Subcontracting for dismantling the Finished material

hi...
i hav a finished material .PUMP..which has come frm th customer..(due 2some fault)...out of which i can use some of the parts lyk shaft and fans and rotors...
so im sending this PUMP to subcontracting VN to dismantle the PUMP...and he wil send back the parts lyk fans, shafts and rotors..and im paying the service chrge for dismantling the pump..
i want to explode the BOM in PO for PUMP. here tje componets will b shaft , fan and rotors
and main product in PUMP.
Rgrds,
AVS

Hi Ravi,
In the case you have mentioned, can you help me in understanding the following:
1. After doing the GRN of Pump, you have the pump in your stock. This is not desired as per the question.
2. And since you are not doing the 541of components (you are just sending the Pump), how do you intend to reverse with 542??
As suggested above, there are no suitable movement types available for this dismantling.

Arpit

  • Extrusion Sales price based on multiple parameters of the Finished Material

    Hi Gurus,
Scenario: Extrusion Industry- Finished Material price to be calculated, based on the following parameters:
    1. Basic Price of the Finished Material
    2. Alloy Market Price
    3. Temper Price
    4. Type of Finish based Price
    5. Length ordered based price
    A. Customer wants the Sale Price of the Finished Material to be sum of 12345.
    B. Customer wants to Change the Basic price for few Customers.
    C. Customer wants to Change the Sale Price of the Finished Material based on the Market fluctuations with respect to the Alloy used in the production of the Finished Material.
How to address, this type of Scenario ? Those who have come across similar scenarios in Extrusion Industry can share their experiences ?
Do we need to go with Variant Pricing ? If so, do we need to go with KMAT or FERT ?
    Thanks & Regards

    hi,
    1. Basic Price of the Finished Material
       Kondition xxx1  Access : 1. Kunnr / Matnr   ex      ( B )
                                                 2. Matnr
    2. Alloy Market Price

    6. Summ of 1 - 5
    7. xxx6 Manual Price   with exclusion of xxx1 to xxx5      for C - manual Price
    or
xxx7 Rabatof sum 6   for the scenario c -- for scenario c, there is to less information, what there should be done.
so far, i dont see a reason for variant pricing.

  • Subcontracting with the finished material to be given to the customer

    dear all,
I want to implement a scenario, in which i want do subcontracting. the material shall not be given by me but shall be ordered to another vendor who shall give it to the subcontractor, the subcontractor shall give the finished product to the customer. I would like to do the goods receipt and receive the invoice from the sub contractor.
Please tell the procedure if any one has implemented this scenario.
    regards

    Hi,
    1) For bought out material (to be given by your vendor to Sub-Contractor) - Preferably this PO should be generated from MRP generated PR (requirement coming from the sale order). You can change the delivery address (in Delivery Address tab at Item Details level). In the bought out material PO, you can maintain the vendor number (of your sub-contractor) & put tick at SC Vend. This will change the delivery address to the sub-contractors address. When you post GRN the material stock will be shown as material provided to sub-contractor.
    2) For Sub-Contractor Vendor (material directly to be given to the customer) - The condition you maintained is of the Third Party Supply. The PR for this PO must be generated from the sale order you booked in the system (for the customer to which you want to deliver the material). Maintain the procurement key as F (External procurement) & special procurement key in the material master as 30 (Sub-Contracting) for this material. Using this PR, raise the sub-contracting PO. When you post the GRN for this material the material will be posted to the material supplied to customer & the account hitting at GRN will be COGS (Cost of Goods Sold). The material provided to the sub-contractor (directly from the bought out material vendor) will be consumed at this GRN.
    Hope this helps.

  • How can I get the material consumption of the month for each specific Finished Good?

