Sub Folder auto-creation in N82 images, whats the ...

So I get a folder 200810 for October 08, but within it I get folders 200810A0,200810A1,200810A2,200810A3, etc.
Anybody able to tell me why I get these folders, and/or what their formation is based on. It's not based on the numbers of fotos, so is it based on mega pixel total,.
They seem like an unnecessary hurdle in navigating images, anyway to stop them coming into being, or what use are they?

The multicolumn Finder can confuse some Windows people, because it only sorts one way. Also the New Folder shortcut is not what you expect it to be. In Mac OS 9, it was simply command-N. It is now command-shift-N in Mac OS X. So you have to select the folder you want to create the folder inside of, make sure the rightmost column shows the contents of that folder you want to create the folder in, and then select command-shift-N, or new folder from the File menu. If in list or icon view, only the active folder is where you will store the new folder when you command-shift-N. The Title of the window in List or Icon view indicates where a new folder will be stored. Only multicolumn Finder gives you more control in the same window where you create a new folder.

If you are trying for automatic creation of strorage location for goods movement to special stock, then ithe data will nit be created. This standard SAP functionality.
Also if you have maintained storage location in the preceeding documents, then it will automatically fetched during goods reciept.

Where is the "On My Mac" section? Tried to make a new folder for junk as a sub-folder in Trash. Didn't realize the location was set for "On My Mac" and now I can't find it.

Want a junk folder that I can see. Also, I did see this question elsewhere with no answer: when an email is brown & says it's junk, there is no option for saying it's not junk and to not mark email from that sender as junk again.

If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. Auto-Creation of chapter links within the content directory

Hello,
I have a Microsoft Word document with various chapters and a content directory at the beginning. After creating an Adobe PDF file with the Acriobat 9.0 Pro Office PlugIn I want to link the various chapters within the content directory with their chapters below in the document.
Is this only possible manually with the link tool or is there an automated way to do this?

In fact it was originally a StarOffice Text document with a content directory, which was saved as word file.
What do you mean with "heading and related styles" within Word? Do I have to recreate the content directory in Word?
In the Acrobat help there is an option, which is "Convert cross-references and table of contents to links": But this option is only available in Wird 2002 and 2003, but not in 2007. Maybe in WOrd 2007 it will be converted automatically.

Encore in /86 folder and process says *32. What the heck?

I've just reinstalled CS Production being careful to not install the 32 bit version but my (slow) build still shows Encore is starting in the /86 program folder and the process says *32 following Encore.exe so I have to assume Encore is running as a 32 bit program. Or trying to... Have I missed something? Could this be the reason one simple motion menu takes 30 minutes to render? (Walter)

I am not 100% sure (you should check the information at the Premiere Pro CS5 product page) but I think only PPro and After Effects are 64bit... not Encore
But, as I say, I could be wrong about that, so do go check the product page to verify that Encore is or is not 32bit only

Folder and Sub-Folder Batch load Script

What I'm looking for I'm not ever sure is possible, but what I need is a script that will search for predefined sub-folder names within a specific "root" folder and run a script I have to load those images into a Photoshop document found within the root folder. When loading these images, it will also need to place the images into a specific group within the Photoshop document, depending on the sub-folder that contained them. So images in the sub-folder "A" need to be loaded into the group "A" in the Photoshop document, images in sub-folder "B" into group "B" and so-on. The number and name of images within the sub-folders are, however, random; so this would also need to be accounted for. Additionally, if possible, I would like the script to ask the user to locate this root folder each time before proceeding; otherwise, if not possible, a static folder location can also be used. Profile-mismatches as in: When the container document and the image to be placed are of different Color Spaces (different ICC-profiles).
Could you give this a try (on a copy of your files naturally); it places as Smart Objects (depending on your Photoshop > Preferences > General settings), but you could always rasterize after the import or chenge the preference in the Scripts and reset it at the end:

Can I add a third party filter (ASFROC) to the filter sub-folder of Photoshop Elements 13?

I have been using a third party filter (Applied Science fiction R-O-C (now Kodak)) with Photoshop elements 9. After upgrading to Elements 13 I would like to continue using the ASFROC plug-in filter. Can I just add it to the Filter sub-folder in Elements 13?

I believe the problem is those filters are 32 bit filters and you most likely have the 64 bit version of photoshop elements 13.
The 64 bit version of pse 13 requires 64 bit filters, so you wouldn't be able to use the Kodak filters in pse 13
Which operating system are you using?
If windows, is your windows system 32 or 64 bit?
(the mac version of pse 13 is always 64 bit)

When will Muse get a sub folder structure?

