Streaming music from my iPad to my iPod touch

Is there a way to stream music from my iPad to my iPod touch?  I have an iPod touch that I never use anymore since I got the iPad; so connecting the iPod to my stereo would be the best solution for me.

1. My iPod Touch has only 8GB; my iPad has 64GB.
2. I don't want to have to go to the "wired" iPod or iPad everytime I want to change songs; I want to stream to the iPod just like you can to a Windows PC, a Mac or an Apple TV, but using the smaller footprint iPod Touch that I already own.
OK.
But it still doesn't do what you want.

I just got the first generation ipad and wanted to know, for future reference if it were possible to transfer music from my ipad to my ipod touch.

Only via your computer's iTunes, not directly between the two devices.

You cannot do it directly.  iPods (that are not iPod touch) sync with computers (Windows or Mac) running iTunes.

Hi the question I have is. Can I put music from my IPad to my iPod?

Not directly no, you will need to sync it via your computer's iTunes. If they are iTunes purchases which are not yet on your computer's iTunes then you should be able to copy them over your computer via File > Transfer Purhcases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases if you have iTunes on your computer)

How do I iCloud my music from my iPad to my ipod...can seem to get it to work?

iCloud doesn't sync music between devices.  In most countries you can download music purchased from the iTunes store from iCloud (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519).  Also, if you subscribe to iTunes Match you can access your iTunes library (up to 25,000 songs) from iCloud (see http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/).
Otherwise, you have to sync your music to your devices from your computer using iTunes.

Would those work if I am using the 4g wifi hotspot on the ipad to get the music onto an ipod touch?  I am willing to give up third party music if this would work. Just not sure if it would work since the 4g wifi has that 50mb restriction

  • How can i transfer music from my IPad to my Ipod

Plug your iPad into a computer with iTunes.
    Transfer the music over.
Plug your nano into the same computer-move the music onto it.

  • Can you transfer music from a nano to a ipod touch?

Can you transfer music from the nano to the ipod touch? how?

After connecting your Ipod Touch to the computer and its icon appears in iTunes, you can choose Transfer Purchases from iPod (Ipod Nano) from the File menu.
Or you can right-click (Windows or Mac) or Control-click (Mac only) your Ipod Touch in the iTunes Source list, then choose Transfer Purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
Please note that this feature only works for items that were purchased on the iTunes Store. Any items imported from audio CDs or acquired from other sources will not copy from your iPod or iPhone to the iTunes library.
    Hope that helps you out.

  • HT201269 How can I sync my notes from my iPad to my iPod Touch?

I just bought the iPod Touch 5th Generation.  I want to sync my Notes from my iPad to my iPod Touch.  I cannot figure out how to do it.

    See:
iOS: Transferring information from your current iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a new device
That get all info transferred (except for iPad apps not compatible with the iPod)
For Note only, just use the same Apple ID for Settings>iCloud make sure that Notes is turned on in Settings>iCloud.

No since you can only sync with one computer.
    To switch syncing computers:

How do I move music from my nano to my ipod touch?

    You don't.
You sync your ipods to itunes on your computer.
Everything on your Nano had to come from your computer in the first place, so it should still be there.  Sync it from itunes to the ipod touch.

  • How do you download music from your computer to your ipod touch

I am trying to download my music from my computer to my iPod Touch and when I plug it in it says no device found!

    Hi Joshie Pumped Up Boudreaux,
When you connect your iPod to your computer, is the iPod's battery dead? If so, it won't turn on for about 10-15 minutes (at least). Once the battery has enough charge, you should see the Apple logo, and it should start up.
Otherwise, see this article if you're using a Windows computer or this one if you're using a Mac.
    Hope this helps,
    O.C.

  • Can I transfer music from my iPad to my iPod nano without a laptop?

I do not seem to be able to transfer music between Apple products. Both my iPad and my iPod nano have a lightening fitting but there do not seem to be any lightening to lightening cables around in order to transfer from my iPad to my iPod? I'm downloading music to my iPad from iTunes, yet I am unable to put these on my iPod which, as a dance teacher, is extremely frustrating. I've tried switching on the Bluetooth on both products to see if this works and it does not. I do not currently have a laptop, so please can someone advise as to whether I can actually share the music that I've paid for between my devices? I really hope so.

You cannot transfer music directly between your iPad and iPod nano.
To do what you want you need a computer.
When you have one, sync both devices to the same iTunes running on that computer. This will also backup both your devices which you should do regularly anyway.