(Sorry, I first opened this discussion in another space. I guess here's where it belongs).
    Dear Experts,
This is the first time I open a discussion. I'm new at this. I've been reading for a couple of months your forums and certainly you've helped me a lot. Thanks for that. Keep it up! ^_^
Now on business. Let me explain a bit about what I'm looking for.
I've been looking for a report that shows me the material consumption of the month in quantities. Raw Material and Packaging Material to be more specific. Also I need to see the consumption of those materials by each specific Finished Good.
For example, I know the consumption of Flour of all the month, but we use it for all our Finished Goods or SKU's as we call them, since we make cookies. How can I know how much Flour each Finished Good actually used?
I've been trying with different T-Codes, reports, etc. The last thing I've got is using transaction MB51 and filtering movements type from 261 to 262. The beauty of this report is that shows me the Process Order number, since I can match the PO number to a Finished Good with another report from BI (or BEX, however you call it).
Everything was fine until I found that there are some PO's that are not directly related to a Finished Good, but to a Semi Finished Good. In some cases I'm able to match the Finished Good, since the majority of Semi Finished Goods are uniques to a Finished Good. But there are three specific cases that are my problem right now:
Cream X: We use it for three Finished Goods.
X Syrup: We use it for all the Finished Goods.
Refined X Sugar: We use it for three Finished Goods.
So those three are Semi Finished Goods which are related to certain numbers of PO's I have on the report.
In the end, with the report from MB51 I have all the list of materials (filtering only Raw and Packaging), I have the consumption of the month (filtering movements 261 and 262) and I have the PO number related to each material. Of course one material is listed many times on the report, but with different PO number.
Then, like I said, I can match the PO number to a Finished Good, except in the cases where the PO is not matched to a Finished Good, but to a Semi Finished Good like the three examples I gave you.
I don't know if there's another way to track the Finished Good having the PO number. I've tried T-Code COR3, but couldn't get too far.
I hope I explained myself a bit clear and also sorry if my English is not so good.
    Thanks in advance. ^_^
    Warm regards,
    Rol

    Hi Rolando,
If the purpose is to find the consumption of a material, you can get it from report "MC.9". Plz let me know if it's useful.

  • Finish material is not showing at the time of confirmation

    Dear all ,
Finish material is not showing in the goods movement tab .So that movement type 101 is not possible at the prod ord confirmation .
Goods movement is accepting in mb31.
    So plz suggest me

    Abhay,
I think you are asking for Auto GR,whereby upon confirmation GR will happen automatically in the background
    Required Setting
In the routing ,to the last operation assign PP03(Auto GR-Std SAP) as the control key instead of PP01
After that while doing confirmation for last operation in CO11N,there if you click the goods movement tab you will be able to see the finish material with movmnt type 101
    Hope the above is clear
Reward points if useful n close the thread

  • Finished material Price when i do GR for Prod.Order

    Dear all,
after i finished the Production Order i made GR for the Finished Material ,during this One Material Price is posted to the G/L  account, I want to know how the Prices came. I saw this in Production order Cost Aanlysis screen.
Please note we are using Moving Avg Price.
Please help me to know the Concept.

    Kumar,
When a GR is made, system looks for the Valuation Class/Materail Type of the material and the Movement type used to determine automatically which account needs to be hit.
The price is determined by the valuation variant assigned to the valuation area(Plant). Here we define from where the sytem should take the price.

  • Update the stock without Production for the Excise material

    Hello,
I need to update the finish stock in the inventory of Excise material, but for the same i dont have Production Module,
pls suggest me how can i update the inventory of finished product in store with which movement type and how shall i update the RG23 table.
    Regards
    JAY

    Hi,
Follow the below steps for uploading the excise stock balance
    1. Maintain the material and chapter ID combination in J1ID and material type as Raw material  raw material and Finished goods for Finished goods.
    2. Maintain Material form in SE16N table maintaince for all the finished goods in table J_2IRG1BAL.
    For example:
If you want to run the RG1 report from 01.01.2004 maintain the following
entries in table J_2IRG1BAL for all RG1 material.
EXGRP: Excise group of the material
DATUM: Date from which you want RG1 report i.e. 01.01.2004
    MATNR: Material
FORM: P for packed, L for loose. note that the same material cannot be
maintained as both packed and loose.
    WERKS: Leave it blank
Maintain all relevant opening balance fields. These fields start with
    OP
Enter the username in USNAM and CPUDT (current date).
    17.01.2012 Page 2 of 4
SAP Note 951955 - CIN: General clarifications for RG1
    goods
When ever a new material is created this has to be done. For more details
    refer the Note No.373001.
    4. Upload initial stock for raw material & FG using MVT 561.(In SPRO the excise entry for movement type 561 has to be maintained)
    5. Maintain excise balance for all the register using table maintainance in SE16N in table J_1IACCBAL.
    6. Then make excise entry in transaction J1I5.

