Submissions to HTML DB Studio

Are submissions to HTML DB studio reviewed regularly? If a submission is not accepted, does the contributor get a polite response stating the reason?
I submitted a modified version of the Command Line export utility to the Studio many weeks back. Sent many followup emails to [email protected], the last one was strongly worded also.
Alas, still no response. I have to say, this is not very encouraging.
Over on that other thread, people want to increase the scope/role of the HTML DB Studio, make it a more vibrant, community-maintained area and all. And here, I take the time and effort to make a contribution, the least I would expect is to get a response!
Thanks

Chris,
Thanks for pointing that out - URL was correct, the way that the Forum displayed it was not (it was including the ")" as part of the link.

    All,
    We have added a new section called Utilities to the HTML DB Studio (http://htmldb.oracle.com/studio).
    This section is meant for any code snippets and utilities which you may have developed for use with HTML DB. We have pre-seeded the section with a couple of our own.

  • Askus (asktom) application for html db studio

    Hello,
    according to Tom Kyte you (the oracle html db team) wrote the basic "AskUs" Application which is used by asktom.oracle.com.
    Have you ever thought of providing the ask tom application/functionality as a sample application on html db studio?
    I would appreciate this as i'm searching for an easy to manage framework for publishing answers to questions, providing technical news information and rss-integration. This would be a good point to start.

    Scott,
    Thanks a lot for adding this demo app to your already tight schedule.
    This app would help us a lot. I'm planning to develop similar kind of application for our organization.

  • Themes on HTML DB Studio

    This is really a question for the guys who look after the HTML DB Studio.
    When are we likely to see any themes made available for download. I appreciate that it takes a long time to develop and test a theme and am very curios to see the work of people more graphically creative than myself.

  • HTML Help Studio?

    Hello,
    A forum search didn't return any results, so apologies if
    this has already been asked and answered:
    Where do I find the "HTML Help Studio"? We have a CHM that we
    need to decompile as we no longer have the project itself, and the
    instructions in RoboHelp Help indicate that this should be an
    option on the Tools window.
    However, I am not seeing this under Tools, nor under any
    other menu option.
    EDIT: We are using RoboHelp 7.
    Thanks!

    You can also decompile outside RoboHelp, using hh.exe which
    is part of Windows.
    Open a command shell and navigate to the directory containing
    the CHM to decompile (you may want to place a copy somewhere easy
    to type like C:\test).
    Give the command:
    hh -decompile scratch MyHelp.chm
    This will decompile the CHM file into a directory called
    scratch. The directory will be created if it does not exist, and
    files will be overwritten if they exist.
    What this procedure does not give you is the project file
    MyHelp.hhp; there are various tools which attempt to reconstruct it
    but none seems to be perfect.
    BTW I have RoboHelp 7.02.001 and HTML Help Studio is in View

  • Oracle HTML DB Studio Updated

    All,
    We've updated the HTML DB Studio with a new look, and also added a couple 1.6-specific applications.
    http://htmldb.oracle.com/studio
    You'll notice that all content is flagged by version - either 1.5.x or 1.6. Keep in mind that 1.5.x applications should import into 1.6 environments, but not the other way around.
    We've also added a Search feature, which searches all content (applications, themes, utilities and tips & tricks) in the Studio.
    Look for a few more 1.6 applications over the next couple of days from the HTML DB team.
    Please feel free to post any feedback or comments here.
    Thanks,
    - Scott -

    Scott,
    Looks great!! I look forward to the upcoming sample applications from the HTML DB team.
    It would be nice if the use of XML and Java is used in one of the upcoming samples.
    Thanks.

  • How to submit a html form using java

    hi friends,
    i have a html form with some input fields, when ever a user submit the form the user information is stored in the database. is it possible to pass the user information in the url(url rewriting) and submit it by a java program so that the data will be stored in the database, as like as, user submit it manually.
    for eg:
    /*sample.html*/
    <form action="store.jsp" method="post">
    User Data:<input type="text" name="userdata">
    <input type="submit">
    </form>
    in my java is it possible to store the record as below:
    URL url=new URL("http://localhost:7001/webapp/store.jsp?userdata=AutomaticDatasave");
    URLConnection con=url.openConnection();
    int i=0;
    while((i=con.getInputStream().read())!=-1)
    System.out.print(i);/*it has to print the data that store.jsp is returned like information stored or error storing data(what ever)*/
    }Edited by: rajaram on Oct 27, 2007 1:01 AM

    hi Drclap,
    Thanks for your reply, which is helpful to me....

    con.setDoOutput(true);
    BufferedWriter br=new BufferedWriter(new InputStreamWriter(con.getOutputStream()));
    String str="userdata=AutomateDataSave\n";
    br.write(str,0,str.length());
    br.flush()But
    Iam Getting Internal Server Error

