Subscribers can't download certain episodes but rss is fine

Im hosting a podcast that has about 20 episodes currently on the server. Through my webpage and rss file, everything works AOK. There are also people that have told me they are able to download most of the episodes through iTunes. However, I keep getting feedback that past episode 214, several subscribers can't get the rest of the shows. (IE 214-220).

still I went to the iTunes links and some of the older ones work but the last 4 that are up wont play saying "streaming server cannot accept anymore connections at this time".
So I am a little bit baffled because I as well as many others don't appear to have issues. But a lot of others say they are having trouble.
Thoughts?

It's quite impossible to make any comment without being able to look at the iTunes Store and the feed file. Do you feel like posting the URLs for these? You get the iTunes one by right-clicking on the podcast image in the Store page and choosing 'copy to clipboard'. Please include the http:// in both cases.

    I can't download single episodes of a podcast if I am subscribed to that podcast.
    I saw all sorts of threads on the board from February, but the issue seems unresolved, and I have been experiencing it for the last few days.
    Nothing happens when I hit the "Get Episode" button or "Subscribe Free."
    However, I can subscribe to new podcasts. And when I wanted to get an episode of a podcast I had already subscribed to, I deleted the podcast from my Library, went back to the ITunes store and hit "Subscribe for Free." The episode then downloaded into my Library.
    What's going on? Any fixes yet?

    If you can see the older episodes, but the Get button is missing, along with the Subscribe/Unsubscribe button, then you need to use the Repair option for iTunes.
    Do not uninstal iTunes. Download iTunes again and start the instal process. At some stage, you will see an option to Repair iTunes. Use this and once it's finished, the missing Get and Subscribe buttons will be restored.

    I can bring up certain websites but can't log-in.  I believe this has something to do with Verizon's software.   A few of the cites where this occurs are: healthcare.gov; united.com; genetaylorsrentals.com.   I have brought up these sites and logged in using my laptop and going through other ISPs (friend's home using Cox Communications connection (Newport News VA) and at  George Mason District Public Library (Fairfax County VA).  I am located in Annandale, VA.  Has anyone else experienced this problem; do you have a solution?

    Which Anti Virus are you using?  Do you have the issue with multiple browsers?
    I experienced login issues with some sites when using Avast AV with the WebRep plugin enabled.  I've had to disable the plugin to be able to complete the sign in process.

    Thank you very much for your response Rave.  I was finally able to install the programme with the help of the Adobe staff  -  turned out my computer needed to have 7 Zip Software installed first!  After that  -  no problems.

    I've never actually purchased anything on the iTunes Store apart from ringtones & apps, but i purchased a season pass for season 3 of The Valleys... I can see there's a new episode out but it's telling me to purchase the season pass again? It was fine for episode 1 & 2 but not 3. When I purchased it I was understanding that I have purchased every episode & can download the new episodes once they're available on the iTunes Store. Is there anything I can do?

    What happens when you try to download the episodes ? I assume that those 2 episodes are available in your country's store (?).

  • Suddenly I can't download podcast episodes to iPhone, but they'll still stream

    I seem to no longer be able to download podcast episodes on to my iPhone. When I update/refresh podcasts, the little numbers appear over podcasts, indicating there are new episodes: but when I go through to the podcast, I see the little "cloud + arrow" icon (whereas before they'd download automatically). I press on the cloud/arrow icon: it dims briefly, but nothing happens. In the "My Stations" view, there's the command "Download all" at the bottom: if I press that, it dims briefly, but nothing happens.
    The episodes still stream fine: if I play them, they'll play, with occasional lags from streaming. But I now seem unable to download them.
    Is anyone else having this issue?
    Please, please don't tell me this is just Apple's latest move in "improving" Podcasts: I'd be horrified but not entirely shocked if they decided "No, you don't really want to download podcasts - you should just stream them all the time, because that's the right way to do it. And you want to do it the right way, don't you? The Apple way. The only right way."
    This appears to have started this morning, and I updated with iOS 7.0.4 last night. Maybe that's a coincidence, or maybe it's connected.
    Just when I was reconciling myself to the Podcasts app ...

