Struggling to set up. Need help with pairing Apple TV and the remote. Any guidance, other than holding down the Menu and R buttons?
I am using Ethernet cable to connect Apple TV. I have connected to Cable TV box as directed by cable provider. I have connected the HDMI cable from TV back to the Apple TV box. Power cord is connected. What am I doing wrong? Remote and Apple TV are not connecting....

I have a "Contact" organization issue I need help with. I organize multiple customers under their account affiliation. I place the people with their contact info under each account name by their dept/role in the notes section of their account. I am looking to be able to directly dial / email from this info in yet notes section located within a contact. On Blackberry, the notes area entered in a contact can connect directly but on the iPhone those numbers/emails are inactive. I am trying to avoid having to create each of these individuals as a separate contact and keep them under their account affiliation. It is easier to find them. This does not seem like that complicated of a request and hoping someone can tell me how or share an app that will enable the "notes" within a contact be "active". Hope this makes sense.
I seem to recall that this question has been asked before and I'm pretty sure that the answer is that you can't do what you want to do with the native contact app. However, there are lots of contact apps out there that pull from the built app's data but have other features. Perhaps one of them would meet your needs.

I have a mid-2011 iMac running Mavericks. When I click restart the computer goes to a white screen with a spinning circle and does not go any further until I hold down the power button to turn it off. What do I do?
Ok, sounds like the safe mode boot worked... You probably don't want to always be in safe mode though (some reduced functionality) so does it do a normal boot now? If not, you should then reboot into safe mode and run Disk Utility. Then select Macintosh HD on the left hand side, and click the Verify Disk button. If needed, it will ask you to Repair Disk. If there are errors found, Repair Disk again until there are none. Then try another normal boot and reply with result, wether good or bad.

I need help with an Apple ID problem...
I own a Macbook and an iPod touch, I have downloaded numerous apps for the iPod over the years. 18 months ago my boyfriend got an iPhone 3GS and created an Apple ID but it would not let him download apps due to some kind of issue registering his bank card. At the time I tried to sort it out and told him to get in touch with Apple support but he was impatient and wanted to start getting apps right away so I caved in and let him use my Apple ID. The next day I realised this was a stupid thing to do when all his apps started appearing in my iTunes. However I didn't see it as too much of a problem at the time...
Tomorrow I am going to pick up my shiny new iPhone 5 (my first iPhone ) and I am worried about plugging it into my Mac and having all these apps that I really don't want around in my iTunes. I am imagining an absolute pain in the bum trying to sort all these apps out and syncing them to the right devices? I would absolutely love to just shift all his apps over to his Apple ID, he has loads of stuff that he needs to keep now. He does not have a computer himself, but there is no real need to plug his iPhone into my macbook ever again. You can't. All apps are forever tied to the ID used to originally obtain them. In your case, that would be your ID. He really needs to get his own ID, delete these apps, then purchase them using his ID.
For you, just delete what you don't want from your iTunes library. -

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I need help with combining two pdf files together but it won't let me in the latest Acrobat DC?

I had two ai files, 11 by 17 on separate pages, and made them into pdf's. When I combine the files, it will let one out of the two files go through. The funny thing is that it will let the larger file go through than the smaller file. The file that went through had been in ai, dropped it into photoshop and put it back into ai again. The file that won't go through is a quote with different text. What should I do? What does pdf/a, pdf/x, pdf/e and preflight mean?

Need help with an Apple Video Conferencing webcam
I am having a fit trying to get my Performa (6500/225) to work with the hardware I have. Previously I had a Performa 6400/180. I have an Apple Video Conferencing webcam that I was able to make work with OS 9.1. It worked with the original software that came with it and it worked with the software for the Logitech Quickcam (QuickPict setting) I was even able to use it with Ivisit (webcam program). Now that I've had to change the harddrive and reinstall everything, it doesn't work with anything but the original software.
Can anyone tell me what extensions I might need or how to configure it so it will work with what I already have?
Performa 6500/225 Mac OS 9.1.xThanks to all who tried to help. As it turned out it was not a problem with the cam. It took some time and some tweaking but I did get it to work. I had a problem with the webchat program iVisit and I was able to get that solved thru their tech support forum.
This Apple Video Conference camera was a great find. I recommend it to anyone who still uses a vintage mac like mine. What a shame it was discontinued. -
HT1918 Need help with default Apple ID on my iPhone
I must have incorrectly entered my date of birth when I first set up my Apple ID. Since I don't remember the password for that account, the system asks me for security purposes to enter my date of birth, but when I do, gives me an error message.
I've set up a new Apple ID that works fine on my Mac, but my iPhone always defaults to the original Apple ID and I'm locked out from doing any updates, etc.

I need help with 2 apple IDs and how to handle them.
i have 2 apple ids and I was told I can only use one and I will lose all of the items I have purchased under the one I want to delete. Is there any way to transfer the info over to my other Apple ID?
You won't lose media purchased with your IDs. Just authorize your computer for each ID in iTunes under Store>Authorize This Computer. Then sign into the iTunes store using the ID you want to use for your purchasing in Store>Sign In. What you may have heard is that your computer can only be associated with a single ID every 90 days. (It becomes associated with an ID when you enable Automatic Downloads in iTunes>Preferences>Store, download previous purchases for an ID or subscribe to iTunes Match.
Purchases can't be transferred between IDs. -

Need Help with a Flash Web Project
Hello, everyone. I am trying to use Flash to make a two-step
system. I want the flash document to, first, allow a person to
upload multiple image files and then, second, for the flash
document be able to create a slideshow with the uploaded images and
fade in and out from each image until the slideshow is over. I want
it to be where the flash document creates its own slideshow with
the images that are uploaded in the first step that I mentioned. I
want it to do it completely on its own so I need to know how to
give it the proper AI so that it can do this task.
So, are there any tips that anyone has on how to do this? Can

for my new website project. Thanks in advance, everyone!The problem with the text not appearing at all has to do with you setting the alpha of the movieclip to 0%. Not within the movieclip, but the movieclip itself. The same for the xray graphic, except you have that as a graphic symbol rather than a movieclip. To have that play while inhabiting one frame you'll need to change it to a movieclip symbol.
To get the text to play after the blinds (just a minor critique, I'd speed up the blinds), you will want to add some code in the frame where you added the stop in the blinds animation. You will also need to assign instance names for the text movieclips in the properties panel, as well as place a stop(); in their first frames (inside).
Let's say you name them upperText and lowerText. Then the code you'd add at the end of the blinds animation (in the stop frame) would be...
_parent.upperText.play();
_parent.lowerText.play();
The "_parent" portion of that is used to target the timeline that is containing the item making the command, basically meaning it's the guy inside the blinds telling the guy outside the blinds to do something.
You'll probably want to add stops to the ends of the text animations as well.
If you want to have the first text trigger the second text, then you'd take that second line above and place it in the last frame of the first text animation instead of the blinds animation.
Note, on occasion, undeterminably, that code above doesn't work for some odd reason... the animation plays to the next frame and stops... so if you run into that, just put a play(); in the second frame to help push it along.
PS GotoandPlay would actually be gotoAndPlay, and for the code above you could substitute play(); with gotoAndPlay(2); -