Please Adobe - can you add a sub folder structure hierarchy to Muse. At the moment, unless somebody knows differently, the only workaround is to create an entirely new Muse site and link from the parent site.

How are you running this program? Is there a top level vi which calls the ones you posted? The Display image on screen.vi will display two images in succession, but according to the note on the block diagram the second image is blank. It seems as though this would intentionally create a flicker.
The sequence structure is unnecessary. Dataflow will determine the order of execution. The only exception is the time delay in the third frame. Since it has no data dependency, a single frame sequence may be useful to assure that the delay occurs before the picture is updated. A simple state machine might be a more versatile architecture for what you may be trying to do.
It is not necessary to write the FR.PanelBounds property immediately after reading it, nor is it necessary to read it a second time in the second frame. Just wire from the first read.

Presently: 120 page Blurb publishing with 190 images
I have created a large number of INDD documents that I piece together from many sources,
such as file folders, internet searches, external drives, emails...kind of grabbing things
from all over the place. usually I publish this as a PDF for local and archival use. Sometimes
using this also for newsletters and other ways to distribute documents as pdf and epub.
I never really paid to much attention to LINKED FILES and where they might
be located, as my intent was PDF and you can publish a very
serviceable Pdf without verifying or correcting MISSING LINKS...
NOW, I am working on a higher end 120 page Photo BOOK to have printed on paper.
I did not organise my image assets into a folder, i should have first. Now as I go to
upload to the publisher I find I have to many missing links to images. So I am going
back through the whole project and organising the assets and re-linking...what a lot of work this is.
I was wondering if InDesign supports automatic creation of assets folder?
As you place images, with their links, the program creates a folder and puts a copy of the file there?
I don't see anything about this subject.
I am wondering why not? It would sure make the work flow speed up. Options for
the format, size, pip etc. Does this exist in InDesign and if not
wtf not?
Sure would appreciate anyone's thoughts on this. It is to late now to save this
relinking 190 images, but I realise I need to be better prepared with my assets in the
future. I work on a number of publications, some spontaneously and others
more carefully planned...some sort of auto process for asset-linked-folders
seems a simple enough coding issue. It is 2014 already.

Thanks to everyone for these answers. I guess the real answer is "no", Adobe software engineers see no reason to create a script which
will place linked files into a folder. To bad. A really serious and lazy oversight in my view. The package function is helpful if one has already
organised their assetts.
As great as these programs are, this is an oversight of some frustration. As I said in my comments above, it seems an easy enough routine to program
into the app. Why should a user have to worry about collecting details of resources/links for a document?
Even after all these years?

Sub folder Creation in Finder?

I've tried to create a subfolder under a main folder in my Documents within the Finder window wanting the subfolder to fit below the main folder I select. However, I select the main folder and then go up to the top of my finder window and click on create new folder. The new folder is then put under the main Finder structure not the folder I had clicked on. In the Windows XP environment once you click on a main folder and then select create a new folder it nests the subfolder below the folder you had chosen. I have to believe there is a way to do the same with Mac. Any ideas out there?

Bug with workflow that creates a folder and sub folder with the same name.

I've found a possible bug in SharePoint 2010 workflows. I only have access to SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint Designer 2010 over my companies intranet, afaik I don't have access to to logs or anything server side so sorry for the any missing information.
I had some problems with a workflow in one list that needed to create some folders and subfolders in a second list. The production version did a lot more so I setup a test area with 1 list and a workflow that only does the folder creation part and have managed
to consistently replicate this problem.
The test list has two columns, [title] and [sub folder title]
The workflow starts by getting the values for [title] and [sub folder title] into variables.
It then creates a folder in the same list with the same name as [title], and then creates a sub folder under this with the name from [sub folder title]
So the resulting structure would be:
Test List:-
List item with fields [title] and [sub folder title]
[folder: title]:-
[folder: sub folder title]
If both folder names are different (e.g Folder1 and Folder2) then it works perfectly fine, if both folder names are the same (regardless of character case, e.g. samefolderName and sameFolderName) then the workflow fails.
As part of the test i made the first action of the workflow to log the message "Workflow Started" to the history list. When the workflow fail there's nothing logged in the history list other than the error: "The workflow could not update the
item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information."
Creating a sub folder with the same name as it's parent works fine manually but for some reason a workflow can't seem to do it in one action.
As there's no history list entries before the error it looks like the workflow is just failing to start but if i do something like add an if statement to check if [title] and [sub folder title] are the same, and only create the subfolder when they are not
then it runs fine doing what it's set to.
The function of the workflow in our office was for convenience so were just working without it. Just wanted to post to see if anyone else has come across this/could try to replicate or explain this and see if it's a SharePoint bug or something specific
to our setup.