    Well, the tried and true may have worked: I turned the iPhone off and then on again, and now downloads seem to be working properly. On/off button, is there anything you cannot do?

    I can't download any of Real Time with Bill Maher episodes. I have created and logged in to itunes. Episodes are free but the 'subscribe' button is not interactable to me.

    It doen't even start down loading (it shows up on the DL page then immediately kicks out the stopped err -403 msg)
    Problem started with the 119 Episode on Feb 2 2008
    Starting with this point they (HBO) is releasing in the same feed the audio version and the Video version of the show.
    Same problem occurs for me with all following episodes.
    Ep 120 Feb 19
    Ep 121 Feb 24
    neither the video nor the Audio podcast can be DL'ed
    I'm worried HBO messed up the feed and there's no other way to subscribe to this podcast other than through iTunes.
    if you know another way let me know and I'll go and get it that way.

  • Can't download certain attachments; rolls across top of screen.

    When I receive certain attachments, I cannot open them. I click on the attachment, and boxes scroll across the top of the screen and keep on scrolling. I have to X out of the e-mail and start over again, and I never am able to download these attachments. I know that I have not done something that I am supposed to do to be able to download all attachments, but I don't know what that "something" is. I probably will not be able to understand what I am supposed to do. Obviously, the person sending the e-mail and attachment is using some kind of program to attach that I don't have. Help!

  • Can't download podcast episodes over cellular data

    I am running the current ios software and have the current Apple Podcast app installed. Since updating to 7.0.4 and installing the current app version, I now am having issues with downloading podcast episodes using cellular data specifically. You try and download an episode and it just freezes and then says "download error, tap to retry". You then get a massive popup saying "unable to download podcast" and underneath this, it says the podcast episode "could not be downloaded at this time". This happens not just with one specific podcast. I have tried everything I can think of and that Apple have suggested. I have:
    - Unsubscribed then resubscribed to podcasts I have seen this issue with
    - Closed out of the app and gone back in
    - Ensured at all times I have been attempting this, that cellular data has been on for podcasts
    - Switched cellular data off for podcasts and as a whole then I have switched back on
    - Done a hard reset of the phone
    - Deleted the Podcast app itself, reinstalled and then tried to download an episode over cellular data
    - Reset Network Settings
    - Performed a full restore of the device
    After doing the restore, I set the phone up as new and then installed just the podcast app and was able to download an episode over cellular data. I then restored my data from backup and then all of a sudden, I had the same issue again. I did another reset of the network settings and then the issue went away. The issue has returned yet again today. I called Apple to advise and they say they will investigate and get back to me.
    Has anyone else had this issue and have you managed to find a permanent solution? When I am on wifi, I don't have this issue at all. I attempted to download another app and a song from itunes over 3G and had no issues. As such, I can only conclude there must either be an issue with the app itself or ios7.0.4 has done some damage here. I like to download my podcasts on the train to work so don't always have the ability to download over 3G.
    A very annoying issue!

    I am having same problem, except mine is a movie rental on 3rd gen ipad wifi. It seems like this problem has been occuring for quite a few years and apple cant be bothered to fix it. It is really annoying because none of the fixes work. My movie is 99% downloaded and i cant play it or delete or retry the download. Its gona be a few months before anyone from apple decides to post to this thread anyway. Its a real shame. In the apple store not one "genius" cud help with this either.

    I would first double-check that you actually uninstalled them, usually the Adobe Application Manager checks the system to see what is currently installed, if Photoshop and Dreamweaver didn't actually get uninstalled that would explain what you are seeing.
    Don't uninstall, rather check if these products are listed here
    on Mac OS
    1. Double-click your hard drive.
    2. Go to Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers.
    on Windows
    1. Click Start > Control Panel.
    2. Click Programs and Features.
    If they didn't actually get uninstalled you should be able to convert the existing installations to be included as part of your Creative Cloud Membership using this workflow
