internet. However, I'll post a few potential fixes below, that might help alleviate the issue.
First, try to reset Firefox. [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]]. This simple step will eliminate many Firefox problems with only one click.
A few other basic trouble shooting things you can try is this:
Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.
Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]]
Update all your plugins (Flash, Java, etc.): [http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/ http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/].
Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. You can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.

  • Strange response time for an RFC call viewed from STAD on R/3 4.7

    Hello,
On our R/3 4.7 production system, we have a lot of external RFC calls to execute an  abap module function. There are 70 000 of these calls per day.
The mean response time for this RFC call is 35 ms.
Some times a few of them (maybe 10 to 20 per day) are way much longer.
I am currently analysing with STAD one of these long calls  which lasted 10 seconds !
Here is the info from STAD
    Response time :                10 683 ms
Total time in workprocess : 10 683 ms
    CPU time  :                               0 ms

Does anybody have an idea of what is the system doing during the 10 seconds  processing time ?

    Hi Graham,
Thank you for your input and thoughts.
I will have to investigate on RZ23N and RZ21 because I'm not used to use them.
I'm used to investigate performance problems with ST03 and STAD.
My system is R/3 4.7 WAS 6.20. ABAP and BASIS 43
    Kernel 6.40 patch level 109
We know these are old patch levels but we are not allowed to stop this system for upgrade "if it's not broken" as it is used 7/7 24/24.
I'm nearlly sure that the problem is not an RFC issue because I've found other slow dialog steps for web service calls and even for a SAPSYS technical dialog step  of type <no buffer>. (what is this ?)
This SAPSYS dialog step has the following data :
    User : SAPSYS
    Task type : B
    Program : <no buffer>
    CPU time                       0 ms
    RFC+CPIC time              0 ms
Total time in workprocs    5.490 ms
    Response time               5.490 ms
Wait for work process           0 ms
    Processing time             5.489 ms
    Load time                            0 ms
    Generating time                   0 ms
    Roll (in+wait) time                0 ms
Database request time          1 ms ( 3 Database requests)
    Enqueue time                       0 ms
All hundreds of other SAPSYS <no buffer> steps have a less than 5 ms response time.
It looks like the system was frozen during 5 seconds...
Here are some extracts from STAD of another case from last saturday.

  • Time Out Error while waiting for response from DB Procedure

    Hi Gurus,
We are encountering a problem in our production environment. The system is implemented using AIA foundation pack 2.5 on SOA suite 10.1.3.4.
We have a BPEL process A which calls an ESB Service which inturn calls BPEL Process B. In process B, we have a DB procedure call which waits for a response from
a DB procedure. The procedure doesn't reply on time and Process B remains in waiting state to get the response from DB Procedure wherein Process A errors out by showing as "Timed Out Error".
This issue is intermittent and we have already increased transaction-time outs in transaction-manager.xml to 7200 and ejb-orion-jar.xml to 3600.
When we encountered this problem, we found out that there are too many connections open and when we bounced the server, everything was restored to nornal but as it is a production env. we can't do it over and over again.
We have 2 nodes each having max connections as 100 and min. as 0.
Is there a limit to max no. of connections or can we do something in DB side to ensure that it doesn't happen again ?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Vikas Manchanda

    Hi Anuj,
I don't think it is a problem with connection reaching to max numbers because this issue is coming on very intermittent basis.we don't have any other processes using
the same connection pool and this issue is coming even when there is no load on the server. This is recent trace from the production environment. Also i don't have any thing called "abandoned-connection-pool" in my data-sources.xml.

  • Time out when trying to open Word/Excel document from portal

Several of our users have been timing out when trying to open/download documents stored in our portal.
The error message is "Download failed. Connection to server was reset."
Is there some obvious setting that I am missing here?
It happens with things as small as 200K - Word and Excel documents.
    thanks!!

  • Remote Desktop Connection Times Out With "Can't Connect" From One Specific Computer Only

This is an odd one... I manage several servers from this computer. This particular server, 2012 Essentials, won't allow for remote desktop connections to either the server or attached workstations. I can get into the server's remote web page but when I
attempt a remote desktop connection, it hangs on "Initiating remote connection..." and then times out with the error response that remote desktop can't connect. But... if I attempt the same connections from any other computer, I am able to get in
and utilize remote desktop. Does this mean that there is a certificate issue with the computer unable to connect and if so, how does one remedy this? Or is it some other issue? I've attempted everything within my technical ability to no avail. Any suggestions
    are greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Before going further, would you please let me know the RDC version that used in the problematic computer? Was it the same with other computers?
Please temporarily disable firewall and then check if this issue can be solved. Based on your current description, it’s hard to say the root reason of this issue.
So, I suggest that you should check relevant log files and get some clues. It will help us to narrow down and solve your issue.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Justin Gu

The stats as read at the modem level at that moment in time were o/k but there are three additional signal stats which can't be read by the modem. They can only be read from their end by them polling the CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System) at the local headend facility.
They are the 'Upstream Receive Power Level', the 'uSNR' (upstream Signal To Noise Ratio), and the "ICFR" (In Channel Frequency Response). These are as equally important in diagnosing connectivity issues as are the modem's stats.
You can call in and ask what these figures are. The Upstream Receive Power Level should fall within the range of -2dB to +2dB with 0dB being in the middle and perfect.
The Upstream SNR should be least 31dB, and the higher it is the better.
The ICFR should be no higher than 2 dB.
You could have an intermittent noise ingress issue in only the upstream channel(s) / return path only somewhere.
They will be able to see whether or not everything is in the green zone and also see a history plot for the modem.

  • LMS 3.2 SP1 - Syslog Report times out / CW14: NO HTTP response

    Hi,
in Device Center I can´t start the Syslog Report, it opens a new Browser window and times out.
If I start the "Device Troubleshooting" from the Device Center, all checks are successful. Just the check "Syslog Message" show the error: CW14: NO HTTP response from Servername
    I have LMS 3.2 SP 1 installed
I already re set the System Identity User and restarted the daemon, no success.
What should I check? Is it a known problem ?
    Best regards,
    Patrick

  • Explicit time out in DB Partner Link

    Hello,
How can we set explicit time out in DB Partner Link. I have used timeout property in PL but don't see its working.
    BPEL 10.1.3.4

Actually in above response i got this suggestion that you can use Catch All block. But for other faults also it will throw time out error if i will handle in Catch All block. So i think this is not a good way to handle the DB time out.
I am using a simple select query by using DB Adapter. If database invocation of any particular row fails it should throw time out error in catch block. But how can i handle it through a catch block of Invoke activity? If i am selecting remote fault error handler how exactly we can handle this.
Do you know any specific fault code for DB time out?
    Thanks