  • Purchasing organizations responsible for purchasing the material

    hi every body
i have created 1 purchase requisition for some material.
in my company there are 10 purchasing organizations.
there is no work flow in company.
Can you tell me out of these 10 purchasing organizations which one is responsible for purchasing the same material.
Does Purchasing group creates any link for this.
    Regards
    Sujit

    Hi
    Just follow this
    1) you can use AUTHORISATION,i.e - particular t.code the user id is authorised to use the particular document type.
Create Roles (PFCG)for the document type for PR and assign the role to the user i.d(su01)-.In the Roles for the T.code(PR)you mention the document type(pfcg).
So that you can restrict the document type to particular purchasing organisation...
there is no need of workflow.
    hope it helps

  • Finished material forecast

    Hi Gurus,
Can anybody please clarify my confusion. Our business wants to forecast to the finished material, saying how many will need to be produced in a given time frame. based on this the system will kick the reuqirements down to the level of raw material. Now in MM02 on the forecasting view there is foreacast values button, do we maintain here the forecast values of the finished material that we anticipate to build, Or is it in MD61 - planning table where we maintain the sales forecast. The whole objective of the sales forecast is to make the purchasing dept ready with teh materials that are procured externally to be able to meet the forecast of the finished material. Please help
    Thanks
    Anusha

    Hi Anusha,
It will be better to use MD61 rather than MM02 & Forecast button.
In both cases you can plan Raw Materials using the BOM and the MRP (PP)
If you want to populate the values Manually the MD61 is the transacction
If you want the system to Forecast the values use MM02 + Forecasting.
If you use MD61 that will generate the Planned Independant Requirements (PIR) that will generate the "Issue" of the Finished Goods. You will have to associate the Strategy Group (If you do not know about this start with strategy 40) in MRP 4 view.
Once you have your PIR available for the material MD04 you can run the MRP. Depending on the strategy and some other factors the PIR will disappear as soon as you start createing sales orders for the material.
    Kind regards,
    Federico

  • Serial number status of semi finished material.

    Hi Gurus,
I have a serialized finished product.
I have a serialized semi finished material as a component of that finished product.
After issuing the semifinished to the production order of the finished product, the serial number status of the semifinished item becomes AVL.
I dont want the semifinished serial number to be reused once it is issued to a production order and the finished material from that production order is delivered .
    Help me in acheiving this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Gowrisankar.p

    Hi Gowri Shankar,
You should maintain a User Status Profile for the Serial Number Profile, (Through Equipment Category).
Once the Semi finished Material with a particular Serial Number is Issued for a production order. The status should change to Say " Used". Then this Serial Number cannot be assigned again to a new Semifinished Goods.
User Status profile should be defined in transaction BS02.
    Thanks And Regards,
    Balasubramanian.

    Hi Hemant,
    Check this post
To find the semi finished goods used in a finished good
You can get the list of Semi finished materials for a finished material from the Bill Of Material.
Use this function module CSAP_MAT_BOM_READ to read the BOM.

  • Unable to post return delivery whne the input material is batch managed

    Hi,
While clearing the Subcontract GRN where the input material is batch managed, unable to put return delviery and the system throws error and unable to complete quantity posting.
    Please guide me.
    Regards,
    RR Gopalan

This is caused due to some technical restrictions in QM.
When the reverse movement is being posted through QM process, the goods movement is being created in the background and it is being posted without reference to a existing material document. That is the system behaves as if you create a return delivery via MB01. In this case, the system cannot determine the batch number. As the reverse is created in the background and the components are determined internally and the batch cannot be passed over from the QM transaction. To prevent postings and avoid unnecessary inconsistencies in stocks, system will issue the error message.
    Workaround:
The message M7389 is configurable. Hence please check in transcation OMCQ and set this as warning message. This would allow you to post the return delivery, But the problem is the batch nubmer would be wrong. So, You can define the corret batch number in the user-ext MBCFC010, it's MM related, You'd better to work with your MM colleagues.
    Best Regards,

  • How to send finish material for subcontracting ?

    Dear all ,
I per our client requirement finish materaila has to send for the drilling to the subcontractiong .
Shall i use subcontracting method in which material which i will send & which i will receipt will be same plz reply me .
    abhay

    Dear,
    It depends on your requirement
If the material is going and comming back after a perticular operation, and vendor is with in the company primises (no excise gate pass) then you can configure it as a external operation in a production order, but in system will not show the material sent to vendor for subcontarcting vendor, this informatoon you will get it in Production order only, not in inventory
I this is the case, system will create a SC PR during Production order release. Then you can convert it to SC PO and send the material to vendor. It is like a servive PO...
If you want to send component 1 and 2 to vendor and he will assemble and give it back to you and vendor is siyuvated outside your primises(excise gate pass involved), then you need to create a SC PO.
In this case you issue (541 O ovement) raw material to SC vendor ans system will show in inventory managmenet that the raw material is with SC vendor in MMBE. When you recive the assembly from SC vendor (using 101 mov type), system isues raw material to SC PO.