not sure about the specifics of your workflow, but if you're querying the list for the folders... keep in mind that a list lookup will only ever bring back ONE item... even if there are several items that meet the filter criteria... example: if i search
a list for an item assigned to "john doe", there may be 15 tasks that meet the criteria, and it'll only grab one... this is why SP Designer WARNS you when your list lookup may exhibit this behavior.

Auto Smart Tone no longer changes the image (custom mode) when I click on the sample corner image

I open a new project in Adobe Premiere Elements 13 APE13 and add a raw data file (converted movie). I trim the frames I don’t want out and then click on Auto Smart Tone so that I can correct the problems with the film clip. I choose custom and Adobe opens the screen with the 4 small sample picture images in the corners of a frame. I notice that there are 2 messages in the upper left corner. “Your clip has been divided into visually similar Scenes.” And “Auto Smart Tone has already corrected all of your Scenes. You can fine tune the results if needed, and Auto Smart will learn from your adjustments.” When I click on any of the four corners the grid in the middle comes up and moves to the corner selected. The picture in the middle does not change. I couple of projects back I did the same thing and the frame/scene changed to look like the image in the selected corner. I like the results I saw in the corners and clicking on them and moving the like cursor in the grid allowed me to adjust the image slightly. Why, is this now not working? Is it because AST is automatically setting the new film to the old settings (why I get the message that it has already corrected the scene)? I don’t want the auto correction. How do I get rid of the corrections to allow this feature to work as it did in the past?

If the old will not do what it was doing presently, let us try the following first, that is, deletion of the Adobe Premiere Elements Pref file, and, if that does not work, the whole 13.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists...in your Windows 7 64 bit

and in the 13.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. And, if that does not work, then delete the whole 13.0 Folder in which it exists.
Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives disabled so that you can see the complete path cited.
Please let us know if the above impacted the Auto Smart Tone interaction with your files brought into it.
Another, sort of way out thought, make a copy of one of your files (one from good before but not now, and one from newer batch with just the bad) and rename the copy of each.
Import the newly named files in the feature and observe the results.
We will be watching for your results.

Cannot remove auto bookmarks on N82

Hi all,
My problem is that I cannot delete my auto bookmarks on N82. Here's what I've tried:
Web -> Options -> Settings -> Privacy -> Auto Bookmarks -> Off
Web -> Options -> Clear privacy data -> All
Web -> Options -> Clear privacy data -> History
When I do this the phone says that it's cleared the data but the data doesn't get cleared.
When I make the auto bookmarks folder appear, I can select and delete the auto bookmarks one by one. If I exit the Web application (Options -> Exit) and then restart it the bookmarks are gone. But if I restart the phone and then the Web application, the bookmarks are there again. Surely this must be a bug.
My phone is the N82 but I believe the problem is not limited to this model:

Is there any fix/workaround for this?

Software update cannot find installed App's in sub-folder

Hi All,
I have same kind of problem - I created folder called "iLife' 11" and moved there all App's which belong to this package. As soon as I did this Software Update cannot find anything. For example Apple released iPhoto' 11 (9.1.1) update and Software Update did not find it until I moved it back to "Applications".
BTW I have same problem with Adobe App's. Adobe update did not see Photoshop which has been moved to sub-folder.
My question is DO I have any chance to put App's to sub-folder and get them automatically updated by Software update? IF so, what should I do?

All sub-folders located in /Applications/ not in /Users/username/Applications. Actually /Users/username/Applications/ is empty on my mac.
What I trying to have is sub-folder (for example called Photo where I will have all applications for working with images (Photoshop, Nikon Scan, SilverFast and so on) in one locations or iLife' 11.
I took this idea from folder "Utilities" I can put App there and it worked and updated without any problems.
As far as I understand this problem (from Unix point of view) is a PATH problems. Software Update cannot find App in the folder which not listed in PATH.
If I create link (allies) for application in /Applications/ folder it will updated.
