When I was a student, I purchased the Student Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium and installed it on my MacBook Pro laptop. My laptop is breaking down and I want to use my Student Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium on my new Mac computer, how do I do this? If I graduated & am an alumna, can I still use my Student Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium on my new computer? Thank you in advance.

Thanks!There are two options for you to do it... if you have a .edu e-mail address, you should have been able to just auto-verify when you made the purchase.
If you don't have a .edu e-mail address, you can send in a scanned copy of your photo student id to them for verification (you should have gotten an e-mail with instructions).
If you don't have a photo id (a homeschool student, for example), you can send them a copy of an invoice for textbook curriculum that you've purchased within the last academic year (my sister did that when she bought a Photoshop license this summer).
Ultimately you should have gotten instructions from Adobe on how to validate, so just double check e-mails from them and see if you can find what you need.
When I bought my first copy I was a college student without a validated .edu e-mail address, so I sent in a copy of my photo-id. Now I'm a staff member at a college and they recognize my .edu e-mail address... So I can tell you from personal experience that all three options above work. -
I bought a new Macbook Pro 13 inch in December 2011 and I bought the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium shortly after and installed it on the computer. The other day my friend spilled his drink on my computer and it is now going to cost me $800 to get it fixed so I am considering getting a new one instead of getting mine fixed I'm not sure if the memory is still ok or not either. It didn't get that wet and Apple told me it is more than likely ok but there is no guarantee that they are going to keep the memory when they fix it. So I was wondering if I get a new one if I can install the Suite on the new one I still have the product key and serial number for the Suite. Or if I decide to get mine fixed and the memory is swept, then can I reinstall it on mine after it is fixed? If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank You

I am trying to finish the installation of Reader from Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium and it will not let me proceed because it says "Please close the following applications to continue. Google Chrome.exe" , I don't have any Chrome applications open and I have even gone to Add/Remove Programs and removed Chrome from my PC. Still get error. Any advice?

Adobe creative suite 5.5 design premium upgrade
I am installing adobe creative suite 5.5 design premium upgrade on a new laptop. I installed the upgrade and entered the serial number and received the green check. It never ask for a prevoius serial number from the previous product. Each time I open a program in the suite, it will ask for the serial #. I will reenter the serial number and get the green check mark. I must reenter each time I open the program or any of the programs in that suite.

While upgrading Adobe Creative Suite CS4 ME into Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5 Design Premium, I get an error saying This serial number is not of a qualifying product, please try another. I used to be able to get a code from customer service but I can't get to the chat. Please advise!!!!
MoeGhazal I reviewed your account and it looks like you have have upgraded from a CS4 volume license for Design Premium to a retail upgrade of Design Premium 5.5.
I also show that you made two purchases of CS5.5 Design Premium but the second purchase was canceled. Please make sure you are utilizing the serial number which ends in 7886.
If you are using the correct serial number then it is likely the installer will not recognize your volume license CS4 serial number as being valid for an upgrade. If you can contact our support team then you can be walked through an unlocking procedure to allow you to proceed with the installation. You can contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care. You may want to try installing a web browser you have not previously utilized. It is likely a toolbar or some other software application is affecting your ability to access chat support successfully.

You use the word "redeem" which might mean you dealt with a redemption code for the first installation. The redemption code is used to acquire a serial number. From that point you use the serial number to activate all installations. -
Problems installing Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium
I'm trying to install Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium on a new computer (Windows 7) from DVD's and receive an Installation Status message at the end of installation that says there were 2 fatal errors, 43 errors, and 43 warnings. It installs some of the programs, but doesn't install Illustrator, InDesign, or Flash Catalyst. I've tried installing four times and received the same message each time. I've verified with Adobe Customer Support that I'm using the correct serial number code. Any thoughts/suggestions?