  • Link to HTML DB Studio not working (for me)

    Hi,
    I tried to link to: http://htmldb.oracle.com/studio and got a page not found. Has this link moved, gone away ( temporarily or otherwise)?
    Is there a place to check the staus so I don't bother the Forum list?
    Secondly, the links to the HTML DB documentation from: http://htmldb.oraclecorp.com/pls/htmldb/f?p=17718:220:605672891989230178::NO:::
    haven't worked for a while. Where could I report that?
    Thanks, steve

    Just for kicks I downloaded the 1.0.7 tech preview of the HTTP-REST plugin and upgraded one of my 5.5.2 lab machines.  I was hoping upgrading an existing working host instead of trying to import the package might yield a different result.  It didn't.  I got the exact same result which makes me think it must be something in the definition of the host or one of the rest operations that whatever conversion is taking place is choking on.  Can anyone point me to a log that might be more revealing than the java error that is getting spit out?  I don't see anything super useful in the server log just that error saying "The Validated String is Empty".  I have a feeling whatever is going on has been around for a long time but my google skills are not revealing anything.

  • Align HTML  - Visual Studio = control + k + d

    Dreamweaver newbie here. Don't know the exact name to
    describe this but in Visual Studio you can align HTML by typing
    <control> + <k> + <d>. This makes it easy to see
    mismatched tags, etc. Plus it just makes it easier to see the flow
    of the HTML. I have looked high and low and cannot find this in
    Dreamweaver. Can someone please tell me how this is done in
    DW?

    "Commands -> Apply source formatting" will format your
    code so it will be easier to see the end matching tag if it is
    within the same "page" in the code view.
    To find matching tags, you can select the tag in the tag
    selector (bar at the very bottom of the document window. That
    doesn't technically find the matching tag, but it does select the
    entire tag, including the closing tag so you can see where it is if
    you scroll to the bottom of the selection, or if you hit the right
    arrow key, then the selection will move to just to the right of the
    closing tag.

  • Submit a html:form with a link

    Hey everyone I have a html:form which am I correctly submitting with html:submitt buttons. But I was told to submit with links and not buttons :S So I'm trying to do it. I'm trying to do it like this:
    <html:form action="/UpdateDeleteColecao.do" method="post" focus="colecao">
          <table border="0" align="center">
              <tr><td width="50%"> Coleo </td><td width="50%"><html:text property="colecao" value="${requestScope.col.colecao}" readonly="true"/></td></tr>
              <tr><td width="50%"> Descrico </td><td width="50%"><html:text property="descricao" value="${requestScope.col.descricao}"/></td></tr>
              <tr>
                 <td width="50%" align="center">
                   <html:link action="/UpdateDeleteColecao.do"> <bean:message key="button.add"/> </html:link>
                 </td>
                 <td width="50%" align="center">
                   <html:link action="/UpdateDeleteColecao.do"> <bean:message key="button.delete"/></html:link>
                 </td>
              </tr>
           </table><br/>
        </html:form> It is not working. I get the following error:
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    auge.form.AddColecaoForm.validate(AddColecaoForm.java:39)It works perfectly with the html:submit buttons. My action is a LookupDispatchAction. Is there a way to do it? Oh, a second question. What if I wanted to put the submit links to this form in a second frame, would that be possible?
    I wouldn't wanna use Javascript, because if it's disabled everything will fail terribly. SO, I wanna know if there's any other way.
    Thanks

    I cannot use the typical regular HTML "a href",
    because I have to call a struts action.No... you said you have to submit the form with a link. A link is an "a href", it's exactly what <html:link> generates. But a link cannot be used for form submitting except by invoking Javascript to do it programatically.
    Using an action in <html:link>, presuming that's really refering to an action and not just the href value, which is what I'm not really sure of. It's been a while since I've used Struts. So maybe the action is the href part, and you can put "javascript:void(0);" there?
    But I'm absolutely positive about the HTML/Javascript aspect. Struts tags don't alter how HTML works. They just make generating some HTML content easier. But in this case, I'm not sure that's helpful because I never found a simple way to get the actual form name that the <html:form> creates.

  • Calling a method with a html Submit button

    hi guys,
    is it possible to call a method from a JSP file using a HTML submit button. I know i can call another website easily doing it this way, is there a similar way available to call a method once the button is clicked?
    FYI
    The method is in a bean file named jdbc. The methods name is getUsername.
    Nice one.
    <form action = <%jdbc.getUsername()%> <input type="submit" value="Submit">

    Dear friend,
    you mentioned that u need to call a method when submit button is clicked. Is the method dynamically created. If not so, then you can include the method on the submit button html file itself.
